Star Wars: Cross Paths Part 3

Chapter 25 – Luke and Ines

"Did your father know who my uncle was?" Luke asked Ines.

Ines looked at him while she put the pieces of fruit in Alli and Padmé's plate.

"Well, at the time I didn't think about it. But now that I think of it, I believe he knew who your uncle was. After all Bail did said if we were lost, he would head here to help your uncle with you, right?" she asked looked at Obi Wan.

"They knew him of course. Not in person, but of course they knew where Luke was. Your uncle didn't know Bail or Ken."

"Well until I couldn't stop talking about Ines," Luke said laughing, who made baby Luke laughed imitating his father. "Are you imitating me, mister?" he asked him with a smile on his face.

"Babubmijbokjj" the baby replied.

"Here take your chewing toy. Enjoy drooling all over it," he said kissing his little son forehead.

"What happened next?" Anakin asked.

"Well my father started to pull me right away, and I never saw him so upset at me," she replied to her father in law.

"So you didn't know it was dad?" Ben asked her.

"No, I didn't realize that."

"Me neither. Even if my Uncle also said we needed to leave. Even my aunt didn't understood what was going on. Unless he told her after that," Luke said making sure his son didn't drop the toy he had on his little hands, and was happy chewing on it. The day before they notice a tooth coming out on his lower gums.

"What happened next?" Anakin asked them.

"We left Anchorhead and head to Alderaan, where I was grounded for sure," she said looking at her twins who giggled at that information, making her rolling her eyes.

"But Luke what happened between you and Reva? Your uncle never told me and when I got here, you were gone already, until Reva brought you back?" Obi Wan asked him.

Luke sighed. He knew everyone was eager to know what happened that day and night.

"Well I don't know much. My Uncle and Aunt lied to me, remember?" He said to looking at his old mentor.

"But how they knew Reva was after you?" Ines asked this time.

"I guess that what Dardin told him when he was in the mechanic shop," he replied.

"What do you mean?" Anakin asked his son.

"I went that day with my Uncle to the mechanic because we need a new belt for the speeder," he said, remembering that day.

Flashback

Anchorhead, Tatooine 9BBY

Owen Lars was walking down the roads of Anchorhead with his nephew Luke. They were heading to the local mechanic.

The moment they entered, Luke walked near the counter and smiled to the mechanic.

"Howdy," the owner said looking at the 10 years old boy, "What do you need, kid?"

"We need a new belt for the speeder," Luke said to him.

"A certain somebody broke the last one," Owen said looking at his nephew who giggled to the owner, who laughed at that information.

"Your uncle's a patient man," he said making Luke smiled at that.

"I Am not that patient," Owen said glare at Luke, who started to walking around watching the many things around.

Present Day

Anakin started to laughed at that.

"Now I know why the force put you two together and to whom my grandchildren look like."

"Very funny," Luke said rolling his eyes.

"The force knows what its doing," Obi Wan said.

"As I was saying, that's when Dardin appeared and they started to talk. And right after that, my Uncle started to get nervous and we left right away to the farm."

"I'm glad he at least warn you. Do you think she was asking information about where were you guys?" Ines asked.

"It is the only way."

"I'm not surprised. If he sold water, of course he would tell Owen about it. Those people need the moisture farmers to keep their business. I'm sure your uncle used to sold water to him," Obi Wan informed.

"So you didn't know what was happening, babe."

Luke looked at his wife and nod.

"No idea. I was in my bedroom and it was already dark when they came in it and they took me to the garage. And that's when my uncle told me about what was happening, which now I know it was not true," he said remembering that moment.

Flashback

Tatooine, 9BBY

Owen and Beru was heading Luke to the garage of the farm. The moment they reach inside, Owen crouch and looked at his 10 years old nephew.

"Now, Luke. I need you to listen to me," he started to say. "The Tuskens are on the hunt again. They're raiding farms along the wastes. So stay in here. If anything goes wrong, you know what to do. You run."

"I'm not afraid," Luke told him.

"I know. Everything's gonna fine."

Beru gave him a hug and smiled at the little boy.

"It's going to be okay."

And with that they left the garage and closing the door behind him, Luke stays alone in there.

Present Day.

"Poor baby," Ines said.

"Poor Papa," Alli said too, making the adults smile at that.

"So they lied to protect you," Anakin said.

"Yes. I thought it was the Tuskens. I never saw that Reva." Luke nod. "I heard noises and then my aunt came in and informed to started to climb up if they entered the room, so that's what I did, and started to run towards the canyon nearby."

"And she reached you," Obi Wan said.

"I tried to hide, but I slip and fell and got unconscious. When I woke up, I was in my bed with my aunt by my side."

"You didn't slip. She use the force to make you fell. I felt that and when I got here, your uncle and aunt were calling your name. I was ready to look for you too, but Reva brought you back," Obi Wan explain.

"She was not that bad after all," Ines said.

"No, she was not."

"What happened to her?" Anakin asked.

"She moved on. We all did to be honest," Obi Wan smiled looking at Ines and Luke and the kids.

"Everything went well in the end. Leia and I got back to Alderaan. Luke was fine in the end, and you continue to be here watching over him."

"Yes. Even if I told that the future would take care of itself about Luke, but I knew everything would be fine, because I knew you two would be together."

"And you were right," Luke said.

"And 9 years later everything began," Ines said.

"That's right." Obi Wan nod.

Then Luke jr started to whimp.

"I guess he need a diaper change," Ines smiled and standing up, she picked her baby. "It was nice to have you here. Appear more often."

"Yes grandpa. Please," Padmé said pouting while looked at her grandfather, which made Anakin laughed.

"I can't say no to that face. Man you look like your grandmother right now."

"I'm Padmé, like her," the little girl jump happy.

"I know," he said winking at his granddaughter. "Behave okay. See you later."

"I'm going too and I know I will say I once in a while too," Obi Wan winked at the kids and also vanish.

"Well how about helping Papa here before go to bed?" Luke said, laughing when the little girls started to grab the plates, since they loved to do that.

"I will put this little one to bed too. Right?" she said looking at her baby and head to the bedroom.

Ines was already on her bed. It was around 1 am, and they heard one of the girls calling them. She knew for sure it was Alli, who wanted to go the bathroom. After all their little girl drank a glass of water before going to bed.

Covering her naked body, she smiled when Luke entered in the bedroom, and removing his robe, he got under the covers.

"Let me guess she wanted to pee," she laughed when Luke nod laughing too.

"Glad she waited until we finished having some fun, right?" He asked, pulling her closer to him, and while running his fingers through her long brown hair, he started kissing her left shoulder, going to her neck.

"Luke…" she moaned.

Luke smiled

"So you thought I was cute when I was young," he started, making Ines looked at him. "You don't have your shields down, so I can read your minds," he winking. "You didn't answer. You thought I was cute."

"I think you are cute right now, so of course I thought that too. I just wished I knew it was you the kid of my dreams, cause if I knew I would do anything to make sure to find you and talk to you that day."

Luke smiled and kissed her lips gently.

"I wish that too. I would make sure to count the days and years until I could see you again."

"But we did 8 years later," she smiled at him, running her left fingers on his blond hair.

"But only 3 years later that I finally had you in my arms and I would never letting you go."

"You bet you won't, Skywalker. Who knew that when we saw each other as kids, we would be like this, in your old farm, and with 4 beautiful kids," she looked at him with a smile.

"Well not according to our Alli, remember?" he laughed.

"Do you really think we will have one more kid?"

"Never underestimate the power of the force, besides I don't mind for another little girl. After all sooner or later, I will stop be their favorite guy in the galaxy," Luke pouted making Ines laughed.

"Well you will always be my favorite guy in the galaxy."

"I better be," he said and rolled on top of her making her laughed. "Cause I want to continue to have some fun with you forever, and be able to do this as long as we can."

"Me too. I love you," Ines said.

"I love you more." and leaning he kissed her deeply before they fall asleep in each other names.

Luke already told his part of the story and next chapter the Solos will be back.
