Chapter 65.

I soon arrived into the battlefield where the Shepherds were fighting against, a Plegian force trying to stop them from escaping, I quickly landed in front of the Shepherds, who were cheering along my Pokémon, as soon as I landed, I roared at the Plegian Army making them stop their attack and stared at me in shock.

However, one of the Plegian, a big muscular guys, immediately walked forward and raised his hands towards me, which made me paused, I was certainly not expecting any of them to surrender.

However, the Risen and Dragonoid Risen began to roar and snarl, not at all happy that the battle was stopped, but Emmeryn stood up on my head and raised her staff while casting a spell she learned from me, "Thy faithful servant asketh for thy blessing, honor us with the splendor of thy song... Holy Song!".

A pink aura spread from Emmeryn's body and traveled across the area, the Shepherds felt their strength increase, while the Risen and the Dragonic Risen began to scream and roar in pain, before bursting into pitch black smoke.

Being this far away from their source of power, weaken them enough, that a Holy Light spell casted by a Sage like Emmeryn, could easily destroy the dark energies keeping them together and moving.

The Shepherds all smiled and cheered when the saw Emmeryn, glad to see her safe and well, while the Plegians soldiers who were still conscious, awed at the fact that she was riding a Dragon and using what amounted to holy magic.

As soon as Emmeryn's spell ran its course, she looked down and stared at the Plegians, who were all staring at her, "please, stop the fighting, nothing good would come of this conflict".

The Plegians looked unsure, after all, they had a big purple Dragon in front of them and the Exalt wanting to stop the fighting, the big muscular man sighed and nodded, "everyone! drop your weapons, she's right! no need to die fighting something like that beast there".

The Plegian Soldiers, immediately dropped their weapons and raised their hands, the Shepherds relaxed and put their weapons away, suddenly I felt some weight on my back, which got me to blink, I turn my head towards my back and deadpanned when I saw all of my Pokémon sitting on my back and just chilling there, "... really guys?".

My Pokémon just grinned at me and raised a claw, paw or limb in greeting, "... you lazy little shits...".

My Pokémon just laughed and seemed rather amused by my words, after all, they know I don't really mean it, so I just shook my head and chuckled, I then leaned my head down towards Chrom and Lissa.

Emmeryn quickly jumped off my head and was immediately hugged by Chrom and Lissa, she squeaked in surprise, but quickly smiled and hugged her siblings tightly, "I'm sorry... Chrom, Lissa".

Lissa sobbed and just hugged her tightly, while Chrom shook his head and hugged his sister as tiggt as he coild without hurting her, the muscular guy walked up and spoked up, "Exalt Emmeryn...".

Emmeryn turned her head towards the big muscular man and nodded her head at him, the guy sighed and then spoke up, "you better leave, the King will be sending more troops and more of those creatures after you and your people soon enough".

Emmeryn tilted her head, confused at the fact that this Plegian was helping her, the big guy just chuckled seeing the confusion in her face and said, "don't look so confused Exalt, you words, did not fall on deaf ears.

A lot of Plegians did not want this war, but the King is not kind to those who disobey, we all have families we want to protect".

Emmeryn nodded and understood, Gangrel didn't seem like the kind of guy who would let things lie, but at the very least, it brought some ease in her heart, that some Plegians had heard her words and agreed with her sentiments over war, "will you be okay after we leave?".

The big muscular guy's grinned and then laughed, this went on for a few moments, until he stopped laughing and then said, "you truly are a kind ruler... I honestly envy the Ylisseans, we'll be okay Exalt Emmeryn, but if you would do us a favor?".

Emm immediately nodded, "anything".

The big muscular guy smiled and then said, "end this war quickly, for all of our sakes".

Emmeryn smiled and the said, "of course, we will bring peace to both Plegia and Ylisse".

The big guy nodded and then immediately ordered everyone to pick up and treat the unconscious and injured, meanwhile, Basilio walked away from the group and headed to the end of the ravine.

He looked down and saw a group of carriages, suddenly, a pink haired young woman peeked out from the one of the carriages and noticed Basilio, she immediately waved at him and called him out, "Khan Basilio!".

Basilio grinned and immediately began to jump down the Ravine, he quickly arrived to the carriages and said, "Olivia! I'm sorry we kept you waiting".

Olivia shook her head, but seemed a bit tense still, "when I didn't hear from you, I thought... I assumed the worst".

Basilio sighed but smiled at Olivia and then gave her a headpat, which had Olivia smile but blush a bit in embarrassment, Basilio then turned around a called out to the Shepherds, who were already jumping down the Ravine to catch up to him.

He saw Emmeryn being helped down by Chrom and Robin, as well, though he didn't see Rean nor the twins yet, but pushed that aside when he saw Robin and Chrom walked over to him, he grinned and then said, "Chrom, Robin, meet Olivia , she'll be smuggling us out of here".

Both Chrom and Robin smiled at Olivia, but she shook her head and said, "only if you hurry! doubtless more of the Mad King's men are in their way".

Basilio nodded in agreement, but Emmeryn walked over with Lissa who was hugging her arm and not letting go, the Exalt giggled and then said, "we don't have to worry much about that, after all we have him".

Olivia looked confused, but Emmeryn turned around and pointed towards the top of the Ravine, Olivia looked over towards where Emmeryn was pointing at, only to gape when a massive purple Dragon appeared and walked over to the group on all four.

Poor Olivia squeaked and then fainted right there and then, I saw that so I paused mid step while sweatdropping at the scene before me, "err... I'm sorry?".

Basilio sighed and shook his head, he quickly picked up the unconscious Olivia, while ignoring, Lissa and Emmeryn giggling, Robin scratched his head and chuckled before saying to Chrom, "your sister is evil, Chrom".

Chrom sweatdropped but nodded, that was a mean prank for sure and poor Rean seemed to be so confused as well, Basilio put Olivia inside one of the carriages and then called out to everyone, "right, pile in you lot! and bid farewell to this Plegian hellhole!".

Everyone jumped into the carriages, except Rean, the twins and Pokémon, Rean decided to walk besides the carriages, while Tione and Tiona were riding on his head and the Pokémon on his back.

Basilio soon had the carriages take off back towards Regna Ferox, with the massive purple Dragon that is Rean, following on all fours and keeping an eye open for any surprises.

It didn't take long to go back to Regna Ferox and too safety, especially because, no one wanted to mess with the big ass Dragon strolling besides the Shepherds, but as soon as we got back to Ferox, Robin, Emmeryn, Lissa, Chrom, Frederick and I got together for a meeting.

Robin sighed and rubbed his head, while looking a bit haggard and tired from everything that went on, during Emmeryn's rescue mission, "that was a close one... a lot of unexpected things happened and we kept getting caught by surprise as well, that was very annoying".

Lissa, who just refused to leave Emmeryn's side nodded, "I was scared... it was like no matter how much we fought and ran towards Emmeryn, we just couldn't reach her..."

Emmeryn hugged Lissa and softly rubbed her back, "it's okay, Lissa, I'm here and safe, we're all here and safe".

Frederick sighed and shook his head, "but we kinda cut it too close... we only came ahead because of Rean and the Pokémon, otherwise, we would have lost".

Yeah... but that wouldn't have happened if I wasn't in this world either, I have to be more careful and make sure to keep an eye on everything, I can't let Grima catch me by surprise like this again, Flavia sighed and sat on the steps in front of her throne, "so what now, oaf?".

Basilio, who was standing besides her, shrugged, "don't look at me- I'm not in charge!".

Flavia snorted at Basilio, "I regret having regained the full throne now... this is a lot of work".

Robin, chuckled a bit at Flavia's and Basilio's conversation, he then turned his head towards Chrom, "it didn't go as smooth as we planned, but at least Emmeryn is safe and we're all okay".

Chrom nodded, "we all did our best, we just didn't expect the Risen to power up like they did and for one to turn into a full on Dragon, how did that even happened?".

Everyone looked down trying to think of an answer to that question, even I'm not sure how Grima pulled this off, after all, I didn't even know how it did that to begin with, Robin suddenly sighed and rubbed his brow, "how do we even prepare for something like that?".

Chrom smiled and then patted Robin's back, causing the Grandmaster to grunt, "we'll think of something, maybe Rean has an idea already about how to be prepared for situations like these!".

I grinned and nodded, "I do actually, but you guys are going to hate it... a lot".

Both Robin and Chrom gulped, they both knew that Rean is a hardass when it comes to training, so they are not looking forward to whatever Rean has in mind to train them to fight Dragons and Dragonoid Risen.

However, I suddenly frowned and turned my head towards Emmeryn, the Exalt immediately jumped up a bit and began to look.a bit worried, while Lissa quickly slid away from her sister for the first time since she had been back, "but before we get started with that, someone needs punishment for pulling a very dangerous stunt...".

Emmeryn gulped and looked at Chrom and Lissa for some help, but both immediately turned their heads away and nervously laughed, Emmeryn gaped at the betrayal, but then turned her head towards Flavia and Basilio.

But both Khans sweatdropped and quickly began to talk to each other, while pretending that they weren't listening right now, Emmeryn began to nervously sweat, so she turned her head towards Frederick, surely, he would come to his Exalt's rescue? right?".

But Frederick just sweetly smiled at Emmeryn, a smile that didn't reach his eyes, that told the Exalt, that her Loyal Knight wasn't coming to her rescue, so she resorted to her last hope, Robin.

The Grandmaster sweatdropped when she saw Emmeryn's expectant eyes, he turned his gaze towards Rean and gulped when he saw a dark aura swirling around him, Robin took a step back and shook his head at Emmeryn.

Emmeryn looked up and sighed in acceptance, looks like she was going to have to weather, Rean's ire.

A few minutes later.

Emmeryn stood up, teary eyed, while holding two big buckets full of water, obviously Enchanted to increase their weight as soon as she got used to the it and to prevent th ater from spilling, everyone felt bad for her, but didn't say anything, because if they did, Rean would give them the same punishment.

And that was not something anyone wanted to go through, so they pretended they didn't see Emmeryn's suffering, Robin sighed and then said, "well, since Rean knows what to do to prepare us, to fight enemies like that Shadow Dragon and the Dragonic Risen, then we have to decided what to do next".

Chrom nodded, "yes... we witnessed today, that Emmeryn's words reached some of the Plegians, that gives me hope that not all Plegians want to kill us and destroy Ylisse... but I'm not Emmeryn, I can't do the things she does".

Robin shook his head, "that's okay Chrom, you don't have to become Emmeryn, you know? you can still be yourself, I'll be there to help you, to pick you up when you fall, all of us will, you just have to give people hope in whatever way you can".

Emmeryn grunted from the weight of the water buckets she was lifting, but still spoke, "Robin is right Chrom, today showed me, that Ylisse no longer needs an Exalt like me, what we need is someone like you.

An Exalt who can pick up arms and protect his people, I'm not a fighter, I can use Magic and heal, but I can't give the security and peace Ylisse and Plegia needs, that's why, I decided to step down as Exalt and give the crown to you".

Everyone widen their eyes in shock, especially Chrom, who shook his head and said, "what!? but Emm! what if I can't? what if I'm not worthy of your ideals?! what if a drag everyone down with me?".

Emmeryn smiled at her brother, though it was a bit strained because she was really struggling with the buckets, but before she could say anything, Robin spoke up, "if you aren't worthy, you'll keep at it until you are and if we all fall down, well, that's what friends are for, isn't it?".

Everyone nodded in agreement, even Emmeryn, who was trembling with the buckets, suddenly, the Shepherds all stepped into the Throne room, all happy and ready to help in anyway they can, Nowi was the first one to say something, "that's right! I wouldn't even be here if not for you guys!".

Lon'qu huffed but then grinned and said, "we're you unworthy, I would have left you long ago".

Virion dramatically swept his hair back and then said, "it took great courage and charisma to unite all of us... I knew I possessed such talents but clearly you do as well!".

Ricken nervously laughed at Virion's words, but soon smiled and said "yeah, we all look up to you! your like a hero to us".

Chrom, stared at the Shepherds, our friends and then softly smiled, "... thank you, everyone, your words mean more than you could know, my Shepherds... my warriors... there is work to be done, Gangrel must be stopped so that peace can once again reign in Ylisse, will you help me?".

Lissa smiled and cheered, "you can count me in! no more tears! it's time to start punching stuff!".

Maribelle nodded and smiled at Lissa's words, "hear, hear, darling! our people have suffered enough".

Stahl smiled and stepped forward, "gladly would I fight and die for house Ylisse!".

Sully grinned and then pointed a thumb to her chest, "gladly would I fight and kill! those dastards for house Ylisse!".

Libra software smiled and nodded, "our hearts echo yours, sire".

Sumia smiled and walked up to her fiancé, she gently grabbed his hand and then said, "I will be the unbreakable shield by your side!".

Suddenly, some yelled from behind me, "I'm with you too!".

"Ahh! holy shit! Kellam! what are you doing standing behind me!?".

Kellam smiled and just said, "I've been here the whole time...".

I sweatdropped and stared at him, feeling a little bad that I didn't noticed him until he spoke up, but damn, he almost gave me a heart attack! again...

Vaike stepped forwards and punch the air in front of him, "Teach is here and class in in session!".

Gregor shrugged and then said, "your already paying Gregor, so Gregor will follow and help!... why everyone look at Gregor like that? Gregor make joke!".

Panne nodded and then grinned, "your sister earned my respect... and so have you and the rest of this group, the last Taguel shall be yours and her Champion".

Gaius bit through the lollipop he was sucking on and smiled, "you gave me a second chance, well, more like Celebi dragged me to a second chance, but I'm thankful nonetheless, I'm on your side prince".

Miriel pushed her glassed up and nodded at Chrom, "I will follow, as always".

Frederick sighed and then looked up at Chrom, "you have grown strong Milord, I might have set a poor example as a knight before... letting the Exalt get kidnapped and being caught by surprise... but I swear to you, I shall die before more exalted blood is spilled!".

Donnel nodded and then lifted his pot off his head, "you thought me to be strong and to follow my heart, I'll will always follow you and help with anything I can!".

I walked up to Chrom's side and clapped his shoulder, "you can count on me and my Pokémon to help, as your allies and friends, Chrom, you will never face this alone".

Tione and Tiona walked over and nodded to Chrom, Tiona grinned and the said, "me and Tione consider you a leader worthy of following Chrom, much better than some of the ones we met before, so be more confident".

Tione agreed with her sister and then said, "do not doubt yourself, together we can accomplish anything, all we need is the will to do so and we have that aplenty".

Chrom smiled and nodded at everyone, a happy and soft smile that made everyone feel proud, "thank you all, truly, you honor me with your fealty, I will not falter again, we shall answer this outrage! the Mad king must be stopped!".

Flavia laughed and nodded in agreement with Chrom, "right! it's time for ol' Gangrel to get a dose of his own Vulnerary! the whole of the Feroxi army is yours to send crashing against him!".

Basilio grinned and agreed with Flavia's statement, "Har! you young folk- your passions run so hot! if I had any gray hair, you would've singed em right off, in other words, count me in!".

Olivia shyly stopped forwards and nervously raised her hand, "I'd like to go, too, if I may, the Exalt did me a kindness once".

Chrom raised and eyebrow and said, "really?".

Olivia nodded, both her and Chrom turned their heads towards Emmeryn, but the poor woman was too busy still struggling with the water buckets, Chrom sweatdropped a bit, while Olivia smiled and said, "y-yes, it would honor me to have a part in helping you and her! although all I can do is dance... and I'm not so skilled at that, if we're being honest...".

Chrom deadpanned at Olivia, because she started so strong, but began to lose confidence all the way through, which is kinda of funny, Basilio suddenly laughed, "har har! she's too modest! Olivia is a Feroxi treasure!.

You won't meet a finer dancer in all the realms! her moves inspire soldiers to work twice as hard! you'd do well to bring her along, Commander".

That's true, Olivia's dances can boost a whole group's physical performance and there's a whole bunch of dance like Pokémon moves she can learn that will make her much a much more powerful unit, plus, she's also a great sword wielder as well.

Chrom looked surprised at Basilio's way of calling him now, " 'Commander'? what happened to 'boy'?".

Basilio smiled and then said, "you've earned your way up from that name, I think, now where we're we? ooh yes! I was about to start cracking skulls! Flavia will lead me and the other Feroxi in a head on assault, that should buy you enough time to take down Gangrel, hear that, boy? you get the fun part!".

Chrom sighed and shook his head, "I thought you weren't going to call me-".

But Basilio cut him off mid sentence, "you, Rean and Robin have my every confidence, you're a born leader, Robin has a knack for guiding troops to victory and Rean? well, he's a godsdamn Dragon! you three both have some growing to do yet, but I can already see you'll grow tall".

Robin, Chrom and I chuckled at Basilio's words, I for one agree with him, I might be a powerful Dragon God, but there's still things I need to learn and experience, it really has not been that long since I was reincarnated and became who I am today, between world jumps, time dilations and my time back home, it's only been a few years.

I still have much to do, learn and grow, Chrom smiled and then nodded to Basilio, "thanks Basilio".

Basilio grinned but he then huffed and tried to look all cool and smooth, "all right, enough talk, it's time to raise some hell!".

I walked forward and then stopped Basilio from getting ahead of himself, "alright! now that Emmeryn is safe here with us, we need to prepare, we were caught off guard a plenty in Plegia's capital, especially by the Risen, they're sudden transformation and that Shadow Dragon as well.

Like I mentioned to Robin and Chrom, you guys aren't ready to fight enemies on that level, so, we're all going to increase our training and I will be making sure all of you reached a level of power that will allowsyou to deal with something like that Shadow Dragon with ease!".

The Shepherds looked a bit nervous but willing to get stronger, it's going to be hard and very dangerous as well, but, I have to make sure all of these guys survive the war and what's to come later, after all, there's a lot to do still in this world.

Chrom nodded and then spoke to everyone, "Rean is right, we have to prepare and when we're done, it will be time to dethrone the Mad King, once and for all!".

The Shepherds cheered and raised their fist into the air I grinned and then nodded at everyone, "alright! then were leaving for my Pokéhome now! well rest for the rest of day, but the next morning we're starting with the training! so get ready!".

The Shepherds nodded letting me know that they were ready, so I snapped my fingers and then left the outside world and arrived inside my Pokéhome.

As soon as everyone arrived into my Pokéhome, they all walked to relax their own way, after all, we just came out of two big battles, and most of the time everyone was stressed and worried as hell for Emmeryn, so the Shepherds were all very tired and burned out.

Though, I made sure Emmeryn was still carrying the buckets of water, she's still needs to pay for that stunt she did, who the hell jumps down a high place like that? sheesh, she so reckless, I swear.

Suddenly I felt a gaze on my back, a very intense one too, so I quickly summoned Excalibur into my hand and jumped back, I was about to swing Excalibur, but stopped myself when I noticed someone staring at me from behind a tree.

Suddenly, Umbreon walked out from the shadows of the tree and approached me while yawning and looking both tired and annoyed, I'm not surprised though, he is a nocturnal Pokémon, but he still helped us a lot, so despite being a Mr Grumpy, he was still willing to help.

Umbreon stopped on front of me, sat on his haunches and then snarled and barked, "... you brought someone who might be useful? from where and who did you bring Umbreon?".

Umbreon barked a few more times and then turned his head towards the girl staring at me, "a creepy looking Dark Mage woman?...".

Now, why does that sound familiar, I looked over to the girl staring at me, she suddenly stepped out from behind the tree and walked over to me and Umbreon while grinning in a very disturbing way.

She quickly reached us and then stopped in front of me, that's when I recognized this girl, *fuck! that's Tharja! and I completely forgot about her! holy shit! we could have killed her by accident! thank Astraea that Umbreon didn't ripped her throat out and brought it her here*.

[Wow! Umbreon comes in for the safe! that was a close one huh? I'm surprised she actually caught Umbreon's attention, enough for him not kill her anyways.]

*She was lucky, Dark Type Pokémon are merciless with their enemies, Master, you really should reward Umbreon for this*.

Yeah, both Astraea and Excalibur are right, Umbreon did me a solid here, if Tharja had died, who knows what could have happened to this timeline and to her daughter, I could only sighed in annoyance from all of these time travel shenanigans.

This sort of stuff is going to give me a headache, can I even get headaches? man I don't even know, but yeah, Umbreon deserves extra treats for this, Tharja tilted her head and then began to speak, "so this is how you look like in human form... how interesting".

I looked over to Umbreon, who shrugged and barked something out, "... you want her to help us? because she seems perfect to start a cult?... that doesn't make any sense Umbreon".

Umbreon just layed on the ground and went to sleep, looks like I'm not getting an explanation, with a sigh I picked up Umbreon from the ground and put him around my neck, Tharja actually giggled, though it kinda sounded dry, "so you can understand this creature of Darkness, and it even let's you touch it, that's impressive".

I raised an eyebrow at Tharja, but it seems like she's curious about Umbreon, but thinking a bit more about it, it sort of makes sense, Dark Mages are all about curses and dark magic, so a Dark Type Pokémon must be incredibly interesting to them.

That goes double for someone like Tharja, "yes, I can understand all of my Pokémon, but who are you? and how did you you even get here?".

Yeah, now that I think about it, how did Tharja even get to Regna Ferox? how is she in my Pokéhome? Tharja gave me another one of her creepy smiles and then explained, "my name is Tharja, a Dark Mage from Plegia.

I was there during the Exalt's Execution or rather failed execution, but I really wasn't interested in it, nor about the King's orders, after all, I watched as your... Pokemon?" I nodded at her to let her know, that yes, that's what they are call.

She quickly nodded and went on, "right Pokémon, well they were slaughtering my fellow soldiers with ease, so I wasn't really entused to join in and get killed, that's when Umbreon, as you call him, appeared.

In all honesty, I thought he was going to kill me like all the others but, he instead took me around as he killed all the other Plegian Soldiers, I then saw you, in your Dragon Form and well... I became ever so curious about you, very curious".

I stared at Tharja in silence for a few seconds, until what she said registered in my mind, "... fuck".

After meeting Tharja and finding out that I now have a Dark Mage stalker, I decided to just introduce her to everyone in the Shepherds, honestly, everyone was surprised by her, after all, no one expected a Dark Mage from Plegia to defect and now fight with the Shepherds.

But, Chrom is not one to discriminate, so Tharja was accepted right away, though she was quite wary of everyone except for me and the Pokémon, though Flavia and Basilio did raised a few good questions.

How the hell did Tharja even get this close to us? a question I asked her about, but with her little confession I completely forgot about it, well, according to her, she just walked up to the group and followed us all the way to the carriages and just jumped inside.

These news made everyone sweatdropped, because no one noticed her jumping into the carriages and traveling with us all the way back to Regna Ferox, then again, everyone was in a hurry and very tired, so maybe all of them had a reason not to noticed her.

As for how she ended up in My Pokehome, turns out My Pokéhome can bring people in here, something I didn't know about until now, in hindsight, I should have expected this sort of thing really, but oh well.

I actually introduced Robin to Tharja as well, hoping that she would get interested in him, like in the game, but no dice, she seemed totally fixated on me for the time being, either way, she did back off a bit, when she met Tione and Tiona.

Appearantly, she had seen them tear through enemies during battle, so she had a very healthy respect and fear of them, Tiona and Tione were of course, more amused than anything, about the fact that I now have a stalker.

But either way, the girls took Tharja away from the Pokémon Center to get to know her, having learned their lesson with Nowi, they were just going to show her around and go to the places she gets interested in, that way they can get to know her and see the sort of things she likes to do.

Libra, being the new guy of the group was invited to hang out with the guys, though all we do is just hang out in the lobby, be loud and joke around, that's how everyone spent the day after the battle to save Emmeryn in my Pokéhome.

A little bit of relaxation and rest, for tomorrow and onwards, we're going to be training hard and getting stronger, to get ready for the battles to come.
