CH 13
In may when they all got a week leave Kate flew to Darwin since she knew mike would be having shore leave the day after she arrived at his place. She took a taxi to mike place and let her self in. Kate went and sorted out her bag and made the bed while waiting for her take away dinner to arrive since Mike hasn't got much in the apartment.
The next morning Kate went shopping then return back to mike place an hour and half later. After she put the food away she started dusting and vacuuming the house. Once every thing was done she went and had a shower and put a robe on just as she heard front door open.
Kate went to see who it was but she was cautions. When she look at a picture on the wall that gives off a reflection of the person she smile when she saw it was mike. She turn around and walk back into the bedroom and into the bathroom closing the door up partly.
When mike walk into his bedroom putting his sea bag on the chair he frond when he notice the bed was made with different sheets on it then he heard a noise so he quickly turn around and saw who it was
"Kate" Kate smile as she step ford wrapping her arms around his neck kissing him passionate
"Welcome home mike"
"This is a surprise"
"i got week off"
"A week"
"Yes so I miss you" she kiss him again
"i miss you to Kate" then he look down when he notice she was undoing the buttons on his shirt then he look up at her.
"Kate"
"Yes mike you did say in your letter that I'm in trouble" Mike smile
"Yes you are" then he pull the tie on her robes and push it off her shoulder just as she was removing his shirt
"that photo was hot"
"i knew you would love it" Mike turn Kate around and push her onto the bed then he was on top of her
"six weeks of torturer Kate"
"what are you going to do to me"
"punish you for the whole time your here starting with"
then he move to one of her weak spots and kiss it, that made her giggle. Mike slowly torturer Kate while making love to her over and over again till they both fell asleep with Kate snuggling up to his side. Couple hours later they woke up when mike cell phone rang so he reach over to answer it
"mike Flynn, hello"
"hi Mike are you ok, you sounds tired"
"hi Jane yeah I am. What can I do for you"
"i called to see if you want to come around for dinner tonight"
"tonight"
"Yeah, we could have it another time"
"Hang on Jane" then he move the phone away.
And turn to Kate "Want to go to Jane for dinner tonight or stay in"
"Mike who are you talking to. I hope you not cheating on Kate, you know what dad will do to you" Jane said yelling in the phone.
Kate move and took the phone from Mike "Jane you don't have to yell, I could hear you"
"Kate" Jane said in shock
"Yes it me" Mike got up and walk to the bathroom
"what are you doing there"
"Got a week off, like school holidays"
"Oh and reason mike tired..."
"He punish me for three hours"
"Punish you why"
"Remember what I said to you a month ago about the photo and his letter" Kate said smiling
"Ah that photo. No wounder he punish you" Jane said giggling
"Now you know as for dinner can we make it Saturday since mike and I are tired at the moment" Jane laugh
"sure but make sure you not to tired for Saturday"
"We won't"
"ok I'll let you and mike catch up on your rest"
"thanks Jane, bye" then they hung up.
Kate rolled over to mike side of the bed to put the phone back then rolled back to her side when mike walk out of the bathroom and got back into bed.
"What did Jane say" mike asked
"We going around Saturday night and we better not be tired" Mike laugh as he roll on top of Kate
"Well we shall see" then he kiss Kate which became passionate. When they broke apart
"now to carry on with your punishment" mike said as he disappeared under the covers which made Kate laugh.
Mike and Kate spent the whole week doing what couples do. They go to bed early at night and don't get out of bed till after ten where they shower together. They either stayed at home or go into town to shop or see a movie.
On Saturday night they showed up at Brad and Jane place for dinner. "you two look well rested" Jane said giving them a hug
"Thanks we had a nap this after noon" mike said grinning
"Ah ha some nap Mike" Brad said as he and mike hug
"You know what they like Brad" Brad laugh
"Yes I do" they sat around the table talking and laughing about different things while enjoying dinner.
"so mike, Kate when are we going to hear pitter patter of little feet" Jane asked
"We talk about that, we going to wait till I finish at ADFA"
"Why not now, it school" Jane said
"Part of the school is training hard physical training and if I became pregnant I would of fail the training course" Kate said
"so how much longer have you got to go" Brad asked
"This is my second year out of four"
"that long"
"Yes and if all goes well I'll be going to Watson bay navy academy for other training which last a year. That is the best time for mike and me to start a family"
"mike do you agree with Kate" Jane asked
"Yes I do Jane, any way it will give us time to do other things between now and then" Mike said smiling at Kate which she did in return.
Mike and Kate left after elven since Kate leaving the next day to fly back to Canberra. That night Mike and Kate made passionate love before falling asleep in each other arms.
The next day, mike and Kate stayed in bed the whole time till they had to get up and showered together which lasted for over an hour. After they gotten dress, Kate pack her bag then she and mike went into town for a late lunch and headed to the airport where he saw Kate off before returning back home alone.
Over the next seven months have been hard on Mike and Kate. When Mike has so many days shore leave it happens during the week. He and Kate were able to spend two weekends together in those seven months. They know they got family to talk to if need be but they talk to each other when mike on shore leave, he calls Kate and that talk each night till he leaves for his next patrol.
They learn that Jane, Kelly and Kayla are pregnant which mike and Kate are happy for them. When it was awards and prize giving in December. Paul, Alice and Ed was there for the ceremony.
when Kate name was called for number of awards and prizes. she won for the second year midshipmen award. She was awarded the top year two midshipmen in the navy and for top leadership award as well other top awards which made her family happy. When the ceremony was over every one mingled. Paul, Alice and Ed walk towards Kate as she walk towards them. They all hug
"Kate I'm so prod of you"
"thanks dad"
"It a shame that mike not here today Kate" Alice said
"I know"
"but don't worry we record every thing" Paul said showing his video camera
"I know he would love the surprise"
"come on let go out and celebrate" Ed said smiling putting his arm around Kate shoulder as she put her around his waist.
"Dad why do I get the feeling cake and ice cream are involve" they all laugh
"now would I do that"
"Yes dad you would" Kate said smiling.
"you getting to smart for your own good Kate"
"i wounder who I get it from aye dad" Ed laugh
"your right, just like me"
they walk to the accommodation complex where Ed, Alice and Paul waited out side while Kate went and got change then they left to go to a restaurant in town for dinner. When the four of them enjoying dinner Paul told Kate some shocking news.
"Kate remember that old yellow house from next door"
"Yes I remember it. You said that a lot of work need to be done to it cause of the tenants that use be in there party a lot and did a lot of damage before they were evicted, why did you ask"
"There was an arson attack on the house two night ago, the place burn down to the ground" Kate was shock
"Do the police have any idea who did it?"
"It was the owner, he try to clam insurance for the house, he in dept and the insurance money would bail him out"
"His plan didn't work"
"no, he in jail waiting trial"
"Ok it was a lovely old home"
"Yes it was" Alice said.
Kate return back to the academy since there was still few things that need to be done over the next few days before leaving for the Christmas holidays. Kate return back to Paul and Alice place for Christmas and new year.
On Christmas day Kate went for a walk, since she wanted to be alone since it will be her first Christmas away from Mike and her family. When she return back to the house she walk in side and down to the bathroom where she needed to go to the loo.
When finish she walk down to her room and walk in and over to the bed when some one push her onto it, she quickly roll over to see who it was when he was on top of her
"Mike..." that all Kate could say since he kiss her.
She wrap her arms around his neck when the kiss became passionate. When they pulled apart for air he look down her her
"surprise"
"mike what happen why are you here"
"We had to return, Albany in dry dock, the engines blew after we hit a ghost net yesterday. Albany in dry dock for a month"
"a month why that long"
"when the engines blew they caught fire, half of the engines need replacing and so dose the wiring, all of the crew got a whole month off"
"so you here till next year"
"Yes and I got a special gift for you" mike said as he kiss her
"what is it"
"you will find out soon enough, so shall we join the family" Kate smile
"why not"
Mike kiss Kate once more before he got up and help Kate up from the bed then they walk out of the room and down stairs. They walk into the living room to see table and chairs every where they lead from the dinning room
"what the" Kate said then she walk into the dinning room
"surprise" Kate was shock to see her father and grand parents there. They walk over and hug Kate which she did in return.
"this is a surprise" Kate said
"Why not, it was Mike idea, when he wrote to us telling us that he won't be home for Christmas this year and knew you would be sad cause of it" Ed said
"mike can be full of surprises dad"
"that he can be just like his father" Alice said.
"Shall we eat" Paul said
"sure I'm hungry" Kate said making every one laugh.
They all sat down around the tables. Paul said grace then every one started helping them selves to the food. Ed watch Mike and Kate put food on there own plates then the other plate before passing it onto some one else. Every one enjoyed lunch and home made cheese cakes that Alice and Kate made the day before for desert.
After every one enjoyed desert the left overs were put in the fridge and every one talk and laugh for an hour then they walk into the living room where they all sat some where. Kate sat on mike lap as it was kids turn to give out every one presents.
Mike got Kate perfume and voucher from a women shop in Sydney. Kate got mike aftershave and voucher from a sports shop that sells assorts of things including fishing gear. Every one enjoyed there Christmas gifts.
"Can we have every one attention" Paul said. Every one turn to Paul and Alice who was standing up next to him holding his hand.
"As you all know that there was an award from Ed for finding Kate, he offer to give us the reward money. Alice and I turn it down since we are family. Kate now we know where you get your stubbornness and pride from" Paul said making every one laugh.
"Well Ed he was protestant on giving us the money and we keep turning him down. When we told mike he said that if Kate any thing like her father she won't back down and mike is right about that" Paul look at Kate and Mike then to every one in the room.
"so Mike spoke to Kate about the problem but some thing different so Kate ask Mike different questions which mike was able to answer if he couldn't he contacted Alice and me about it. Well Kate you came up with a brilliant idea which will keep Ed and me happy"
"I did" Kate said looking confuse and surprise.
"Yes. Ed and I came to agreement. Ed brought the property next door and we been going over the plans... we getting this house extended so there would be more bedrooms and bathrooms for when grand kids and guests come to visit, new garage and a swimming pool area"
"don't forget barbeque area" Ed said making every one laugh.
"Yes barbeque area. With the cost of it all is way less than the reward money. That way there more room for family to stay and Alice will be able to have the new kitchen she been bugging me about for years" Paul said making every one laugh.
Kate turn to her father "you agree to it dad"
"Yes Kate I did and I did offer him the rest of the reward money Paul told me that family is more important than money"
"it is dad, you taught me that"
"Yes I did Kate"
"Kate a swimming pool" Mike said smiling.
She turn to him "Yes why" Mike lean to whisper in her ear
"Hey no whispering" Jo said then they saw Kate giggle as she slap his arm
"mike behave your self"
"Mike what did you say" Jane asked
"not with little kids around sis" mike said grinning
"Meaning" Alice asked
"later mum" mike said. Every one talk and laugh why kids enjoy playing with there new toys.
When Kate was in the kitchen she was getting Mike a beer and her self glass of wine when Jo walk in with empty bowl in hand "Kate" Kate turn to Jo
"what did mike whisper in your ear before" Kate grin
"skinning dipping naked at night and other actives while in the pool"
"mike said that to you"
"Yep, he said to me just thinking about it turn him on that why I giggle and slap his arm" Jo grin
"that why he couldn't say it cause kids in the room"
"Yep, now you know" Kate said before walking out of the kitchen smiling.
That night it was later by the time Mike and Kate got to bed. "Kate" she look up at him since she was snuggling up to his side.
"I notice Jo was grinning when she return from the kitchen this afternoon, any reason why"
"i told her what you whisper to me"
"Ah"
"Well the rest of the family now knows about it"
"true but it a great idea, especially those hot summer nights"

"you know just thinking about it" Mike hands started to wounder over Kate

"Yes Kate" he started kissing her neck which cause her to giggle. They make love that night before sleeping in each other arms.
The next morning Mike and Kate went into town with Ed and Kate grand parents. They spent the day shopping before returning back to the house with the things they brought.
The next day the families left to return back to there homes. Kate and mike flew to Darwin with Jane and her family. When mike and Kate arrived home. They sorted out there things and went shopping and ordered takeaway dinner since they were planing an early night.
Over the next few days Mike and Kate stayed at home relaxing. They join other navy families at the beach where they celebrate bring the new year in. When they return back home an hour later they made passionate love before falling asleep in each other arms.
Two days later it was there wedding anniversary. When mike woke up he look down at Kate who was still sleeping so he manage to roll her onto her back then he pull the sheet off them then he started kissing her all over. When Kate woke up she frond the smile when she felt what mike was doing to her which made her smile. Mike look up to see Kate awake so he move from where he wasn't till he was on top of her and kiss her
"Happy anniversary Kate"
"Happy anniversary Mike" they kiss again which became passionate.
They spent the morning making love which leave them both smiling after wards.
"Kate I got a surprise for you" mike said
"what is it"
Mike move to Kate side of the bed and open the second draw then he pull some thing out and close the draw then he move back to his spot then he roll them both till Kate was lying on top of him
"sit up Kate" Kate sat up looking at mike then he past her the items. Kate look at them and her eyes widen then she look at mike
"England" mike smile
"liver pool for two weeks"
"your joking, what about our past ports?"
"already up to date, trust me" Kate smile
"i do Mike"
"Our belated honey moon" Mike then sat up
"so do you like it" Kate grin then she wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him
"Yes I love it, hang on" she look at the tickets then to mike
"Mike we got four hours"
"i know, our bags are pack"
"what did you put in mine"
"i know what you are like, you can check" Kate went to move but mike stop her by holding her arms.
"Kate" she look at him. He took the tickets from her hand and put them on the draws then he cup her face
"Plenty of time" then he kiss her and lay down with her on top then he roll them both till he was on top again.
They made love once again before getting up and showering together. After they gotten dress Kate went through her suite case and relies that mike was right. So she repack every thing before they left in a taxi to the airport.
On there way to England, Kate turn to mike "mike" He turn to her
"what wrong Kate"
"dose dad know"
"Yes he dose he help me pick out a hotel for our stay and he said that we are welcome to his home any time" Kate smile
"thanks mike"
"your welcome. He even given me ideas of places to see while we are there"
"Really"
"yes"
"Well mike" she turn in her seat facing him
"It will all depends on when we leave our room" Kate said smiling Mike turn to Kate
"Are you thinking that we spend two weeks in our room"
"yes" Kate said smiling while licking her lips
"Kate you going to be the death of me"
"Oh no you not mike I know that you going to love it" Mike smile
"i always do Kate, especially when you wear those sexy night wear" Kate giggle then lean over and kiss him then she turn back to her seat.
"you two should be a shame of your selves" Kate turn to the elderly women
"Excuse me ma'am" Kate said
"I heard what you talking about, sex"
"well ma'am you use to be married once" Kate said when she saw the women rings
"Yes but you young ones today" she shook her head
"Ma'am, my husband and I are on our belated honeymoon" Kate show the women her left hand.
"belated honeymoon?"
"Yes ma'am we both in the navy we manage to have a few days for our wedding, this is the first time we got more than two weeks off for our honey moon" Mike said
"Oh when did you get married"
"Year ago today" Kate said smiling
"wedding anniversary gift"
"Yes, Mike my husband here can be full of surprises"
"so can you Kate"
"congratulation to you both"
"thank you ma'am" mike and Kate said. Then Kate turn to Mike while trying not to laugh.
Few hours later after changing planes they were on there way to liver pool. When they arrived Kate look around for the first time in over twelve years. She follow mike to get there bags and over to a desk since Mike also book a rental car for the whole time they are staying there.
Mike turn to Kate "Are you ok"
"Yeah I'm fine" Mike lean over and kiss her
"it a lot to take in"
"Yes it is"
They pick up there bags and walk to where the man said where there rental car will be. When they walk out side there was people coming and going till a silver SUV stop in front of them, a guy got out and walk around to them holding clip board
"Mr and Mrs Flynn"
"that us" Mike said handing over the paper work.
The guy look at the paper work and compered it to his record. Then he sign the papers and past it back to Mike with car key "Here you go sir. Maps are in the glove department, enjoy your stay" He past them to mike
"thank you" mike said then the guy walk in side.
Mike and Kate walk to the back where mike unlock and open the back door, he put there bags in the back then close the door. Then he and Kate got in with mike driving. Kate got the map out and turn to mike
"where to"
"Ribbler lane that is where the hotel is" Kate look up the name first then to the map. She saw where they are and where the street is.
"found it"
"Ok tell me which way to go" Mike started the engine after putting his seat belt on, Kate did the same.
"ok" Mike drove out of the air port, Kate told him which way to go till they reach the suites hotel where they were staying for two weeks.
