CH 28
On Saturday Mike and Kate took kids shopping since they growing out of the clothes they got. On Sunday they spent it relaxing at the pool side enjoying a barbeque lunch since Mike and Kate brought steaks and salads for lunch the day before. They left after putting the kids to bed and saying there good byes to Paul and Alice till Friday.
Mike drove him and Kate to the base. When they were close to the base, mike pulled over and turn the engine off. He and Kate took there seat belts off and turn to each other then they lean ford and kiss which became passionate. When they broke apart they rested there for heads together
"You know soon as we go through those gate..." Mike said
"i know Mike, we can do it"
"I know we can" they kiss once more then they put there seat belts on then mike started the engine and drove to the Security check point.
The next day Kate had her classes and mike was talking to commander Ellis about the day topic. Over the next two months Kate and mike were able to spend most of the weekends at Paul and Alice place so they could spend time together as a family as well planing for the quads first birthday.
Mike and Kate couldn't believe how much they grown and they were there when each of them took there first step which made them happy. Plus they take each of kids swimming in the pool with them which they love.
The weekend of there first birthday party all of the family showed up for it. Mike and Kate even invited Doctor Davidson and his staff who look after then while they were in hospital. Some of the nurses who hasn't seen the kids since the day they went home was shock in how much they grown. There was number of photos taken as well video recorder recording as well. Every one had a great day including the kids who love there cake.
Two months later Mike and Kate were in the mall shopping with the kids not knowing that some one saw them together so that person follow them as well getting there cell phone out and made a call
"Hey you not going to believe this Commander Flynn and lieutenant McGregor are together... I'm not joking, well come and see for your self... yes I'm there third floor where baby shop is... ok see you when you get here" then they hung up.
Few minutes later "Hey I hope it no joke"
"Hey nope, what that"
"video Camera for evidence, are they still in there"
"Yep" they walk over to the window and look in and look around till they saw Mike and Kate together.
The guy got his video camera out of it bag and set it up and started recording then he walk into the shop and crouch down then he got close to where Mike and Kate are.
"Mike what do you think for Mary and Grace"
"Kate that wouldn't stay clean for long"
"True" then the kids started making noises.
Kate look at her watch then to mike "It almost lunch time and I'm getting hungry" Mike step ford wrapping his arms around her waist
"Well I'm not surprise Kate we didn't have breakfast this morning since we been busy doing other things" they kiss
"Yes we were. I'm please Paul and Alice gone away for the weekend"
"Same here"
"come on let buy these clothes for kids and get some lunch then in two hours kids would be asleep"
"Mmm I love the way you think Kate" Kate giggle
"i know you do Mike" Kate push the stroller to the counter.
The person manage to move from where he was and out the door then quickly walk over to the other person
"well"
"Your right, they having an affair, McGregor husband Paul and Flynn wife name Alice are away for the weekend and sounds like this affair been going on for a while"
"No wounder she getting high marks, she sleeping with Flynn lets go and tell the others"
"Good idea" they walk away quickly just as Mike and Kate walk out of the shop talking and laughing.
On Monday morning both Kate and mike were wondering why they were getting strange looks from other officers at Watson bay. They were getting strange looks for the whole week. Kate notice that none of the others students from her class talking to her.
On Friday night when Kate arrived at Paul and Alice place Mike was there.
"Kate I'm sorry I know that we agree not to talk about the navy but have you notice any thing strange this week"
"Yes I have, the others not talking to me like they use to, they all give the the cold shoulder"
"I've spoken to the other instructors they tight lip about it. Neil doesn't know what going on but he going to find out and let me know"
"Ok" They hug and kiss then they walk in side and went to spend time with there family.
On Sunday night Neil knock on mike door. So Mike got up and open it "Neil come in" Neil walk into the room and mike close the door and turn to him
"what is it"
"Mike you may want to sit down"
"Tell me"
"there rumors going around that you and Kate are having an affair and you cheating on your spouses Paul and Alice"
"what" mike said in shock
"there a video take of you and Kate in some baby shop kissing and hugging"
"some one stalking Kate"
"Or you, I don't know where the video tape came from"
"Have you seen it"
"Yes and I'm shock" Mike thought about what Kate said and remembered that there a meeting in the morning with all of the instructors
"Thanks for telling me Neil"
"Mike can I ask a question"
"sure"
"Who Paul and Alice"
"my parents. They live here in Sydney and looking after Kate and my kids while we are both here."
"Ok thanks for that"
"Your welcome Neil" Neil walk to the door and out it closing it behind him.
Mike walk over and pick up his phone and made a call "Kate it mike"
Mike told Kate about what Neil found out. He can tell in Kate voice she not impress that some one stalking her or mike. When they finish talking on the phone he called his dad and told him what was going on. Paul not happy that some one stalking Mike and Kate and promise to be there in the morning.
Early the next morning when the instructors finish there meeting. "Before you all go there is some thing I want to say and clear up" Mike said
"We know about you and lieutenant McGregor Flynn" one officer said
"We saw the tape, how could you cheat on your wife and brake the rules you know what will happen to you, to the lieutenant" another officer said.
"First of all you should of come to me instead of talking behind my back. All of you except for Neil here don't knows the truth" Mike in in command tone
"you just want to save your own ass Flynn" Mike stood up and walk to the door and open it
"come in" Every one saw a man in civilian clothing walk into the room.
Then mike close the door "Everyone I want you all to meet retired rear admiral Paul Flynn, my father"
Every one look at mike then to an angry Paul
"Your father" one said in shock
"Yes my father and Alice who is my mother"
"the video, but you still having an affair with your student"
"Who happens to be my daughter in law, Mike wife" Paul said
"your wife" one said looking at mike
"but your her instructor"
"Yes I am Admiral Towers knows that, that is why Neil here is doing all of lieutenant McGregor papers. Both Neil and I sign an agreement with the admiral. If you notice lieutenant McGregor and I aren't here on weekends is cause we spending time with our family"
"Alice and I are looking after Mike and Kate fourteen month old quads while they are here. Far as I know they keeping work and family apart. When they here and in uniform it work when they in civilian clothes and away from here it family"
"How do we know you are Paul Flynn sir" one of them asked.
Paul pulled out his navy ID and step ford showing the officer. When he saw it he look up at Paul as he pass it to another officer "sorry sir."
"don't apologize to me all of you should apologize to Mike here you should of spoken to him, he would tell you the truth and he would of shown prof"
"what proof sir"
mike got his wallet out and took a photo and and showed it to the first officer close to him.
When he saw it "your wedding photo"
"Yes. Kate and I have been married for over seven years"
the officer pass the photo back to mike who put it back in his wallet after looking at it for a few seconds just as an officer pass Paul back his navy ID.
"Mike I'm sorry for the way I treated you in the past week with out asking you about it" one officer said as he step ford holding out his hand Mike put his in the officer and shake
"It ok" then the others did as well.
"There is one thing that mike and I talk about last night. He spoke to Kate before calling me, we think that one of the lieutenant or lieutenant commanders officers is stalking Mike or Kate, for what reasons we don't know" Paul said
"Stalking" one of the officer said in shock
"Yes and it worrying Kate that there a stalker out there videoing us for how long we don't know and with who ever is it showing the video of Kate and me shopping together is a breach of our privacy"
"Is there any thing we can do to help"
"Give me a couple of days and I'll some how talk to Kate"
"sure" one of the officer said. They talk for few more minutes before leaving the meeting room.
"Dad thanks for coming down"
"no problems Mike that is what families are for"
"True" then they went there separate ways.
That afternoon when Mike saw Kate in class he carry on like nothing has happen. After class when Kate was walking towards the door mike walk to his desk, he slip Kate a note as they walk pass each other. Couple of the students notice it.
When Kate walk out side she open the note and read it 'meet me in my room tonight 2000 we need a plan'
Kate rip up the little note and as she walk pass a rubbish bin she put some of the pieces in it. She look over her shoulder to see two students getting pieces of paper out not seeing Kate put the rest in another bin.
That night Kate knock on mike door. He open it and let Kate in. Kate saw Neil also in the room just as mike close the door
"sir"
"Lieutenant"
"Kate sit down please" Kate sat on the bed and mike sat next to her while Neil sat on the chair.
Mike fill Kate in about what happen that morning at the instructors meeting so she would know. When mike finish telling her, Kate thought about it.
"fishing" Kate said as she turn to mike
"fishing" Mike said
"Yes fishing. Mike can you talk to the other instructors to see if they can help us catch a fish or two"
"I don't under stand" Neil asked.
Kate turn to Neil "Mike and I can be the bait, Mike could say to me... on Friday after class 'Kate meet me at the coffee shop in the mall at ten tomorrow morning' Mike could say it loud enough for a student or two to hear. Then on Saturday mike and I will met up at the coffee shop, we have our drinks then go shopping together. While we doing that you if you can make it and some of the other instructors could watch us from a distances while keeping a look out for any of the students especially the one with the video camera. That the one we are after. Soon as you or the other instructors know who he is, call mike to tell him where that student is cause we need to catch him or her in the act of recording Mike and me together"
"i like that plan" Mike said
"sounds good to me, Mike your right about your wife bring bright" Mike grin
"that she is"
"Great... mike soon as you talk to the other instructors let me know then we can go fishing"
"Ok Kate" they stood up and hug and kiss
"See you in class tomorrow Kate"
"looking forward to it Mike" then she turn to Neil
"sir"
"Lieutenant" Kate walk out of mike room.
"Lets go and talk to some of the others" Neil said
"Good idea" then they walk out of mike room and went to talk to the others and ask for there help.
On Friday afternoon after class Kate walk towards mike "Kate meet me at the coffee shop in the mall at ten tomorrow morning" Mike said giving Kate a smile and a wink
"Yes sir" Kate said smiling back at him as she walk out of the class room
"Lieutenants" Mike said to three lieutenants as they walk pass Mike.
Once all the students were gone mike turn to Neil "bait been set" Mike said
"Let see what biting tomorrow"
"True"
the next morning Mike arrived at the coffee shop first. He got two cups of coffee and walk out side and sat down at a table. Then a minute later Kate walk over to the table. Mike stood up so they could hug and kiss then they sat down to talk
"Ten instructors are helping us today" Mike said
"good, after we have this we should go shopping for our kids"
"good idea"
Ten minutes later they stood up and walk towards the baby store with there arms around each other. They walk into the store and look around. They look at baby things for five minutes. The two who saw Mike and Kate couple weeks ago showed up and follow mike and Kate.
One of them got a video recorder. Not knowing to the two who busy watching Kate and mike that there was four instructors saw and reconsigned them. So they gave each other hand signals and they pass it onto the others who was around the mall third level they watch and waited till they saw the one with the video recorder walk in and crouch down with his mate with him.
One of them called mike. When mike answer the phone "Hello Mike Flynn... yes how many... two... ok" Kate look at Mike and saw his eye movement she gave a slight nod she he know she under stood
"Ok, great, thanks" then he hug up
"Now where were we, how about this one" Mike said as he pick one item up to show Kate
"Love it" they move from where they were.
Kate move further around where the cots and bassinet are then she crouch down and move around them while mike stop to look at different baby items. Kate saw Neil her pointed to where the two are she gave him a nod and hand signals which he nodded. Kate moves around till she saw them, then she stood up and walk quietly behind them
"Dam where McGregor"
"she must be there some where, man she look hot in that top"
"Man you one love sick puppy you know that"
"what can I say she hot and sexy but I still can't believe that she having an affair with Flynn"
"Neither could I, I wounder how she got him into bed"
"that is none of your business lieutenant commander Lee" Kate said in a command tone.
The two jump up and turn around in shock "Lieutenant Adams what you you two got to say for your selves"
"More like what you got to say for your self lieutenant"
mike walk up behind them taking the video camera out of the lieutenant commander hand, he move the video tape from it and pass the camera back to the guy
"you have no right in stalking Kate or me lieutenant commander"
"i wasn't stalking"
"This" he raise the video tape
"Is prof that you have been stalking Kate and me, why"
"you two having an affair"
"Affair" Kate said as she step up to the lieutenant commander.
"Yes, I record you both in the past two weeks"
"that is stalking and I do not like have my private life made public lieutenant commander" Kate said
"Why you don't want every one to know that you and lieutenant commander Flynn are having an affair"
"Lieutenant commander Flynn is my husband" they laugh
"Yeah right I wounder what you husband Paul has to say about you two" he said grinning
"You think that Paul my husband... Paul is my father in law a retired rear admiral of the RAN"
"Who Alice" the lieutenant asked
"My mother" Mike said
"your mother sir"
"Yes"
"Paul and Alice live here in Sydney, they looking after our kids while we are at Watson bay." Kate said
"Great story McGregor" Kate open her purse and pulled out a photo she put it up to the lieutenant commander face.
"Tell me lieutenant commander sir what do you see"
"a wedding photo of...lieutenant commander Flynn and you, your wedding photo" Kate showed the lieutenant
"You are married to lieutenant commander Flynn but he your instructor it against the rules" lieutenant said
"commander Ellis is marking all of Kate paper work and scores. Admiral Towers from Fleet command knows this" mike said as Kate put the photo back in her purse.
"then why not tell the class at the beginning"
"We keeping and personal and professional lives separate" Kate said
"I want you two to correct what you said and done to every one, you got till Friday, if not you both will not only have Kate and me to deal with but commodore Johnson. Now get out of here" Mike said the two men walk out of the shop.
Mike pulled Kate into his arms "it's over Kate"
"Question is will they tell the truth or more lies"
"We shall see, lets carry on shopping"
"Good idea" they turn around and return back to what they were doing.
