CH 9
The next day Kate was walking along the wharf where the navy boats are she saw few people together looking out at sea so when she was close she stop to see what they were looking at. It was a patrol boat returning so she stayed and watch it comes in. When it was close Kate recognised it icon it is the HMAS Albany.
When the ship dock Kate and the others crew members families waited till the crew started walking off the ship. Kate stayed at the back. She smile when she saw mike walk off the ship carrying his duffel bag and brief case. The captain was walking behind mike till they were on the wharf.
A women step ford into the captain arms giving him a hug and kiss then she gave mike a quick hug as they talk then Kate notice a women stepping forward to give mike a hug and a kiss but he turn his head so she got his check. Kate notice the shock disappointment look on his face.
The captain and the women step away giving mike and the women some private. Mike look around after giving Claire a hug when he saw who step forward
"Maxine" Mike said in shock
"Hello mike" she said as she went to give him a hug and kiss. He knew what she was going to do so he turn his head so she kiss his check
"What are you doing here, where Stewart, Ryan and Patrick"
"I'm here to see you... Stewart and I are separated he got the boys while I'm here"
"I'm sorry to hear that, but why are you here"
"to see you Mike, we haven't seen each other in three years since that night"
"Yes well I'm not happy about that, Maxine you are a friend and that all, if you will excuse me I got a meeting to go to" Mike walk away then shop when Maxine said
"mike I'll come by later" He turn to her
"no Maxine don't come by to see me" then he turn and walk over to where the captain is waiting for him.
They got into the back seat after mike gave the driver his sea bag and brief case. "Mike are you ok"
"Yeah I will be"
"do you know who that women is"
"yeah and old friend, I don't want to talk about it" mike said in not happy tone
then there was a knock on the window he turn his head to see who it was. He was shock to see who there, so he open the door and got out "Kate"
"surprise" they hug and kiss
"what are you doing here" Mike said smiling
"to greet you"
"I'm happy your here Kate"
"Same here are you off to your briefing"
"Yeah, I'll meet you at home"
"Sure, we got some talking to do" Mike was getting worried
"don't worry, it nothing bad" mike smile then kiss Kate once more
"ok see you at home" then he got in the car.
Kate bend over "hi sir it good to see you again"
"your to midshipmen and congratulations on your engagement to mike here"
"thank you sir" Kate close the door then wave to mike which he did in return when the driver drove away.
Mike turn to Steve while smiling "i saw her when we were walking onto the wharf"
"what" mike said in shock
"She did look surprise when that other women showed up to great you. Dose midshipmen McGregor know her"
"no Kate doesn't know who Maxine is"
Mike look out the car window lost in thought. Steve watch mike for a few seconds then he turn to look out his window till the car stop out side the navy base building.
Kate watch the car drove away so she turn and walk towards the the exit while getting her phone out to call for a taxi to take her back to mike place.
When mike arrived home Kate was there to great him "Kate"
"Mike" they hug each other for a minute and they kiss
"Every thing alright" Kate asked
"We need to talk"
"i know we do, why don't you go and get change I'll make us a brew"
"sounds good to me" Mike walk down to his bedroom while Kate went to make the drinks.
When Mike return he saw Kate in the living room with two coffees on the table so he walk over and sat down. He held onto Kate hand while looking at her.
"Steve told me he saw you on the wharf when a women showed up to great me"
"Who is she Mike"
"she an old friend, he name is Maxine white, we meet when we were doing ADFA together"
"mike I know about you and Maxine white. Jane told me every thing including how it affected you before I came along" Mike was shock
"Jane told you, when"
"Yesterday after she pick me up from the air port. Maxine white showed up at the door about five minutes after Jane and I arrived. Jane answered the door. Maxine was looking for you. Jane had some words to says to Maxine before slamming the door on her face. I heard the whole thing. That is why Jane told me about what happen to you"
"I felt so stupid for what happen, I shouldn't of let it go to far but I was drunk at the time."
"Now she here in Darwin looking for you, dose she know where you live"
"Yes she dose"
"Ok I wounder how she knew when you were going to be in port"
"She would of called since she is a lieutenant"
"True, I hope your happy that I'm here" mike smile
"Very happy did you like my Christmas gift"
"i love it, Jane help spend that voucher you got me" mike grin
"Oh can I see what you brought"
"how about I go and put it on"
"torture Kate" Mike said as Kate stood up and walk towards the bedroom
"It only one of four items I'm leaving here Mike" Kate called out as close the bedroom door.
Mike lean ford to pick up his coffee and took a sip of it while waiting for Kate.
Few minutes later the bedroom door open "Mike you can come in now" Mike put his coffee mug on the table then he stood up and walk into the bedroom to see Kate not there
"Kate" he walk in to the room when he saw the bathroom door open.
Kate walk out wearing a pail blue silk robe. Mike raise his eye brows at her as she step ford slowly undoing the robe and letting it slide to the floor. Mike look at Kate in shock. She was naked
"Kate, wow" Kate step ford warping her arms around his neck giving him a passionate kiss.
When the broke apart "Kate"
"mike make love to me"
"Kate dose this have some thing to do with Maxine"
"no it some thing that Jane said to me yesterday that got me thinking. But I have been thinking about this for weeks"
"you know if you say stop or no, I'll stop"

Kate move her hands down to the buttons on his shirt and started undoing them then mike remove his shirt while kissing Kate. Then he turn Kate around while still kissing her then they slowly move to the edge of the bed where mike lower Kate on to the bed till they broke the kiss.
then he was on top of her then they rolled over till Kate was on top then they sat up just as he kiss her weak spot which makes her giggle every time. Mike slowly did things to Kate that he never done to her before which shock her but she keep remembering what Jane said to her. Mike and Kate did make love for the first time, after wards Mike held in her his arms as she cried.
He was worried that he hurt her. "Kate I'm sorry you should of said stop" Kate look up at mike
"no don't be sorry Mike, what you did to me was amazing"
"so I didn't hurt you"

"then why were you crying"
"I never felt the passion, the love, the things you did to me before, here I thought rape was like love making ruff and hard but it not. Not the way you did it mike. It was...wow amazing, my body never been in shock like that before. The way you had me screaming out your name and every nerve in my body going over drive, it was amazing" mike smile as he lean over to kiss Kate.

"yeah Jane was right about you being so gentle during love making"

Mike cup her face then kiss her as they roll till Kate was on her back and Mike was on top looking down at her
"there are other ways of making passionate love" mike said

"oh yeah" mike said then kiss Kate. They made love once more before falling asleep in each other arms with smiles on there faces.
Couple hours later mike carefully got up and went to his bathroom to use the loo then he went to have a shower while grinning. He heard a noise so he turn around to see the shower door open and Kate walk in closing the door behind her then she step ford to give mike a kiss
"Need you back wash" Kate said
"sure and I'll wash you back"
Kate did wash Mike back and he wash hers while he was washing her back he hands were moving to other parts of Kate body
"mike what are you up to"
"trust me Kate"
"Oh I do Mike" Kate said
Kate let mike show how much he love her, they make love while in the shower till the water starting to go cold so Mike turn the water off while Kate open the door to get two towels, she turn to pass one to mike who was smiling at her.
"Mike why are you smiling"
"Three times in one afternoon" Kate laugh
"Mike"
"how are you feeling"
"Good you"
"Great"
"i don't know about you but I'm hungry"
"same here how about we go out to dinner"
"Sounds good to me" Mike lean ford to kiss Kate before they got out and dry down
"Kate how many robes did you buy?"
"four robes and three silk night gowns"
"any thing else" Kate smile
"no" mike thought about what Kate said then smile him self.
Half an hour later they walk out of his apartment and down to the restaurant where they enjoyed there dinner. After dinner they went for a walk for an hour before returning back to mike apartment for the night.
When they walk in the door Kate walk down to the bedroom while mike went to check to see if there was any messages on his answer phone since he didn't get a change when he got home.
There was number of them so he wrote down who called. When the last message played he walk down to his bedroom turning lights off along the way.
When he walk into the bedroom he saw the covers were pulled back so he took his clothes off
"Kate" then the bathroom door open. Mike turn to see Kate a different robe.
She walk over to him removing the robe revealing a see through barbie doll suite. Mike eye and mouth open in shock he look her over when he notice she wasn't wearing any thing under it.
She walk up to him "like what you see" Kate asked
"Yeah, wow"
He pull the ribbing that was between her breast till the two side came apart then he pull it off her shoulders till it was on the floor then he pick Kate up, she manage to wrap her legs around his waist as he walk back till he hit the bed then he sat down with Kate on his lap
"Kate you so beautiful" Mike said as he cup her face and kiss her then he lean back on the bed still kissing Kate then they rolled till he was on top of Kate.
They made slow passionate love once more before they slowly drift off to sleep in each other arms while smiling.
The next morning Mike and Kate woke up when the phone ring so mike reach over to pick up his cell phone to answer it
"mike Flynn... morning Steve... what for how long... sure, hang on a sec" then he move the phone away
"Crash sail" Kate asked
"yeah a boat got him self in trouble and we the only closes asset"
"I under stand Mike"
"Want to come" Kate sat up a bit
"Are you sure Mike"
"Steve still there... Can Kate come... it would be great experience for her... thanks Steve see you in an hour" then he hung up and put the phone back on his draws then turn to Kate
"He said it fine with him"
"How far away is this boat?"
"two hours away"
"alright I wouldn't mind seeing the mighty mike Flynn in action" Kate said smiling then kissing mike
"i thought you saw me in action yesterday" Kate giggle
"mike you know what I mean"
"Yes I do and when we return lunch"
"sounds good, if we leaving in an hour we better get up" Kate said
"yes we better, it a shame though I did have plans for us this morning"
"there always tomorrow"
"True" they kiss once more before getting up and getting dress.
When they showed up on the wharf they saw most of the crew there. They weren't happy that they were crash sail while they were on shore leave
"Morning sir" the crew greeted mike
"morning I know you don't like being crash sail while on shore leave but that the navy for you"
"that true sir" one of the sailor said
"Sir who your lady friend" one of the members asked
"This is midshipmen Kate McGregor, she my fiancee. She at Canberra at studying at ADFA. Captain gave me permission to bring her with us since we will be some member short"
"It nice to met you ma'am I'm cookie, I'm the chef and medic congratulations on your engagement" the female crew member said as they shook hands
"nice to meet you to cookie and thank you" then some of the others interduce them selves to Kate as they took boxes on board.
Fifteen minutes later Steve showed up "mike, every one here"
"Seven not here two are in Cairns, two in Perth, other two been trying to contact them and last one his wife gone into premature labor" mike said showing Steve clip board with the list of names of the crew who not on board
"Very well...midshipmen McGregor, I'm please your here, I hope you don't mind helping out"
"no sir" Kate said
"alright, mike take her out while I'll get change, here is the file about the boat we been sent out to rescue" Steve past mike a file when they were on the ship.
Mike show Kate to the bridge "I'll be back, in the mean time read this" he past her the file
"thanks" mike then walk around her and climb the step to the top.
Kate sat in the cabin chair and open the file to read about the boat that HMAS Albany been sent out to rescue. Kate was reading the file when she felt the boat move after mike giving out normal orders that a captain normal dose.
When Steve walk onto the bridge he saw Kate reading the file "Midshipmen" Kate turn the quickly got off the seat
"sorry sir, I was reading the file you pass to mike about the boat"
"What do you think of the may day call Midshipmen"
"From what I've read sir. Why wasn't some one up in the wheel house, it states in here that it was on auto pilot before some one should be checking every fifteen minutes just in case they have to change course and with them close to a reef some one should be up in the wheel house at all times"
"your right on what you said, any thing else you want to add" Just then mike walk down and onto the bridge.
"Yes for the size of the pleasure craft there to many people on board and not enough life jackets"
"your right"
Kate pass mike the file she fill mike in about the boat, crew every thing that she read while mike read the file him self. Steve gave out normal orders then they were out to sea, he also listen to mike and Kate talk about the boat in question.
Mike asks Kate questions about what to do with the over loaded boat. Kate thought about it then she gave him her reply on the best course of getting the people onto the patrol boat. Steve watch Kate and mike talk about the boat and the up coming boarding. He could see how well mike and Kate work as a team.
When mike, Kate and Steve where up on top where the look out is which is above the bridge they could see the stranded boat . When they were close Kate quickly bend down
"Hard to port, stop all engines" then she stood up and pick up the mic phone
"Brace, brace, brace" Was heard over the PA system then every one hang on to some thing when there was a sharp turn then the engine stop
"Kate" mike said in shock
"Ghost net Mike" she pointed to the net that floating not far of the starboard of the boat
"Great spotting midshipmen" Steve said
"thank you sir" then Steve went down to the bridge while mike step next to Kate and gave her a kiss
"You did great Kate, if you haven't spotted that ghost net we would have been in trouble"
"thanks mike" Kate said smiling Ten minutes later they heard movement so they went to see what was going on.
They saw the ship diver go into the sea and swim over to the net, he connected a buoy to the net then swam back to the ship then he climb back on board just as the engines started. They headed to the stranded boat. Kate stay on the look out watching what mike dose.
She watch the HRIB headed over to the boat just as Steve walk up on top. Kate listen to Steve and mike talk. Kate lifted her binoculars to see what was going on, on the boat then she lower them
"sir may I make a suggestion" Steve turn to Kate
"Sure"
"Sir to make the trips quicker why not the boarding team use the small boat that the boat trying to hide unless there some thing on board that the boat owner doesn't want the boarding team to know about"
Steve pick up his binoculars to see a large canape on the back of the boat, he saw one flap move up showing part of a dingy. He lower his binocular and pick up the mic to talk to mike.
Kate watch through her's to see what was happening. Mike manage to move the canape back exposing the tinny. Mike was shock with what he saw then he said some thing then two heads appeared they both were naked.
Mike turn around while the two got dress then they got out of the tinny while mike spoke to Steve. Steve turn to see Kate looking shock "midshipmen are you ok"
Kate turn to Steve she remember what mike said to her the day before about Steve "no sir"
"you want to go to mike cabin"
"No sir... sir Mike said to me last night that you know known each other for years"
"Yes we have, why did you asked"
"Sir mike said that I can trust you"
"Yes what is this about"
"the women who was in the tinny... she my mother" Steve look at Kate in shock
"your mother that great isn't is"
"no sir it not... sir what I'm about to share with you is some thing I don't like talking about... it took me ages just to tell mike"
"Was it bad"
"hell, night mare for me"
Then Kate took a deep breath then tells Steve about her up bringing, the rapes and what her own mother put her though not knowing that two crew member who walk onto the bridge heard Kate and Steve talking. They were shock with what they heard. When Kate finish telling Steve tears were falling down her cheeks.
"Midshipmen... Kate what you just told me, I'm shock, if any one did that to my own daughter with what happen to you I would of castrate them" Kate smile a little
"i under stand and thank you for sharing that with me" Steve said as he put one hand on her shoulder for a few seconds then remove it.
They turn to see some men putting the tinny into the sea then mike got one of the boarding team to get in then mike and another crew member help get the women in to the HRIB and the tinny then they headed back to the ship.
Kate watches what was happening. Steve walk down to greet the ones who been rescue on board then the tinny and the HRIB return back to pick up more of the passengers. Kate recognised four of the guests so she keep out of site so they wouldn't see her.
Kate walk down to the bridge "Shiner" he turn to Kate
"Yes ma'am"
"when lieutenant Flynn return let him know I'll be in his cabin"
"Yes ma'am"
"thank you" Kate walk off the bridge and manage to make it to mike cabin with out being spotted by any of the rescue people from the boat.
When the last of the people were on board and the tinny was lifted out of the sea and put on the back of the ship, plus the HRIB was put in place Steve went to greet the last group when the pleasure craft move from where is was and sank.
