Star Wars: Cross Paths Part 3

Chapter 11 – Call from Leia

Ines just had finished dressing the twins, and was combing their wet hairs, after give them a nice bath, before dinner. Her daughters hair was getting long, and soon she had to cut at least 2 or 3 fingers of it, knowing that Luke would not want more than that. He really loved long hairs.

Making the twins looked at her, she smiled at them.

"I'm proud of you, that you took your bath without pouting or cross your arms, like you always do," she replied, making the girls giggled and then they walked towards her and hugged her, making Ines hugged her girls. "Thank you. What was that for?"

The girls stepped back and smiled.

"We want it," Alli said.

"We love you mama," Padmé replied.

"Aww sweeties, Mama loves you too, so so much. Never forget that," she said kissing her cheeks over and over again. "Now, behave. I will check your big brother now."

"Okay," the twins said walking towards their bed, and grabbing their dolls they played with them, until it was time for dinner.

Walking towards the bedroom of Ben, she couldn't help but smiled when her first born was already dressed and combing his wet hair.

"Look at you, dressing by yourself and combing your hair too."

"I'm almost 6. I can dress myself now," the little boy said looking at her.

Ines couldn't help when she imagine that sweet boy, when he was a newborn, and now he already could do things on his own.

Walking towards him, she sat on the bed, and pulled him towards her.

"Why are you growing so fast? Stop it," she replied, smiling when Ben smiled back.

"I can't help it. But I will always love you mom," he said, making Ines pulled him into her arms and kissed the top of his head.

"I love you too, always," she looked at him. "Now can you watch your sisters for me, while I will check your father, who is giving a bath to your baby brother, and you know what happens, right?"

Ben laughed and nod

"Luke loves baths, especially splashing everywhere."

"Yup."

"I bet dad is all wet."

Ines started to laughed cause she knew her boy was right.

"We know he is," she winked at him. "Go on to your sisters bedroom. R2 is there."

"Mom, where is Lola?" Ben asked while they left the boys bedroom.

"Well, your aunt grew up and well being 19 with a droid following her around, well was not good look for a senator. But when she was in Alderaan she still used to hang around with her. But sadly she was destroyed."

"When your planet blew up?"

"Yes baby."

"I wish I could have visit it."

"I wish that too. You would love it. It had green woods, with wonderful lakes and the mountains filled with snow. It was the perfect image, especially from my bedroom veranda," Ines smiled sadly. "But where you were born has a little touch of Alderaan too. It is not the same, but you and your siblings can imagine how it was."

"And when we leave here, we go to dad's planet, right?"

"Yes. It has being a while since we were there. You were 2 years old, so maybe you don't remember much, but you will see that not everyone lives well, like I did and like you do."

"I know, mom. And that's sad," Ben looked at his mother. "I wish every kid was lucky as me and my siblings, for having amazing parents like you and dad."

Ines smiled at her boy.

"I wish that too, sweetie."

"Dad didn't have his parents around like you. Even aunt Leia, had parents. Even if they were not her biological ones."

"But he had love. His aunt and uncle loved him, and that is why he is an amazing person and an extraordinary man."

"And he is a great dad, I have to say," Ben giggled, making Ines laughed.

"Yes he is." she agreed.

Watching Ben entered in his sisters bedroom, she walked towards her bedroom, where Luke was giving a bath to their baby Luke, and the moment she entered, she could helped to gasped and then started to laugh, as she saw the front her husband black gig, his face and bangs all wet.

"Well, when you said you would give Luke a bath, I was thinking of the junior, not the senior," she said between laughs.

Hearing his mother laughing, baby Luke laughed and moved his legs and splashed his little hands on the water, spread it all over the place, hitting his father again.

"Well now you know how it all happened," Luke said smiling at his baby boy, while Ines grabbed the baby's towel and helped him wrapped the baby on it.

"Someone love baths, unlike your older siblings, right sweet baby boy," she said kissing her baby's cheeks. He was so precious. He was, like his siblings, an act of love between her and Luke, and she was so happy for that.

"Did the kids already took their baths?" Luke asked while he started to dressed his son and comb his little wet blond hair with his soft brush.

"They are ready for dinner."

"Already?"

"They really wanted to hear more of their mother story," she laughed.

Luke looked at her.

"So, you knew Ben all along, but you pretending not to," he said to her, making Ines gasped a little.

"Yes I knew who he was. But I had to pretend I didn't." she started to explained to him.

"So you lied."

Ines opened her mouth a little surprised by that statement. Was he mad at her? She knew he hated lies, but this time she didn't have a choice.

"You didn't tell me about being chase by an Inquisitor, either."

"I didn't know it was an inquisitor. And I will explained my part when the time comes. You lied at the time. You made an act. Did you know who I was too?"

"Only when he was about to leave from the room, in the death star," she explained to him.

Luke shook his head and sighed.

"Are you mad at me?"

Luke looked at her.

"Ben," he called.

Minutes later, his son appeared, followed by his twin sisters.

"What is it?"

"Can you hold your brother, please?" he asked him passing the baby to his older brother. "Be careful with him."

"What is wrong, dad?"

"Your mother needs to be punish, because she lied to your father," Luke said with a smirk on his face, making Ines stepped back.

"Luke, what are you doing?" she asked.

But before she could do anything, Luke grabbed her and putting her over his shoulder, he ran outside, with Ines screaming, and the kids followed them laughing. Even R2 beeped at the scene.

"Luke, don't you dare. Luke Skywalker. NO," she screamed when Luke ran towards the lake and jump in it, with Ines on his shoulder.

When they reached the surface, the kids were laughing. Even the baby one was laughed, even he was only laughing because he saw his sibling laughing too.

"Why you," Ines said reaching him and push his head down the water.

Getting his head out of water, Luke laughed at her and grabbing her arms, he pulled her towards him.

"Do you think I would be mad at you because of that? Obi Wan asked you to act like that, and I totally understand," he smiled when she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Thank you for understand that."

"And I will tell what happened that day with me and my uncle and aunt. But I can say this now, it was from that night, when I was unconscious and saw that beautiful girl in my head, that I knew that girl would be mine. And I loved you since then. Even if I was just 10 years old," he smiled.

"I loved you since I was 10 too, Luke. And I never stopped loving you."

Smiling at his wife, Luke leaned forward and took her lips he loved so much to kiss and taste.

Then their son called them.

"Dad, Mom, the communicator is beeping."

Luke and Ines pulled apart and looked at each other.

"Leia is calling," they said at the same time, and getting out of the water, they walked towards home, soaking wet.

Putting the device on top of the table, Luke pressed the button, and the images of Leia and Han with each of the twins on their lap and Iris sitting next to them with 3PO behind appeared.

"Hey how ar…," Leia started, but the moment she saw her twin brother and her sister in law, soaking wet in front of them, her eyes wide open, "What the hell happened to you two? You are soaking wet!"

"Thank you, miss obvious," Ines answered, grabbing a towel and tried to dry her hair. "I can thank your brother for that."

"Well I see you two are having a lot of fun in there, kids," Han replied laughing, making Bail, who was sitting on his lap laugh too.

"What happened, aunt Ines?" Iris asked with a big smile on her face.

"Your uncle decided to punish me and his big idea was throwing us into the lake," she said looking at Luke.

"Why?" Ani asked making Leia nod.

"Even my 4 years old son is wondering that," Leia replied.

"Well, actually we need to talk too, young lady," Luke said pointing the finger at her.

"Oh, mama is in trouble," Ani said covering his little mouth with his hands.

"You wish young man," she replied kissing his blond hair. "Why am I in trouble?" she asked back.

"You two didn't tell me you knew Ben since you were 10 years old," Luke answered her.

Leia frown at that and looked at Ines.

"Aunt Leia, mama is telling us the story when you two were kidnap," Alli replied.

"And when you met my godfather," Ben said right away too.

"Wait kidnap?" Han asked looking at his wife.

"When that happened, mother?" Iris asked too.

"Great, now I have to tell them that too," Leia said looking at her kids.

"Tell mama," Bail said right away.

"Yeah," Ani replied too nodding his head.

"Trust me, tell them before bed, and I can guarantee they will go to bed quickly. These 3 took their baths without complain for the first time," Ines said giggling.

"Maybe that is not bad of advice," Han said. "And I really want to hear too."

Luke laughed at his brother in law.

"Where is Chewie?" he asked noticed the Wookiee was not there.

"He went to see his family and talk to them about our thing," Han said, making Luke understand right away he didn't want to say in front of the twins.

"I see. And hello 3PO."

"Hello Master Luke. Mistress Leia. It is so glad to see you all," the protocol droid said, making R2 beeped. "And you too my little friend. Take care."

"But, why the call? Is everything alright? Something happened?" Ines asked them.

"So far, everything is calm. I called because I want to know how long will you stay there?"

Luke and Ines looked at each other. They had being talking about that too.

"Actually, Ines and I had talked about it and we decided we will leave in a couple of days." he replied his sister.

"Are you coming here or go to Tatooine first, kid?"

"We are going to Tatooine. We will stay there for a couple of weeks, talk to Boba. Din will be there too, and then we return to Coruscant," Luke answered him.

"Any news from our parents and my brother?" Ines asked Leia. It has being a while since she talked to them.

"Yes, everything is fine. The meeting went pretty well. And they are alright in Varykino. Cindel and Noah are also loving it. She is getting good with the help of Ken and Luna," Leia smiled at her, making Ines sighed in relieve.

"Well we better let you change clothes, you two," Han said making Luke and Ines looked at each other and laughed.

"Thank you. I really need that," Ines replied looking back at the holo. "See you in more than 2 weeks then."

"See ya. Bye guys," Leia said waving at her nephews and nieces.

"Bye aunt Leia," the kids said waving.

"Bye to you too," Luke said before the holo image disappeared.

Looking at his wife he couldn't help but shiver.

"I think we need to go before we catch a cold."

"You think, mister," Ines said rolling her eyes and went to their bedroom, they change clothes before dinner time.

So finally we saw the Solo family and 3PO. Apparently everything is going well. Next chapter, Ines will continue to tell her kids the story about her and aunt Leia and Obi Wan.
