Konoha X771,
The sun rose over the village of Konoha, signalling the start of a new day. The bustling streets were filled with villagers going about their daily tasks, tending to the farms, managing the industries, and engaging in various occupations. Meanwhile, within the palace walls, preparations were in full swing for an important event.
Sasuke Uchiha was returning from his journey to the Ishgar continent, bringing with him essential supplies and crucial information. Two months ago, he had informed the council about a rare sighting of a black Phoenix, a creature that hadn't been seen in the village for nearly 300 years. The news had ignited both curiosity and excitement among the villagers, who eagerly awaited the arrival of Sasuke and the information he had gathered. The last time a Phoenix had made an appearance, it had heralded a prophecy that had come true, leaving a lasting impression on the villagers.
Amid the anticipation and preparations, Naruto strode confidently across the water's surface. His unique power allowed him to accomplish this feat effortlessly. Balancing tri-pronged Kunais on different parts of his body, he demonstrated his impressive skills. Observing him with curiosity was Seliah Uchiha, a young girl with flowing black hair, deep black eyes, and fair, flawless skin. Dressed in a battle kimono, she watched Naruto intently.
Determined to emulate Naruto's abilities, Seliah attempted to walk on water but found herself on the verge of stumbling. At that moment, Naruto appeared in a burst of yellow, extending a helping hand to steady her.
"You love to show off, don't you?" Seliah remarked, a touch of envy in her voice. "I wish I could learn those incredible powers like you. Instead, my mother has me engaged in repetitive exercises."
Naruto's chest swelled with pride, a smug grin spreading across his face. "Well, I am the senior here. You only discovered your magic last year, so it's only natural for you to go through those exercises, just like I did. Once you master them, you'll be as awesome as me. But hey, you have that unique power to make others work for you, right?"
Seliah studied Naruto for a moment before bursting into laughter. His attempt to act serious struck her as endearing and amusing.
"You're quite cute when you try to act like a grown-up," Seliah giggled, her eyes sparkling with mirth.
Naruto's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Hey, I'm not trying to act like a grown-up! I'm a big boy, and I'm not cute... I mean, I am... um... what?" he sputtered, his words trailing off.
"Do you mean handsome, like the princes in the stories my mother reads to me?" Seliah inquired, leaning closer to Naruto, her curiosity piqued.
Naruto's response wavered for a moment, his lack of experience in matters of compliments and adjectives evident. However, he decided to trust Seliah's judgment.
"I suppose so," he replied tentatively, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.
A mischievous smile played on Seliah's lips. "Well, you're handsome, but you're also cute. You're like a prince to me," she declared playfully.
Naruto's expression twisted into a slight pout. "Seliah, can you please stop with the prince thing? It's just... weird. People don't usually call each other that way, dattebayo!" he protested, his hand instinctively covering his mouth due to his verbal tic.
Seliah, undeterred by Naruto's reaction, persisted. "But it suits you, don't you think? You're always there to help me, like a true prince would be," Seliah pointed out, her eyes sparkling with sincerity.
Naruto sighed, realizing that Seliah's words came from a place of genuine admiration. He couldn't deny the warmth he felt in his heart from her appreciation.
"Well, if you really think so..." he muttered, his cheeks slightly tinged with a blush.
As the laughter between Naruto and Seliah filled the air, a sudden sound of giggling interrupted their conversation. They turned their heads, curious about the source of the amusement, and found their mothers standing there, hands covering their mouths as they struggled to stifle their laughter. Kushina and Mikoto exchanged mischievous glances, thoroughly amused by their children's interaction.
"Oh my, don't they make an adorable pair, Kushina?" Mikoto remarked, her eyes twinkling with mirth.
Naruto's brows furrowed in annoyance, a distinct tick mark forming on his forehead. He had grown tired of being called cute throughout the day. On the other hand, Kushina wore a slightly different expression, her tick marks a result of the protective instinct that arose whenever the possibility of her son being involved with someone was brought up.
"Nah, I don't!" Naruto protested, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and defiance.
"They really don't!" Kushina chimed in, adding her emphatic declaration.
The Uchiha women chuckled at the pair's synchronized denial, finding amusement in their shared stubbornness. However, Mikoto couldn't resist teasing Naruto a little further, her eyes glinting mischievously.
"But Naruto-kun, why did you say 'I don't'? Do you think Seliah is cute then?" Mikoto asked, her voice dripping with playful curiosity.
Naruto, oblivious to the implications of Mikoto's question, responded without a second thought. "Well, yeah. I mean, she can be adorable at times. But I'm not cute! I'm going to join the official ANBU Corps this time, not the unofficial practice one!" Naruto declared confidently, his mind filled with visions of thrilling missions and adventures in far-off lands.
Seliah's eyes lit up with excitement at the prospect of accompanying Naruto and her big brother on his journeys. However, the excitement wasn't mirrored in the expressions of the two mothers. Kushina's brows furrowed with worry, her concern for her son surfacing.
"Sochi-kun, do you want to leave your kaa-chan behind? What will I do without my baby boy by my side? And how will I enjoy my ramen without you, huh?" Kushina asked, her voice tinged with a mix of worry and sadness. She couldn't bear the thought of Naruto venturing into the outside world alone. In her eyes, he was still her young, precious son who needed her guidance and protection.
Sensing the gloom settling upon them, Mikoto swiftly changed the topic, diverting their attention to a more cheerful subject. "Speaking of Sasuke-kun, why don't we prepare to welcome him? He must be eager to reunite with his otouoto and imouto after being away for so long, don't you think?"
The mention of Sasuke's imminent return instantly brightened the atmosphere. Naruto and Seliah's faces lit up with broad smiles, their eyes filled with anticipation. They nodded in agreement, their excitement palpable, as they made their way toward the palace, eager to welcome their beloved older brother back home.
In the depths of the ocean, hidden from the sight of the guards of Konoha, an army of Alvarez mages lurked. Their presence remained concealed until it was too late for the unsuspecting village. Izumo and Kotetsu, the eternal guards of Konoha, had grown complacent in their watch, unaware of the impending danger approaching their shores.
On that seemingly ordinary day, the guards' boredom had reached its peak. They longed for action, a break from their monotonous routine. Little did they know that their wish was about to be granted most unexpectedly and devastatingly.
A small boat, barely visible in the distance, gradually made its way toward the island from the direction of the Ishgar continent. Izumo and Kotetsu's attention was drawn to the lone figure aboard the vessel. Clad in a white cloak and possessing unmistakable black eyes, it was none other than Sasuke Uchiha, the youngest pillar of their village.
However, something felt off. The familiar signature of Sasuke's magic now carried a vile and sinister presence. Ignoring the unsettling sensation, they dismissed it as a mere consequence of his intense training or the lingering influence of his sensei.
Their complacency proved to be their downfall. As the boat drew closer to the shore, a sudden distortion in their sensing radar caught them off guard. Sasuke had wielded his powers to manipulate their senses, causing them to overlook the area behind him, shrouding it in a cloud of confusion.
Realizing their oversight, panic gripped Izumo and Kotetsu. In a desperate attempt to regain clarity, they performed a synchronized technique known as "sensing sight." Their hands intertwined, and they formed intricate hand signs, a symbol of their unity and shared resolve.
With horror-filled eyes, they sensed the presence of thousands of magical signatures emerging from beneath the water's surface. A wave of terror washed over them as they realized the enormity of the impending threat. They hastily activated the war ring, sounding the alarm throughout the village, summoning Konoha's defences to the action.
The village was not lacking in skilled mages adept in combat, but the overwhelming odds stacked against them made their efforts futile. The enemy army, twenty times their numbers, advanced relentlessly, their reinforcements on the way. Konoha's reliance on the barrier that shielded them from the outside world had left them ill-prepared for such an assault.
Undeterred, every villager donned their Anbu gear and resolved to fight to the last breath. Fugaku, the village's commander, led from the front lines, his presence inspiring a glimmer of hope. Konoha's mages unleashed their unique magics, launching coordinated attacks and combining their powers to devastating effect. Giants towered, shadows ensnared, and magic was drained with powerful seals embedded along the shoreline.
Yet, the tide of battle began to turn as Sasuke breached the barrier, a harbinger of chaos. With a single stroke, he decimated the entire barrier squad, allowing the enemy army to push through the primary defence line with little resistance. Overwhelmed by sheer numbers, the Konoha mages found themselves at a disadvantage.
Commanding officers fell one by one, their loss striking a blow to the morale of the Konoha forces. The betrayal of their pillar had shattered their trust, and now they faced not only an invading army but the weight of their doubt.
In the darkest hour, hope emerged as the first rays of dawn bathed the battlefield. A streak of yellow flashed across the sky, bringing with it a surge of renewed spirit. "Minato-sama!" voices cried out in relief. The Fourth Hokage had arrived, his presence as a beacon of salvation.
Whispers of confidence spread among the Konoha mages as they witnessed Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash, weaving through the chaos with unparalleled speed and precision. His mastery over the Flying Thunder God Technique was a sight to behold as he eliminated enemy mages with swift and deadly efficiency.
With Minato's arrival, a flicker of optimism ignited within the hearts of Konoha's defenders. The words "We are saved!" echoed through the ranks, accompanied by a renewed determination to fight. The villagers rallied around their revered leader, knowing that his unparalleled skill and strategic brilliance would turn the tide of battle.
Beside Minato, Fugaku Uchiha, the stoic and revered commander, unleashed his formidable powers. His Sharingan eyes blazed with intensity as he engaged in a fierce exchange of jutsu with high-ranking enemy mages. The combination of Minato's speed and Fugaku's prowess struck fear into the hearts of their adversaries, casting doubt upon the invaders' hopes of victory.
The battlefield became a maelstrom of magic and mayhem. Konoha's mages fought with unwavering resolve, launching counterattacks and deploying their most devastating techniques. The air crackled with elemental chakra as fire clashed with water, the earth shook beneath the weight of colossal constructs, and lightning crackled through the sky, leaving trails of destruction in its wake.
Amidst the chaos, the Konoha defenders spared no effort to protect their loved ones. Mothers shielded their children, fathers stood firm in defence, and the unity of the village became their greatest strength. Even the civilians, untrained in the arts of combat, lent a helping hand, evacuating the most vulnerable to safety. They refused to let fear consume them, their determination fueled by the unwavering belief in their village's indomitable spirit.
Yet, the enemy was relentless. For every foe felled, it seemed two more took their place. The odds remained stacked against Konoha, testing the mettle of every warrior. The streets of the village, once filled with laughter and joy, now bore witness to the grim reality of war.
During the fierce battle, a sense of urgency gripped the hearts of the defenders. The invaders, realizing the vulnerability of the escape routes, targeted the fleeing children and vulnerable civilians. The village's forces were stretched thin, forced to make impossible choices as they prioritized the defence of their homeland.
The wails of anguish and the clash of steel resounded through the air, mingling with the cries of battle. Konoha's defenders fought not only to protect their village but to preserve the future of their loved ones. Their determination intensified, fueled by the sacrifices made and the realization that failure was not an option.
As the sun climbed higher in the sky, casting its warm light over the battlefield, a glimmer of hope emerged. Konoha's indomitable spirit, forged through trials and adversity, burned brighter than ever. The village stood united, their resolve unbreakable, as they pushed back against the encroaching darkness.
The battle raged on, the outcome hanging in the balance, but within the hearts of Konoha's warriors, a fierce determination surged. They would not allow their beloved village to fall. They fought for their families, their friends, and their cherished way of life.
In the face of overwhelming odds, they stood tall, their spirits unwavering. For as long as there were shinobi who believed in the Will of Fire, Konoha would endure. The echoes of their battle cries reverberated through the battlefield, a testament to their unwavering resolve.
And so, the war-torn village of Konoha continued its struggle, their valiant efforts etched into the annals of history, as they fought for the survival of their village and the ideals it represented. The intensity of the conflict grew with each passing moment, the clash of magic and the resounding echoes of combat becoming the symphony of their determination.
At the Palace,
As Naruto and Seliah reached the entrance of the palace, their anticipation turned to dread as the piercing toll of the war bell reverberated through the air. The once lively village of Konoha now descended into chaos and panic. The ANBU Corps and other skilled warriors swiftly took their positions, fortifying the village against the impending enemy attack.
Kushina and Mikoto rushed towards their children, their expressions filled with concern. They hurriedly led Naruto and Seliah towards the emergency exit tunnel inside the palace, a hidden passage reserved for dire situations such as this. The urgency in their mothers' voices was palpable.
"Naruto, Seliah, stay together and don't wander off. This is an enemy attack, and you must remain safe," Mikoto instructed, her tone serious and resolute. She disappeared into the palace, making her way towards the basement stairs that were accessible only to the royal family.
Kushina, her eyes shining with a mix of worry and determination, turned to Naruto. "Sochi-kun, listen carefully. We will ensure your escape. Follow the path to Ishgar and wait for us in one of the nearby settlements. Promise me you'll stay safe," she commanded, her maternal instincts driving her to protect her son at all costs.
Naruto nodded, his heart pounding with a mixture of fear and determination. He understood the gravity of the situation and the need to obey his mother's instructions. As explosions reverberated and cries of anguish filled the air, he hurriedly descended the stairs, his mind racing with the horrors unfolding outside.
As Naruto and Seliah approached the barrier protecting the secret exit for the citizens of Konoha, a thunderous explosion rocked the palace. A colossal dragon made of crackling lightning burst through the walls, shattering the fortress-like fragile glass.
"Well, well, well, isn't she a charming little magic user? Perfect for our plans!" a sinister voice echoed through the air, a blend of both feminine and masculine tones. The ground beneath the fleeing citizens opened up, swallowing them mercilessly.
The sight sent shockwaves through the crowd, particularly affecting Naruto and Seliah. They had never witnessed such carnage and death before, their young minds were unable to comprehend the magnitude of the tragedy unfolding before their eyes.
"Hmm, that boy possesses Zeref-sama's magic. Could he be the host of the first demon? We should eliminate him and claim the second true magic user for ourselves!" another voice sneered, its words laced with menace. All eyes turned toward Sasuke Uchiha, who stood atop a statue, his gaze cold and his eyes blazing crimson.
The royal family, their hearts pounding with disbelief, watched Sasuke's transformation with a mix of shock and concern. It was evident that he was under the control of a powerful entity, a demon capable of manipulating even the master of manipulation himself.
Mikoto quickly shielded Seliah from view, her protective instincts kicking in. "Stay behind us, both of you. When the time comes, run and don't look back," she instructed, her voice filled with a potent mixture of determination and worry.
Tears welled up in Seliah's eyes as she witnessed the cold, distant gaze of her beloved brother. The warmth and affection that usually radiated from him were replaced by an unsettling emptiness. Fear gripped her heart, terrified that she might never see him smile like that again, or worse...
Naruto refused to succumb to despair. "Don't worry. We can defeat whoever is controlling Sasuke-san. Once he's on our side, we can turn the tide against the enemy," Naruto declared, his voice filled with conviction and determination.
Kushina, despite her growing unease, remained silent throughout the encounter. The notion that someone could control Sasuke, the Controller, seemed preposterous. How could anyone exert such influence over him? It was a concept she found difficult to comprehend.
Confidence flickered within her as she considered the possibility of facing Sasuke in battle. Individually, they were formidable, but together, she and Mikoto were nearly unbeatable. They would need to exploit any weakness Sasuke possessed, hoping that he hadn't reached his full potential.
However, it was the other demon in the room who posed the greatest threat. The fact that he could control someone as powerful as Sasuke sent a chill down her spine. The similarities in their magical signatures confirmed her suspicions, further raising her concerns about the demon's strength.
Yet, if it meant safeguarding Naruto's life, Kushina was prepared to give her all. She would not allow any harm to befall him or Seliah. Her gaze met Mikoto's, and a silent understanding passed between them. They would confront this unknown demon together, united in their determination to protect their loved ones.
As the front doors of the palace swung open, the aforementioned demon emerged, chuckling darkly. Kushina's eyes widened as she took in his appearance. He was a tall, young man with a moderately toned and muscular body. His pale complexion stood out, accentuated by unnaturally long, pointed nails stained a pale blue. His hair, either silver or a pale golden blond, was parted to his left, cascading around his face and curving backwards. One strand fell between his eyes, while the longer strands spiralled down his back. But it was his eyes that captivated attention—their mesmerizing rainbow pastel tones fading into one another as they encircled his irises.
While his appearance seemed less threatening, Kushina and Mikoto remained on high alert. They knew better than to underestimate their adversary, even for a moment.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" Kushina inquired warily, her voice tinged with caution.
"I am Switch, an Etherious and a loyal servant of Zeref-sama," the demon introduced himself, his voice laced with malevolence. "I am here to assist Zeref-sama's army, alongside Lord August, in destroying this supposedly indestructible land. We aim to eliminate the threat it poses to our lord's plans. And of course," he continued, pointing at Sasuke, "that handsome young man helped me find this place. He possesses great strength, but controlling him from afar proved challenging, hence my visit."
Kushina's patience wore thin as Switch's words echoed through the air. The time for talk had passed. She was ready to take action.
"Enough of this!" Sasuke interjected forcefully. Without warning, he lunged at the unsuspecting woman. Switch skillfully evaded the impending clash, ensuring a safe distance between himself and the impending battle.
Kushina swiftly drew her sword, Ascalon, preparing to parry Sasuke's strike. Blue sparks crackled as their weapons clashed, illuminating the air around them. A battle of master swordsmen unfolded, captivating the attention of Naruto and Seliah, who activated their ruby eyes to witness the rare spectacle in intricate detail.
Sasuke attempted a feigned attack, swiftly spinning on his heel to deliver a stab from the opposite side. However, Kushina's expertise in kenjutsu surpassed his own, and she deftly redirected his strike on a wide angle, exploiting the opening to land a powerful punch to his stomach. Her fists were adorned with golden chain-like bandages that sent him hurtling through the air, inflicting severe wounds upon him. However, Sasuke's resilience prevented him from being incapacitated by the blow. He managed to regain his footing, skidding to a stop near a nearby pillar.
In a desperate attempt to distract Kushina, Sasuke slashed at the pillar with Kusanagi, causing it to teeter precariously. To his advantage, the pillar toppled, aiming directly for the trio waiting behind. Mikoto, compelled to protect Naruto and Seliah, abandoned their side to assist Kushina in the fight.
Suddenly, the falling pillar was engulfed in blue flames that consumed it, transforming it into an icy-cold structure. Mikoto seized the opportunity, directing the burning pillar toward their other opponent. The demon, now with a predatory gleam in his eyes, anticipated the threat and leapt into the air, deftly avoiding the perilous cascade.
"Such a rude invitation, my lady. You could have simply invited me to the party," Switch sneered, his laughter dripping with malice. With a swift motion, he unleashed a grotesque creature upon Mikoto. The abomination possessed razor-sharp teeth and numerous mouths scattered across its grotesque surface. Poisonous droplets fell from its mouths, instantly melting the nearby rock upon contact with the ground.
Recognizing the imminent danger, both ladies regrouped and quickly formulated a plan. Their priority was to ensure the safety of the children.
"What should we do? Our primary focus is getting the kids out of here!" Kushina urgently asked, her voice laced with concern.
Mikoto, her stare hardened, responded without hesitation, "They won't let us escape easily. Their true aim is the children, so we must create a distraction or eliminate one of them, even if it means taking down our own flesh and blood." The realization that she might have to confront her son, Sasuke, filled Mikoto's heart with sorrow. Yet, she remained resolute, knowing that their lives depended on their actions. After all, they couldn't be certain if the real Sasuke still existed within that vessel.
Laughter erupted from Switch as he revelled in his twisted power, but his amusement was short-lived.
As a lightning hound, conjured by Sasuke, darted menacingly toward the children, Naruto instinctively positioned himself in front of Seliah, his hands outstretched to absorb the incoming lightning. Switch's analytical gaze locked onto Naruto, his curiosity piqued by the boy's ability to absorb elemental magic. The desire to understand it burned within him, feeling his determination. The demon contemplated the nature of this unique power, envisioning the potential it held. If he could harness it, perhaps he could even fulfil his eternal wish and slay Zeref-sama to fulfil his eternal wish.
He pondered the nature of such magic before attempting to snatch Naruto away. However, his assault was abruptly halted by a sudden kick delivered by a red stream that whizzed out of thin air in blinding haste.
Kushina, joining the fray, berated Switch, "Take up fights with someone your size!"
A fierce battle erupted between the four combatants, with both teams unleashing their full might without reservation.
Naruto and Seliah, determined to assist their mothers, employed their magical abilities to cast illusions upon the demon, aiding their allies in the fight. They understood that targeting Sasuke with their illusions would be futile.
Switch grew increasingly frustrated with his faltering judgment during the battle. He had yet to unleash his main curse, and both Kushina and Mikoto proved to be stronger adversaries than any he had faced before. However, Switch knew that August was still engaged with their strongest opponents. Time was of the essence, as he couldn't afford to remain locked in this struggle while August fought outside.
Sense tingling, Switch realized that August had released his full-powered bullet magic. The fact that these humans could push August to his limits astounded Switch. It dawned on him why Zeref-sama sought their demise—they possessed an intriguing power.
Determined to turn the tide, Switch decided to employ his curse, "The Field." In an instant, the flow of battle shifted dramatically. Kushina and Mikoto, once in control, found their attacks ineffective, while their opponents seemed to grow more powerful with each passing moment.
Realizing they were being pushed back, Kushina and Mikoto decided to unleash their ultimate techniques. Kushina called forth her "Chain Dragon: Infinite Explosions," as intertwining chains formed a colossal Chinese dragon exuding an ominous red glow from the Amaterasu Formula 100 adorning its joints.
"Frost-Flame: Hydra!" Simultaneously, Mikoto conjured a massive sea serpent of frost flames, its azure fire burning brightly, eyes gleaming with menace.
Both women announced their attacks as they charged toward their adversaries, but just as their assaults were about to connect, the dragon of chains and explosive spells collided with a massive, green humanoid structure.
"Susanno'o!"
In its manifested humanoid form, Susanno'o took on a menacing appearance, featuring a red tomoe at its chest. It unleashed a barrage of magic needles and lances at blinding speed, catching the women off guard. However, even Susanno'o displayed cracks under the overwhelming power of their combined magical trump cards.
"No way! He awakened the legendary Susanno'o! How is this possible?" Mikoto exclaimed, shocked by the emergence of this revered power.
"I don't know, but this is bad," Kushina murmured, her gaze fixed on Sasuke. He had likely exhausted at least half of his magic, and Susanno'o was known to consume vast amounts of power. The demon himself was not their primary concern; he served as a puppeteer, manipulating. So if Sasuke was defeated then their victory was highly probable.
Switch's hysterical laughter echoed through the battlefield, revelling in the perceived superiority of his curse. The power bestowed upon his puppet, Sasuke, was unleashed, dark and formidable. "See, isn't it great? My curse brings the true power of the one I control? Darkness truly is magnificent. I just made my bodyguard unlock his dark powers! Hahahah~" Switch laughed maniacally
The battlefield crackled with tension as Sasuke prepared to launch a devastating offensive. However, Mikoto, with unwavering determination, unleashed her ultimate technique, her "Ace spell." A strange twitch coursed through Sasuke's body, and the color drained from one of Mikoto's eyes. His once sharp gaze glazed over, while the majestic Susanno stood frozen in time, as if its very soul had been imprisoned within the depths of Mikoto's technique.
Shock rippled through the onlookers as they beheld this unexpected turn of events. Switch, the mastermind behind the chaos, stood dumbfounded, unable to comprehend the malfunctioning of his prized puppet. Meanwhile, Kushina's eyes widened in astonishment as she recognized the nature of Mikoto's technique.
'Why isn't his wretched soul responding! Has it escaped my imprisonment somehow?' For the first time since his arrival, a crease of worry etched itself in-between his eyebrows.
"Izanami holds no sway over this spatial manipulation of yours. My technique transcends the boundaries of reality itself, capturing time and soul within an unbreakable prison of self-correction," Mikoto croaked, her voice strained and labored, each word punctuated by blood seeping from her mouth.
While this confrontation unfolded, Switch's cursed creature seized the opportunity, bearing a strange book toward the unsuspecting Seliah, who watched with trepidation as her brother and mother fought valiantly despite their grave injuries.
As the creature opened the book's pages, a tremendous surge of black magic erupted from the outskirts of the village, engulfing the book's vibrant purple energy, reducing it to a state of calm stillness.
However, before any further developments could transpire, the unleashed energy recognized Seliah as its new vessel. Her form convulsed in unimaginable pain, undergoing a grotesque metamorphosis. Two golden horns sprouted from her forehead, casting an otherworldly aura, while a peculiar moon-shaped mark materialized above her brows.
Simultaneously, the unleashed energy lashed out at Switch, scorching his skin and forcing him to confront his impending demise. Knowing he couldn't afford to lose the true magic user nor succeed in slaying the blonde-haired brat, Switch made a resolute decision. In a final, desperate act, he propelled his own body into the sky with an explosive burst of power. But not before commanding his cursed creature to commence the macabre process of melting Sasuke's lifeless form.
Seliah's anguished screams rent the air as the foreign energy contorted and twisted her very being from within. Reacting swiftly, Naruto rushed to her side, desperate to alleviate her torment.
Seizing the opportunity, the grotesque creature lunged forward with Kusanagi, its intentions clear. Yet, Mikoto, sacrificing her own well-being, intercepted the blade, taking the full brunt of the attack upon her chest.
In that crucial moment, everything seemed to grind to a halt. Time itself appeared to slow down, wrapping Naruto in an aura of stillness. A searing pain coursed through Naruto's eyes as the unnatural glow they bore since birth intensified. But he cast aside the agony, choosing instead to catch Mikoto in his arms, her life essence slipping away as blood trickled from her lips.
While Seliah bore witness to this heart-wrenching scene, her own body wracked with unimaginable suffering, Kushina stood rooted in shock. But her bewilderment stemmed from a different reason altogether. Seliah, a girl she came to recognize as her own child, was being sealed within the confines of an ethereal book, forever lost to the realm of existence.
And that enigmatic spell witnessed earlier... its significance slowly dawned upon Kushina's mind. However, before she could fully grasp its implications, her attention wavered, failing to notice the grotesque creature extracting a glowing red orb-like substance from Sasuke's disintegrating form
Earlier at the frontlines,
The battleground lay clear, with only Fugaku and Minato standing resolute as they faced the formidable army that threatened their home village. Their backs pressed against each other, they prepared to unleash their powers to protect their loved ones and defend their land.
Fugaku, a master of fire magic, conjured forth the devastating "Great Fire Annihilation" technique. He deftly evaded the enemy mages' attacks, gracefully maneuvering across the water's surface as if it were solid ground. With four kunai clutched in each hand, he infused them with the power of wind magic, launching them towards the enemy forces. The kunai pierced through their skulls like paper, each explosion claiming the lives of multiple Alvarez soldiers aboard their submarines.
Across the battlefield, Minato, a water magic prodigy, unleashed a torrent of senbons, slicers, and dragon bullets. His mastery over water magic allowed him to manipulate the elements with unparalleled skill. The very water rebelled against the enemy forces, obeying his commands and washing away their ranks. As the sinking submarines forced the soldiers to swim towards land, Minato cut off their escape route with the fearsome "Water Style: Hundred Hungry Sharks" spell. Hundreds of sharks formed from the very water encircled their prey, preventing them from reaching the safety of the shore.
However, even with their extraordinary abilities, the sheer number and skill of their adversaries began to take its toll. Fatigue crept upon Fugaku and Minato as they pushed their limits, rapidly unleashing spell after spell.
"Tch, these pests are becoming a nuisance. Minato, wipe them out in one fell swoop!" Fugaku grumbled, his frustration evident in his voice.
"Right!" Minato responded, determination shining in his eyes.
Taking advantage of Fugaku's diversion, Minato channeled his energy, forming a pulsating sphere of power in his hands. The sphere crackled with intense vibrations, creating crashing noises and generating rapid, swirling waves akin to a powerful water attack. The water below them reacted to the sheer intensity of the attack, forming a colossal tornado.
"Energy Make: RasenTsunami!" Minato declared, his voice resolute.
With a mighty heave, Minato launched the attack into the heart of the tornado. The remaining enemy forces were irresistibly drawn towards its center. The ensuing explosion sent forth countless water slicers, hurtling through the crimson-tinged vortex. The tornado transformed into a gruesome spectacle—a swirling bath of blood, as the water slicers tore through the ranks of the Alvarez mages.
A smirk graced Fugaku's lips, a testament to their triumph, while Minato's face reflected a sense of satisfaction. Both warriors, their breaths ragged and bodies weary, reveled in the momentary respite.
However, their brief reprieve was shattered as a sudden surge of magical pressure enveloped them. Before them stood an elderly man, dressed in tattered rags and wielding a staff adorned with a resplendent purple gem. August Dragneel, the Wizard King himself, materialized with an air of calm and unwavering confidence, despite facing two of the strongest mages in Earth Land.
"My apologies! It saddens me that this land must bear witness to such bloodshed. However, my Majesty's wishes are absolute. He deems you a threat to his vision for the future of humanity. We cannot allow the Prophecy Child to grow any stronger than he already is," August declared, his voice infused with regal grace. He descended to the ground, his presence commanding.
Fugaku narrowed his eyes, his voice laced with determination. "Who is this 'majesty' of yours, and what do you want?"
August's lips curved into a confident smile, undeterred by their defiance. He attempted to mimic their magic, but to his surprise, he found himself unable to replicate the blonde man's unique abilities. Undeterred, he decided to test their skills by launching a barrage of magical beams from his hands.
Fugaku and Minato swiftly evaded the attacks, their movements fluid and precise. Seizing the opportunity, Minato hurled a tri-pronged kunai towards August. The elderly mage adeptly dodged the projectile by tilting his head, but in that split second, Fugaku swiftly released another kunai with pinpoint accuracy. The trajectory of the kunai altered, hurtling towards the ground behind August.
In a flash, Minato materialized from seemingly nowhere, his hand ablaze with a pulsating Rasengan.
The Rasengan spun with intensified vigor, ascending toward the sky before detonating in a resounding explosion. August was caught off guard by the sheer power of the technique. His attempts to copy their magic had failed, and the delay caused by their attack hindered his regeneration abilities, which relied on time manipulation. Only pure ethernano could impede his ability to heal.
Seizing the advantage they had created, Minato and Fugaku sprang into action, launching themselves toward August in a synchronized assault. The battlefield became a whirlwind of close-quarters combat as punches, kicks, and expertly wielded kunai filled the air.
Minato and Fugaku displayed exceptional skill and coordination, their movements seamless and precise. August was forced to fight with every ounce of his experience and power. He wielded his staff with calculated precision, attempting to strike at his adversaries even in the midst of the fierce melee.
August's thoughts raced as he battled against his formidable opponents. "His magic eludes my grasp, their combat skills match my own, and their relentless speed makes it nearly impossible to land a hit with my bullet magic."
Fugaku's golden flames enveloped his fist, launching a searing punch toward the elderly mage's lower jaw, surprising the Wizard king. The impact reverberated through the air, propelling August into the sky. In a blink of an eye, Minato materialized behind him, delivering a powerful kick to his back, sending him hurtling towards Fugaku.
'He healed from the flame of rebuke…the blessing of my clan. How!?' Although surprised, Fugaku wasted no time, combining wind and fire magic with astonishing precision. He unleashed a torrent of flames enhanced by the force of the wind, engulfing August as he crashed into the water below. The intense heat and raging inferno submerged him, temporarily subduing the wizard king.
As the smoke and steam cleared, Fugaku and Minato maintained their guard, their gazes fixed on the spot where August had vanished. They knew their victory was far from assured. August possessed immense power and cunning, and they couldn't afford to underestimate him.
Suddenly, the water erupted in a violent surge, and August emerged, his crimson battle form radiating an aura of sheer power. His skin darkened to a deep red, and his hair stood on end in a wild display of intensity. A golden circle materialized on his forehead, emanating an imposing presence.
"Enough games," August spoke with unwavering resolve. "I shall show you the true extent of my power."
With a swift motion of his staff, August unleashed a torrent of ethernano-infused energy, creating a massive shockwave that rippled through the battlefield. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the air crackled with raw energy.
Fugaku and Minato braced themselves, their resolve unshaken. They knew that they had reached a critical juncture in the battle, where victory hinged on their ability to push beyond their limits and unleash their most formidable abilities.
The clash of titans resumed, the battlefield becoming a symphony of magic, fists, and blades. Each strike was met with a counter, each spell countered with a powerful barrier. The intensity of their battle intensified with every passing moment, their skills and determination pushing them to new heights.
The sounds of thunderous impacts echoed through the air as Fugaku's wind-enhanced strikes collided with August's impenetrable defenses. Minato weaved through the chaos, striking with lightning-fast precision and leaving trails of afterimages in his wake.
August, though a formidable adversary, began to feel the strain of the prolonged battle. The combined strength and resilience of Fugaku and Minato pushed him to his limits, testing his resolve and his belief in his own invincibility.
Their relentless assault left August with little opportunity to retaliate. However, despite the mounting pressure, August refused to yield. He tapped into the depths of his power, drawing upon the vast reservoir of ethernano within him.
Golden flames burst forth from August's body, engulfing him in a blazing aura. He channeled his magic into a single, devastating attack. The air crackled with energy as he unleashed a barrage of magical bullets, each one aimed with deadly precision at Fugaku and Minato.
'He copied the flames of rebuke! What's happening?' The Uchiha seethed, feeling a sting of disrespect watching his prized technique being stolen so easily.
Fugaku and Minato maneuvered with exceptional agility, narrowly evading the onslaught of bullets. Their movements were a dance of speed and grace, as they weaved through the storm of projectiles.
Sensing an opening, Fugaku unleashed his Great Fire Annihilation technique once again. Flames erupted from his palms, forming a scorching inferno that surged towards August. The intense heat and force of the attack threatened to engulf the wizard king.
But August was not so easily defeated. With a swift wave of his staff, he manipulated the flow of time around him, creating a temporal barrier that deflected the flames and nullified their destructive power.
As the battlefield crackled with magic and the clash of wills, Minato seized the opportunity. He appeared behind August in a flash of yellow lightning, his kunai gleaming in his hand. With a swift, precise strike, he aimed for August's vulnerable spot—the golden circle on his forehead.
August reacted with lightning-fast reflexes, countering Minato's attack with a swift spin of his staff. The clash of metal resonated through the air as their weapons collided. August's golden circle glowed with an intensified radiance, amplifying his magical prowess.
Fugaku, witnessing the exchange, swiftly moved to support Minato. He unleashed a torrent of wind-enhanced fireballs, each one aimed to disrupt August's focus and create an opening for Minato's attack.
The battlefield became a maelstrom of elemental forces. Wind clashed with fire, lightning crackled through the air, and earth trembled beneath their feet. The combined might of Fugaku and Minato tested August's limits, pushing him to the edge of his endurance.
August gritted his teeth, his determination unyielding. He refused to succumb to their onslaught. Drawing upon his deepest reserves of magic, he unleashed a devastating spell—a vortex of swirling time magic that threatened to ensnare Fugaku and Minato within its grasp.
Fugaku and Minato recognized the danger and swiftly reacted. They coordinated their movements, their magic intertwining in a seamless fusion. Fugaku summoned powerful gusts of wind, creating a barrier of swirling currents that disrupted the temporal vortex. At the same time, Minato channeled his lightning-infused chakra, creating a protective aura that shielded them from the time-distorting effects.
The clash of their combined powers against August's time magic created a cataclysmic surge of energy. The shockwave rippled through the battlefield, shaking the very foundations of their surroundings. The force of their collision sent them hurtling in opposite directions, momentarily disoriented.
As the dust settled, Fugaku and Minato regained their footing, their breath labored but their determination unshaken. They locked eyes with August, who stood tall and resolute, his battle form emanating an aura of unyielding power.
The battle was far from over. August, fueled by his unwavering determination and his desire to protect his "majesty's" plans, unleashed another surge of magic—a torrent of ethernano that crackled through the air, threatening to consume everything in its path.
Fugaku and Minato shared a knowing glance, a silent understanding passing between them. They had come too far to falter now. Together, Fugaku and Minato channeled their remaining strength and launched a coordinated counterattack. Fugaku summoned a blazing tornado of fire, while Minato infused his kunai with lightning energy.
Their combined assault tore through the raging storm of ethernano, cutting through the magical torrent with unwavering determination. The clash of their elemental forces resonated through the battlefield, creating an explosion of raw power.
As the smoke cleared, August's form wavered, his defenses shattered. He staggered, his eyes wide with disbelief. Fugaku and Minato stood firm, their gazes steely and resolute.
Realizing the tides had turned against him, August made an attempt for a hasty retreat, but he was impeded by twin dragons of fire encircling him in a loop. Although precarious, the situation actually played into his hands, his weekend and damaged visage smirked. With a suction, August utilized his fire dragon slayer magic to recover. His skin rejuvenating with an ethereal glow of ethernano.
Fugaku's wind-enhanced fire dragon attack had sent August crashing into the water, but to their surprise, he emerged relatively unharmed, his regenerative abilities at work. Fugaku couldn't comprehend how August could withstand the power of his fire magic without a single burn.
August, smirking confidently, revealed his immunity to fire. "I claim possession to fire dragon slaying magic, which not only protects me but also empoweres me further from fire based attacks". Fugaku and Minato realized they were facing a formidable opponent.
Feeling the weight of exhaustion, Fugaku made a crucial decision. He knew it was time to unleash their trump cards. Minato understood and nodded in agreement. Both of them closed their eyes, their magical energies surging beyond their limits as they underwent a transformation.
Fugaku's eyes ignited with fiery intensity, flames dancing above them, while Minato's face became adorned with intricate black markings. Their new forms radiated immense power.
Without warning, a blazing supernova descended from above, and a yellow blur emerged from beneath the water. August found himself caught between the onslaught, his face crushed by the force of their combined attacks. He retreated, using barrier magic to shield himself from Minato's ensuing Rasengan.
August acknowledged their impressive abilities and understood why his leader sought to annihilate the land and eliminate the child from six years ago. Despite being at full strength, he struggled against these formidable adversaries, unable to anticipate their moves or use his copy magic effectively.
Minato's determination to protect Naruto fueled his ferocity. The Alvarez soldiers, witnessing their leader's predicament, trembled with fear. These two warriors had pushed August onto the defensive, defying all expectations. Overpowering him in their weakened states seemed inconceivable.
Meanwhile, the other Konoha mages gained motivation from their leader's dominance, driving them to victory in their own battles. The tides were turning in favor of Konoha.
Realizing he needed to resort to a weapon his leader had entrusted to him, August prepared for a devastating finishing move. He produced a lacrima pulsating with dark, malevolent energy and casually dropped it to the ground.
Fugaku and Minato's eyes widened in alarm as they anticipated the danger. Fugaku sprouted golden flaming wings, enveloping his body in a protective aura, while Minato swiftly utilized hiraishin dorai, positioning himself to redirect the imminent attack.
The lacrima struck the ground, triggering a cataclysmic burst of death magic. August teleported to safety, watching as the island was engulfed by the spreading darkness. Life was drained from everyone present, and Fugaku, unfortunately, succumbed to the relentless onslaught, his once vibrant spirit extinguished.
Minato managed to redirect the majority of the attack, but the lingering effects began to consume his life force. Gasping for air and wracked with pain, he lay on the ground, gazing at his cherished village. His thoughts turned to Kushina and Naruto, hoping desperately that they would remain safe amidst the chaos.
Minato, on the verge of his final breaths, reached into his pocket and retrieved a golden key. With his waning magic, he activated it, causing a radiant light to envelop the area. From within the brilliance, a female spirit emerged, resembling a young woman with pink hair, brown eyes, and a pair of twisted horns on her head. She wore clothing that resembled white, fluffy wool.
Aries, the Celestial Spirit, looked upon her master, her eyes filled with shock and anguish. "Minato-sama, what has happened to you?" she gasped, her voice trembling.
Struggling to keep his eyes open, Minato mustered the strength to speak. "Aries, I am... going to d-die," he whispered hoarsely. "I release our contract, but there is one final task I ask of you. Will you accept it?"
Aries, on the brink of collapsing with tears streaming down her face, summoned all her strength and nodded shakily, her loyalty unwavering.
Minato had been a kind and caring master. For over a century, there had been no celestial mages in the village, and he was the last one remaining. He had often called upon Aries to provide wool for the village, which seemed to always be lacking, and to play with Naruto-sama.
With trembling hands, Minato presented a ring adorned with a pearl-like lacrima that emanated a soft red glow. Another ring with a similar design, but with a vibrant white glow, bore the symbols of the Namikaze and Uchiha clans intricately etched within. He entrusted both rings to Aries, who took them gently, holding them close to her chest.
"Give these rings to Naruto and Seliah. They contain our soul tombs," Minato rasped, his voice weak. "We created them so that if we were to meet a sudden demise, we could still be with them, watching over them from within these rings, guiding them whenever they face moments of darkness."
Minato's words were accompanied by a violent cough, blood staining his lips. He retrieved a lacrima and pressed it into Aries' hands, a final piece of instruction.
"This lacrima will provide the answers you seek. Please, deliver it to them, and above all, ensure their safety," he implored, his voice ragged. With his eyes beginning to close, he looked up toward the sky, watching an eagle soaring through the air toward the approaching moon.
Aries, her heart heavy with sorrow, witnessed her master's departure from the land of the living. Yet, she held onto his words, determined to fulfill his final request. With a resolute expression, she hurriedly set out to find Minato's son, Naruto.
A sense of duty and love guided her steps as she embarked on her solemn mission, carrying the weight of Minato's regret and the hope of protecting the light that he cherished most in this world.
With each weakening breath, Minato's resolve never faltered. He had fought valiantly to protect his loved ones and the village he held dear. As his life force gradually faded, his unwavering spirit became an eternal symbol of heroism and sacrifice, forever etched in the hearts of Konoha's people.
Aries burst into the palace, her footsteps hurried and her heart heavy with the weight of her master's final wishes. What she found inside was a scene of tragedy and despair. The Kusanagi blade was embedded in Mikoto's chest, and Naruto clung to her, tears streaming down his face as he desperately tried to communicate with his mother.
Seliah, struggling to maintain consciousness, witnessed the heart-wrenching sight, tears cascading down her cheeks. Helpless and filled with grief, she watched as her mother's life slowly slipped away.
Kushina, unable to bear the pain unfolding before her, fought back her own tears. She glanced at the rings and lacrima in Aries' hands, a sense of dread etched onto her face. Silently, she wept, not wanting to disturb Naruto, while her heart ached for her best friend who was nearing her final moments.
"N-N-Naruto, please calm down!" Kushina pleaded, embracing Naruto from behind, her voice trembling. "We have to help Seliah now! Before she is sealed, I will prepare to apply the Eight Trigrams Seal on her stomach, so she can survive demonification. Okay, baby?"
Kushina struggled to steady herself, her voice filled with emotion, as she gently laid Seliah on the ground, cradling her fragile form with golden chains. With painstaking precision, she began drawing the intricate seal on Seliah's stomach, all the while suppressing the surging demonic energy emanating from her daughter's body.
"N-N-N-Naruto-kun... promise me," Mikoto coughed, her voice strained as she fought to speak to Naruto. "...take care... be safe... always be your Mikoto-oba-san's cute and good little boy. Be with Seliah and protect her while I am gone, alright? After all, you are her only friend, right?"
Mikoto managed a faint smile amidst her labored breaths, her words laced with love and concern. Naruto could only nod, his tears flowing uncontrollably, as he held her mother close to Seliah. Mikoto kissed and hugged her daughter one final time, her touch filled with both tenderness and sorrow, before her body went limp in Naruto's arms.
Seliah, unable to comprehend the weight of her loss, began screaming, her voice filled with anguish and desperation, begging her kaa-chan not to leave her. But her cries were met with silence, as her mother had departed from this world.
Kushina, her own heart breaking, completed the Eight Trigrams Seal Fuin on Seliah, channeling her love and strength into the intricate symbols. At that very moment, the book's title transformed, bearing Seliah's name, and a radiant purple glow enveloped her.
Witnessing this, Aries rushed toward Naruto, her voice urgent as she handed him the scroll containing everything his father had wanted him to have. Clutching the violet ring with the Uchiha symbol, she spoke with a mix of urgency and compassion.
"Naruto-sama, these are the possessions your father wished for you to have!"
Naruto, his mind clouded with grief and confusion, accepted the ring from Aries' outstretched hand. But before he could utter another word, Seliah began to glow, her petite form bathed in a luminous purple light, signaling the beginning of a profound transformation.
