Chapter 10 – Asking for Help

Ines looked at her old friend.

"I have to be honest, I always wonder how Bail Organa was able to reach you," she asked him.

Sitting on the rock, Obi Wan smiled.

"Well when Luke and Leia were born in Polis Massa, and we decided to separate both you," he said looking at Luke. "Bail took Leia, and I took you to your family in Tatooine."

"Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru," Luke said.

"My name is Padmé Beru," one of the twins said making Obi Wan laughed.

"And is a name you should be very proud, sweet girl," he said, making Padmé smile at the old Jedi Master.

"So, what did you do that for the past 10 years?" Ines asked.

Obi Wan sighed and looked back at them.

"Since Order 66, the Jedi that were able to survived had to hide from the Empire and especially from the Inquisitors, who were hunted them wherever they could find them." he started.

"Inquisotor?" Alli tried to say, making the adults laugh.

"No sweetie, Inquisitors," Ines said kissing the top of head. "We met some of them in Daiyu, they were after you." she looked at Obi Wan.

"That is right." Obi Wan nod and looked at Luke, "You met one of them too."

Luke looked at him and frown a little surprise.

"Me? I don't remember."

"Well it was dark, you were unconscious and your Uncle told you it was the Tusken Raiders."

Luke just looked at him and then his eyes wide open.

"Wait, that was an Inquisitor?"

Obi Wan nod.

Ines was looking from Obi Wan to her husband.

"Wait, what are two talking about? What inquisitor was after my husband? When?" she kept asking.

"Patience, Ines. I'm sure when it is time Luke will tell his own adventure," Obi Wan said.

"You bet, babe."

"I will, I promise." he said smiling at her.

Ben looked at his parents and sighed.

"Can my godfather tell his part of the story, please?" he said making the adults looking at him.

"Sorry," Ines giggled at her son. "Please continue."

Obi Wan smiled at started talking again.

"So, as I was telling, for the past 10 years I was living in Tatooine, working, and watching over your father. Living in his Uncle's moister farm, skipping chores cause he prefer pretending to flying or pod racing," he said winking at the kids, who looked at their father and giggled at him.

"Papa don't do chores. You are grounded, mister," Padmé said pointing her finger towards her father.

"Excuse me, young lady? I'm your father, I don't get grounded," he said kissing her cheeks, and looking back at Obi Wan he smiled. "And Ben, you were watching me that day?"

"I've being watching you all that time, and yes I was watching you that day, when your uncle asked you to get the canisters, and you decided to ran off around the hut and putting the goggles and pretending you were racing."

"Wait what?" Ines asked and started laughing, but not so loud cause she didn't want to wake up her little Luke.

"I thought you were telling how you got the information from Bail Organa, not to embarrassing me," Luke said to Obi Wan but he had a smile on his face.

He remembered that day like it was yesterday. Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru calling out his name, while he was right there, pretending he was on his speeder, racing.

"Okay then. So, one day the comlink that I had, started beeping, and that's when I got the call from them, saying that Leia was taken."

"I can't imagine how scared they were," Ines said adjusting Alli between her legs, while she was rubbing her baby's back who was sleeping his afternoon nap.

"They were. They were desperate," Obi Wan nod.

"Can you blame them?" Luke replied, "One of the biggest secret of the galaxy was just taken. What if someone would found who Leia was. That she was force sensitive?"

"I know. And I understood. But…" he started.

"You refuse to help them in the beginning," Ines said with wide eyes.

"Why did you do that?" Luke asked his old mentor.

"You must understand, Luke, that it has being 10 years since I used the force or went to a fight. I was a different man. I was not what I used to be. Besides my duty was with you, to watch over you, to protect you."

"But a child was taken. Their child. No matter how rusty I would be, I would never refuse the cry for help of two parents, desperate for their daughter's safety," Luke said looking at his kids.

"You are a father, Luke. But I know even if you were not, you would go. But I was broken, more than I wanted to admit to myself."

"Because of my father?"

Obi Wan nod.

"Well clearly you change your mind, cause you went after us," Ines smiled at him.

"Yes I did, and that was when your Godfather appeared in Tatooine himself…" Obi Wan started, remembering the conversation he had with his friend.

Flashback

Tatooine, 9 years BBY

Obi Wan entered inside his cave, watching a cloak figured standing there, wondering who found him.

The moment the figure turned, he gasped. Senator Bail Organa was standing there, in front of him.

"She's headed for Daiyu," he said looking at him.

"You should not have come."

"They hid their signature behind a freight transport. The ship is on its way now," Bail continued looking at him.

"I can't."

"She is my daughter, Obi Wan," Bail looked at him. "Besides, they took my Goddaughter too."

"What?" Obi Wan said, completely shock with the news. "How did that happen? And why didn't you say that before?"

"We didn't know Ines was with her at the moment, even we should have known. The girls are inseparable since they were babies. It is like they know in the future they will be sisters."

Obi Wan sighed.

"I'm not the man you remember."

"Then you're going to have to be."

"I can't leave the boy," Obi Wan replied.

"This is not about the boy and you know it." Bail replied. "You've made mistakes. We all did. It's the past. Move on and be done with it. You couldn't save Anakin, but you can save them."

"And what if I can't?"

"There is no one Ken and I trust our children than you," Bail said. "Please, old friend. Will you let something happen to his sister and to his future wife and the mother of his children?"

Obi Wan looked outside. He knew Bail was right. If something happened to Leia and Ines, everything could be at risk.

"For her," Bail continue. "For Ines. One last fight."

Present Day.

"As you can see, I couldn't allow that to happen. Leia was important to lead the rebellion, being a senator, use that in advantage. While you two, you were the hope for the Jedi. You two would rebuilt the Jedi Order, with your kids and the future parents of the ruler of the galaxy," he said smiled at Alli, who giggled and smiled back at him. "So as you can see, I couldn't let anything bad happened to both of you. Even if we still had Luke."

Ines nod. She understood what he meant.

"Then how did you two met?" Ben asked them, but the story was interrupted when a whimp was heard and baby Luke opened his eyes.

"Look who just woke up from a long nap," Ines smiled at her baby and picking him up, she kissed his little right cheek, while the blond hair and blue eyes baby, blinked and looked at the force ghost in front of him and smiled right away, making Obi Wan smiled back.

"You are a mini version of your father. Like literally," he said smiling.

"Well I think this is the key that we are done of stories today," Ines said, laughing when the older kids pout at that.

"Aww," they said looking at her.

"We want to know more," Alli replied.

"One thing at a time. If you take your bath and eat your dinner, maybe I can tell when me and aunt Leia finally met Uncle Ben as a bed time story."

"Okay," they said and without warning they stood up and went back to the hut, leaving Luke and Ines surprised.

"That was quick," Luke said laughing. "I think we should use that more often."

"Well then I think it is time for me to leave too." Obi Wan said standing up.

"Appear more often. I want to know some things from your point of a view," she giggled.

"I will. May the force be with you," he said before disappeared, leaving Luke and Ines alone with their baby son.

"I think we should go to, before those 3 destroyed the house," Ines said.

"Don't worry, I'll go and I will give a bath to this cutie," Luke said picking his son who gave his father a big smile.

"I will put all of this away and I will be right after you."

"Okay sweetheart," Luke said and kissing her, he left while he talked to their baby, that talked back at his father, making Ines smiled at them.

Yes, she was glad Ben went to help them, cause she couldn't imagine her life without him and their kids.

Well the kids really want to know more and the story will continue in the next chapters.
