Chapter 58 – Planning Everything
Everyone entered inside Leia's office, waiting for her, since she was with Mon Mothma talking about the permission that the Senate just gave to Luke, Han and Chewie to assemble a team to go with him.
After a while she entered.
"Sorry about that," Leia told them as she gave a quick kiss on the lips to Han and hugged her mother and her twin and sister in law.
"So how is everything?" Han asked his wife.
"Well I just came from talking to Mon Mothma about your trip."
"So are we good to go, right?" Luke asked her.
"Yes. Now it is up to you about who goes with you. Whoever you choose, it is fine for her," she informed him.
"Master Skywalker I want to go with you," Rex said right away, which Luke already knew that he wanted that for sure.
"I knew you would say that Rex, and of course you can come with us. I'm sure Han and Chewie wouldn't mind. Right?" he asked looking at his friends.
"Of course not. But only the four us will go?"
"I don't know if we should take someone else. And which ship we will take?" Luke asked.
"Of course we will take the Falcon, she is the faster ship we have," Han replied right away.
"Okay, the Falcon it is. We also need to take R2 with us. He can helps us, especially with his sensors," Luke said, and looked at Din and Bo. "What about you guys?"
Bo looked at Din and then back to Luke.
"I think it is for the best that we leave as soon as possible and go to Navarro informing not only our people but Greef Karga about all of this." she replied.
"I agree with Bo. And if you guys want I can also pay a visit to Captain Carson Teva and tell him what just happened, if you want it."
"Thank you Din, actually I was just about to ask you that. Going low is the best option now, and since we know you are close to Captain Teva, we prefer if you tell him everything in person," Leia replied.
"Of course, no problem."
"What about Boba, is there any way to informed him about it our plan?" Ines asked making everyone look at her.
"I can do that too," Din answered her.
"My friend are you sure? We don't want to go around the galaxy as an informed guy," Luke said tapping his shoulder.
"I don't mind at all. Maybe it is time to check on Boba and Fennec."
"Okay then it is decided," Leia said. "I wish I could go with your guys, like old times. Right Ines?"
Ines sighed. She agreed with Leia.
"You bet. I really wished I could go with you guys. I missed that to be honest. But before you say something, I know our kids need me here. That is why I thought of something."
Luke frown at his wife.
"What did you think?"
"Well maybe it is time for you and Ahsoka go on a trip like this together. Since she is here with us, you two never flied together. I'm sure she missed it. What do you say?" Ines asked looking at her friend.
"Well are you sure you don't need me at the Temple?"
"Ahsoka, it is not the first time I'm alone with the kids. Besides, I have our older students that are now a great help. And I know you missed these type of missions."
Ahsoka looked at them.
"What do you say? It will be like the old times!" Rex replied with a smile.
"If the owner of the ship doesn't mind," she giggled when Han rolled his eyes.
"What kind of stupid question is that?" He said making her laugh.
"Then it will be a pleasure to go with you. Lets see if Luke is just like his father," she replied looking at Luke who smiled back at her.
"Okay then it is all settle. You better prepare everything while I inform Mothma about our decision," Leia told and with a nod, they all left the office.
Later on at night time:
It was around 10pm and in the Skywalker apartment, Ines was putting the twins in bed.
"Mama, will Papa need to go?" Alli pouted.
Ines knew that when the kids had the news that their father had to leave on a mission, they would upset, especially Alli.
"Yes sweetie, he really needs to go to see if someone needs his help in Kamino," she said pulling the covers over her 4 years old daughter.
"Did the mean man did to uncle Rex home, just like it happened to your home, mama?" Padmé asked her.
"Yes sweetie. That is why Papa needs to go there with Uncle Han and Chewie, and aunt Ahsoka and Uncle Rex, to help anyone that maybe needs help," she explained to her, covering her too.
"But I don't like when Papa leave," Alli said looking at Luke's doll.
"We know sweetie, but they will be here soon."
"R2 will go too?" she asked and when Ines nod, she started to whimp.
"Alli, they will not go alone and Papa will talk to you every day."
"He better," she said making Ines laughed.
Luke entered in the room at that time.
"I better what, young lady?" he asked crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"Talk to me every day," Alli pouted.
Luke knew Alli would be one who would take the news the hardest way.
"I promise," he said approaching her and kissing her forehead.
"Good," she pointed the finger at him, making him laugh.
Going to Padmé, he kissed her forehead, smiling when his daughter wrapped her little arms around his neck.
"I love you Papa," she said, making Luke's heart melt.
"I love you too sweetie. Very much. I love all of you." he replied smiling at them. "No, go to sleep." he smiled, and taking Ines hand, they left the bedroom and went to back to the kitchen, since they already had put Ben and the baby to bed first.
"I can't blame our daughter, cause I don't want you to go either," Ines said wrapping her arms around Luke's waist, making him wrapped his around her and pulling her closer to him.
"I know," he said kissing her lips softly.
"I wish I could go with you, cause to be honest I miss the old times when we went on these missions."
"Trust me, I wish that too, but back then we were young, without kids. Now we have to think of our 4 beautiful kids and someone needs to be with them. Maybe next time," he said.
"I hope so too."
"But, you know the Jedi rule, right?" he asked looking at her.
"What Jedi rule?"
"That every time I need to leave on some mission, we need to make love for good luck," he giggled as he started to kissed her neck, making her giggled.
"I don't remember to hear that rule. How old is that?"
"5 seconds old," he smirked and before she could answered he took her lips into a deep kiss.
After pulling apart they looked at each other.
"Well then I better finished cleaning the kitchen," Ines said.
"I'll help," Luke said right away, making Ines laughed and the couple finished to clean the kitchen, and head to their bedroom to a night of love.
In the lower levels of Coruscant:
A figure walked towards the clubs in the lower levels of Coruscant. Stopped at the entrance of a dark street corner, the figure walk into it and turning to left, it stopped behind a building.
Making sure nobody was near, the figure took a comlink from the pocket and pressing a button, the hologram of a blue skin man appeared.
"Report," he spoke.
"I found it. It is one of the Skywalkers twin girls."
"Good. You know what to do. I want the girl and the crystal."
"I found out the Senate assemble a team to go to Kamino, and Luke is one of them."
"Than this is the perfect time."
"But the mother will stay here. I'm sure she will be guarding her daughter."
"I don't care. Find a way. I hope the next time you contact me, is to inform me that you have the girl with you. Don't fail me or this will be your first and last mission."
And before the figure could say anything, the comlink went off.
So the team will go to Kamino and of course Alli didn't like it. And do you think something will happen while Luke is away. And who is the spy?
