Chapter 65 – The Other Prisoner

It passed 3 days since Luke, Boba and Fennec left towards Geonosis to bring back the kids. During that time, they decided it was for the best not communicate with each other, in case someone could caught it, but deep inside Ines knew they were okay, since she felt it through the force.

So far the plan was going the right away, and it was time for her part in the plan, so at the moment Ines was heading towards Dex Diner. It was the last day of the week and while the kids were at the Jedi Temple, she decided to order dinner since she was not in the mood for cooking.

The moment she entered, Hermione came in her direction and hugged her.

"Hey Ines. I'm so sorry about what happened? I hope you and Leia are doing okay."

"Thanks. And we okay, so to speak," Ines replied approaching the counter. "How is everything here?"

"Service is going okay but Dex feels bad since the kidnapping."

Ines looked at her and sighed. She knew for sure he would feel that way. Dex loved the kids.

Few minutes after she sit down, Dex appeared and when he saw Ines, he walked towards her and gave her a hug.

"Oh Ines, I'm so glad you are here cause I want to apologize you and Luke and also Leia and Han for everything. I feel so guilty for all of this."

Ines stared at Dex and couldn't help to smile sadly at him.

"Dex, you don't need to apologize. None of this was your fault. She tricked you too."

Dex sighed. Even if he knew that Ines was right, he would always find guilty too for hiring Vina and Ines felt bad for her friend.

"How is Luke? I heard that he is sick?"

Ines nod. This was the time for her part in the plan, even if she hated lie to Dex, a good friend of the family.

"Yes he is. With all of this and you know he felt guilty, probably more than any of us. So he started to have a fever and in a way it is all psychological, but we decided it was for the best for him to stay at home for now."

"Hard to believe a strong Jedi like him being sick," Hermione replied making Ines glare at her.

"Well my friend, we are humans too. We also can get sick."

"Of course. I wish I could visit him but I've being busy lately, as you can see. I even hired another person, but this time it was someone I knew for decades and I know it is a good person."

"Yeah, I know him too and his parents and it is okay. Luke knows you care about him," Ines smiled at Dex.

"Send him my apologies and that I wish he will recover soon."

"I will and he is a little better but we decided it was for the best he stays at home until he is fully recover."

"I bet Alli didn't want to leave him alone," Dex laughed since he knew how much Alli loves her Papa.

"But this time, we had too. Luke needs to rest but it took a while to convince her. Which reminds me that I need to hurry cause soon the classes are over for the day and I'm not in the mood for cooking so, I thought to order some of your delicious food."

"Of course. Anything for you guys. What do you want?"

After telling Dex what she wanted and after they decided that Ines would pick it after the day was over, she had just left the Diner, when she bumped into Luma and Reed. She knew when Naluma moved to Coruscant after her reign ended in Naboo, and she became a Senator for the new Queen, that she and Reed became friends and after a while she accepted his courtship. And she was happy for her and so was Luke. The twins always called Reed, Papa's other twin brother since they looked alike, which made Reed always laughed at that.

"Ines," she said and both women hugged each other for a while.

"Hello Luma. Reed," she said hugging the Lieutenant too.

"Hey Ines. How are you and Luke and also Leia and Han?" he asked her.

"Yes, how are you? We have being so hurry since we got the news," Luma said grabbing Ines hands.

"Well we are desperate of course."

"Of course. I can't imagine being in your situation. But I'm sure we will find out where they are and soon they will be here with us."

"Thanks my friend," Ines smiled squeezing her hands and felt something. Looking down she gasped when she felt the beautiful amethyst ring on her left finger.

Looking back at Luma with wide eyes and with a smile on her face.

"I see there are some recent news that you forgot to tell me."

Smiling and looking back at Reed, who wrapped his left arm around her shoulders, Luma looked back at Ines.

"We wanted to tell you sooner but with everything that is going on, we thought you had bigger problems and we wanted to wait until everything was solved. Cause we also wanted to ask you and Luke permission for an idea we had."

"Permission?"

"Yeah but you two have bigger problems and we don't to bother with our moment," Reed explained making Ines shake her head.

"Come on guys. You know no matter what Luke and I would be happy for you and I'm sure Leia and Han would too. So you could have tell us about the engagement. At least would be something to get our minds out of all of this for a while."

"But either way, we want to ask you both something. We were just waiting for Luke to feel better since we heard he was sick," Luma replied.

Looking around Ines glare at Luma and Reed.

"Well why don't you go to my apartment later on. I need to talk to you, especially to you Reed." Looking at each other, Reed and Luma frown at that.

"Is everything okay?" he asked.

"In a way yes but I prefer to talk to you in private, if you know what I mean."

"Sure, we will go there after dinner if that's okay."

"It is perfect. See you there then and congratulations. I'm really happy for both of you." Ines said and hugging them, she head back to the Temple, hoping that by now Luke, Boba and Fennec were about to reach Geonosis.

At that moment in Geonosis:

"Padmé, do you think grandpa and Uncle Ben will take to long to come here again?" Ani asked.

"Don't worry. They will come back. They told they are helping my Papa."

For the past 6 days, the kids were not alone. Anakin and Obi Wan had being with them, but once in a while they left to trying to help others with information, and right now that what happened.

Then they heard a door opened next to the cell they were and someone grunt, as like it was push back and fall.

Looking at each other, the kids approached the wall and try to look at the small hole that was on the wall and saw a young man with dark hair laying on the floor. It seemed he was hurt.

"Are you okay?" Ani asked.

The young man, raised his head.

"Whose there?" he asked.

"Here," Ani said sticking his little fingers in the little hole so the man could see where the sound came from.

Seeing it, the young man, crawled towards the wall.

"Hello."

"Hey, what are you doing here? Were you taking from your mama and papa too?" Padmé asked making the man smiled.

"No, not exactly. But what are you doing there?"

"We were taken from our mamas and papas by a mean lady." Ani replied.

"How old are you two?"

"Four," they said at the same time. "What about you?"

"30 years old. What is your name?"

"I'm Padmé and this is my cousin Anakin. What is yours?"

"I'm Ezra."

The moment they heard that name, they looked each other. They had heard that name before.

"You are the friend that Aunt Ahsoka talks," Padmé replied making Ezra straight up right away.

"You know Ahsoka?"

"She is helping my mama and papa in the temple."

"Helping them! In the Temple!" Ezra said and he understood right away what Padmé meant. After all he sensed the kids had the force but he was not 100% sure.

"Are your mama and papa Jedi?"

"Yes."

"You are a Jedi too, right?" Ani asked.

"Yes. But I don't have my lightsaber with me." he sighed. "What are their name?"

"My mama's name is Ines and my papa's is Luke!"

"Luke! You mean Luke Skywalker? You are Luke Skywalker's daughter?"

"Yup!"

"And I'm his nephew and he is my godfather too," Ani said right away. "My Papa is Han Solo!"

"General Solo. So you are Princess Leia's son. Now it makes sense why you are here. They found out you have the crystal."

"But I don't. It is my twin sister. They have a fake one."

"Then that is not good cause Thrawn will be here soon and when he finds out you are the one he wants, I don't know what he will do. I wish I had my lightsaber right now."

"Don't worry, my papa will rescue us."

Ezra frown. He didn't want to disappoint the little girl but he doubt her father would know where they were and rescue them in time.

Then they all looked up. They all felt the same thing.

"Someone is coming." Ezra said.

"My Papa is here," Padmé smiled.

"Maybe today is our lucky day after all Padmé," Ezra said smiling. Finally he would go home to his friends.

So they arrived to Geonosis and finally we met Ezra. And what do you think Luma and Reed want to ask Ines and Luke?
