CH 11
Five minutes later Ed and mike walk out side talking while having beer bottle in hand. Kate walk over to them. Mike smile gotten even bigger when Kate was close. He wrap his arm around her shoulder.
"Dad, mike I see you both still alive" Ed laugh while mike kiss side of Kate head
"Yes we both are alive. We had a good talk" Mike said
"dad"
"yes Kate we talk and I warn him"
"Dad you will have to get in line"
"Yes I know and I know that mike is a good man and I can see how happy you both are"
"thanks dad"
"Dinner ready come and get it" Paul yelled out
"shall we" mike said
"Why not" Ed said.
They walk over to get a plate each and went to help them selves then they walk over to a table and sat down. Ed watches how mike put potato salad on his plate then Kate while Kate did the same with the pasta salad and lettuce salad while mike put meat on both of there plates before walking over to a table.
Kate sat between mike and her father so she could talk to him during dinner finding out what he been doing in the past few years. Every one enjoyed them selves, Mike sisters telling Ed some funny stories about mike which had every one laughing.
Later that night Ed and Kate left since it was a big day the next day. Ed watch Kate and Mike hug and kiss before she and Ed left in a taxi since they were staying at the same hotel.
Early the next morning there was a knock on Kate door so she got up and went to see who it is.
"Who is it"
"Brides maid" Jane said cheerfully.
Kate unlock the door and open it to see three of her bridges maids walking into the bedroom
"what going on" Kate asked
"you will see go and get dress" Jane said
"Jane"
"Breakfast"
"Oh"
Kate went and got some clothes and walk into the bathroom to get dress while Kayla lay Kate dress on the bed. When Kate walk out few minutes later she put her sandles on and pick up her key card
"Ok lead the way Jane" They walk out of the room closing the door behind them.
Few minutes later they walk into a ball room. Kate stop in shock when she saw a lot of women there.
"what going on here" Kate asked
"Kate it your hen, kitchen tea breakfast all in one, come on" Jane asked
"Who paying for this?"
"You dad did since he found out you haven't had a hen night, come on"
they walk into the room where the women greeted Kate. There was some women there who Kate didn't know but must be on Mike side of the family since there was many at connor birthday party. Kate follow Jane to a bridal table that was set up for Kate and brides maids. They all sat down except for Jane who is matron of honor.
"thank ladies for coming here for Kate hen, kitchen tea breakfast. I hope you all enjoy your selves before we start having breakfast thank you all for the money collection since you not sure what to give to Kate." Jane walk over to a table that was covered in a white cloth, she removed it
"Here is what I got for Kate, you can check it out later and one thing that Kate can open"
she put the cloth on a chair which was next to the table then pick up a box and walk back to the bridal table putting the box on the table in front of Kate. Kate stood up looking at the box then to Jane who was grinning
"open it" Kate look at the box then she remove the lid from the box then she folded the paper back. Kate was shock with what she saw then she look to Jane
"You didn't"
"It for tonight, go on"
Kate pick up two thin straps and lifted it out of the box for all the women to see it was a white see through Barbie doll out fit
"I'm sure most of you brides wore one of these on your wedding night" Jane said making them all laugh.
Kate saw the panties and robe also. So she put the out fit back in it box. "wow thank you for the gifts and as for the barbie doll out fit, it sure will shock mike and it won't last long on me" they all laugh.
"Ok breakfast is ready go and help your selves" Jane said
then she pick up the box and took it over to the table where the gifts are then return just as the women got up and went to help them selves.
"Well Kate what did you think"
"Shock but thank you"
"your welcome come on let's get some thing to eat" They stood up and walk over to where a line was being form.
"Hi Alice"
"Kate" they hug.
"Like your gifts" Alice said
"from what I saw, yes what are the men doing"
"They getting together at the Marriott hotel for buck breakfast like here"
"Who idea was that, Paul?" Alice smile
"Yes and Ed, they organizing that and this since you and mike didn't have time for a buck and hen night"
"Ok well it sure is different"
"True what did you think of the barbie doll out fit that Jane got for you"
"Shock, I know mike will be like when he see me in it" Kate said smiling
"If he any thing like Paul, it will rip it off you" Kate laugh
"no I think he will get over the shock first then remove it from me, after all I might wear it again another time" Kate said smiling.
Once Kate got her breakfast she return back to the table and sat down. She look around the room while drinking her orange juice before eating her breakfast. She talk to her brides maid while eating and drinking.
After breakfast Kate got up and walk over to see what items Jane brought. When she saw the items, Kate knew it what she and mike haven't got in the kitchen.
"Hello Kate"
A women in English accent said. Kate turn to the elderly women and look at her then her eyes widen in shock
"Grand ma"
"you remember me" They both hug as Kate started to cry.
"Yes I remember you and grand dad" when they pulled a part they both got tears in there eyes.
"Ed told me that Paul and Alice contacted him about you and they meet him in person. I said to him to be careful just in case they after money"
"money what money"
"After Claire took you away he look for you every where he even posted a reward of who ever finds you. That was years ago. When Ed meet Paul and Alice he ask them number of questions about you which they answered. They even showed photo of you in your uniform. He knew it was you. Your eyes, your smile, your nose"
"Just like you" Kate said
"Yes. When he told me and Liam the good news we were shock but we did ask Ed for prof, he showed us your photo. That when we knew it was you. We were so happy that you been found Kate. But Ed told us about what happen to you. We were shock and disgusted in what Claire has become and done not only to her self but what happen to you."
"that is some thing I don't want to relive again grand ma"
"no young girl should in the first place"
"I know, where is grand dad?" Kate asked
"He with your father and the other men" Kate smile
"Ok"
"come there some lost family looking forford to meeting you, some of them you might not remember" She loop her arm through Kate then they walk over to a table of women.
"Kate this is your other grand mother Grace O'Neill, Claire mother" the women stood up and hug Kate which she did in return. When they pulled apart Grace look at Kate.
"We are please that you been found Kate, we were told about what Claire done and what happen to you. We are not happy with her, with what she put you through"
"I know grand ma, but that is my past, I'm looking towards the future" Grace smile
"We know about Mike and his family, he a good looking young man"
"I know and I love him so much"
"we know you do, now let me interduce to you some of the family"
"sure"
Grace and Katelyn interduce Kate to her aunties that is at one table then over to another table more aunties and cousins. Kate was shock but happy to meet her lost family. She finds out that she got fifteen aunties and in laws and forty female cousin and cousin in laws. Kate finds out that she for twenty uncles and fifty male cousins whom she going to meet later after the wedding.
When she meet a lot of the female family she finds out how she is related to them. When she finish meeting the last of the family Katelyn and Grace walk back over to there table with Kate behind them.
"Kate" she turn to Jane
"We got to leave in few minutes"
"thanks Jane, I'll be a minute"
"ok, I'll go and let the others know"
"thanks" then Jane turn and walk away.
Kate turn to her two grand mothers. "Kate this is for you" Katelyn said as she pass a box to Kate.
Kate open the box and was shock to see what was in side then she look at her grand mother "Grand mother your pearls"
"Yes they were suppose to go to you on your twenty first birthday. I know it a few months late" Kate smile and gave her a hug
"Thank you grand mother"
"there more Kate these pearls have been in the family for four generations, your the fifth. And when each women got married they wore these pearls on there wedding day, I did, your grand mother did, your great grand mother did. Now it your turn"
"thank you grand mother" she close the box.
"Kate" She turn to her other grand mother to see her passing a box to her
"This been in the family for four generations" Kate open the box to see cream color old fashion horse shoes and ribbon with little pearls attach to it.
"Grand ma" she look up at her
"It your turn now" she said smiling.
Kate hug her "thank you"
"your welcome"
"Kate" she turn to her other grand mother again to see her passing Kate a smaller box
"From your father" Kate put the box she was holding onto the table then she took the box from her grand mother and open it. In side was pearl earring.
"I love them" Kate said smiling
"Now you almost got every thing to wear for today"
"Yes some thing old the necklace, new these earring, borrowed bracelet and blue the garter" Kate said
"good"
"Kate" she turn to Jane
"ok Jane" then she turn to give her grand mothers a hug
"thank you and see you after the wedding"
"We wouldn't miss it Kate" Kate pick boxes up then she said her good byes to some of the others as she follow Jane out of the room.
They return back to the hotel room so Kate could put the boxes away then she grab her head piece and vail then she and Jane left to meet the other brides maids out front in the foilar then they left to go to the spa, hair dressers and where there make up being done.
When they return hours later they all walk into Kate hotel room. The brides maids was carrying there garments bags that got there dresses and shoes in them. When they walk into the room there was a bottle of champagne and strawberry waiting for them.
Jo pour the champagne and Kelly pass them to each of the brides maids after she drop a strawberry in the glass. Once all the women got glass in hand
"a toast to Kate of getting married in couple of hours, we wish you and mike all the best for the future and a lot of kids for mum and dad to spoil" the women laugh.
"no mater where you both are you know you got family to turn to for any thing. To Kate soon to be Mrs Kate Flynn, to Kate"
"to Kate" the others said then they sip there champagne
"thanks all of you for every thing and for being my brides maids"
Then the phone rings so Kate walk over to answer it "Hello" then she smile widen when she heard
"Kate"
"Mike is every thing ok" the women turn to Kate as she sat on the bed looking at them
"Yes every thing fine you can tell my sisters that" Kate knew he would be smiling
"mike said every thing ok"
"then why is he calling you" Kelly asked
"Mike why are you calling me"
"I miss hearing your voice and to tell you that I love you and looking ford to see you in couple of hours" Kate smile
"i love and miss you to Mike"
"Dad and Ed told me about the breakfast surprise this morning"
"How did yours go"
"Good we out on golf course playing golf with all my best men"
"I hate to ask who winning"
"don't know did you know all of your family here"
"Yes I know, but mike who paying for them"
"your dad has and with my parents help since the wedding is here and not in England they did some sneakiness behind out backs"
"I know"
"your father said he got a surprise for you but he giving it later on"
"ok Mike I love to talk to you but I got to get change"
"Ok see you soon, love you"
"love you to Mike see you soon sailor" then they hung up.
Kate turn to her grinning brides maids "What"
"come on lets get change" Jane said
Then the brides maids help each other get change then they help Kate while talking and laughing. When done Kate put on pearl necklace and earrings last. She took a deep breath as she turn to her brides maids who smiling at Kate.
"wow Kate you look beautiful in that dress" Michele said
"thanks" Then there was a knock on the door.
Jane went to see who it is. She open the door slightly then open it right up "Ed come in"
"thanks Jane" Ed walk into the room then Jane close the door.
Ed follow Jane into the bedroom. He stop at the site before him as he took off his hat "Kate you look beautiful"
"thanks dad, I see that the uniform still fits"
"Well I went on a strict diet so I could get into it for today" Ed was wearing his navy uniform even though he retied he wrote to the royal British navy for permission to wear it for Kate wedding. He wrote in detail about where Kate is and that she in the navy and that mike is in the navy and so his was his father. After getting his approval after the chief of the navy did some checking out and gave his approval, he went on the strict diet so he could get back into it for the day.
He step ford then gave her a hug. "I'm really proud of you Kate"
"i know you are dad"
"Kate it time" Jane said.
"shall we" Ed said holding out his elbow
"Yes we shall" Kate said.
Jane and Kayla pick up Kate train while Jo pass Kate her bouquet. Then they all walk out of the room and walk down to the elevators. Few minutes later people in the hotel smile as they watch the bridal party walk to the main foilar and out side to waiting limos.
Kate and Ed got into one while the bride maids got into the other two, then they were on there way to royal botanic gardens where Mike and Kate getting married.
When Mike, his grooms men and family arrived at the gardens, they walk to where the lake is since that is where he and Kate agree on having the wedding. When they arrived they saw chairs set up and while carpet down the middle of the isle. Mike and his parents went to greet some of the guests who are there. Mike was shock to see who was there so he walk over to the guy who saw him walking to wards him.
So the guy stood up as he smile "Grand dad"
"hello there Mike" they both hug
"This is a surprise"
"i wouldn't miss it for any thing, we both know that"
"i know, thank you for coming"
"your welcome. Paul and Alice told me they found Kate father" mike smile
"Yes I know they told me. In fact all of Kate family is here today"
"all of them" Connor raise his eye brows
"Yes that is why the guest list double plus cause of it"
"Dose Kate know that they are here"
"Yes, she saw her father for the first time in twelve years last night"
"That is a long time being apart"
"Yes it is and it a start for them and the family also"
"that is true. You look great in your uniform Mike"
"thanks grand dad"
"go and greet your other guests"
"i will, will you be ok"
"Yes I will" connor sat down as mike turn and walk over to new guests that arrived.
When every one showed up and was seated it was time. Mike and his eight grooms men who also wearing there navy uniforms were up the front with the navy minster when the music started.
Every one turn to see brides maids walking down the isle they were wearing blue off the shoulder sweet heart neckline, with a V center and A line skirt that went to the ground. They carrying tear drop mix white and blue flowers for there bouquet and flower wreath for there head piece. They wearing a single pearl on gold chain given to them by Kate. When they reach the front the music stop then new music started.
Every one stood up and turn to see Ed walking Kate down the isle. Mike was looking strait a head til he saw the minster gave him a small nod and smile. Mike turn around and froze when he saw Kate walking down the isle on her father arm.
Kate was wearing white sweet heat neck line with shoulder straps and V center, which was covered in lace and little pearls that also cover her arms down to her wrists. Her skirt was bigger than A line but smaller than ball gown skirt with lace and pearl edging with a detachable cathedral train that also got lace edging and lace and vail.
She was wearing a flowers and pearls head piece attach to her triple vail since one was covering her face. She was wearing pearl necklace and earrings. Her tear drop bouquet was mix of white flowers like her brides maids but bigger.
When they reach the front. Ed put Kate hand into Mike then he kiss her on the check. Then he gave Mike a nod then he walk to where empty chair is just as the minster said
"you all may be seated" then they all sat down.
Every one smile as they watch mike and Kate exchange wedding vows and rings. At the end of the ceremony and marriage license sign, every one heard
"I'm prod to interduce to you Mr and Mrs Mike and Kate Flynn" then the music started just as every one started clapping and cheering them on.
Mike and Kate walk down the isle first then the brides maids and grooms men. Jane and Jo quickly pick up Kate train and folded it them pass it to her then they got there photos taken at the end of the isle with the grooms men. Then others started walking down the isle and over to Kate and mike where they congratulated them before moving away.
Hour later Mike and Kate were alone for a few minutes. He pulled her into his arms as they look at each other and kiss as Kate wrap her arms around Mike neck
"Kate you look beautiful today"
"you don't look to bad your self"
"How are you feeling Kate"
"Happy, very happy you"
"Very happy it good that both of our families and our friends are here to see us get married"
"same here. I founds out that dad paid for most of the wedding since we only invited three hundred, and well with my family"
"double"
"Yes and it good that our fathers get on well with each other"
"True" They kiss once more then turn to see the photographer taking photos of them with out them knowing about it.
Half an hour later there was number of photos taken of the bridal party and with family while other guests headed back to the Shelton hotel for the reception. Mike and Kate were last to leave since they wanted to have there photos taken at a number of spot around the gardens before leaving in the waiting limo.
When they arrived at the hotel they headed up to the room first so mike could remove Kate train as well been to the bathroom and spend few minutes alone together before leaving to head back down stairs to the ball room only to find out that every one is at one of the hotel bars having drinks and nibbles while waiting for them.
When they walk into the bar they were shock to see every one drinking either champagne or a drink from the bar. When a waitress walk over to them she was holding a serving tray full of champagne glasses. Mike pick two up
"thank you" He said then pass one to Kate
"Kate I think your dad might have some thing to do with this"
"i agree, to us" She raising her glass to Mike he did the same
"to our future" they click glasses together then took a sip of it.
"shall we talk to our guests" Mike asked
"Why not"
