Chapter 40 – The Force Ghosts
In the living room, Luke was sitting on the floor, in front of his youngest son, Luke jr, who was in his walker, pressing all the buttons that made all of the different sounds of the galaxy, which he loved, while his other kids were sitting on the couches, watching the first episode of The Clones Wars animation series.
"It is grandpa," Alli pointed to the screen.
"And uncle Ben," Padmé said right away too.
"Oh that brings memories," they heard and smiled when they saw now only Obi Wan's Force Ghost, but also Anakin's and a small green creature.
Padmé got out of spot she was on the couch, and approached her father.
"Papa, that little creature looks like Grogu."
Luke smiled and pulling his daughter and made her sitting on his leg, he nodded.
"Yes he is. Because him and Grogu are the same species," he answered her kissing her cheek.
"But why does it brings memories?" Ben asked his Godfather.
"Well because I forgot how your grandfather never listened what I said," Obi Wan said looking at Anakin.
"Excuse me? Did you forget how many times I saved your ass from serious situations?" Anakin replied, making Padmé gasped and covering her mouth she looked at her father.
"Papa. Grandpa said a bad word."
"I know sweetie," Luke said looking back at his father's Force Ghost.
"Yeah, Grandpa said ass," Alli said right away, making Luke looked at his daughter.
"Alli Leia watch your language," Luke replied right away, making the little girl looked at her father with a sorry look on her face.
"But I was only saying what grandpa said," she tried to explained to him.
Obi Wan looked at her and then back to Anakin.
"Great example you are giving to your grandchildren, Anakin."
Anakin looked at him and frown.
"At least I have grandchildren, and I was telling the truth. I saved you many times, but I understand that age made you forgot that."
"Age? Are you saying I'm old?"
Anakin hold a laugh before replied to Obi Wan.
"Did you actually looked yourself lately? You are an old man. Unlike me who look as younger me and handsome too," he said smiling, making Obi Wan rolled his eyes.
"Well maybe because at least I was able to resist the Dark Side and didn't became a Sith and murderer Lord unlike someone I know."
"Oh really, well maybe because you were not as good master, ever thought about that?"
Ben, the girls, Luke and even the baby were looked at the force ghosts of Obi Wan and Anakin going back and forth.
Ben looked at them and started to shake his head, which made Obi Wan looked at his godson and frown.
"What is it Ben?"
Looking at Yoda, the almost 6 years old boy decided to ask.
"Were they like this when they were alive?"
"Pretty much, young Ben," Yoda nod making the little boy looked back at his godfather and his grandfather.
"You two look like my sisters when they decided to be annoying. But at least they are four. You two are adults," he said, making Luke started to laugh at that remark, which made his baby son imitate his father and started to laugh too.
"Wise, young Ben is," Yoda said chuckle at the boy's remark.
"No wonder he has my name," Obi Wan said making Anakin looked at him right away.
"He has my blood. So he is more mine than yours."
Ben looked at his father and rolled his eyes.
"Here we go again."
Then Alli approached and stomp her right foot on the floor, they looked at her.
"STOP. Behave or you will be in time out, misters," she said pointing the finger at them, which made Yoda laugh at.
"Personality the youngling has. Good ruler she will be."
"And for a moment I saw her grandmother," Anakin said smiling at his granddaughter.
Then Ines and Ahsoka came into the living room and watching Alli pointing the finger at Obi Wan and her grandfather, Ines and Ahsoka looked at each other.
"What is going on here? Is this a Force Ghost meeting?" Ines asked smiling at them.
"Grandpa, Uncle Ben and Uncle Yoda came to see the cartoons with us," Padmé responded.
"But they are acting like them," Ben said pointing to his sisters, which made Ahsoka laugh.
"I guess they didn't change, not even after death."
"Hey, we may be dead but I was your master, so how about show some respect?" Anakin said making Ahsoka cross her arms and looked to her old master.
"Sure sky guy."
The kids looked at her and then to their grandfather.
"Sky Guy," Alli said pointing to Anakin and laughed, making Anakin looked at Ahsoka.
"Thanks a lot, Snips."
"Snips," Alli laughed this time looking to her Ahsoka, who rolled her eyes.
"Really?"
"Hey you were the one who started?"
Ben looked at his father.
"Now I see how aunt Ahsoka got her personality," the kid said making Obi Wan and even Yoda laughed.
"In him, hope I have." The old master said.
Then Padmé approached her mother and wrapping her arms around her mother's tights, she looked up at her and smiling she said:
"Mama, you look so beautiful."
"Aww thank you my little love," Ines said running her hands on her daughter's blonde hair.
"I agree," Obi Wan replied smiling. "And remembering you when you were 10 years old and seeing the amazing woman you became, it makes me smile, Ines."
"Thank you Ben."
"Well they are right," Luke said and approaching his wife and wrapped his arms around her waist, and pulled closer to him he smile. "You look beautiful, but there is something I'm use too, since you look beautiful no matter what, and that is why I fall for you since I was 10."
"Glad to know," she smiled wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Oh not again," they heard and turning around they saw their son rolled his eyes, which made them laugh.
"Do you have a problem young man?" Luke asked his son.
"No, but we have guests here. Do you need to be all lovey dovey right now?"
"Can you believe this? Our own son," Ines said shaking her head.
"Don't worry mama, I think it is cute. When I have a boyfriend I will do the same," Padmé said out of nowhere, making Luke looked at her right away.
"Excuse me young lady? No you wont, only through my dead body," he said picking his daughter right away smiling at her.
"Yes I will. I will have a boyfriend." the little girl said frowning at him.
"No, you won't."
"Why not?"
"Because I'm your father. I made you and half of your DNA is mine, and what I say goes," he said smiling at her, which made Padmé looked at Ines.
"Mama!"
"Don't listen to your father sweetie. He is a silly man."
"Silly man," Padmé said smiling.
"I'm what?" Luke said and hanging his daughter almost upside down, he started to ticking her, making Padmé laugh out loud.
"PAPA STOP!" she said between laughs.
Anakin was watching that scene and a smile appeared in his face. He loved to see his son interacted with his kids and see how a great father he was. But he also felt bad that he wasn't able to do the same to his kids.
Seeing that, Obi Wan smiled at Ani.
"Don't feel bad Anakin. In the end you did save your son, showing you really care about him all along."
Anakin just nod.
"Ben is right," Ines said approaching her father in law. "You saved my husband and my son. Besides you are here watching your grand kids growing and taking care of them."
"Yes grandpa. Don't be sad," Alli replied smiling to him which made Anakin smiled back.
"Thank you. I'm glad that the force choose you to be with my son and making him happy."
"He is the one who makes me happy all the time," Ines said glare at her husband who still had Padmé in his arms and winked at her.
"Babe, I think it is time to go," he said putting the girl on the floor.
"Yes, it is," Ines nod and looked at Ahsoka. "They already have their bath taken and they already had their meals. Luke's bottle are in the fridge all you have to do is warm it up before bed. Don't let them stay up late, do you understand," she said looking at her kids.
"But we want to watch The Clone Wars episodes," Ben said pouting.
"And you can watch them. But I want all of you in bed around 9. And obey aunt Ahsoka." she said especially looking at the twins, who nod.
"You mean snips," Alli said laughing.
Ahsoka looked at Anakin right away.
"You will pay for this," she said while Anakin laughed.
"That's my granddaughter."
After kissing their kids and say goodbye to Ahsoka and the force ghost, Ines and Luke left, meeting Ken Talia and Amidala heading to Mon Mothma party.
So Anakin, Obi Wan and Yoda decided to appeared too. What do you think of that?
