Chapter 20 – Luke Sr. & Luke Jr.
Ines and Luke looked at each other. Then Ines, remembered she also felt something that time.
"Ben, so your panic look was because of that? Cause I felt something too, that I couldn't explain at the time. But I felt fear, but not for me."
"I'm not surprise you felt that, Ines. You and Luke were at the beginning of being very connected." Ben explained to her.
Luke looked at his old master, and decided to ask him something that was on his mind, since he found out that was an Inquisitor, and not a Tusken Raider.
"Ben, there is something I don't understand. How that Reva Inquisitor found out about me and how she knew my Uncle?" Luke asked, smiling when his baby son, just opened his eyes and wanted to sit down, gaining a kiss on the top of his head from his father.
"Well let's say she had a little bit of a confrontation with your Uncle back in Anchorhead," Obi Wan informed him, making Ines gasped at that.
"Wait, are you telling me, that Luke's uncle confront an Inquisitor?" she said surprised, making Ben nod at her. "Why?"
"Like I said before, the Inquisitors were hunting the last survivor Jedi across the galaxy. And apparently they got the information that a Jedi was hiding here on Tatooine."
"You?" Luke asked him.
"No. It was another Jedi, named Nari. They were hunting him."
"How do you know?" Ines asked but deep inside, she already knew the answer.
"He asked me for help and I told him to move on. To buried his lightsaber and hid, just like I was doing."
"Did they catch him?" she asked, making Ben looked her. She didn't need him to answered her, as she looked at her husband. He too, knew what the answered was.
"But why my Uncle got that confrontation with that Inquisitor?"
"Reva, along side with another Inquisitor, were asking about the information of that Jedi. And somehow, your uncle got her attention. She threat him with her lightsaber."
"What happened?"
"The other Inquisitor had enough of that, and they walked away saying that if anyone had an information to tell them."
Ines looked at Alli, who was already fall asleep, with her head on her lap.
"But, how she got to Luke?"
"Yes, why she tried to kill me? And how did she found out?" Luke wanted to know too.
Looking at Luke and then to Ines, Ben started to speak.
"When you and Leia were in the vent, I knew I had to do something to give you girls time to find the problem, so my idea was to give myself in."
Ines looked at him and then to Luke.
"You really follow your master's steps," she told him.
"As I was saying, I couldn't go in with my stuff, cause I knew they would search me. So I gave my lightsaber, my blaster and my comlink to Haja."
"Ben, to Haja! Really?"
Luke looked at him.
"Comlink?"
"I had received message minutes before from Bail Organa. I told him no communications, for obvious reasons, but since he didn't hear anything from me, of course he was concern and sent me a message, where he told that if we didn't make it, then he would head here to help your Uncle with you."
Ines gasped when she heard that.
"Are you telling me, that if we didn't make it, he would help raise Luke?"
Ben nod, making Ines sighed. In a way she knew what her godfather and father were feeling during that time.
"But what the comlink had to do with that Reva Inquisitor?" Luke asked.
"He lost it, didn't he?" Ines said right away.
"Apparently when we were all getting towards the ship, to escape the hangar, he drop it," Ben explained to her, which made Ines frown.
"How did he know he drop it?" she asked him, but before Ben could answer, she gasped. "Wait, he saw the comlink fell on the ground?"
Once again Ben nod.
"And he didn't pick it up?!"
"Ines, we were in a big rush, everyone wanted to get to the ship as soon as possible, and he was in panic."
"Ben, you gave him that, so he could hold it. If I saw that comlink fell, I would pick it up, especially because it wasn't mine."
"But that is you babe," Luke talked. "We know how important that comlink was. He probable didn't."
"Whatever," she sighed. "I guess Reva found it and listen the message. Imagine if it was Vader, finding out that message?"
"I understand. And yes, finding out that message, it put Luke in danger, which it did." Ben said looking at Luke.
"And she went after him? For what?" Ines asked.
"She thought that killing Luke was a way to seek justice. Vader killed the only family she knew, so killing his child would be fair."
"I get it, but at the time he didn't know about me or Leia," Luke said looking at Ben.
"I think she didn't thought about that. She wanted revenge."
"Which in the end, she didn't went through, cause my husband is here."
Ben looked at them.
"Well she made a choice at the end, and she choose the light. Deep inside she was not bad, even if she did horrible things. But everyone has good in them. You more than everyone, knows that Luke."
Luke nod. He understood what Obi Wan was saying.
"What happened to her?" He asked him.
"She move on," he answered.
After a minute of silence, where the 3 adults looked at the kids who were already asleep, with the exception of little Luke, who was now very much awake, Ines looked at Ben.
"Ben, what happened after you left the transport. Between you and Vader?"
"I will tell you everything, but I will wait until you two finish your part of your story. I think it is done for today."
"Yeah, we need to put these to sleep and we need to rest too," Luke said smiling.
"May The Force be With You," Ben said before he vanish.
"I will go to our bedroom and change the diapers of this one," Luke told Ines.
"I'll be there in a second." Ines said.
After changing his baby's son diaper, because it was a hot night, he decided to let the baby only on his diapers, at least for a while. Laying in bed with his pajama bottoms, he looked at his 8 months son, who was sitting in the bed, but once is a while he would crawl all over it, making Luke watching him closely, since he didn't want the baby fall from the bed.
"Someone is feeling better already," he said smiling, making the baby looked at his father, and babbling, Luke Jr crawled back towards his father and pressed his little hands on his chest.
"Bemakuyhbgshhfjksd," he said.
"Really? You think so?" Luke started laughing.
Looking at his father, the baby nod.
"Hjuguujjvfsodiejjkj."
"Yeah, Dada is making exercise. Mama loves Dada abs."
"Yuggyuljarelkffdldsmamjdj" the baby said tapping his hands on his father's chest.
"When you get older I will teach you too." he laughed when the baby looked at his belly and grabbed it with his little hands and look at his father he giggled.
"Panmshtbbbbbbhsjjmkk."
"You have a little tummy too," Luke said as the baby lay on the bed next to him and started to bounce his legs and arms. "And Dada can do this."
And pressing his lips on the baby's tummy, Luke started to make noises on it, making little Luke laugh out loud, every time his father made noises.
Laughing too, Luke looked at his baby and kissed his little cheeks.
"Dada loves you so much, my sweet little Luke."
Grabbing his father's cheeks, the baby smiled at him
"Da da da da!"
"That is right, I'm your dada." Luke smiled at him.
"What is going on here? I thought he was sleeping already, but I see someone decided to play a little," Ines said, as she walked inside the room, and putting her nightgown, she lay in bed and smiled when her little baby, rolled on his left and immediately grabbed her nightgown and started to pull it towards him, at the same time he looked inside, making Luke laughed.
"I think I know what he wants and why he was so awake. He is waiting for his meal," he said and reaching his son, Luke told as he looked at his wife. "I know, they are very delicious and amazing to play with."
"Luke!" Ines said with her eyes wide, as she sat down and adjust the baby on her lap, starting to suck on her left breast right away.
"What? I didn't lie. I love them too. A lot," he winked and approaching he took her lips on his in a deep kiss, while the baby looked at them.
"Your uncle was a very brave man. Confront an Inquisitor, to protect you and also Ben."
"They both were. They did everything to keep me safe. My Uncle and my Aunt."
"They both love you. Your Uncle may had a different way to show, but of course he loved you. He did everything to protect you from the Empire. And I'm glad our baby has his name as well." she said looking at her baby, who was looking at her while sucking her breast.
"I wonder what happened between Ben and my Father?"
"Me too. I remember when he was about to leave and his face showed he was scared. But we will find out soon enough and also, I want to hear your part too, my belt speeder breaker," she said smiling making Luke lay in bed and giggled.
"Very funny."
After a having his little stomach full, Ines lay the baby between them. They decided to leave him on his diapers, since he was feeling comfortable like this. Giving his pacifier, the baby grabbed it and putting in his mouth, soon his eyes started to close. Pulling the sheet above them, they also decided it was time for a good night sleep.
Now Luke and Ines know how Reva got to Luke. And what did you guys think of the little moment between father and son?
