CH 18
When mike look at his watch Kate was dancing with an army officer since Kate was dancing some of the night with both army and air force officers which Mike didn't mind. When the song was over the officer walk Kate back over to mike and shook her hand
"Thank you for the dance Kate and good luck with your navy career"
"thank you tom for the dance and good luck with your career and purposing to your girl friend"
"thanks for your advice"
"Your welcome" he turn around and walk away.
Kate turn to Mike "Purpose"
"Yes he want to purpose to his girlfriend, his mates gave him tips but none of them aren't married and there ideas of purposes were crazy so I ask him questions about his girl friend and I gave him some ideas which help"
"You did"
"Yes"
"Care to share" Kate smile
"I ask what her favorite color is and what she like to do on her days off so it gives me idea of what sort of women she is then I gave him my suggestion, he likes it and way better than what his mates suggested" Mike grin
"I bet it was, shall we, limo will be here soon"
"Good idea"
They walk to the exit where one of the staff got mike his hat and Kate her wrap and purse then they walk out of the hall with there arms wrap around each other as they walk towards the car park. When they arrived Mike pulled Kate into his arms and kiss her
"How are you feeling" mike asked
"good you"
"good you did great tonight, I'm prod of you" Kate smile
"I'm prod of you to mike" they turn when there limo showed up.
"At least we can sleep in tomorrow" mike said
"sounds good to me"
Mike open the door so Kate could get in first then he got in and close the door. Then the driver drove them back to the hotel. When they return back to the hotel and was in there room Mike help Kate with her dress zipper then he started taking his uniform off.
"what shall we do tomorrow Kate?" Mike asked as he remove his jacket
"sleep in, more passionate sex love making, Christmas shopping" Kate said smiling as she hung her dress up on a clothes hanger
"I like that idea" Kate turn around to him
"do you"
"Yes I do" He said smiling at her.
Kate then remove her strapless bra and throw it at him then she turn around and walk into the bathroom closing the door up partly
"Kate I was enjoying the view"
"i know you were mike"
Kate remove her necklace and earrings, she put them back in there boxes then she remove the clips from her hair and then her panties and stockings. When done she walk over and open the shower door and turn the shower on. Then she turn when she heard the door open and saw mike standing there in his briefs looking at Kate
"Kate why are you having another shower?"
"to get rid of the gel and mousse that in my hair, care to join me" she said smiling as she step in closing the door behind her.
She step forward and put her head under the water. Mike watch her then he step ford closing the door then he pull his briefs down and step out of them and step ford opening the shower door and stepping in closing the door behind him. Kate turn around and smile as he step ford warping his arms around her waist then kissing her
"You such a tease Kate"
"you love it don't you" Kate said as she wrap her arms around his neck
"Yes I do" they kiss and made love while in the shower then again in bed before falling sleep in each others arms.
The next morning they woke up after nine after a long busy day the day before and busy night. They made love before getting up and dress. Then they left the hotel to go into town for lunch and did some shopping for the rest of the day.
That night they meet up with Ed, Paul and Alice at the hotel for dinner and drinks. The next day they all went to the air port. Mike flying to Cairns since he leaving the next day for ten day patrol but would be home for Christmas.
Ed flying back to England while Kate, Paul and Alice flying to Sydney. They all said there good byes to each other since both Ed and mike flights are leaving at the same time.
Mike and Kate hug and kiss before Mike walk towards the doors that leads to the plane he going to be on. Kate Paul and Alice watch mike plane leaves. Then they went to air port cafe for a drink since they still got an hour before they leave them selves.
That afternoon when that walk through the door to the house carrying there bags. They walk to the stairs and up them and down to there rooms. When Kate walk into her and mike room. She put her things away including unpacking her bags.
Then she went and got sheets and made the bed and clean the bathroom. Once done she walk down stairs and into the kitchen to see Alice making them cup of coffee.
"all settle in Kate"
"Yes thanks, I've made the bed and clean the bathroom"
"Oh I could of done that Kate" Kate smile
"it done now" they talk while Alice made them and Paul a drink just as he walk into the kitchen.
They talk about going shopping since there nothing much in the house. After they had there drinks they went shopping since Kate needed to get a few things her self.
The next day Paul, Alice and Kate started decorating the house in the afternoon since they went shopping that morning. They having a great time especially when Kate tease them with mistletoe that she found in one of the shops and brought it even through it was made of plastic.
Kate had bits of it hanging from door ways and in different parts of the house which made Paul and Alice smile.
One day Kate borrow Paul car to go to Watson bay. She wanted to check out the area as well the base. Plus finding out more about the training she and other lieutenants from ADFA graduates will be training for. She check out the accommodations the gym, swimming pool the navigation rooms, every thing so she would know what to expect for next year.
When finish she went to do some shopping before returning back to Paul and Alice place. On the twenty fourth Kate went to the airport to pick up mike since the rest of the family already at the house. Kate was looking forward to seeing mike and to spend Christmas with him this year. When the passengers started walking through the doors. Kate look and waited til she saw him. She walk over to him since he saw her. They hug and kiss
"miss you mike"
"miss you to Kate" they kiss once more
"Lets get out of here" Mike said
"good idea" they walk over to where the bags are with there arms around each other.
Once Mike got his bag, he and Kate walk towards the exit while talking. Kate drove them back to the Flynn house. When they arrived Mike was greeted by his family soon as he open the passenger door.
Kate laugh when he was greeted by his sisters since it been three years since he last saw some of them. Kate got out and walk to the back of the car to open the boot to get Mike bag out and close the door then she follow the family to where the barbeque and table and chairs are.
Kate walk in side and up stairs to her and mike bedroom. She unpack his bag then went to the loo before returning back out side with the family. They talk and laugh about different things for the next few hours. Later that night mike and Kate made love before falling asleep in each others arms.
The next morning every thing was crazy in the Flynn house hold. Mike and Kate stayed in bed, they made love that morning and snuggled in each other arms while talking and kissing while they can hear the rest of the family moving around the house.
"We should get up Kate" mike said
"i know but I'm comfortable here" Mike grin
"i know if we don't all my sisters will barge through that door with out knocking" Kate giggle as she rolled till she was on top of him
"don't remind me Mike. I never forget when Jane barge in here" Mike smile
"Yes, she sure got a bird eye view but she quickly close the door"
"True" Kate kiss him then sat up
"Kate" Then the door bang open.
Kate and mike turn to the door to see mike sisters in the door way "do you mind" Kate said the sisters stood there in shock with there mouths open.
Jo move and grab the door handle "sorry Mike, Kate, we thought you were asleep" then Jo close the door.
Kate turn to mike and laugh "You think that funny" Mike sat up warping his arms around Kate
"Yes, at lest they didn't get much of a view"
"True" they kiss then mike roll them both till he was on top.
"We better get up"
"Shower"
"Why not" they kiss then they got up and went to have a shower together.
Half an hour later they walk into the kitchen to see grinning Paul and Alice looking at them when mike and Kate wish them a merry Christmas
"Here you two go you must be hungry" Alice said putting plates on the breakfast bar in front of them
"mum" mike said
"Jo told us what happen, we might have to put a lock on your door mike" Paul said grinning while drinking his coffee
"thanks dad. Blame Kate"
"Hey why blame me for Mike?"
"You know why" He said grinning at her.
"Mike it takes two, to tango, any way I didn't hear you complain so stop blaming me when your to blame as well"
"she right Mike" Alice said
"i know mum, where the rest of the family"
"out side"
"Ok"
Mike and Kate ate there late breakfast while teasing each other which made Paul and Alice grin at them. When they finish breakfast. Mike and Paul went out side while Kate help Alice get lunch sorted out while talking. When mike and Paul walk out side Mike brother in laws were giving him a hard time about what happen before.
"Well if you guys haven't seen your wife in week or more you two would be doing what Kate and I was doing" they laugh
"Your right about that mike" one of them said.
While in the kitchen Kate and Alice talk while doing the vegetables together.
"Kate when are you and Mike planing on starting a family" Alice asked as she wash the small new potatoes.
"Some time next year when I have my IUD implant remove"
"when will that be removed"
"September and I'll be put on to Clomifene citrate for couple of months"
"Why when you already taking hormone treatments"
"It might be the only way for Mike and I to start a family. You know about history and the rapes, the infections, my cycles since then. That is why I had the in plant put in and when the time comes I'll be on Clomifene citrate. We hoping that it will work since I'm young, fit and healthy"
"Well we all hope it dose happen to you Kate. Jo knows what you going through. Her and Adam try for five years before she went on the Clomifene citrate and look she had two sets of twins with in three years. Who knows it might happen to you and Mike"
"i know but time will tell"
When the vegetables were done Alice and Kate took trays of food out side since it was a beautiful day. There was vegetable sticks, chips, dip and other snack foods plus they got them selves a drink. They join the rest of the family with talking and laughing till lunch time.
They went in side since it was getting to hot out side. They all enjoyed the big meal and deserts. Hour later they all open up there gifts from each other as well having a relaxing afternoon. That night they had a pick dinner from the left overs from lunch.
Over the next few days every one relax at the house or went into town. On New Years eve. Paul and Alice invited a lot of there friends over for new years party and barbeque dinner. Ed even showed up which shock Mike and Kate but was happy that he showed up. Every one enjoyed them selves. There was plenty of food and drinks for every one.
When it was close to midnight every one walk around to the front of the house since they could see the harbour bridge from there. Mike and Kate were on the veranda when the count down started which it reach one every one saw the fire works display coming from the harbor bridge. Every one which each other a happy new year.
Mike and Kate hug and kiss "Happy new year Kate"
"Happy new year Mike" then they kiss once more.
Then they hug others there while watching the fire works display till it was all over. Then they walk back around to the back of the house where they carry on partying till early hours of the morning.
When the family woke up and gotten up it was almost lunch time. Mike and Kate were the last ones out of there room. Mike and Kate spend three days together before Mike left to return back to Cairns since he going to be away for six weeks.
When mike arrived home he sorted out his bags and went to NAVCOM to collect his mail then he return home. When he arrived home he went through his mail and did what he normally dose.
At the end of January Kate walk into her new room at Watson bay. She sorted out her things and saw what her time tables for her classes are for the year so she would know what training she would be doing in that time. then went for a walk about the place like she did last time including walking into the class rooms where she and other last year ADFA graduates would be attending.
The next morning Kate walk into a class room to see most of the lieutenants were already there. She sat down in a seat after putting her folder and pens and her hat on the desk. When it was time the class stood up when there instructor walk into the room. The instructor look at all the lieutenants, he only saw one saluted him which he did in return
"Please sit down" they all sat down.
He interduce him self as he put his brief case on the desk. then he walk around the class room finding out each of the lieutenant names before he got started on the subject. They had two months of one subjects and training.
A week in to training Kate received an letter from commodore James from ADFA in Canberra. He wrote to her letting her know that the six men all found guilty and got dishonorably discharge from the navy for what they did to her last year.
Kate was please that it was over since she was wondering what happen to the men, now she knows. She wrote back a thank you letter to commodore James for letting her know about the out come of the case.
When Kate heard from Mike she was disappointed that he couldn't fly down to Sydney since the crew got a week off but was on stand by just in case they have to crash sail cause of a storm hitting some islands up north and they might have to take aid to them.
When Kate and the other lieutenants finish there first two courses most of them past including Kate. Once a month she spends it with Paul and Alice so she could have a brake for the weekend.
When Kate started the next course it was for three months. She and the other lieutenant work and study since there was three different courses. In that time Kate was able to spend a week end with Mike at a hotel in Sydney. They never left the room the whole time.
When the next course started it was for three months and it was in two parts. First part was in the class room and the other out at sea. Kate study a lot during that time as well making notices like she done with the other courses. Plus she saw Mike for one week end in that time.
When Kate and the other lieutenants finish the course and they got four days off before the next course Kate went to see her gynecologist since it was a good time to have the IUD in plant remove and she was given a scrip for Clomifene citrate.
When Kate and the other lieutenants had the next course there was four of them and that lasted for ten weeks. Kate and the other lieutenants study hard a lot harder than every before plus at the end of each course there was tests and exams that they had to do.
In that time Kate saw Mike twice. He knew what it was like since he been through it him self and he knew what Kate was like so spending those two weekend with her was great and he knew that Kate needed a brake from the books and he knows how to get her away from them which help her to relax for those weekends.
When the courses were over every one waited for the results from it. When they did get the results. Some of them didn't pass on one or more courses. Others passed there courses including Kate. One of the lieutenants walk over to Kate who was reading her test scores.
"Hey McGregor what was your score" Kate turn to the lieutenant
"why do you want to know"
"just asking" Kate look around the room, they were all looking at her
"Between ninety seven and one hundred percent"
"you got hundred percent on what subject" one of them asked
"Basic navigation course and navigation faculty's tender pilot program"
"wow I just pass that course"
"same here" another one said.
They talk about there scores and all relies that Kate got the highest score out of every one in the room. Later that afternoon every one was given an envelope of where they going to be transferred to. When Kate got her's she open it and read that she been transferred to HMAS New Castle which she lucky it base in Sydney. Her instructor notice the look on Kate face so he walk over to her
"Every thing alright lieutenant" he look up
"no sir"
"no sir, care to explain"
"I was hopping to get transferred to Cairns"
"Why there"
"My husband is on the HMAS Huons up there... lieutenant commander Mike Flynn"
"Ah I see what you problem is, perhaps there nothing open up there"
"I was thinking the same thing"
Then Kate put her hand on her stomach "Excuse me sir" she put her hand over her mouth as she ran out of the room which shock the other lieutenants.
"Lieutenant Robins can you go and check on lieutenant McGregor, if need be take her to the ward room"
"Yes sir" the female officer said before walking out of the class room.
When Kate ran into the toilets she bend over bring up her lunch she had an hour ago.
"Kate are you ok"
"no" Kate said weakly then she was sick again.
When Kate stop throwing up she walk out of the toilet after flushing it and walk to a basin where she wash her pale face and rinse her mouth out. Then she got two paper towels to dry her face and put them in the basket.
"Kate I think we better get you to the wardroom you don't look good"
"I'll be fine"
"i don't think so, come on" the lieutenant help Kate walk out of the toilet when they saw another lieutenant there
"Tell the commander I'm taking Kate to the ward room for a check up"
"ok" the lieutenant help Kate down to the ward room.
When they got there a doctor was there "doctor"
He walk over to them just as the lieutenant help Kate onto the bed and she lay down
"what happen lieutenant"
"she was talking to commander Collins when she put her hand over her mouth and ran out of the room. She was sick when I got to the women toilets and she look very pale so I brought her here"
"Ok wait out side while I'll talk to the lieutenant"
"Yes sir"
then she walk out closing the door while the doctor called for a nurse then he walk over to see Kate face still look pale and her eyes were close. So he got a blood pressure cuff and put it on her arm so he could take her blood pressure just as a nurse walk into the room and Kate eyes open
"doctor"
"Easy lieutenant I'm taking your blood pressure"
"Ok" Kate said as she let out her breath.
When he took her blood pressure he remove the cuff "One ten over eighty" Doctor said to the nurse so she wrote it down.
"Can you sit up for me lieutenant"
"I think so" He help her to sit up and her got a sick bag for her just in case she might need it again.
"Lieutenant I'm going to ask you some questions"
"ok"
the doctor ask Kate different question which she able to answer them when finish asking Kate the questions he withdrew some blood for different tests so he could find out what is wrong with Kate. When done and nurse got Kate a cup of tea with sugar in it and some jelly beans to munch on since her sugar levels are a bit low but the doctor put down for her being sick.
While Kate was drinking the cup of tea the nurse took the blood sample away and the doctor got lieutenant robins to sit with Kate while he walk into the next room.
"Are you ok Kate"
"My sugar level is low, he running some blood tests to make sure my kidneys, and liver are ok and some other tests"
"Ok I hope every thing is ok"
"same here" when Kate finish her drink and the doctor return he let Kate return back to class.
"thank you doctor"
"I'll call you if there any thing from the blood results in the mean time relax as you said you been studying long hours in the past couple of weeks"
"thanks doctor" Kate and the lieutenant walk out of the wardroom and walk back to class.
When they walk in every one turn to them "I'm ok, study to long and not enough rest in the past two weeks, that what the doctor think" they were please that she is ok.
When it was over every one pack there things and left Watson bay which was there home for a year. They were planing on meeting at a restaurant which was book for the evening to celebrate finishing there courses.
Paul showed up at Watson bay Kate was there when he arrived in his car. When he got out he look at Kate "Kate you don't look to good"
"I'll be fine, some rest would be good for a few days"
"come on, Alice already made the bed"
"thanks" they put all of Kate things in the car then Paul drove them home.
"any idea where your transferring to"
"Yes HMAS New Castle, I start next month"
"no openings in Cairns"
"no"
"don't worry you got Alice and me"
"i know" Kate said letting out her breath as she close her eyes.
When Paul pull up in the drive way. Kate open her eyes and undid her seat belt, then she and Paul got out of the car. They got Kate things out and took them in side and up into her and mike room
"thanks Paul"
"your welcome, I'll let you get change"
"thanks" Kate was still in her uniform.
Kate sorted out her bags and got change. She look at the bed and walk over and lied down she pulled home made quiet over her as she fall into peaceful sleep. That is where Alice found Kate half an hour later so she close the door and walk down stairs and into the kitchen
"she asleep she must have been tired"
