CH 38
That evening Mike showed up at Kate door, he knock on her door and waited. When the door open, Kate smile when she saw it was mike "Hey" Kate said letting mike in
"Hungry" he said as he kiss her
"I am, here"
she took the bags from him while he close and lock the door. Then he notice she was wearing a robe and her hair was slightly damp from a shower. Kate put the food on her desk then tun around to see mike sit on the bed so he could remove his shoes.
Kate walk over to him as he move the shoes to under the bed then straiten up to see Kate moving her legs to each side of his as she bend over to kiss him passionately then she push him till he was lying on the bed
"Kate what are you doing"
"This"
she undid her robe belt then she remove her robe and toss it onto her chair then she bend over and kiss him once again as she move her hands to his belt of his pants. Mike help Kate undid his belt and undid his pants pulling them and his under wear down.
Then she grab his hands as she move to sit on him then she put his hands on her legs as she lean over to kiss him. He rolled them both till he was lying on top. They made passionate love for over an hour.
Then Kate use the microwave to reheat dinner since mike was in bed watching her as he has his drink while they talk more about what happen this morning. When dinner was reheated Kate took the containers over and onto the bed then she got in as mike pick up two plastic forks, giving one to Kate.
"How did shopping go" Kate asked
"Good, I brought number of clothes for the kids"
"that good, how the kids"
"good they were happy to see me so I think tomorrow night I'll stay at mum and dad so I can spend time with them"
"Good idea. I was thinking of taking kids to Brisbane one weekend to see Connor" mike smile
"I like that idea Kate, can you wait for a month"
"sure let me know when you got shore leave and I'll arrange the bookings"
"Great I know grand dad will be shock to see us and I think we should try to see him more"
"mike what wrong"
"Dad talk to grand dad the other day, he said that grand dad sounded tired and he spoke to the manager of the rest home. Grand dad health isn't good as it was a year ago" Kate put her hand on mike arm
"We should he had a great life mike"
"I know he turns one hundred next year"
"you hopping that he will make it?"
"I think that what he wants to do to"
"He a Flynn of course he will make it" mike smile
"your right about that Kate" he lean over and kiss her.
After finishing dinner and messes clean up. They talk while Kate snuggling up to his side.
The next morning Kate and mike walk into the mess hall together. Mike got him self a cup of coffee while Kate got her breakfast then they walk over to a table where the other instructors are.
"Morning" Kate said
"Morning lieutenant, who this with you" one of the lieutenant commanders asked
"sirs, lieutenants this is lieutenant commander Mike Flynn captain of the HMAS Hammersley, who also my husband"
"Your mighty mike sir?" one of the lieutenant asked
"Yes I am lieutenant"
"I've heard a lot about you sir, and not just from your wife"
"Oh, what have you heard?"
"that your a cow boy when it comes to boardings"
"That is true and cause of that my crew able to not only get on board but also catch the criminals"
"i know sir"
"Did your wife tell you about yesterday morning" lieutenant commander asked
"Yes she told me what happen. I've notice lieutenant commander Black isn't here" Mike said
"Here he is now"
Mike and the others turn to see the lieutenant commander walking into the mess hall and over to where he get his breakfast. Mike turn away from him then turn to look at Kate while smiling
"Mike I know that look"
"do you now"
"Yes I do" she gave him a look which he knows all to well.
"don't worry Kate" He pick up half a piece of toast from her plate and bit into it while smiling
"I do worry" the others at the table watch them as they look at each other while giving each other sustain looks that they under stand.
Kate lean over and whisper some thing in mike ear as just just about to talk a mouthful of coffee when he stop then his exspresion change just as Kate return back to her breakfast. Mike turn to Kate
"you wouldn't" Kate turn and mike at him as she drink her coffee.
Then lieutenant commander Black walk over and sat down with his breakfast
"Your early princess perfect"
"no sir, did you have a late night out on the town sir"
"that none of your business lieutenant"
"Well then sir either you use a strong suction vacuum cleaner or some women loves sucking necks" they all look at the lieutenant commander. From where Kate is most of them could see a purple bruise mark on the lieutenant commander neck.
"that is none of your business lieutenant"
"Now you know what it like sir when you try to interfere with my private life, unlike you my husband doesn't leave hickeys on my neck where others can see them"
"I bet he rather suck on..."
"that enough lieutenant commander Black" Mike said in command tone as he lean ford turning his head to look at the lieutenant commander. Black look at Mike in shock, he didn't know that mike was there
"Lieutenant commander Flynn what a surprise seeing you here" he said with a smirk
"I heard that you like harassing female lieutenants when they say no to you when you ask them out lieutenant commander Black"
"Is that what princess perfect told you"
"I know all about you and what you been doing. I know for a fact that you have harass five other junior sailors and officers when they said no to you"
"Mike why didn't you tell me" Kate asked looking at him
"i was planing on telling you last night till you ask me to stay for coffee this morning"
"Next time tell me before hand" mike smile
"I will if not I know that I'll be in trouble with you"
"To right. When did you find out about the harassment?"
"I did some checking out after the last time I was here. It got on lieutenant commander file about the harassment against the five women. Four drop the charges against the lieutenant commander and the fifth, she died in a car accident two days after she made the complaint" Kate thought about it and turn to see the lieutenant commander Black looking at her with a smug look on his face, then she turn to mike.
"mike how long can you stay for"
"Why"
"We will talk after breakfast"
"ok" Mike and Kate talk to the ones at there table for another ten minutes before they left once Kate finish her breakfast.
When they walk out of the mess hall they walk back to the accommodation building and into Kate bedroom. "Kate what is it?"
"I would like for you to type up a report about what happen the night your surprise me" mike was shock as he watch Kate walk to her draws and open one, she pick up a file then close the draw
"Are you sure Kate why?"
"After what you told me about the other women and seeing the smug look on lieutenant commander face. I've decided to make the harassment complaint against him. I got to stop him from harassing others"
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"I do mike or other wise he will keep on doing it"
"Alright you know I'll back you up"
"i know" they hug and kiss.
"Use my lap top to do up the report I'll go and see commodore Curry"
"alright, I'll wait here till your return" he kiss her once more before she walk out of her room.
Mike sat down in the chair moving the lap top over till it was in front of him then he open it and turn it on.
Hour later Kate open the door and walk in closing the door behind her. Mike stop typing and turn to her. "what happen?" He asked
"commodore curry is going to investigate my claims. I told him that you writing up a report about what happen that night you surprise me"
"Ok so do you have any classes today?"
"This afternoon, so why you finish typing up the report, I'll do some paper work on the bed"
"Ok, I called mum and told her the situation, she under stands"
"Ok"
Kate pick up pill of papers and walk over and sat on her bed cross legged leaning against the head board while she dose her paper work. Mike return back to what he was doing for the next two hours.
When finish he use one of Kate pen drives to copy his report over then he remove the pen drive before shutting down. He got up and walk into the bathroom to use the loo. When he walk back into the room he walk over to the bed to see Kate looking at him
"I'll be back in about fifteen, twenty minutes to give you your pen drive back" Kate smile
"Ok" he lean over and gave her a kiss before walking out of Kate room. Kate return to what she was doing till mike return an hour later.
When he walk into Kate room, she look up from what she was writing on her note pad. "Every thing ok Mike" Mike sat on the bed close to Kate
"Yeah I spoke to commodore curry about what happen and gave him my report. We talk about what happen that night and gave him a list of names of who to talk to about that night and the instructors who we talk to this morning. He going to talk to them about the way black been harassing you and for how long it been going on for. I told him that other women have filed complaints against him"
"Ok."
"Kate let me know what happens will you"
"i will" Kate put her hand in to his.
"I'll head back to mum and dad's and leave you with your paper work" Kate smile
"Ok, give kids a hug and kiss from me"
"will do" they lean towards each other and kiss.
When they broke apart Mike stood up "See you next time I'm up this way"
"sure, I'll be looking ford to it" Kate said smiling.
"I know you will be, love you"
"love you to" Mike turn and walk out of Kate room closing the door behind him.
Kate let out her breath and return back to her paper work. Mike spent three days with his parents and kids before returning back to Cairns since Hammersley was due to leave for a three week patrol the next day.
Commodore Curry check out Kate harassment claim and spoke to other instructors who was at the same table for meals and the ones in the same accommodation black who heard and saw what happen the night mike surprise Kate.
They also did up reports about what happen just in case Kate did file harassment claims against lieutenant commander Black. When the commodore read all the reports, he called fleet command about the situation.
When Hammersley return back from it three week patrol the crew was looking ford to few days shore leave. Mike went to see Steve about the boardings that the crew done. When mike and Steve finish talking about the boarding, Steve asked
"How the XO Mike"
"He doing ok he knows and has been warn"
"Alright, now I received a call from your wife this morning"
"Kate" Mike look at Steve with a worry look on his face
"she ask me to pass a message on to you personally"
"Message"
"Yes she said... lieutenant commander Black received honor discharge from the navy after two lieutenants step ford after it happen to them" Mike smile as he sat back in his seat
"You know what she talking about mike"
"Yes I do... lieutenant commander Black been harassing Kate once a week since she been assign to Watson bay. But got worse when I showed up couple months ago and he found out that I'm Kate husband. He keep asking her out she turn him down saying no. He didn't like being told no so he start harassing her."
"Is that why in your last shore leave you did a back round check on the lieutenant commander?" Steve asked
"Yes he harass five other women who made complaints against him. Four drop the charges the fifth died couple days after the complaint. I told Kate about it"
"she made the complaint mike"
"Yes she told me she thought that she was the only one he harass not knowing that there was others and what you told me, it good to know that he can't harass any other female officers and junior sailors"
"that true, is there any thing else mike"
"No that all"
"Ok enjoy your shore leave"
"i will"
Mike walk out of Steve office and NAVCOM, he went home to have a long hot shower and pack his bag and sorted out his sea bag. He then call for a taxi since he was flying to Brisbane for a few days. While waiting for a taxi, Mike went through his mail till he saw the taxi show up through the security camera monitor that is in the office.
So he put his mail in a pile then he turn the monitor off after typing on the computer so it would show that a pass word is needed. Then he walk out of the office and to the front door where he pick up his bag as he open the front door and walk out side, he pass his bag to the taxi driver
"I'll be a minute"
"Yes sir" mike walk back in side closing and locking the front door.
Then he walk though the house to the back door where he turn the alarm on before walking out side closing and locking the doors. Then he walk around to the front of the house where he got into the taxi and headed to the air port.
Few hours later mike arrived in Brisbane. He got his bag and walk over to where the car rental is since Kate let him know that she hired a mini van with four car seats in it for there family. Once mike filled out the paper work and sign, the women past him the keys to the mini van.
"thank you" mike said before picking up his bag and walking towards the exit while the women made a call.
When Mike walk out side he walk down to where the rental cars are park. When he saw the mini van he was looking for he unlock the doors with key button on the key ring.
He open the boot of the van and put his bag in there then close the door then he walk around to the driver side, he look into the mini van to see the car seats there. When he got into the van he look around the van as he close the door and put his seat belt on then he put the key in the ignition then started it up then drove to the hotel since he knew where to go.
When he arrived at the hotel he went up to the front desk to get key to the apartment that Kate book for them and there kids. Mike check out the paper work then he sign it. Once done and check the women pass him a key that got the room number on it. Mike pick up his suite case then walk to the elevators.
Couple minutes late Mike walk into the apartment hotel room. He look around the room as he close the door behind him. He walk through the room checking each room.
The first room he saw two queen size beds in it, so he walk over to another door and look in to see one super king size bed so he walk in putting his suite case on the bed then he walk over to a door and look in to see it was an on suite.
He walk out of the bedroom and check the rest of the apartment out before going into the kitchen to make him self a drink.
The next day when Kate finish class for the day, she return back to her room and got change then she pick up her bag which was already pack and left for the weekend.
When she arrived at Paul and Alice place she gave them a hug and spoke to them for a minute then she went to sort out her bag and the kids while they sleeping. When they woke up they were happy to see Kate. She help them to the loo and getting dress before leaving the bedroom. Kate spoke to them the whole time.
They looking ford to seeing Mike since they hardly seen him in the past few months. Kate and Paul help put the kids in the wagon and into there car seats. Paul was driving them and Kate to the air port. Kate give Alice a hug
"Enjoy your weekend Kate"
"We will Alice, you and Paul can relax this weekend"
"We will, give Mike a hug from me"
"will do"
Kate got into the passenger seat and close the door while Alice wave to the kids just as Paul back down the drive way just as Kate put her seat belt on. When they arrived at the air port Paul help Kate carry the kids bags into the terminal as well keep and eye on kids who looking ford to seeing Mike as well being on the plane.
"Kids stick close to grand father and me ok" Kate said to them
"Why mummy" Grace asked
"Cause we don't want any thing bad happen to you"
"mummy I'm hungry" Patrick said which made Kate smile
"Soon as we on the plane you can have a biscuit until then you can wait for few minutes"
"Ok mummy" Kids smile when Kate said the word biscuit.
They all walk into the terminal and up to the counter where Kate was sorting out the tickets and bags while Paul keep an eye on the kids. When done Kate turn to kids
"come on we don't want to be late for our flight"
Grace and Mary held on to Kate hands while Connor and Patrick held on to Paul hands since it was busy at the air port. Paul follow Kate to the double doors that lead out to where the plane is.
"mummy are we going on that plane?" connor asked as he pointed to the plane
"I think so sweetie" Kate and Paul talk for ten minutes till they heard over the PA System about the boarding to Brisbane.
"that us" Kate said
"Enjoy your weekend Kate"
"We will Paul" they both hug then he crouch down to give kids a hug
"You kids be good"
"We will grand dad" He stood up and look at Kate once more
"Enjoy your grand kids free weekend" Paul laugh
"Oh Alice and I love having them but it good to have a brake every now and then"
"that true, we better go"
"alright take care"
"We will" then she look down at her kids
"come on kids, your dad looking ford to seeing us"
"Bye grand dad" kids said as they wave there arms at him then they walk with Kate out the double doors
"Grace, Mary hold onto my hand, Patrick, connor hold on to your sisters hands" Kate said.
They held onto each other hands while Kate held on to Mary and Grace hands as they walk towards the plane. Kate let the kids go up the steps first with her behind them The two stewardess smile as they watch kids walk up the steps till they were on the plane.
They stop and turn to see Kate behind them. Kate show the stewardess the five tickets then she pointed out where their seats are. Kate thank her then she turn to her kids
"This way kids" Kate turn them one direction then they walk slowly down the isle till Kate stop
"Here kids" They stop and turn to her.
"In here" Kate put Grace and Mary first then she walk in then turn to the boys to see them following Kate till she stops.
She help Grace into her seat then Mary. She made sure that they were buckle in. then she turn around to do the boys. Once they were buckled in Kate sat down and buckled into her seat. Then she got her cell phone out and send a text to mike. Once it was sent she turn it off and put it back in her pocket. Kate talk to her kids till it was time for plane to take off.
Once in the air Kate unbuckle her's and kids seat belts. Then she turn the TV on and turn it to kids channel then she pick up the head sets and put it over there heads so they could hear as they watch the TV show. Kate then got her book out and open it to read.
Few minutes later a stewardess stop where Kate and kids are. "would you or kids like some thing to drink" Stewardess asked
"Yes thanks, five orange juices"
"Sure would kids like a chocolate biscuit"
"Yes they would thanks."
Kate set up kids tray while the stewardess took care of the drinks and biscuits. She pass drinks and biscuits to Kate so she could give them to Patrick and Connor.
"connor, Patrick what do you say to the lady" Kate said when she remove there head sets
"thank you"
"your welcome" she said then she gave Grace and Mary drink and biscuit
"Mary, Grace what do you say?" Kate look at her daughters
"thank you" they said smiling
"your welcome" the stewardess said then she pass Kate her drink
"thank you"
"How old are you children if you don't mind me asking"
"Three and half years old"
"All of them"
"Yes, quads"
"wow they must be a handful" Kate laugh
"some days they can be"
"Your husband?"
"We meeting him in Brisbane, he station up in Cairns and I'm station in Sydney, we both in the navy"
"Navy it must be hard being apart"
"It is, but we treasure every moment we have together"
"That good to know, enjoy"
"thank you" then the stewardess move the trolley down to the next row of seats.
Kate look at her kids as they enjoy eating there biscuit and having there drink. Kate drink her drink and return back to her book. She check on kids every now and then. When they needed to go to the loo they let Kate know so she takes who ever needs to go to the loo then return back to there seat. When the plane landed Kate waited till the other passengers walk off first then she and kids walk off the plane with kids waving to the stewardess while smiling at them, the stewardess wave back while smiling as well.
"It a shame that all kids aren't like them" one stewardess said
"that so true, they well mannered and polite" another one said
"Yeah"
