Ch 58 A Healing Potion
"Pignite, use Flamethrower!" Hilda held out her hand toward her Partner.
Pignite held back his head, sparks came out of his snout, "PIGNITE!" The Fire Pig Pokemon released a powerful Flamethrower at Team Plasma's Pokemon.
"WATCH!" A Plasma Grunt's Watchog cried out in pain, getting burned from the Fire/Fighting-type's attack.
The Grunt turns his head around, seeing his Partner hitting the Cave wall. "Watchog, no!" He cried,
Another Grunt took his place, letting his Liepard take the Lookout Pokemon's place. "Liepard, help out by using Shadow Claw!" She ordered her Partner.
"Liepard!" The pure Dark-type Pokemon sprinted across the Cave's floor as her claws took on a shadowy aura. Liepard leaps in the air, ready to attack Hilda's Partner.
Adam held up his hand behind the young trainer. "Leafeon, use Aerial Ace!" The Professor said to his Partner.
The Verdant Pokemon cried out as light blue wings spread from her sides. The Grass-type then speeds up as her Aerial Ace landed a hit on the Cruel Pokemon.
Leafeon landed gracefully behind the Dark-type as she fell to his attack.
Suddenly more Team Plasma Grunts appeared from the shadows of the Cave. With them were more Liepards, Watchogs, Sandiles, and its second Evolution stage, Krokorok.
A bipedal tan Crocodile with black stripes and a black pattern over his eyes.
Adam and Hilda saw the incoming Team Plasma reinforcements heading towards their way. "Professor Ceder, more Grunts are coming this way!" The brunette trainer informed the blue and blonde-haired Professor.
"I know, be ready Hilda." Adam looks at the young trainer beside him.
Hilda nodded, looking at their Pokemon before them. "All right you two, get ready!" The brunette trainer cried out to their Pokemon.
Both Leafeon and Pignite nodded to Hilda, preparing to proceed with what they planned.
One of the Grunts held out his hand toward the two trainers and their Pokemon. "All right, Krokorok use Stomping Tantrum!" The Grunt ordered the Desert Croc Pokemon.
"Krokorok!" The Ground/Dark-type Pokemon stomps his feet, charging at the two Pokemon.
The two Pokemon waited until the Enemy's Pokemon got close enough before their respected trainers shouted, "NOW!"
The two Pokemon jump out of the way when something comes behind Hilda and Adam. "Accelgor, Water Shuriken!" A female voice echoes through the Cave.
Like lighting, a ninja-like Pokemon appeared from the shadows. "Accel…" He raised his nubs, forming a shuriken in one of them. "GOR!" The Bug-type tosses the Water Shuriken at the charging Duel-type.
The Water Shuriken rushes toward Krokorok, dealing significant damage to Krokorok. "KROKOROK!" The Ground/Dark-type cried, landing in front of the Grunt.
"Tch, Krokorok return!" The Grunt calls back his Partner, seeing he can't Battle anymore.
The Shell Out Pokemon landed between Leafeon and Pignite "Accelgor," The Bug-type commented, hearing his trainer joining the other two.
"Sorry we're late, the others didn't have Helena at the other chamber." Professor Juniper approached both Adam and Hilda from behind.
Adam took a deep breath before focusing on the Battle before him. "It's fine, we encountered some Grunts here," The Professor told his Ex-girlfriend, turning back to the Battle before him.
Hilda looks at the Regional Professor, "By the way, is Bianca with you?" She asked the brunette Professor.
Out of nowhere, a silver blur passed through the trainers, crashing into the Pokemon.
Team Plasma's Pokemon with them were taken out in a flash. Floating before the fallen Pokemon was a beetle-like Pokemon in silver armor and two lances as arms.
"Escavalier! W-Wait up, I can't keep up if you dash forward like that!" Bianca came rushing in, unable to control the Bug/Steel-type's action.
"Escava?" Escavalier looks back at his new trainer before huffing then turns back to Team Plasma.
Bianca sighs at how her Escavalier wasn't listening to her. "Come on Escavalier, at least try to listen to me." The blonde trainer begs her newly traded Pokemon.
The Cavalry Pokemon turn away from his new trainer, continuing his attacks. "Escavalier!" The Duel-type uses Fury Cutter on the remaining Pokemon.
"Escavalier doesn't listen to me one bit." Bianca cried as Escavalier went off on his own.
"Ngh, t-they're strong." A Grunt gritted his teeth, calling back his Pokemon.
Another Plasma Grunt received a message from the Xtransceiver in replacement for Rotom Phones. "We have to retreat, Lord Rood has completed his task," She informed her fellow Grunts,
Every Grunt turns their attention to the Female Grunt who gave the order to retreat. They all obliged her order, calling back their Pokemon to them.
Many of the Team Plasma Grunts retreated after calling back their Pokemon. They all retreat to the other side of the Chamber; the Female Grunt who gave the order to retreat. "You're lucky that Lord Rood has ordered us to fall back. If not then more reinforcements will come and take care of you all." She quickly turns around and rushes down the chamber.
Once Team Plasma left, Hilda turns to her friend, seeing she was struggling with her Pokemon. "Bianca, Escavalier won't listen to you if you're not stern enough." The young trainer told her Childhood friend.
Biannca nodded, looking at her brunette friend. "I know, I know, but Escavalier is stubborn that he doesn't even listen to anything I say." She said to her friends. She looks at her Pokemon, floating around the area.
Professor Juniper stood next to the blonde rookie trainer, listening in to their conversation. "Escavalier was stubborn even when he was a Karrablast. It took me at least a few weeks until he trusted me." The brunette woman said to Bianca. "Just be patient with him, that's what I have done with him." She smiles,
"If you say so, Professor." The blonde trainer commented, looking at Escavalier.
"Great work, guys. But it looks like Helena wasn't with them." Hilda informed everyone around her. She looks over to the blue and blonde-haired Professor, a bit worried for him. "Don't worry Professor, we'll find Helena."
Aurea looks at Adam, comforting him. "Hilda's right, Adam. Helena is a smart girl and a capable trainer." The Regional Professor had confidence that the young Researcher could handle herself.
Adam nodded, appreciating everyone comforting him in their situation. "Thank you, everyone," He thanked them for comforting him. He looks forward, ready to continue to search for his Apprentice, "All right, let's go and find Helena."
"Right!" Everyone agrees with the blue and blonde-haired Professor. Even their Pokemon agree with Adam's statement, determined to help wherever they can to find Helena Potter.
Just as the group was about to continue their way further in Chargestone when someone approached them. "If you're worried for Helena, then don't worry. I have taken her somewhere safe." A familiar voice informed the group of the whereabouts of their friend. (Insert N's Encounter Theme (Remastered) | Pokémon Black & White)
Everyone looks forward, seeing N walking towards them with a Joltik on his shoulder.
"N!" Hilda announced, seeing the King of Team Plasma standing before them.
Bianca steps forward, looking at the newcomer. "Were you behind Helena's kidnapping?" She asked the green-haired trainer.
Everyone laid their eyes on the young Leader, waiting for his response to the blonde trainer's question.
N closes his eyes, shaking his head. "Indeed that Ghetsis has taken an interest in Helena. However, I do not wish any harm to befall upon her." The trainer stated, denying what Hilda said. "I won't deny that she intrigued me as well with her ideals, but her kidnapping is not under my orders."
Adam was now concerned for Helena; he wasn't expecting her being an Ability User would gain this much attention. Especially the leaders of an Activist group have developed an interest in his Apprentice. "Are you sure Helena's safe?" He asked,
"Yes, she's with two people I considered as Siblings," N ensures the group that the black-haired girl's safe. He turns around in the direction where he came from. "I came to take you all to her," The green-haired trainer stated, motioning his head to follow him to where Helena was.
"Hold on, N." N turns around, hearing his name being called by the brunette trainer.
Hilda stood in front of everyone, looking at the King of Team Plasma. Her expression was serious, wondering why he was helping them out. "Why are you helping us? Normally you wouldn't go out of your way to do so, N." She stated.
N took a moment to ponder on the question Hilda just asked. He places his hand on his chin, unsure how to even answer that question. "I'm not sure myself, ever since I've met her; I feel like I need to…keep an eye out on her. Like a natural instinct to protect her."
"I'm not sure what that feeling is. Though I am confident to say that I don't want Helena hurt." The green-haired trainer looks over to the group, giving his answer. "I hope that would be a sufficient answer for you all," N asked the group.
The brunette trainer knew this guy for a while. She knew N wasn't a liar or a scammer, it's not a part of his nature to trick people.
Hilda looks at everyone, seeing they're a bit skeptical of N's answer. However, they don't have any leads on her whereabouts. "All right, we believe you." She answers on the behalf of everyone.
Adam steps forward with Leafeon by his side, "Please, take us to her. As her Guardian and my Apprentice, it's my responsibility to see her safety." He stated,
N nodded; he turned back around to the exit. "This way, they're at a cottage on the outskirts of Floccesy Town."
The group followed the King of Team Plasma through the Caves, hoping to be led to their missing friend.
Outskirts of Floccesy Town
Outside of Floccesy Town was a small cottage, which only a few people have knowledge of it. Inside the cottage, Helena sat down in the living room with her Pokemon gathered around them.
Helena smiles at her Pokemon making themselves right at home for the time being. They were interacting with the Pokemon who were staying in the room.
"Kirlia?" Helena turns to her Partner, seeing that she was looking at her.
"Kirlia, what is it?" Helena asked, looking down at her Partner.
The Duel-type points over to an injured pink small deer-like Pokemon, watching them from the corner. Helena gave a warm smile at the Pokemon, greeting him as any other person does. "Hello there-"
"Deer," The Deerling quickly ran to the other room, avoiding Helena and the others.
Helena just blink at the Normal/Grass-type Pokemon running away. "Oh, I guess he's a shy one." She commented,
Kirlia nodded before turning around as a pink-haired girl entered the room. "Deerling was found abandoned near Route Nineteen because some trainer didn't like how he was weak." Anthea places a tray with a tea set.
Anthea poured some tea for Helena and placed some food for her Pokemon. "Here, some tea while you wait for your friends to come." The pink-haired girl said,
Helena smiles, taking the tea from her hands. "Thank you, Anthea." She drank the tea, finding it delicious. "Wow, this tea is amazing. What did you do to make this?"
"It's an herbal tea made from the healing properties of Berries and Revival Herbs," Anthea informed the black-haired trainer, "It's very potent when a Pokemon or a person is low on energy."
"I see, I've never heard of it before." Helena looks at the tea, feeling energized after a few sips. "I already feel like my energy is restored." She smiles brightly.
Anthea nodded, "Yes, I do take my tea-making seriously. This helps the recovering Pokemon quickly." The pink-haired girl stated in a serious tone. "Both my Sister and I are Ability Users; we heal the Pokemon who are hurt here by people who harm them."
"That's why Pokemon and people should live separately," Anthea stated,
Helena saw the frustrated expression on the pink-haired girl's face. An expression shared with N; she then looks at her tea, rubbing the rim with her thumb. "I understand your views, but I think the good outweighs the bad, Anthea."
The pink-haired girl looks at Helena, raising her brow at her. "What do you mean?" She asked,
"True, some People can be unpredictable and mistreat Pokemon. But there are many who want to help Pokemon." Helena said with a smile, "I've seen People who care for Pokemon like they are Family members; you just need to be open to the good in the World."
Anthea blinks, not expecting to hear that from Helena. "Curious, what makes you believe that People and Pokemon should stay together?" She asked,
Helena smiles, feeling Kirlia tugging on her dress. She picks her up, placing Kirlia on her lap. "In my travels, I've seen many places where both Pokemon and People are living happily." She smiles, petting Kirlia's head. "My old home wasn't lively and rarely have the joy I see here."
Anthea saw that Helena spoke highly of People and Pokemon living together. She was about to speak her mind when someone interrupts her, "Anthea, we got a serious case here." A new voice enters the room.
Both Anthea and Helena turn around to see a blonde female around their age holding an injured Pigeon like-Pokemon. "Concordia, what happened?" The pink-haired girl stood up from her chair and walked over to her Sister.
Helena and the Pokemon looked at the two, seeing the injured Pokemon. "I found this Pidove injured near the edge of the Forest." The blonde girl stated, carefully holding the Flying/Normal-type Pokemon in her arms.
"And she seems to have a fever along with her injury on her wings," Concordia stated, seeing the state the Duel-type is in.
"Pi…dove…" The Tiny Pigeon Pokemon coos softly, not having the strength to cry.
Anthea looks at her Sister with a serious expression on her face. "Let's get this one to the Medical room. I'll start making some Potions for her fever and injury." She stated what she was going to do. "Can you-"
"I'll patch her wing, I know what I need to do, Anthea," Concordia stated as they went to the Medical room.
Helena went and followed the two Sisters to the Medical room, feeling sorry for Pidove. She turns to her Pokemon, not wanting them to disturb the Sisters in their work. "Can you all stay here in the Living room? I don't want you guys to cause trouble for them."
They all comply with Helena's request as they watch their trainer follow their hosts down the hallway.
Helena turns around, entering a Medical room filled with remedies and other medicinal properties for treating Pokemon. "Kirlia…"
"I know Kirlia, this room has everything you need for a small Pokemon Center," Helena commented, walking inside the small Medical room. She turns her head to the blonde girl, treating Pidove on the bed.
Concordia was placing a splint around Pidove's wing and bandaging her leg.
"She seems busy with Pidove's leg," Helena looks over to Anthea, prepping a pot with water for a Potion.
Helena gently places down Kirlia as she walks over to her with her Partner following.
"Anthea, is there anything I can help you with?" Helena asked Anthea to work on a Potion for Pidove.
The pink-haired girl looks behind her, seeing their guest approaching her. "Don't worry, I have this cover. You are our guest, and I can't allow you to do work while staying-"
"Please, I feel sorry for the Pidove being injured like that." Helena sternly said, wanting to help in any way she can.
Anthea looks over to Concordia who merely shrugs, unsure what to do. She then looks back at Helena, seeing that she really wants to help Pidove. "Very well, you can help me prepare the Potion we're going to use on Pidove for her to get better." She allowed the young Researcher in helping them.
Helena smiles, having a fair knowledge of Potion making from both the Trainer School and retaining some knowledge from her time at Hogwarts. "I learn a few things back in my old school on Potion making."
"You do?" Anthea asked, switching on the stove to boil the water.
"Yes, the Potion needs Revival Herbs, Oran Berries, and a few Medicinal Leek," The pink-haired girl told what was needed for Healing Potion for Pidove.
Helena nodded, seeing the cabinet filled with the needed ingredients they need. "Ah, right there." She opens the cabinet door, grabbing the ingredients from inside.
She then carefully placed each ingredient on the counter. "I'll start chopping the Oran Berry and the Medicinal Leek," Helena said, grabbing the cutting board.
Anthea nodded, accepting her help in making the Potion. "All right, the pot is heating. I'll check on Concordia and Pidove. Keep an eye on the pot then add the ingredients after finishing cutting ." The pink-haired girl left the pot in Helena's care,
"Right, you can trust me, Anthea!" Helena looks down at her Partner, watching her intently. She smiles, lifting Kirlia to the counter. "Kirlia, if you would, then can you keep an eye on the stove for me?" She asked,
"Kirlia!" The Emotion Pokemon nodded, agreeing to Helena's request.
Helena smiles, knowing she can trust Kirlia to look after the stove. "I know you I can trust you." She said.
Anthea looks at Helena interacting with Kirlia, something she hasn't seen in person before. "It's strange, Kirlia seems to be enjoying her time helping Helena." The pink-haired girl commented.
Concordia looks at her Sister after bandaging Pidove. "Anthea, why is there a trainer in our cottage?" The blonde girl asked Anthea.
"N has brought her here to rest until he finds her friends," Anthea explains to her Sister. She looks at Helena, placing the ingredients in the pot. "(She's probably the one that Ghetsis has an interest in.)" She whispers.
"(I see, does N intends to give her to Ghetsis?)" Concordia asked her Sister, curious about what their Foster Brother was planning to do with her. "(Is that why he brought her here?)" She asked.
Anthea shrugs, "I'm not too sure, from what I've witnessed, he's not planning to hand her over to-" Suddenly a golden light shines over to where Helena was brewing the Potion.
The two Sisters looks over to where their guest was and quickly rush over to her. "What happened?" Anthea asked, looming over Helena's shoulders.
When they look at the pot, they saw that the Potion was a different color than the regular one. The brew was a golden color than the regular purple coloration. "The Potion, it's a different color than the regular color," Anthea commented, surprised to see a Potion brew in a different shade than the regular ones.
Concordia turns to Helena, curious about what she has done to make this color. "What did you put in the Potion brew to make it that color?" The blonde girl asked their guest.
"Nothing, I was simply adding the ingredients that are needed in the recipe," Helena explains herself what has happened. "I just followed the instructions,"
"Kirlia, Kirlia!" The Duel-type Pokemon defended her Partner on what happened to the brew,
Anthea approached the pot, taking a look at the Potion brew. The golden color of the Potion was something she hadn't seen before. She took a spoon and scooped a small amount of the golden Potion,
She placed the golden elixir in a small bowl, curious why it was this strange coloration. "Strange, I have never seen a Potion color like this before," Anthea commented, examining the Potion. "And yet it has a warming sensation when you look at it…hmm, I wonder…."
Concordia looks over to her Sister, wondering what she was doing. "Sister, what are you-"
"Um, Anthea?" Helena and Concordia watches as Anthea went over to Pidove, kneeling to her.
Both Helena and Concordia watch as the pink-haired girl holds the golden Potion toward the Duel-type. "Pidove, here…this Potion will heal your injuries." Anthea softly said to the Pokemon.
"Anthea, wait you don't know what will happen if-"
"Pi? Pidove." The Tiny Pigeon Pokemon weakly took the golden Potion,
Pidove blinks as a golden aura surrounds the Duel-type Pokemon. Her wounds healed in an instant and her stamina was quickly restored.
The three girls were taken aback by the golden aura that Pidove was surrounded by. "W-What is happening!?" Helena closes her eyes.
"I-Is she Evolving!?" Concordia asked, shutting her eyes from the golden glow.
Soon the glow subsided, allowing everyone to see what had happened. Their eyes opened, seeing Pidove energetic and healed up. "P-Pidove's all healed," Helena said with shock in her voice.
"Not only that but her energy is restored." Anthea looks at the golden Potion in her hands, seeing this is groundbreaking.
Concordia was in awe, never she, Anthea, and N has seen a Pokemon heal fast after the first dose of any kind of Potions. "H-How is that possible?" She turns to Helena, curious about what she has done to make a super-efficient Potion. "W-What did you do to the Potion?"
"I-It must be my Ability," Helena said, looking back at the pot with her Potion brew still inside. "I didn't expect that would affect a Potion like that."
"Whatever the case, you have a special gift." Anthea smiles at Helena, seeing why N and Ghetsis have taken an interest in her. "A gift that is meant to help Pokemon of all kinds," She stated.
"O-Oh, it's nothing. I was just simply following the instructions you gave me." Helena stated, being modest to N's Sisters.
Concordia shook her head, looking into Helena's emerald eyes. "No, if you didn't brew that Potion, then I'm not sure if Pidove can make a proper recovery. You truly are someone special, Helena."
The blonde girl smiles, placing her hand on her chest. "Forgive me for my lack of introduction, I'm Concordia. N and Anthea's Sister, it's nice to meet you, Helena." Concordia introduces herself to the Ability User.
"L-Likewise," Helena nervously smiles at them.
Anthea turns around after checking on Pidove's condition. "Your Potion, I would like to ask you some questions about how you brew it." The pink-haired girl asked, curious about what action did she do to make it potent.
"I would like to find out too," The black-haired girl answers back, "To be frank, I'm not too sure what has happened with the Potion," Helena stated.
"Then we can find out together," Concordia stated as they head to the Living room to talk.
