Moving on Chapter 2
They were getting close now, how Link had gone so far down so quickly was a mystery but they had to hurry to reach him in time, who knows what was happening down at the bottom of this chasm. Luckily, with Tulin's help they were able to quickly brave the treacherous terrain and made it to the bottom in time to stop a bokoblin army from it's attack on Link. Quickly all 6 of them readied for battle, Riju landing by Link's side, coordinating when needed with his archery as they had done before.
Waves of all types of enemies were thrown at them, like they were being spat at with bodies, bokoblins, lizalfos, moblins and even gibdoes at one point, which Link and Riju both dealt with swiftly, even impressing some of the other sages with their coordination. Though that proved to be only the beginning as the scourges of the sage's respective temples came right back from the dead to face them, their dramatic entrance blocking Link off from the rest, sealing him in the path to Ganondorf.
Though she was worried both for herself and Link, she stayed forcused on the fight with Queen Gohma, as Tulin said they'd defeated these foes before but without Link she wasn't sure this fight would exactly be a piece of cake.
Despite being without Link, Riju was able to land enough accurate lightning strikes that Queen Gibdo fell soon enough, as soon as she was done fighting, she assisted the other sages so they could rush to Link's aid as fast as possible, Yunobo cleared the way and rush they did. They entered an arena of a sorts, a bright glowing red figure in the centre, the Demon King, and around him his phantoms.
Link looked to be getting ready to fight all six of them, but luckily for him he didn't have to worry about that as she and the other sages could draw the attention of the phantoms, letting him focus on the Demon King. While she was sure the Demon King was stronger, the phantoms they fought now were much more dangerous than they'd fought in hyrule castle, this fight would be dangerous indeed.
Riju struck the phantom with lightning but it didn't evem stop it's movement, damn these things are truly relentless, she could understand how her descendants failed. But they wouldn't, they'd fought his minions, and they had Link, nothing had stood in his way before and she doubts even the Demon King Ganondorf could stand up to him forever.
Just as she was watching the phantom to counter it's movements, the Demon King himself appeared as if from nowhere and knocked her to the ground with his greathammer. She felt the wind and strength knocked out of her as she fell to the floor and as she looked up, the king was readying a quick strike with his sword, only to have it bashed to the side by a parry from Link who quickly retaliated with some impossibly quick strikes from the master sword.
As the Demon King retreated in frustration, Link took out a bundle of fried yellow flowers and tossed them to Riju. At first she was shocked but then she recognised them as what she'd Link eating after getting hit by the Demon King. She took a bite from one and felt her strength returning to her, only to be knocked back by a large blast of gloom that robbed her of almost all her remaining strength.
From there she barely even had the strength to keep her eyes open as Link and Ganondorf dueled, impossibly fast swings from either opponent but Link looked to be landing and dodging more than the Demon King. As Riju continualy forced herself to try getting up, she saw Link about to defeat Ganondorf, but before he could stop him, the Demon King swallowed his secret stone.
Riju wasn't sure what such a thing would do but she knew it was bad, panic and adrenalin kicked in as she desparately reached for the flowers and forced one down her throat. The rejuvination was immediate but when she looked up again it was already too late, the Demon King was gone and in his place was a large swirling dragon of gloom and malice.
"Calamity-"
Riju heard Link whisper to himself before getting snatched in the mouth of the beast. Riju and the other sages screamed his name but before they even finished the word the beast had flown through the roof of the cave all the way to the sky. The cave began to collapse in on itself, Riju quickly grabbed the remaining flowers and brought them to the other sages, but they still had no way of escaping.
"Look!" Tulin shouted as Riju fed Sidon the flower. "Link's Purah pad! I saw him use that to teleport, maybe we could use that to get outta here!"
"Right, good idea, everyone huddle up around the pad!" Riju shouted, all of them running over to the pad. Link had shown her how to use it once at night so she switched to the overworld map and selected what looked to be lookout landing. Quickly blue light surrounded all the sages and suddenly there they were, standing at the base of the skyview tower.
Everyone in front of them was staring at the sky in awe. the sages followed the line of sight until they saw two dragons battling in the sky, light and dark, and a man jumping betweem the two.
"Link..." Riju muttered in astonishment.
"Is that him up there?!" Yunobo asked in shock.
"I think so!" Sidon said, equally as baffled.
"That's gotta be him! Look how good his dive is!" Tulin chirped excitedly.
Mineru was in silent astonishment as to what was going on.
The viscious fight went on for what felt like a year, the fate of hyrule hanging in the balance in such a far away place, all they could do was hope. They sky turned red and the battle turned even fiercer, but soon, a blinding flash filled the sky and everyone was forced to cover their eyes.
When they were able to look back, there no dragons or man in sight, except, Tulin spotted to their south, two people falling at high speeds, heading towards a lake. They all rushed to the location as fast as they could, Riju hoped link would be safe.
