A/N: Sorry that it took so long guys. I was thinking of concepts and things to write. I'm still thinking of what to do with Sakura, but I have a decent idea of what she'll be. As I've said in the last chapter, all three will wield swords. Anyways, enjoy and for the last time, I do not own Naruto or its characters. Should I make Kakashi the sensei? I'm thinking if not Kakashi then maybe Gemma? Review please!

Chapter 3: The ignorance.

Naruto and Sasuke had shown up early to the academy. After all, first impressions were extremely important. They'd found seats next to each other close to the front of the room. Soon, a couple teachers filed into the room. As they walked in, they were shocked to see the two boys there before they had even gotten there. They noticed the red-haired boy sitting back in his seat next to the last Uchiha. They'd heard rumors of the two around the village. These are the two who'd beaten an entire mob of citizens and their only 12. One teacher proceeded to the desk and the other went outside to set up the sparring ring along with shuriken practice.

As the next 30 minutes passed, many kids the duo's age came in. Many of the incoming children were clan heirs. There were also a few civilians whose parents were a big part of the village economy. Most of the girls coming in snuck glances at Sasuke blushing brightly and looking away if they'd made eye contact with the target of their affection. Naruto smirked slyly at the Uchiha, knowing that this was going to happen. As the entire class came in, the teacher in the room started introducing himself. "My name is Iruka Umino, and I'll be your teacher for the 4 years that you're here. My assistant's name is Mizuki, and he'll be your teacher for majority of the taijutsu practice along with kunai and shuriken jutsu practice. Now with that being said, let's begin your lesson for the day. The basics of chakra…" Naruto and Sasuke sat there taking notes and paying attention to every detail. Of course, they'd already used chakra and learned how to control it somewhat. But they needed to get the best grades, so they'd do so. As lunch time came around, the pair sat anxiously waiting for the midday bell so that they could meet up no with Shikamaru and Choji for lunch.

The bell rang after what felt like forever releasing the two balls of energy known as Sasuke and Naruto. They had caught up to Choji and Shikamaru heading for Ichiraku's ramen shop. They had an hour to do as they pleased and they'd wanted to at least eat. Walking through the village, Sasuke and Naruto noticed the glares being focused on Sasuke as well. Naruto assumed they'd stopped assuming he'd corrupted the Uchiha and acknowledged that the two were simply inseparable friends, and by all intents and purposes, brothers. Sasuke through it all had stuck by Naruto's side for the few short months he'd known him. He wouldn't change for anything or anyone, especially not the ignorant villagers.

Shikamaru stared at the two he'd accompanied for lunch curiously. Why had these two been getting stared at like this? He knew that they'd injured villagers, but that'd been out of self defense, and everyone knew that. He filed away his thoughts as he saw the ramen shop approaching. Stepping in, all four boys recognized and drooled over the heavenly smell of ramen. Naruto decided that because it was his birthday, he'd eat a few bowls. Instead of a few, he had eaten 15 of them. He out-ate even Choji who had 10 bowls himself. Shikamaru had only 1 bowl and Sasuke had 3. It was on the house for them since it was Naruto's birthday. They made it back to the academy to see everyone else already there. They jogged over to the crown so as to not miss anything. They arrived at perfect timing to hear Mizuki sensei describing what they'd be doing.

"We're going to do a couple things on the physical portion of the day. First, we're going to practice kunai and shuriken throwing techniques. Then, we'll pair you up to spar so we can rank you guys for the beginning of the semester." Many nods were received and they all picked up a shuriken and kunai set, heading to the target practice section. "Alright, starting with you two, Kiba Inuzuka and Shino Auburame." Two boys stepped up, revealing they were the two who were called. "Okay, first, throw the ten kunai at the target. 5 in each hand. Do your best, and compete with your partner." The boys nodded. The smiling Inuzuka was the first to throw his kunai, getting a whopping 3/10. He slumped in disappointment. Shino repeated the action Kiba did, receiving a slightly better score of 5/10. Shino perked up at this, he'd beaten his partner and that was a start. "Alright, you two. Go to the back of the line and stay together. Now, the next two, Ino Yamanaka and Hitori Kashiki." Ino stepped out with a glance at her crush, Sasuke Uchiha. She sported a purple skirt and crop top, the rest of her skin being covered in battle bandaged and arm warmers. She was blonde, her hair tied up in a long ponytail. She smirked smugly, holding her kunai in both hands with confidence wanting to impress the Uchiha boy. Her seeming rival approached the area with similar sentiments.

Her rival had dark brown hair and an equally dark outfit on. (Think Rin with no face marks in the original canon). She stood there also wanting to impress the Uchiha. Ino threw her kunai, and hit a disappointing 2/10. She was embarrassed by her result as many laughs and snickers came from the crowd. Her rival threw hers as well, hitting none of the targets. The entire class went quiet and the brown-haired girl broke down from embarrassment. "Now, now. It's okay, Kashiki-san. Don't worry, that's why we're here to improve." Mizuki comforted the girl. "Now, follow the previous pair and stick together." Another 30 minutes ran by quickly as many civilians and other clan heirs went and no one got higher than a 6. The 6 was from Hinata Hyuga, as expected of such a clan. Shikamaru had gotten a 4, and Choji a 4 as well. It was now Naruto's and Sasuke's turn, they had been the last two. Mizuki glared at the two slightly. It was the demon boy and his demon loving friend. Mizuki, however, quickly hid his resentment. "Alright, you two are the last. Let's see how well you do." Naruto and Sasuke smiled, knowing that their skills in shuriken far surpassed that of an academy student. Both, in tandem, threw their kunai at the targets. Each kunai hit its designated bullseye. 10/10 for both. Mizuki and the entire class's eyes widened out of their sockets.

"Wow, you two are quite proficient in kunai jutsu." Said Mizuki, not hiding the fact he was impressed. The same pair of people did the same with shuriken and all received the exact same results. "Now," Mizuki started, "Time for the sparring portion. There will be no use of metal weapons, no use of jutsu-" Naruto cut him off, "What about wooden weapons?" Mizuki put on a forced smile and responded without missing a beat, "Well, I guess there's no rules against that, huh? Now, back to the explanation." Naruto got the information and waited till the matches began. "First, Ino and Kashiki." Ino was confused about something. "Sensei, why am I paired with the same person?" Mizuki smiled genuinely this time. "Great question, Ino-san. See, the person you're paired with will be the person you'll be paired with the entire semester. At the end of the semester, we may or may not switch partners based on skill level." Ino nodded, satisfied with the answer." Ino and Hitori stepped in the self-made ring. "Right, make the seal of friendship and acknowledgement." The two complied then separated to start their match. Ino rushed in blindly thinking that no civilian girl could ever beat her. That was her mistake. Her punch was obvious enough to be dodged by a toddler. Thus being said, Hitori dodged, grabbed Ino's arm and flipped her on her butt.

Ino was too surprised to counter her opponent, allowing Hitori to lightly chop Ino in the neck. She smirked smugly, "Take that. Now, Sasuke-kun will like me and think you're weak." Ino was angry but there was nothing she could do. She had been bested. Mizuki called the match, sending the girls to the back of the line. Slowly, more and more civilian students went 1 on 1. At last, the fight everyone had been waiting for, Naruto Vs. Sasuke. They went to the ring as they heard cries of cheering for the Uchiha. Naruto and Sasuke made the sign for friendship. They smiled. "Yo, Sasuke. You know, after this fight, one of us will have a higher win count." Sasuke's grin widened slightly. "Yup, and I'm going to win. C'mon, let's do this." They jumped back, both unsealing their respective weapons. The class was slightly surprised. This is what they meant by wooden weapons. Naruto settled into his mother's stance as Sasuke settled into his family's own. Mizuki was slightly intrigued, this would be quite interesting. Naruto initiated contact with an upwards strike, moving at speeds thought impossible for a mere academy student. Everyone's eyes widened seeing someone move that fast. Mizuki could clearly keep up, but was still impressed nonetheless. Iruka had just walked out of the classroom as the fight started, finally finishing his lesson prep. Sasuke blocked the strike with a downward strike of his own. They stood their ground before moving back, both wearing menacing smiles feeling the lust of battle. Many students had been shocked that the boys could emit such menacing feelings.

Naruto again approached this time with a spinning strike to the head, Sasuke ducked under the strike and went for a roundhouse kick to the red-head. Naruto parried the attack with his sword as this threw Sasuke off balance, making him backflip in the air to settle himself. "Oi, Sasuke. Let's go wild." Sauske immediately understood Naruto and reached for his leg warmers. Or what looked like leg warmers. He took off the weights on his legs, also the "leg warmers" (weights) on his arms. He threw the weights aside, allowing them to make a crack in the ground. Many eyes widened at the sight including the two Chunin instructors. Naruto made a hand seal, dropping all his gravity seals. Their smiles seemingly grew wider if that was even possible. Naruto, to the students, disappeared and appeared by Sasuke. The students were shocked at the speed and couldn't keep up even if they tried. One was, however, able to slightly track their movements. One such being Hinata Hyuga, with her Dojutsu activated. The Chunin instructors were shocked and could now barely keep up. As Naruto appeared, Sasuke jumped back avoiding a blow to the head. Sasuke then disappeared as well. Naruto followed his lead, going head to head in speed with the Uchiha. Everyone's eyes were bugging out of their head. What were they seeing? Who were these two? Naruto appeared in one spot, blocking a strike from the Uchiha, then disappearing again behind Sasuke only to swipe at air not finding him there but a few meters away. They were both slightly panting, neither willing to give in. "How about we end this, Sasuke." Sasuke nodded, preparing himself for one final move. Naruto got into the stance of a specific kata of his mother's style. Sasuke readied himself as did Naruto. In a blur of movement, Naruto and Sasuke quickly slide past each other. They both remained smiling before Naruto fell. Not even half a second later Sasuke met the same fate. There was no clear winner. They both sat up after 5 seconds. They smiled genuinely at each other, making the sign of friendship. They put their seal and weights, respectively, back on. They laughed and made their way back to the students as if nothing had happened. Many were shocked that kids their own age could be this good, this strong. Mizuki stood in place, shook at what he'd seen. These kids had scary potential. He started walking towards the ring, announcing the fierce battle to be a draw. "Alright, that's it for the day, kids. Go home and rest." As Mizuki ended his sentence, the bell to go home rang and everyone started towards their homes.

Sasuke and Naruto decided to do something for the red-head's birthday. They met up with their friends Shikamaru and Choji to do a couple things around the village. They decided to visit the annual Kyuubi festival. No citizen dared touch Naruto or Sasuke in the presence of two important clan heirs such as the Akimichi or Nara clan. Therefore, they had free reign to many of the stands the festival had to offer. Soon, they'd gotten many stuffed animals and began handing them to the children around the festival. Close to midnight, they four were walking peacefully around the village. They sat in a comfortable silence, and Naruto used this as an opportunity to say something. "Hey, guys?" The other three turned their attention to Naruto. "Thank you. Thank you for being my friends. My best friends." Everyone stopped and turned towards each other. Shikamaru broke out in a smile, speaking first, "Of course, Naruto. We see the villagers glare at you. Some even attacked you. And I'm sure it's for something troublesome. But if nobody else wants to be around you, we will. Now, and forever." Naruto shed a couple of tears, happy that he had such friends. He decided that at the very least, they deserve to know about why he was hated. "About that, Shika." Shikamaru grinned at the nickname. "I guess I'll tell you all exactly what makes villagers hate me." Choji and Shikamaru focused intently on the conversation. "Well, I won't sugar coat it. I'm the container of the nine tailed demon fox who destroyed the village all those years ago." Shikamaru looked at Naruto, nodding, grinning once again. "Troublesome." Naruto couldn't help but laugh at the verbal tic of the Nara. Soon, everyone joined him in laughter. "How about you guys spend a night at our house!" Said Naruto. "Well, we'll have to ask our parents first." Replied Choji. Shikamaru nodded in agreement, and both headed off to ask their parents permission.

In the distance lies a ninja. A chunin to be exact who'd hated Naruto and decided tonight would be the night he killed the demon and his demon loving friend. "The demon and his pawn are alone!" The chunin yelled to the civilians. About 100 civilians and 3 more chunin appeared in front of the two boys. Naruto was scared. For the first time in months he'd felt fear. "Oi, Sasuke. We can't win. There's 3 chunin. We just can't win." Sasuke agreed quickly, knowing they were out of their league. Past the civilians and chunin was Shikamaru and Choji running back quickly. They hadn't lived far away from the festival and we're walking back with good news. As they were walking they saw many villagers and even a few ninja in one big group. After seeing that they started sprinting in the direction all the people were in. When they arrived they saw Naruto and Sasuke back to back. They ran into the circle to help their friends even if it meant getting beat with them. "What are we going to do now, Ninja-san?" Asked a villager, knowing who the two boys who joined the demon were. "Well, there's always accidents in a ninja village, ya know?" The ninja and villagers smiled devilishly. They walked slowly towards the boys. Shikamaru snapped out of his shock and yelled "Run!" The boys ran and the villagers followed after them. The ninja followed among the rooftops deciding to give the four false hope. They'd have fun if nothing else. As the four boys ran, they took many cuts and detours to get away. They turned down another street as Sasuke opened his mouth to speak. "Alright, we need to do something or they'll kill us." Everyone grimaced and kept running. "We need to get to one of our homes, then. Either one of our fathers is strong enough to take out a few chunin." Said Choji. "Alright then. Let's go to Choji's house. He's closer to here. But we need a plan. They're not just going to let us go. What jutsu do you know?" Shikamaru asked. Naruto frowned slightly. "Not many. I know the first two levels of sealing scroll jutsu. I know the replacement jutsu and I know one basic Uzumaki genjutsu. That's it." Shikamaru was puzzled. "Uzumaki genjutsu?" He asked. "Tell you later. Let's try to stay alive first." Replied Naruto with a grin. Sasuke then focused in, beginning to talk, "I know the basic fire ball jutsu. I also know the normal clone jutsu. Of course, kenjutsu and taijutsu are a given. That's it though." Shikamaru nodded. Choji then added his skills, "I only know the partial expansion and it only works on my arm right now." Once again, Shikamaru nodded. "Well, I know the shadow possession but it's not very strong. Hm. I have a plan…"

The group of boys nodded, deciding Shikamaru's plan was the best it could get. Sasuke wove through a hand sign, making 4 clones. Each of them scattered off, leading some villagers off in a different direction. They were now left with 40 villagers. Shikamaru smiled. His plan was going well so far. They turned down a block that put them roughly 600 meters from Choji's home. The real Sasuke jumped in the air, going through hand signs once more, ending in the tiger sign. The chunin running along the roofs widened their eyes. He was going to use a fire jutsu. That damned Uchiha. "Go stop him!" Yelled one chunin. Sasuke put a quarter of his chakra in this fireball. It was huge. They then heard a loud rough voice. "Water style: Water wall jutsu!" Shikamaru's smile widened. Exactly as he planned. Now there was a smoke screen. They stopped and Naruto performed hand signs he'd recently learned. "Uzumaki Genjutsu: Melting pot!" The civilians then got caught in the genjutsu and began yelling and freaking out. Everything was melting away. Everything was disappearing. What the hell was going on!? The chunin had broken the genjutsu exactly one second after it was cast. However, one second was too. Shikamaru expanded his shadow to the 4 chunin who'd jump down to capture the children. The smoke screen cleared away and the four chunin were cursing. Shikamaru looked back at Naruto and Sasuke. Choji expanded his arm, picked the two up and threw them at the door of the Akimichi clan. As soon as they reached the door the shadow possession dropped, and one of the chunin grabbed Shikamaru, another one grabbed Choji, holding kunai to their neck. "The demon and his pawn ran off. Of course they did, I expected-" The chunin was cut off by the killing intent of Choza Akimichi.

Choza saw the four chunin, frozen in fear, backing away from him. He walked towards them slowly. The two holding his son and Shikamaru had dropped the boys. By now, the genjutsu Naruto casted had already worn off. The villagers passed out from the killing intent emitting off the man. Choza grabbed all four chunin and looked at the boys. "I'll be back. Get in the house." Choza spoke with a no nonsense tone of voice, conveying the seriousness of the situation. Shikamaru nodded as did Choji, running to the house where Naruto and Sasuke had been. Choza disappeared in a body flicker, appearing at the Hokage's office. He dropped the body on the floor in front of the Hokage. "Surprised to see you up, Hokage-sama." Hiruzen smiled grimly, wondering why one of his strongest shinobi had four chunin on his floor. Not to mention releasing killing intent. "Ah, Choza-san. What brings you and your…guest here?" Choza frowned deeply. "These ninja, the same ones sworn to protect the village you love so much, attacked four academy students. Luckily, Sasuke and Naruto are, from my understanding, the strongest in their class. One of the others was Shikimaru Nara, a genius. You know how us Akimichi feel about the Nara clan. We're practically family. Most importantly, the last student was none other than my son. My own damn son. Hokage-sama, you have let this village go to hell. To attack four academy students. It disgusts me to no end. I did not fight in two wars for this." The hokage grimaced. Everything Choza said was correct. This village had grown corrupt. More corrupt than he liked to admit.

Back at the Akimichi household

"We did it." Said Sasuke, slightly shaken up from their encounter. Tonight has been a long one. "I'm sorry, guys." Said Naruto. "You guys were attacked because of me, and I'm sorry." Naruto looked down, saddened by the night's events. "Don't be sorry. As troublesome as it is, we just have to get stronger to protect you and ourselves. Even if that means I actually have to train. Hmph, troublesome villagers, making me work hard." Naruto looked up, brightened by the words of the Nara. "Yeah, *chomp* we just have to get stronger. *chomp*" Said Choji. Sasuke nodded towards his friend and Naruto jumped up. "Alright! It's settled. Everyday after school let's train. Let's get strong. Strong enough to protect ourselves."

They all grinned and nodded. They were excited to see what the future held for themselves. "Not before you get some sleep. All of you are staying here tonight. Now, go up to Choji's room, Shika. I'll fix a futon for these two." Said Choji's mother. The boy's sweat dropped, but complied nonetheless.

Hokage's office

"I see. Well, if there's nothing that can be done I'll be taking my leave now. Good night, hokage-sama." Said Choza. The hokage had told him there was nothing that could be done for the boys. He was more than upset. He was livid. He snorted, then opened the door to leave. He looked back for one last glance at the hokage. He grunted, then left. He headed to Shikaku's house. He wouldn't be happy.

As Choza arrived, he knocked on the door to his best friend's house. "Choza, what're you-" Choza ignored his friend and walked in. Shikaku was shocked to say the least. "Why're you here so late, Choza?" "I'm here because our sons along with the Uzumaki and Uchiha were attacked tonight. By four chunin. I saw about 40 villagers but knowing this ignorant village, there was probably more." Shikaku had dropped the toothpick he'd been chewing on. "You're kidding." Choza shook his head in the negative. "Not in the least, Shikaku." "And what did you do about it?" He asked, angry over this news. "I talked to the Hokage." Shikaku visibly calmed at this. "He said he could do nothing about it."

Flashback

"Hokage-Sama, why can't you do anything? You're forgetting that we are some of the most important clans in Konoha. Without the Akimichi and the Nara, this village would take a major blow. Both economically and with village safety."

Hiruzen sighed, deciding he was too old for all of these issues. "Yes, Choza, I am quite aware of your clan's status and importance. That's the very reason we can't do much. Imagine I'd have killed every shinobi and/or villager that attacked or tried to kill Naruto. The village would no doubt break out into civil war. Besides that, clans like the Hyuga, who also dislike Naruto, would only fuel such conditions and as a country, we cannot afford such things. Please, Choza. Try to find understanding-"

"Understanding? Hokage-Sama, with all due respect, I do not care to understand a damn thing if my children and their friends cannot live in peace. They are in danger in their own village and that's unacceptable. If I have to fight the whole village, me and my fellow clansmen will do so. This, I can promise."

Present time

Shikaku was unnerved by the situation ahead of him. The Hokage himself was afraid to do anything for the risk of civil war. He thought about the odds. On their side, they had the Nara, Akimichi, as well as the Yamanaka clan. On the other side, the Hyuga and the Inuzuka. The Sarutobi clan was questionable. The Hokage himself would do his best to avoid the conflict, therefore staying neutral. He put such musings aside and focused on what was before him.

"This is troublesome. Quite troublesome."

Choza only nodded in agreement.

Choza sighed, "We have no choice. We have to train them. If civil war was to break out, they need to be ready. They WILL be ready."

Shikaku's face mustered into what could be called a determined look. He agreed with the man, he wanted nothing more than for his son to be great. He'd accept nothing less. Time to show why he's a jonin. And more importantly, a father.

One Year later

It had been a year since the incident in the village. Tensions were rising slowly, but surely during the year. Very many villagers went out their way to attempt to make life hell for the members of the Nara and Akimichi clan and certainly by no exclusion, Naruto and Sasuke as well. This was, however, planned for and handled by the genius Nara clan. Lazy, yes, but they were by no means slouches.

Hokage's Office

In the office of the Hokage stood Sarutobi's rival and best friend. His, though arguably, most favorable ally. "Hello, Danzo-San. What is it you want?"

Danzo smiled, one such smile that portrayed little to no emotion. "Hiruzen, I'll get straight to the point. If we do not do something soon, we will go into war within the next 5 years. You know that, don't you?"

Hiruzen was not taken aback by his words. He had indeed known about the village's and by extension, his own problem. "Yes, I am quite aware, Danzo. However, I want to somehow fix this issue. What do you have in mind, old friend?" Danzo's smile widened just a little.

"I'll sit. Besides, this will take a while to discuss."

Somewhere near a training ground

"Again."

Shikamaru sighed. Why did he have to do this? Besides, he didn't need bigger chakra reserves. His jutsu didn't take much anyway. "Dad, why do I need so much chakra? It's troublesome to build and our jutsu rarely needs more than a 10th of our chakra anyway."

Shikaku nodded, deciding to answer the question. "Well, Shika. What's the biggest weakness of the clans of Konoha?"

Shikamaru thought for a minute. His eyes widened if only a little. "We only use clan jutsu."

Shikaku smiled, "Yes, son. For example," Shikaku went through 2 hand signs, "I'll make a mud clone."

"Now, I want you to react in this situation. Let's say I'm a foreign Ninja."

Shikaku then positioned himself behind his clone, taking him hostage. Creating another mud clone, the clone had an offensive stance facing towards Shikamaru.

"Now what?"

Shikamaru thought. "Well, I could take possession of the guy attempting to fight me. But if your clone was my teammate, I'd only have one person as backup. Seeing as it'll be Choji, Ino and I, it'll be Ino getting caught because she's the weak link. I'd need a distraction to get the other guy close enough for Choji to be effective." Shikamaru's eyes widened once more. "I need to be more versatile. My shadow only stretches so far and quite frankly, it's only useful if the opponent is caught off guard."

Shikaku grinned widely, "Yes. That's my boy. That's the purpose of this exercise. When you become a genin, I'll teach you ninjutsu. That will be why you'll be the strongest Nara. Other than myself, no one knows any ninjutsu besides the basic shadow possession and shadow stitching. Imagine adding lighting chakra to the jutsu. It's a scary amount of potential that lies in the shadow-release. Anyway, back to the exercise, kid."

With Choza

Choza was currently looking down at his son. His son would be strong, he just needed…motivation, perhaps. "Why can't you fight me back, Choji?"

Choji looked down. "I don't know I don't wanna hurt you, pops."

"Chozi, I'm a Jonin for a reason. You're barely scratching genin level. I appreciate your concern, but stop holding back. Now get up and come at me." Choji adopted a tired look. Choji threw a sloppy punch and Choza caught it, throwing Choji meters away. "Choji. If you don't change, I'll have no choice but to take you out of the academy and ninja program as a whole." Choji grew confused. "But pops, why? Ninjas are supposed to help people, not hurt them." Choza decided to squash this in his son now.

"Son."

Choza became dead serious as he looked at Choji.

"As ninjas, we kill, we steal, we lie, we commit unbelievable crimes and atrocities. We are ninjas. We are protectors to Konoha. We are thieves and murderers to anyone else. That's the way if the ninja, Choji." Choji looked at his father, slightly withdrawn from his previous ideals of what a ninja was. Could he really do all of that? Lie, steal… kill someone?

"That's it for the day, Choji. Go inside"

With Naruto and Sasuke

Over the year Naruto and Sasuke had improved a great bit. They had each taken to learning tree walking and had nearly mastered it to a point that it was second nature. With this, came great control of their respective chakra. As it stood, Naruto had the chakra of two kages. Sasuke had the chakra reserves that could rival a kage's. Something interesting had happened over the years that consumed the majority of their time.

Flashback

"Sasuke. Have you ever thought about how to unlock your sharingan?"

Sasuke thought about this and shook his head. "Nope. What about your chains?"

Naruto also shook his head. "Well, they do say it needs to be in a life or death situation for the sharingan. So, I had an idea. Use all of your chakra. And I do mean all of it."

Sasuke complied and it took an hour to use all of his chakra. "Now what?" He asked.

Naruto's smile grew deviously, "Live." He said as he rushed Sasuke with as much speed as he could muster. Sasuke's eyes bulged from his head. He was going to die but all his chakra was gone. He couldn't move in time and taking off his weights would be impossible. He had to do something, he had to live. Everything slowed down. Naruto was moving slower and he saw everything as if through a lens.

"I see, so this was your plan. You bastard fox, you." Sasuke said kunai is drawn and locked with Naruto's. "It worked didn't it, brother?" They both smiled widely. Sasuke had unlocked his sharingan.

"What about your bloodline?"

Naruto just shook his head, "Ah, I'm not too worried about it. It'll come to me eventually."

Present time

Naruto locked swords with Sasuke. He then disappeared, replacing himself with a kunai he had performed the substitution with. Normally, for any other normal genin, this would be nearly impossible. To replace one's self with such a small item would be too taxing in the reserves. For Naruto who's reserves rivals that of the bijuu, not even counting the actual bijuu inside of him, this was not such a problem. As he disappeared Sasuke turned around jutsu in time to see a swipe of the beaten up wooden tanto of Naruto. He ducked, counting but going into a handstand aiming a kick at Naruto's head.

Naruto backflipped to avoid said attack. Quickly in the air, Sasuke went through hand signs all too familiar to Naruto. "Fire style: Fire flame ball" Sasuke shot a head sized fireball at Naruto. Naruto had planned for this, however.

He went through several hand signs and yelled "Uzumaki water style: Water fortress jutsu!" While his mother said they weren't ninjutsu specialists, that doesn't mean they couldn't or never used ninjutsu. In fact, due to their environment, they had at their disposal the strongest water ninjutsu second only to the 2nd Hokage.

He slammed his palms on the ground, creating a cage shape around him. A water barrier. He released it and closed his eyes, knowing there was a smoke screen. He had been working on this, he wanted to test it. "Uzumaki secret technique: Enhanced senses" He casted his technique and could see all around him. He used his chakra as a sort of echolocation mechanism. However, instead of sound, he went off of chakra signatures. This made it possible to create visual images. With this, he countered the sharingan. Soon he cast another 5 hand signs, "Uzumaki genjutsu: Melting pot" Soon Sasuke felt the sensation that was Naruto overpowering his chakra system. He saw things begin to melt away, and immediately his sharingan dispelled the genjutsu. That was, however, after he felt the wooden tanto to his neck.

"I win." Said Naruto cheekily. Sasuke looked behind him. "Oh?" Naruto was confused until he looked down, seeing Sasuke had already had his katana to his gut. "Hmph. Lucky sharingan using bastard." Naruto separated from Sasuke who'd had a eat-shit grin on his face. "I think we could give any experienced genin a run for their money." Sasuke said. "Yeah I agree. But we got to keep getting stronger. To be the strongest. That is our goal, brother." Said Naruto. In the distance they had seen what looked like two chunin stalking them. After sparring, they disappeared to wherever. "It seems we'll have to go talk to Uncle Shikaku or Uncle Choza about this." Said Sasuke. "Hm. All because of something out of my control. It's fine. We're not here to make them happy. We're going to be ninjas soon. We're going to be killers, liars, and much more. All to protect these same. villagers. If only they knew. I never understood, ya know. The ignorance of the village."

Sasuke agreed wholeheartedly. Maybe, just maybe, one day they'll change.

A/N: So, this is the end of the chapter. A little development that will soon make sense in later chapters. I hope I did better this chapter than the last. Also, later chapters will be longer. I've been so distracted from another idea I've had. I might start working on multiple stories.

Anyway, a few things. I need you guys to review and let me know 1, who do you want as pairings. It won't be developed for another few chapters. 2, who should be the sensei? I already mentioned Gemma since team 7 will have all 3 members as swordsman and woman. You'll see what Sakura will be. Besides that, I hoped you liked it and I will be uploading again soon.
