Chapter 9 – The beginning
Flashback:
Alderaan, 9 years BBY:
"Leia, wait," 10 years old Ines Talia just yelled at her friend, Princess Leia Organa, as the two girls were running through the woods of Alderaan, while being followed by Leia's droid L0-LA 59 that they called Lola.
"Come on, stop being a baby," Leia said as she reach a huge tree, and started to climb on it.
"I'm not a baby," Ines said frowning at her friend, as she looked up.
"Then what are you waiting for?"
Ines hesitate, but like always she didn't want to stay behind, after all she could fight boys since she was 7. She was not scared to climb a tree.
"You will get us in trouble," she said and she also started to climb up the tree.
As the two girls reached a high point, they both sat down, looking at the many ships that was leaving the planet.
"Medical freighter," Leia said smiling at Lola who beeped back, "Pleasure barge, boring."
Lola beeped again.
"Casino ship? Not bad."
Ines looked at them and shook her head.
"Oh, A Tri-Wing. That's a new one."
Then a big ship passed by.
"An Aquilian Ranger. Probably scouting for Merson Pirates."
"What is you and ships?" Ines decided to speak this time.
"Because it is way more fun than doing other stuff." Leia replied to her.
"Royal stuff, you mean."
Leia nod. Today she had some important visitors and being the Princess of Alderaan, she had to meat them, especially her cousins, that she was sure they were about to arrive.
Looking up to the sky, Ines sighed.
"Do you ever think we will be able to see the galaxy and going on one of those ships, someday?" She asked looking at her.
Both girls had never left the planet since they were babies, which made them sad, because they wanted to see the galaxy, explore new systems.
"You wish," Leia said to her, that looked back to the sky.
"I will. I know it."
Leia looked at her friend and smirked.
"Because of the boy of your dreams is not from here and you two will meet somewhere else?"
Ines looked at her friend, and the smiled vanish from her face.
"Next time I will not tell you anything, because I know you will make fun of me, like everyone else."
"I'm sorry, but I just find ridiculous that dreaming of a boy, means that not only he's real but you two will meet each other." Leia replied.
"Well think what you want, I know in my heart that he is real and I will meet him someday, and it is not going to be here," Ines said with a strict voice and looked up the sky again.
Few weeks ago, she had being dreaming of a boy with the blond hair and blue eyes, and she didn't know why but she felt that it was not only inside her head. It felt real.
"I think we should go back. Our mothers already noticed we are gone and I'm sure they will not be very happy about it," Ines looked at Leia and gasped when she heard a voice down below.
"You got that right, young lady."
Looking down she saw Breha Organa, Leia's adoptive mother, looking up at them with not a happy face for sure.
"Leia Organa, you have to do this today?" Breha Organa asked looking at Leia who looked at Ines and then back to her mother.
"Do what?"
"Really?" Ines whispered at her friend.
"Down, both of you."
Sighing, both girls climbed down the tree.
"I'm sorry." Ines said right away once she reached the floor and looked up at Breha.
"I'm not mad at you, but your mother is not happy."
"I figure," Ines said making Breha smiled.
"Go, you need to get ready as well. You two will have time to hang out later."
"Yes ma'am." Ines said and looking at Leia, she waved "See you later."
"Bye" Leia waved back and Ines left inside with one of the maidens.
Ajan Kloss, present day:
Ines smiled remembered that day and looked at the people she loved the most, smiling when Padmé looked at her with her mouth full with egg sandwich from Luke's lap.
"Did you get in trouble, mama?" she asked between bites.
"Well your grandmother was not happy, that's for sure," she smiled at her daughter, who looked at her father and giggle.
"Mama got in trouble too," she said making Luke laughed.
"She reminds me of someone that I'm looking right now," Luke replied, seeing himself in his daughter, knowing he got in trouble a lot too when he was that age.
"So, what party you two needed to be?" he asked his wife.
"Well Leia's mother, Breha Organa, the Queen of Alderaan, sister and her family were visiting. And they needed their support. After all they were all royal." Ines explained to him.
"And your family was there too?"
Ines understood what Luke was asking her.
"The Organas always treated us as family, even if we were not theirs by blood. That is why we lived in the Palace, and well they were my Godparents."
Luke gasped at that information.
"That explains a lot."
"Well some them liked us, but others, not so much." Ines said
"Who mom?" Ben asked her.
"The Duchess and her husband Celly and Kayo and especially that little brat of their son, Niano." she said remembered that kid that she never really liked.
"What happened?" Luke asked her.
"Well…" she started.
Back to the Flashback:
Ines and Leia was standing at one table with the other kids. Even if she liked Leia like a sister, she always felt uncomfortable being around her friends' family. Especially knowing that she was not royal.
Y-O, a protocol droid approached them with a tray
"Your Highness."
"Thank Y-O," Leia replied with a smile and took the treat from it.
"My pleasure," the droid said before leaving.
"You thank your droids?" Niano said with a smile, making Ines looked at him.
"Here we go," she thought.
"It is good manners," Leia looked at him.
"You don't need manners when you're talking to a lower life form," he replied, making Ines put her piece of cake on the plate and looked at him.
"Did he called Y-O lower life form?" she thought and looked at him, biting her lip really hard.
Leia sensed her friend getting tensed and looked back at her cousin.
"Then I don't need manners when I'm talking to you," she replied, making Ines smirked, which didn't please Niano, who looked at her.
"What are you laughing for, servant," he said making Ines looked at him right away. "You shouldn't be here anyway. This is for people who are important, something that you and your family are not." then he looked at Leia. "You know the difference between you and me, cousin. I know things. My father says they never let you leave this planet. They don't want anyone knows about you because you are not one of us."
Ines looked at him in shock. How dare he to talking to her friend like that?
"You're not even a real Organa," he said with a smirked that Ines wanted to wipe right away from his face.
She was about to open her mouth, but Leia grabbed her arm, making Ines looked at it and them back to her friend.
"You're scared of him," Leia replied to him. "Your father. You want him to like you, so you repeat everything he says, even thought you don't really know what it means. You think being like him, will make people frightened of you, but really, you're the one who's scared. You've never made one decision for yourself in your entire life, and you never will. I may not have seen much, cousin, but I can see that." she said, making Ines try to hold a laugh.
"He just got burn," she thought and looked at him with a smile on her face.
Present Day:
"Damn, did my twin sister just burn that kid with that reply?" Luke said laughing, making the girls laughed with their father.
"Like you don't know Leia, right?" Ines said laughing too, while looked at their baby Luke, who moved in his sleep, but resume sucking is pacifier.
"Aunt Leia is a badass," Ben said smiled.
"She always was, my son," Ines replied smiling back.
"But that kid deserve it. First saying that droids are a lower life form, and then saying you were just a servant and then saying that Leia was not a real Organa! How dare he?" Luke said.
"Atoo is good. He is family," Ben said and looked at the droid who shook it but not beeped, so he wouldn't wake up little Luke.
"Yes he is son," Luke smiled at the droid.
"Imagine if he knew that she had a twin who was a moister farm boy on Tatooine," She said looking at him.
"I would kick his butt, right girls?"
"Yeah," Alli and Padmé replied at the same time.
"You, the sweet and calm boy, being mean? Yeah right, Skywalker," she winked at her husband who winked back. She loved him so much.
"But what happened next, mother?" Ben asked eager to know more.
"Well her parents weren't happy, I mean, her mother, cause Bail Organa loved it," she giggled.
"But how you two got kidnapped?" Luke asked.
"Well, she went to her room and she was supposed to apologize to Niano," Ines started, laughing when the kids pretend to through up, making her laughed at them. "But of course what happened was she ran away towards the woods, and I have the bad luck, or so I thought, to ran towards her, and as always we end up going to together. That's when we met a strange man. I knew he was not from there, and well I tried to protect Leia, and tell her to run, but they were too many."
"And you were only 10 years old, babe. What could you do?" Luke said.
"I know. But I felt like I could have protect my friend and I didn't. So I tried and I was knocked out and the last thing I remember was waking up, tying into a chair and Leia having Lola trying to free us, but it didn't end well,"
Back to the Flashback
Ines looked at Lola, trying to cut the ropes that surrounded Leia's body when the door opened and the man entered.
"Damn it," she said.
"We are not afraid of you," Leia said looking at him.
"Give it time," he said and grabbing Lola he throw her on the floor, breaking it.
"Lola," Leia screamed.
"Asshole," Ines said making the man looked at her.
"What did you call me?" he said.
"I called you asshole. Besides being stupid, you are deaf too?" Ines said looking straight in the eyes.
"Your parents should have teach you some manners," he said and slapped her in the face.
"Ines," Leia screamed again, and looked at him. "My father will rescue us. He'll send a whole army."
"No one's coming for both of you." he said before left the room, leaving the two girls alone.
"Don't worry, Leia. Help will come. Just trust it," Ines said praying she was right.
Back to the Present:
"Poor Lola," Alli said pouting.
"I know sweetheart," Ines smiled at her and kissed the top of her head.
"Well you can give some nice replies too, you know," Luke smiled at her. "I can see the Ines I met 9 years later and I fall in love."
Ines smiled at him.
"But mom, how my godfather find out and rescue you and aunt Leia?" Ben asked her.
She was about to answer when they heard a voice.
"Well, maybe I can help with that?"
"Ben," Ines and Luke said smiling watching Obi Wan, sat on a rock and looked at them.
"Tell us, please," Ines asked.
"Well I have to go back a few days…" he started.
Now it is time for Obi Wan tell his side of the story.
