Chapter 52 – Husband and Wife

Luke was looking at his baby son, pulling the covers on top of him, while the baby was laying on his right side, sucking his pacifier, taking is afternoon nap.

It has being 2 days after Ben's 6th birthday.

For the past 48 hours, everything was being prepare for the at least 2 to 3 days lock down and now everyone was in their homes.

The next day Rex had come to the Temple and with the other clones: Cody, Gregor and Echo, and they all met Luke who was there with his daughter Alli, and Cody told him how much he respected Obi Wan since he worked with him during the Clone Wars and he also knew his father Anakin, and of course he would do anything to protected his family, especially being Obi Wan the Godfather of Luke's older son Ben.

They informed that after the storm passed they would contact with former clones and they were sure they would help too.

After that day, and after talk to the others and be sure everything was okay in the Jedi Temple, and of course bring Grogu to spend the storm days with them, they had being at home.

And even if the news only informed that they would start feeling the storm tomorrow during the afternoon and it would during the night that it would hit full force, right now they were already starting to get some.

The day came very cloudy and they could hear the win, that once in a while pick the strength and hearing blowing up outside.

Right now, the apartment was very quite, because the next days Ines woke up with a sore throat and as the day passed by, she started to cough and her body started to hurt and Luke was pretty sure she was starting to have a little fever, which the doctor confirmed when he called him.

Since they didn't want the kids to catch the small flu, at the moment, the other kids alongside with Grogu were at Leia and Han home, since his twin sister was kind enough to take the kids and let Ines rest, only leaving the baby with his parents. Even R2 went with them.

Entering in this bedroom, he watched Ines under the covers, sleeping. Getting under the covers slowly, he pressed his lips on her forehead and sighed in relief knowing that she had no fever at the moment.

Smiling, he stroke her hair, looking at her sleeping form, and thinking how happy he was all these years since he had her in his life, and suddenly he remembered the next day after they slept together for the first time, after a year of relationship.

Flashback:

4 ABY (7 weeks before Han's rescue mission from Jabba's Palace)

Luke was walking down the hallway for the alliance cruiser, bowing his head every time someone said hello to him.

That morning he decided to check his X-Wing before he attended a short meeting where Leia, Mon Mothma and General Madine were talking. There was something that it didn't feel right for him, but he knew that it doesn't mater what he said nothing would change. After a few minutes he decided to leave, and nodding to Leia, he left the room and decided to see where his girlfriend was.

The last time he saw her, it was in now their bedroom, when he returned with all of her stuff, after the night they slept together for the first, and decided to share his bedroom from now on.

The memory of their night, made him smile. It was something he was eager to have since the moment they started dating, but he also respected her time to give that big step, and now he was happy they waited cause that made it even more special, and now he knew he would never let her go, no matter what.

Reaching a room, he rest his back on the wall, with his arms cross in front of his chest, watching Ines, in her training outfit, kicking some people butts with her fighting skills.

Right now she just kick one of the girls she was fighting and made one of the guys trip and having her stick pointing at his throat, ending the fight.

Helping the guy standing up, she looked at them.

"You always need to pay attention to any attacks from every direction and every way. One simple distraction can kill you without yo even see it coming," she told them. "I think we are done for today. Good job guys," she finished while everyone clapped.

As everyone left, Ines turned and smiled as she watch her gorgeous man staring at her with that beautiful smile on his face.

"Hey handsome, I thought you were still with Leia in that meeting?" she replied approaching him.

"I was, but I was starting to get boring hearing the same thing over and over again, so I prefer to come here and enjoying this gorgeous view," he smirked, pulling her closer and watching her sweaty body, making Ines smack his arm laughing.

"Luke, not in public," she smiled, "But about the meeting, I gave up too. Yesterday, when you arrived I was there and I still think something is going on. This silence of the Empire and the Emperor, when 4 years ago they did everything, including blow up my planet. And now they all so quite, especially knowing they killed so many Bothans. Why doing that?"

Luke nod and he stayed silence for a minute.

"What are you thinking?" she asked him wrapping her arms around him.

"I think you are not wrong, and you have a good point on that, but if General Madine sticks with the plan we can't do anything."

Ines nod, he was right. After a while she had an idea.

"Well since there is nothing to do right now…" she started.

"What you mean, there is a lot we can do right now, especially both of us, in our bedroom," he started kissing her neck, making Ines laughed.

"You need a cold shower you know that!"

"I had that many times but not anymore," he winked, making her rolled her eyes.

"Very funny, but I actually had an idea," she said and walking to the center of the room, she throw one of the sticks with the force towards Luke, who catch it right away. "Very good Jedi."

"What is this?" he asked looking at it.

"Since you are teaching me to become a Jedi and use the force, I was thinking, maybe it is time for me to teach you how to fight too."

"I'm force sensitive. I can win a battle by using the force alone."

"Like you won the last one with him," she said looking at him.

"Ouch, that hurt, especially coming from my own girlfriend," he replied.

"Good. It is not because you are force sensitive that you can't learn how to fight and be ever better. Besides if you want to open a Jedi Academy and started the new Jedi Order, I think your future students need to fight first before you handle them a deadly weapon like a lightsaber."

"That is a good point," Luke said nodding.

"Good, then come here so we can start the first lesson," she smiled at him.

"And what I get in return," he smirked at her, making her laugh.

"You know what," she winked pointing to her body, making him laughed and they started to fight with the sticks.

Present time.

"I never thought you had such a dirty mind," he heard and looking to his left he saw Ines staring at him.

Rolling to his left, he put his hand on her forehead, checking of any fever, which she didn't have it at the time.

"I only had a dirty mind when I started dating you," he giggled and kissed her forehead.

"Very funny Skywalker," she replied. "The house is so quite at the moment. Are the kids all taking their naps?"

"You wish, Only our sweet baby is taking his nap. The rest of our trouble makers are in Leia's apartment."

"Poor Leia," Ines laughed.

"It was her idea. She knew you were not feeling well, so she asked the kids if they want to spend the afternoon there, so they went, with Grogu, and R2." he said smiling. "Besides the weather is getting bad, the wind is picking up sometimes. Glad we put the protecting shield of the veranda when we had the kids, so now it also protects from rain." he continue, but Ines knew her husband very well and she knew his mind was thinking of something else.

"What is on your mind, sweetheart?"

"I was thinking of something you said back in the day, and that is something that concerns me too," he replied.

"The fact the Empire was so quite back then, and that Thrawn is also so quite now?"

Luke nod.

"Maybe you should talk to Leia about what is on your mind. Either way there is nothing we can do for the next days."

"Let's hope I'm not right" he said pulling her closer to him. But he was not so sure.
