AN: So I had an idea after watching the Owl House's finale that when Helena returns to Hogwarts, she'll be able to use the Arceus Plates like Luz's Titian form. Still working out the details,
Ch 59 Reunited
Helena looks up at Anthea, serving a fresh cup of tea. "Thank you, Anthea." She pick up her teacup and took a small sip. "Wow, this taste great just like the last one you made," The Ability User commented.
Anthea smiles at the kind compliment the black-haired girl gave. "Thank you, Helena. You're too kind." The pink-haired girl sat down in the chair on the right of the coffee table. "Now that we're settled, what exactly did you do to that Potion to make it that golden color?" She asked.
Concordia nodded, looking at their guest and curious how she could change the Potion's color. "You mentioned that your Ability must've influenced the Potion brew." The blonde asked, "You're an Ability User just like us,"
Helena blinks, looking at two of N's Sisters before smiling at them. She looks down at her tea, stirring it in her hand. "I kinda had a feeling since you two are related to N." She commented.
The young Researcher looks up at the two Sisters, curious about what Abilities they have. "Actually, N is our Foster Brother- we're all Foster Siblings," Anthea explains to Helena,
"Oh, I didn't-"
"It's fine, even though we're Foster Siblings we still see ourselves as Siblings." Concordia further explains to the black-haired girl.
Helena smiles at the nice Sibling relationship the three have with each other. "That's nice to hear," The young Researcher commented.
Concordia had a small smile across her face, hearing the kind words from Helena. "To answer your other question, yes we have Abilities just as N and you." The blonde girl confirms what she assumes. She places her hand on her chest,
"We all share the Ability to understand the voices of Pokemon, however, each one of us is different," Concordia explains to the black-haired girl. "N's Ability to understand Pokemon is far greater than any of us, to the extent that he could speak to them."
Helena nodded, seeing N excel in communication with Pokemon. "My Ability allows me to see a Pokemon's injuries with just one glance," Concordia explains what her Ability is to her. "It helps me to determine what
"And my Ability is creating Potions which is a higher grade than the regular Potions you find in Markets," Helena turns to Anthea, hearing her speak about what her Ability is. "Our Foster Father is an Ability User as well. He gathered all three of us together to help Pokemon."
Helena nodded, listening to Anthea's statement. "Really? What Ability does he have?" She asked them.
Concordia looks at Helena, answering her question. "His Ability is to detect other Ability Users from just meeting them." She explains.
"Wow, your Family is very special if you all consist of Ability Users." The young Researcher commented. "Your Father must be proud of you two if your Abilities are inclined to heal Pokemon. You two must be really talented at healing others," Helena commented,
Anthea looked at Concordia, looking at each other before looking at their guest. "We don't heal People if that's what you're talking about, Helena." The pink-haired girl answers.
Concordia nodded, confirming what her Sister said. "Come to think of it, we never healed someone with our Abilities other than Pokemon." The blonde girl stated,
Helena looked at the two Sisters, seeing that they haven't thought about using their Abilities to help People. "Oh, so you two are fixated on helping Pokemon." She smiles,
"It's not that we're fixated on helping People," Anthea stated, taking her teacup and drinking it.
"It just hasn't crossed our mind that we could use our Abilities to help others." Concordia continued, placing her hand on her chin. She ponders on Helena's idea, finding the concept of them helping others interesting. "Though now you said it, trying out sounds interesting."
Anthea then looks at Helena, now speaking about Abilities. "Since we're talking about Abilities, we still need to talk about the golden Potion you accidentally made, Helena." The pink-haired reminded everyone of the reason why they gathered in the Living room.
Helena agreed, she too was curious how she was able to have a different color than the original Potion color in the Market. "I'm not sure what happened myself. I'm still a bit new when it comes to being an Ability User." The black-haired girl explains.
"That makes sense…" Concordia commented, looking at Helena. "You are beginning to come to know your Abilities, you're not fully in tune with yourself." The young Ability User commented,
"With practice, I'm sure you would master your Abilities just as our Family," Concordia said, believing that she can master her Abilities in time. "For now, keep this golden Potion a secret."
Anthea nodded, "Who knows what sorts of People want to take advantage of your Ability." The pink-haired girl stated, not wanting that for Helena.
"You do have a point," Helena looks down at her tea, finding what Anthea said was true. There will be people who will take advantage of her Ability, she has to be careful about whom she trusts.
Outside of Chargestone Cave, near Floccesy Town
N walks out of the entrance of Chargestone Cave, leading Helena's friends out of the Cave.
Professor Juniper covered her face from the Sun shining brightly. She looks around, recognizing the area, "I know this area, we're in the forest near Floccesy Town. Not many people venture into the forest, so it's not well known." The brunette Professor commented.
"You lived here N?" Hilda asked, looking at the green-haired trainer.
"Not exactly, my Sisters and Ghetsis came across an abandoned cottage in the forest," N said as he continues guiding the group through the forest. "Not many know about our cottage, only a few know of the place which is perfect for healing Pokemon." He explains.
Adam looks at the young trainer as he listened to his Family's background. He found it interesting that the King of Team Plasma was caring for Pokemon instead of kidnapping Pokemon like the Grunts and the Seven Sages. "N, what do you do after the Pokemon are fully healed?" The blue and blonde-haired Professor asked.
"We let them go back wherever they live. Some would stay in the cottage since it's like a safe haven for them from trainers alike." The green-haired trainer informed the Mentor of Helena. He then eyes the Professor, seeing that's not enough to convince him that there was no strings attached. "If you're worried that Team Plasma would use those Pokemon for our goals, you're sadly mistaken. We don't give them to the Grunts, it'll be lying to the Pokemon after we treated them."
Adam was a bit surprised that N wasn't like the rest of Team Plasma. He wasn't planning to give the recovered Pokemon to Team Plasma to use. "You see a bit different from the other members of Team Plasma,"
N crosses his arms, thinking hard about Adam's question. "Pokemon are self-aware just like People, it's only right to treat them as such. The Grunts know this moto I gave them," The green-haired trainer stated, "It's just some…"
"Take it to the extreme," Bianca interjects, knowing what the King means. She held onto her arm, rubbing it nervously from speaking to the King of Team Plasma. "Trust me, I know firsthand how extreme they can be."
N nodded, taking the blonde trainer's words to heart. He turns to face the group, "I will not change my perspective on my beliefs, but I will speak to those members who go to the extreme." He stated to them, not wanting the People of Unova to see Team Plasma like those other Teams in other Regions. "Taking Pokemon by force is not what Team Plasma stands for,"
Hilda could see that N is slowly struggling with Team Plasma, so she decided to leave it and let it course through. 'Maybe N would see that Pokemon and People work better together than separately.' She thought.
Soon the group arrived at a small cottage in the middle of the Forest. N turns around to the group, greeting them to his Family's cottage. "Welcome to my Family's cottage. Helena should be inside with my two Sisters."
N looks at Joltik, still on his shoulders for him to tell both Anthea and Concordia they have arrived. "Joltik, if you would call Anthea and Concordia to bring Helena, I would be grateful."
"Joltik!" The Duel-type responded, happy to be of assistance to his friend. Joltik leaps down from N's shoulder, scampering to the cottage before him.
"This cottage is lovely, N." Professor Juniper commented, seeing the area as the perfect recuperating spot for injured Pokemon. "No wonder not many People know of this place. It's perfect for recovering Pokemon to recover peacefully." She commented.
N looks at the Regional Professor, appreciating her compliment on his Family's cottage. "Much appreciated, Professor Juniper." He responded,
After waiting a few moments, the cottage door opened, revealing Anthea and Concordia leading Helena outside. "Helena!" Everyone exclaims at the sight of Helena, seemingly all right.
Helena smiles at her friends, seeing they were relieved that she was all right. "Hello everyone, I'm glad that you are all safe." She greeted them.
Adam approached his Apprentice, "Are you sure you're okay, Helena? No wound or anything?"
"Yes, I'm just fine, Professor. Nothing to get worried about." Helena smiles at how protective her Mentor was.
Adam sighs, hearing that his Apprentice was all right. "That's a relief. I'm glad that you didn't get hurt by Team Plasma."
Hilda couldn't help but whisper to Bianca's ears, "(Professor Ceder is sure acting like a Dad right about now, right?)" The brunette trainer asked her Childhood friend.
"(I know, Professor Ceder is acting similar to my Dad; overprotective and stuff.)" Bianca whispers back to her brunette friend.
Aurea giggled, overhearing her Students talking about how Fatherly Adam was towards Helena. She then looks at the two, seeing things are almost done with them.
Adam looks over to N and his Sisters, appreciating them looking after his Apprentice. "Thank you for looking after my Apprentice," He thanked the Siblings of Team Plasma. "We were worried for her safety after those three appeared in the Base Camp."
"It was nothing," N responded before continuing. "But next time, be sure to look around your surroundings. You don't know what's lurking in the shadows," The green-haired trainer advises Helena, not wanting her to experience this situation again,
The black-haired trainer smiles at N and his Siblings, "I'll try not to, thank you again for taking care of me." Helena then looks at Anthea and Concordia, "I hope we can talk some more, Anthea and Concordia. I really enjoy our time together."
Anthea nodded, smiling softly at their guest. "As do we, I hope fate would let us meet again." The pink-haired girl said.
"Yes, it was an interesting conversation we had," Concordia commented, hoping to see Helena again.
"We better get going, we better get back to the Base Camp and continue our Research." Professor Juniper said, looking at N and his Sisters, "Thank you for taking care of Helena, again you three."
Once the group started to head back to Chargestone Cave, Concordia approached N wanting to ask her Brother something. "N, are you going to report that Helena was at our cottage to Ghetsis?" The blonde girl asked her Foster Brother.
N's blue eyes shift to Concordia and Anthea, "Don't say a word to our Father," He turns his head back to the direction of Chargestone Cave, "I'll handle Helena on my own terms,"
The two Sisters looked at each other, feeling concerned for both of them.
Back with the Research Group, everyone began to pack their equipment. They already receive valuable data from the incident with Team Plasma kidnapping Helena,
Professor Juniper clasps her hands, satisfied with the end results even if there were outside interference. "Well, even if we have some inconvenience with Team Plasma, we still gain phenomenal data on both Escavalier and Accelgor's Battle stats." She cheerfully said at their accomplished goal.
"Well, that's one way to see that situation, Aurea." Adam looks at his Ex next to him.
"I'm happy to hear that you were able to complete your work, Professor Juniper." Helena was relieved that the Regional Professor was able to finish her work despite Team Plasma.
Hila looks at Helena, curious to see if they did something to her. "Helena, are you okay? Did Team Plasma do anything to you?"
The black-haired girl looks over to Hila, shaking her head in response. "No, they were just asking me questions. I think they were interested in my Abilities as an Ability User." Helena explains to the group.
"I thought so," Adam crosses his arms, his suspicion was correct. Team Plasma was intreated in his Apprentice's Abilities. "From now on Helena, carefully watch your surroundings. Things have become much more serious after what Team Plasma did." He asked his Student.
Helena can only nod to her Mentor's request, "Alright, Professor. I'll keep an eye out."
Bianca smiles, placing her hands behind her. "We will too," She interjects, "Helena is our friend, so protecting her from Team Plasma falls upon us too, Professor." The blonde trainer looks at the Professor, wanting to help in any way possible.
"You can count me in, Binaca and I'm sure Cheren will offer his help with Team Plasma targeting you," Hilda stated, knowing their other friend will get involved with this problem. She approaches Helena, giving her an ensuring smile. "We won't let Team Plasma has their way, Helena. Don't worry,"
Helena looks around her, seeing that everyone was offering their assistance to protect her. "Thank you, everyone. I appreciate it," She stated with a smile, "But I'm not going to be a damsel in distress, I'll do my part to help everyone against Team Plasma."
The brunette Professor smiles at Helena standing tall and not caving in from being a target of an extremist group. "I'm happy that you didn't let this situation get to you, Helena," Professor Juniper said, "Just try to remember to be careful, alright?"
"Yes, Professor,"
Later that night, Adam decided to stay for the night at the Base Camp since it was getting late. Helena sat on a foldable bed in a tent she shares with Binaca. However, the blonde trainer was outside trying to establish a connection with Escavalier and Hilda went off to Mistralton City.
Helena was alone in the tent, her Pokemon safely and asleep in their Pokeball. Having nothing to do, she checks her Rotom Phone and smiles at her contact list.
She taps on the first name she spots, instantly going to the call screen. Helena waited for the person to pick up,
Soon the person Helena was calling picked up, -ZZZ- Hello?-ZZZ- A familiar voice spoke,
"Hello Steven, it's been a while." Helena smiles at the sound of Steven's voice. (Insert Vampire Knight - Yuuki Cross's Theme.)
A sudden thump echoes from the other end of the line. Helena sat up, concerned by the loud thump. "Are you okay Steven? That's a loud sound over there," She asked concernedly.
-ZZZ- Y-Yes, I'm fine Helena, -ZZZ- Steven cleared his throat from the other end. -ZZZ- I-I just didn't expect you would call. -ZZZ-
Helena held her legs in her arms. "I didn't want to be distant from not talking in a while. Besides, it felt like forever since I've spoken to you." She explains her reasons for calling him. "I'm currently camping with some Researchers and Professor Ceder at a base camp in Unova. Things so far have been hectic, but fun."
-ZZZ- I see, well I'm happy to talk now. -ZZZ- Steven answers, happy to be speaking to the black-haired girl. -ZZZ- To be honest here, things have changed since you left a few months ago. -ZZZ-
"Really? What's happening with everyone in Hoenn, Steven?" Helena asked, curious about what her friends were up to.
The Steel-blue haired boy chuckles from the other end. -ZZZ- For starters, Wallace isn't in Hoenn right now. He's currently in Johto competing in the World Pokemon Performance Competition,-ZZZ- Steven explains where the former Champion was. -ZZZ- He was chosen to represent Hoenn after winning three Contests. -ZZZ-
"Really? That's so good to hear," Helena commented, happy that Wallace was succeeding in his passion for Contests. "Maybe I would run into him when I go to Johto."
-ZZZ- Maybe, now…I think you would like to hear that Roxanne became an Assistant Teacher in the School. Brawly was able to defeat at least five Frontier Brains in the Battle Frontier and as for Flannery I heard she return to Lavaridge undergoing training as the next Gym Leader.-ZZZ- Steven informed her of what was going on.
Helena was happy to hear that their friends were working hard on their dreams. "It's so nice everyone is working hard. I have to talk to them when I have time." The black-haired trainer commented.
-ZZZ- What are you currently doing, Ellie? -ZZZ- Steven asked before quickly picking up his last words. -ZZZ- I mean other than researching Pokemon and other things. L-Like what Pokemon did you catch during your trip?-ZZZ- He chuckles,
Helena could see Steven blushing in her mind. In response, she giggled at the Champion's flustered face. "Well, I caught a Galarian Ponyta in the Galar Region and a Petilili." She answers the young Champion's question, "Catching them would help me a lot in my research on Pokemon forms."
Steven nodded from the other end. -ZZZ- I see, I'm glad to hear that you're exploring and learning a lot on your and Professor Ceder's trip. -ZZZ- He stated, -ZZZ- I can't wait to hear some more when you get back, Helena. -ZZZ-
"Same here, oh, how about you Steven?" Helena asked, wanting to know what he was doing since his Champion debut. "Anything interesting?"
-ZZZ- Since you asked, I'm well versed in politics now thanks to Chairwoman Blanche.- ZZZ- Steven answered, -ZZZ- Both me and my Pokemon are training hard to be unbeatable; other than Pokemon League business, I've been diligently collecting and researching rare Stones and Ruins…-ZZZ-
Helena listened as Steven continued telling her what he'd been up to. She smiles at how he is growing as a person. They talked for a while until Helena felt her eyelids getting heavy, and soon she fell asleep with her Rotom Phone next to her. -ZZZ- Then I…Helena? -ZZZ-
Back in Evergrande City, Champion Suite…
"Helena? Ellie?" Steven sat on his couch, hearing the breathing of the Ability User sleeping. He smiles at the sound of her peacefully sleeping. "I guess she went to sleep…well, good night, Ellie."
Steven hung up the call, placing his light blue Rotom Phone on the table. He got up from the couch and headed to his desk. "Helena is studying hard over there in Unova. I bet she's having fun there too." His blue eyes then shift to an invitation on his desk,
He picks it up in his hand, smiling at the letter. "Arceus, I didn't even ask her if she's going to Sinnoh soon…" Steven sighs, placing down the invitation on his desk, and went off to prepare for bed.
