Ch 62 Offer of the King

This was not what N was expecting, he had not accounted that Helena being here. Helena was supposed to study under Professor Ceder and visit Professor Juniper's Laboratory.

This was not how N would want to reveal he was King of Team Plasma to her. He wanted to talk like how they spoke in Lostlorn Forrest and Chargestone Cave, he wanted to know her better before-

'No, this might be the perfect time to talk to her.' N mentally thought, deciding that this moment to ask her. He looks at the black-haired trainer, ready to speak to her.

N looks at Helena, ready to tell her everything though sudden. He can't hold this out forever, "N, what is going on," Helena asked the Boy she thought she knew. "Please tell me that this is a joke,"

"Helena, what you heard is the Truth," N spoke, stepping forward only for her to step back. The green-haired trainer saw this and halted his advancement, "I was going to tell you that I was the King of Team Plasma, but I need to find the right time."

N shook his head, looking at the black-haired girl. "Helena, I'm doing this for the Pokemon being oppressed by the People; for a better future for our friends," He explains, "You share the same Ability, you can understand the voices of Pokemon like me."

"You and my Sisters are the same; gifted with special Abilities to help Pokemon." N continued talking in an attempt for her to join Team Plasma.

The green-haired trainer offered his hand to his friend, "Join me, Helena." He said, wanting the young Researcher a part of his dream of creating a perfect World. "Together we can bring a perfect World for all," N said, offering her a place in his World.

Helena was scared, she thought that N was a trainer who shares the same views as Team Plasma. She had a feeling that N was like some Grunt or an Admin, but for him to be actually the Leader or King of Team Plasma was far off from what she was thinking.

And for him to ask her to join his cause, she thought she knew him. "N…why you didn't tell me you're the Leader of Team Plasma?" Helena asked.

N lowered his hand, looking at Helena. "I was planning to, but I…didn't find the right time to tell you." The green-haired trainer said. He then shook his head, changing the subject. "But that's long past, so…"

N held out his hand once more, offering the choice to Helena once more. "So I ask you again, will you join me, Helena?" He asked, waiting for her answer.

Helena steps back, shaking her head. "I-I can't N, I can't join you. I'm sorry but I can't join you or support your cause." The black-haired Ability User said, stepping back from him. "Pokemon Liberation…I'm not like you N. Your point of view…i-isn't…it's not…it's not my view." She said in a shaky voice.

Hattrem sensed her Partner's uneasiness, "Hatt" She frowns at her shock,

The King of Team Plasma saw the hurt in Helena's eyes, he lowered his hand and stepped back. "I see…" N said, hearing footsteps coming up the stairs.

Soon a familiar face came up to the top, "Helena, are you okay!?" Hilda came rushing in with Emboar following close behind.

N watches as Hilda came over to Helena, comforting her, "Helena, did something happen here?" She turns around, eyes widen from the Legendary Dragon standing behind him. "I-Is that…R-Reshiram…" She gawks at the sight before looking at N.

"N, w-what did you do…" Hilda looks at the green-haired trainer, shocked that he went through with the plan to awaken Reshiram.

"I have awakened the Dragon that will help me and Team Plasma spread the Truth about Pokemon," N said, devoted to continuing the path he was on. However, he's not the one to make things unfair.

N closes his eyes, turning around to Reshiram. "If you are determined to keep this World how it is, then search for the Dragon of Ideals; Zekrom." The green-haired trainer informed the two girls, climbing on the Legendary Pokemon's back. "He will be waiting in the form of the Dark Stone."

The green-haired trainer looks at Helena once more, still shaken by what transpired. His blue eyes shift to Helena, "I wish things went accordingly to my calculations…then we can speak like how used to."

Helena came out of her shock and quickly rushed toward N and the Legendary Dragon of Unova. "N! Wait!" The black-haired Researcher called out to the green-haired trainer.

However, N was already on top of Reshiram, and with a mighty flap of his wings they took off.

"N…" Helena watches as the white Dragon disappears within the horizon.

Footsteps echoed from the stairwell as Cheren, Stoutland, Brycen, and Beartic arrived at the top. "Helena, Hilda, are you two okay?" Cheren asked, seeing the two girls standing in the empty room.

Brycen looks around, seeing things have already been settled and not in the way they hoped. "Cheren," The light blue-haired Gym Leader looks at the young trainer standing behind the girls.

Cheren turns to the Gym Leader, hearing him calling his name. "We have done what we can here, let's go back to Icirrus City for now." He ushers the young trainer to return to the City.

"Brycen's right," Hilda turns to Helena, seeing she's still in shock. "I think Helena needs a breather after what we saw here." She ushers them to return to Town,

"Right, of course, Brycen," Cheren said, reading the atmosphere clearly. "Helena, let's go back,"

Helena nodded, hearing her friends talk about heading back to the City. "Alright, let's go Hattrem." She smiles softly before heading down from Dragonspiral Tower.

Outside of Route Nine

Reshiram landed near the Forest of Route Nine, just outside of Opelucid City.

N gently got off of the Dragon/Fire-type Pokemon, his feet landed on the grass. He walks over to a tree and leans his back on the trunk.

The green-haired trainer let out deep sighs and placed his hand on his head. N's back slid down to the ground. He looks up, finding himself alone in a Forest with his thoughts and the Dragon of Truth beside him.

The image of Helena and how troubled her voice sounds etched in his mind haunts him. He doesn't know why her being distraught made him feel like this,

Reshiram took note of his Chosen trainer's state, he purrs trying to understand why he looks depressed.

N's blue eyes look up at the Legendary Pokemon looming above him. "It's nothing for you to be concerned over, Reshiram." He said to his new friend, "Helena is just…a unique person for Team Plasma's goal of Liberating Pokemon."

The Legendary Dragon wasn't convinced that answer N gave was all that truthful. However he could tell that N wasn't exactly lying to himself,

Reshiram knew this young trainer was conflicted, unsure of which was Truth or False. Seeing that N successfully passes his trial, he decided to help his new trainer to find the Truth he's looking for.

N heard Reshiram's inner voice, hearing that the Vast White Pokemon is offering his power to him. "Thank you, my friend." He smiles at the Legendary Pokemon next to him. "I appreciate your assistance in finding the Truth of the World."

N stood up from the ground, feeling a bit better but still feeling terrible for not telling Helena about the Truth. He shook his head, seeing there was no turning back on the path he was on,

He looks at the Route just outside of the Forest they were in, "We're near Opelucid City, the City where the Final Gym Badge is located." N said, looking at Reshiram standing behind him. "Forgive me, Reshiram, but I need you to be inside the Pokeball for now," N explains, holding out the Pokeball.

"Your presence will cause a commotion with the public if they were to see you." The green-haired trainer explained to the Duel-type Pokemon.

Reshiram nodded, accepting N's small request.

A red beam went to the Legendary Pokemon, calling him inside the Pokeball. Placing Reshiram's Pokeball on his belt, N proceeded to walk out to Route Nine and head towards the City.

Icirrus City

"Astounding, so it was Reshiram that resides in Dragonspiral Tower." Cedric Juniper commented after hearing what transpired in the Tower from the group. "Never thought that the Leader of Team Plasma would be able to gain the trust of the Legendary Pokemon of Truth."

Adam nodded, seeing the trouble this will cause for the Region. "Now that Team Plasma manage to gain a Legendary Pokemon on their side, then it'll be a matter of time before their goals are achieved." The blond and blue-haired Professor added,

"That's right, that guy N is probably off to the next Gym to challenge it and earn the last Gym Badge with Reshiram." Cheren frowns, seeing that probably would happen considering the elements at his disposal.

Hilda shook her head, knowing N won't abuse Reshiram's power for a simple Gym Battle. "N won't use Reshiram for the next Gym. He isn't the one to use Pokemon as tools,"

"Hilda's right, N sees Pokemon as his friends, not tools," Helena spoke, looking at the group. "He's misguided, confused with everything. I should know, when he was talking, he thought that I was Hilda." She turns to the brunette trainer next to him.

"I know you were spending time with N, Hilda. How are you feeling after learning the Truth about him?" The brunette trainer asked the young Researcher.

Helena looks away, gazing upon Dragonspiral Tower before answering the question. She turns her attention back to the group, "A bit dazed, but I sorta knew that N is a part of Team Plasma by how he speaks about Pokemon and People." She answers.

"But I never thought that he was the Leader of Team Plasma," Helena continued.

Adam nodded, understanding how Helena feels. "As long you're all right, Helena." He said before continuing with the conversation. "So you two saw N with Reshiram, anything else that he said to you two?"

Hilda nodded, placing her hand on her hip. "That only to stop him is to look for the other Legendary Pokemon, Zekrom." The brunette trainer replied. "Though that would be hard, considering we don't know where to look."

"That I believe we can answer that," Cedric smiles, already having a solution for finding the other Legendary Pokemon. He turns to Bianca and motions for her to bring the suitcase.

Bianca took out a file that Professor Juniper entrusted to her. "Professor Juniper, (the other one) has been helping the Professor with his Research. She assisted him with the Legendary Pokemon before we were trainers." She handed the files to the old and young Professors.

"We went over the files my Daughter gave Bianca here and discovered something quite useful." The bronze-haired Professor stated,

Adam nodded, continuing with the explanation. "During the final year of my Apprenticeship with Professor Juniper; the three of us were invited on an expedition to Relic Castle along with Lenora."

"The Nacrene City's Gym Leader?" Cheren asked,

The Professor nodded, "Yes, during that expedition we discovered an odd black stone on a pedestal." Adam explains to the young trainers. "Though it was difficult to get to it due to the elaborate traps set in that Ruin; we decided to leave it until we get the proper equipment." He explains further.

"So you believe that black stone is the Dark Stone then." Cheren nodded, understanding what they must do.

Hilda nodded, "Then the Desert Resort is our next stop-"

"Now hold your Mudsdale, don't go running off where you only got a portion of what you need." An elderly voice spoke out, (Insert Alder's Theme: Remastered ► Pokémon Black & White Music)

Everyone looks around before noticing a tan man with wild flame-like hair and grey eyes. He wore a pale yellow cloak, ripped white pants, and black sandals. He has six Pokeballs dangling from his neck and three more on his belt.

"I may have some information you all want to hear." The man smirks, jumping down from the Mountain side.

Helena was confused about who this person was, however when she looks around she saw everyone smiling.

"ALDER!" Everyone greeted the red-haired trainer.

"Um…who?" Helena asked as Brycen cleared his throat. She turns to the Ice-type Gym Leader, explaining to her who this man is.

"Helena, this man is Alder. He's Unova's Champion and is currently ranked Number Three of the Masters' Eight." Brycen explains to the black-haired girl before looking at the Champion. "Alder, what brings you here to Icirrus City?" He asked.

Alder chuckles, looking at the Gym Leader of the City. "At first, I wanted to see Adam here, but after hearing reports of Team Plasma activity in Icirrus City, I have to perform my duties as Champion in response." The Champion said, getting serious about the situation.

"Alder, if you don't mind can you tell us what you know?" Hilda asked the Unova Champion.

The Champion nodded, looking at the group. "Team Plasma is looking for the Dark Stone to prevent any opposition from forming. However, they believe that the Stone is still there undisturbed." Alder informed the group,

Helena was confused about how the Champion knew about Team Plasma's ongoings. "Um, excuse me, Mr. Alder. How do you know what Team Plasma is planning?" She asked the red-haired man.

"Now that Helena mentions it, how do you know, Alder?" Bianca asked also, wanting to know how he came across that information.

Alder smiles, explaining how he gained the information. "Simple, just a few months back Lenora asked me to accompany her to Relic Castle and successfully retrieved the Relic." The Champion informed the group.

Adam was surprised by what the Champion of Unova revealed. "So Team Plasma will be going to an empty Castle then," The Professor commented, seeing things lighting up.

"But who can say that Team Plasma might be aware that the Dark Stone isn't in Relic Castle?" Hilda asked everyone around her. "We should split up, one group goes to Nacrene City to make sure the Dark Stone is safe while the other goes and make sure Team Plasma believes that we're on their trail." The brunette trainer stated, explaining her plan.

Everyone took the moment to process Hilda's plan in their mind, "Hilda…your plan…it's genius." Cedric laughs, liking the sound of it.

Adam agrees with his former Mentor, supporting what Hilda said. "If it goes as planned then we can secure the Dark Stone before Team Plasma would even notice they've been played." The blue and blonde-haired Professor said.

"Since we're all agreed with the plan, then I suggest Hilda, me, and Alder go to Relic Castle since they are aware that the two of us are always getting in their way," Cheren added his thoughts to Hilda's plan. "The Professors should be the ones retrieving the Dark Stone."

Bianca then raised her hand, "I-I'll join them as their Bodyguard!" The blonde trainer exclaims, wanting to help out the best she can.

The Professor nodded, not minding Bianca joining them.

Hilda turns to Helena, knowing the Dragonspiral Tower incident was shocking for her. "Helena," The black-haired girl turns to the young trainer, hearing Hilda call her name. "Can you accompany the Professor to Nacrene City? I know the events at Dragonspiral Tower are a bit much for you."

"I-" Helena really wants to help, but whenever she thinks about confronting Team Plasma, she can only picture N standing there. Then she realizes even if N was there along with the Grunts, she would probably not get enough time or find the right words to say to him.

Ultimately Helena went with Hilda's request. "Alright, I can do that," She responded.

"Alright, everyone let's put a stop to Team Plasma's plot," Alder announced, pepping the group for their separate mission.

After saying their goodbyes to Brycen and leaving Icirrus City, the group separated to their destination. One headed toward Relic Castle to keep Team Plasma occupied while the second went to Nacrene City Museum. (End Song)

Pinwheel Forest entrance,

Exiting the Pinwheel Forest, Helena, Bianca, and the Professors were walking down the path to Nacrene City. The group saw small buildings just ahead of them, "There's Nacrene City!" Bianca points to the City just a few feet away from where they are.

Helena's Emerald eyes looked ahead, seeing the upcoming City. She smiles that their destination was close, however, her smile drops, turning back to the direction where they came from. "I hope everyone else is going to be okay at Relic Castle." The black-haired girl said to himself.

"I wouldn't worry about them, Helena." Helena heard her Mentor speaking, prompting her to turn in his direction.

"Both Hilda and Cheren are capable trainers, they manage to defeat Brycen who is one of the strongest Gym Leaders in Unova," Adam ensures Helena that there's nothing to worry about them. "They faced Team Plasma before we even arrived at the Region."

Cedric smiles, looking at the two Researchers walking beside him. "Don't forget, Alder is with them." The bronze-haired Professor added, smiling at them. "With the Champion assisting those two, then they're all good."

Helena nodded, feeling more reinsured that their friends are able to take care of themselves. Soon enough, the four of them made their way into Nacrene City,

(Insert Nacrene City: Remastered ► Pokémon Black & White Music)

The City was quite unique, there was art practically everywhere they looked. The buildings were the size of a small City, where the majority are warehouses and many cafes and gift shops.

Helena was in awe of the City of Art, never before had she seen something unique in both here and her old World. The young Researcher approaches a large sculpture in the middle of the street. She tilts her head, finding it to be interesting, "This looks interesting,"

"Yep, Nacrene City, the City of Art. Even if it's not grand as Castelia City nor Nimbasa City, it has its quirks." Adam explains, feeling right at home in the City. He turns to his Apprentice, explaining what this City is known for, "Nacrene City is known for Artists renting spaces where they can do their art. On buildings, placing sculptures, and selling their Artwork to patrons."

Cedric nodded, crossing his arms. "Not only that, but Nacrene City is also famous for the Museum." The bronze-haired Professor explains to the Ability User. "It holds so much History about the Region and has detail records of events after the Legend of the Twin Heroes." He explained.

"I see," Helena nodded, getting the information about the City from the Professors.

"Nacrene City's Museum is also the Nacrene Gym; and the Leader, Lenora is the Curator of the Museum." Bianca jumps in, happy to share the information she has.

Helena was surprised to hear that a Museum Curator is also a Gym Leader. "Really? I didn't expect a Curator to have a Gym built inside a Museum." She commented,

"Of course, Lenora loves her History but she's also passionate about Pokemon Battles." Cedric laughs, walking further into the City. He looks back at the three, ushering them to follow him. "Come, the Museum's this way." He waves at the three.

Standing outside a white building with a Pokemon League Logo stationed at the front was a Woman. She has dark skin, and turquoise green afro hair tied by a red-striped bandana. She wore a collared white shirt, baggy dark jeans, and red short-heeled shoes. In her hand, over her shoulder was an apron,

Right beside her, she was talking to an average man with short, combed hair with glasses in a suit.

"Lenora!" Bianca waves her hand at the woman,

The Woman turns around, smiling at the incoming trainer. "My, if it isn't Bianca. Long time no see," Lenora greeted the blonde trainer.

Bianca giggled and almost made it to the Gym when she tripped over by her own feet. "GAH!" She fell to the ground, quickly being assisted by a newcomer.

"Bianca, are you all, right?" Helena asked, helping her friend up.

Soon both Professor Juniper and Ceder join the girls, standing before the two. Bianca smiles at Helena for helping her off the ground. "Yes, thank you, Helena." She replied,

"You should be more careful where you're running, Bianca," Adam said, helping her up as well.

Bianca merely nodded, appreciating them looking out for her. "I know, I know,"

"Well bless my soul, why it isn't Mr. Ceder!" Lenora approaches the group, smiling at the former Apprentice that always visits her Museum. "It's been so long since I last saw you, Adam. I heard you earned your degree to be a Professor of Research." She smiles at an old friend, placing her hand on her side, "Good for you,"

The man next to Lenora nodded, adjusting his glasses. "Yes, it's nice to hear you achieved your dreams of becoming a Professor, Adam." He smiles, genuinely happy to hear that,

Adam chuckles, happy to see two old friends once more. "Thank you, Lenora, Hawes. Though it was nothing, I merely did my best." He humbly replied.

Lenora laughs, seeing this man never change. "Glad you're the same person as you left. Now, I heard from Alder that y'all came here for something valuable in my Museum." She said with a serious tone,

The Gym Leader/Curator turns to Nacrene City Museum's entrance, motioning her head to the doors. "We can talk once we're inside, Arceus knows that Team Plasma might be lurking," Lenora said, leading the group inside her Gym.
