Zazu flew to the outlands volcano, but seen no sign of trouble or Scar and report back to Simba.
Simba ask "did you see anything?"
Zazu sighs "no, sire."
Simba comments "if Scar returns then we will be facing problems until we get rid of him."
Three days later, Rani was laying down next Kion when a dark brown lion arrived stood in front of them and says "I finally found you sister."
Rani looked up from the ground to see Baliyo and ask "what are you doing here, brother?"
Baliyo answers "I came looking for you everywhere."
Rani ask "why?"
Baliyo answers "Queen Janna is dying now and can't help defend the tree of life at Night Pride. Did you find a possible mate to become your future king to help serve with you?"
Rani answers "yes. This is Kion next to me who is my boyfriend."
Baliyo comments "we need you to return with me back to Night Pride."
Rani comments "I can't leave when the guard need my help."
Kion smiles "Rani, go with your brother. I promise to meet up with you again. You have my heart" licking her cheek.
Rani nods her head and leaves with her brother.
Tiffany ask "do you think it was wise to let her go like that?"
Kion sighs "we're mates and if she stays, her grandmother passed away, she won't forgive herself from not spending what little time she has left with her."
They go about their business.
Kovu and Kiara walk to Kion and says "we heard from Tiffany and Ryan that Rani had to leave back home."
Kion comments "I'll see her again after this Scar business is over."
Kovu ask "maybe when we celebrate Christmas, you can make a trip to go see her two weeks early."
Kion sighs "I'm going to miss her."
Nala comes by them and says "kids."
Kion, Kiara and Kovu turn to Queen Nala and ask "yes?"
Nala sighs "your grandmother Sarabi is dying and doesn't have long."
Kion, Kiara and Kovu follow Nala to Pride Rock to say goodbye to Sarabi.
They arrive at den and nuzzle Sarabi before she dies.
Simba nuzzle Nala, both sad that she's gone.
Sarafina sighs "she was like a sister to me."
Two days later, everyone was dealing with the loss of Sarabi.
Ono flew around looking for problems and seen herd of sable antelopes running and guides them into a dead end canyon.
After they stop running, the noise causes a cave to tremble waking up Makuu and his float of crocodiles.
Makuu and his float come out of the cave and see it's the dry season and angrily snarls "who woke us up?"
Kion sighs "sorry Makuu for waking your float of crocodiles up. If you have a problem with water, we can talk with my father. He's still a little upset with losing his mother."
Kiburi says "why don't we make an example out of you Ono.
Kion sternly says "your not going to do anything to Ono without me getting involved."
Makuu turns to his float of crocodiles and orders "don't do anything until I come back or you'll be punish."
He leaves to go see King Simba at Pride Rock.
While he left, Kion and the guard team search for watering hole that is unused.
Kiburi tells the float "while they waste their time looking for unused watering holes, we do the crocodile way and take watering holes we need."
They spread out and take the watering holes that various pride members use.
Kion ask "Ono, do you see any watering holes that the crocodiles could use?"
Ono looks around and gasped "Kion, the crocodiles are stealing the other pride member's watering hole!"
Kion orders "Ono, go tell my father and tell Makuu about this."
Ono flies to Pride Rock to inform Simba and Makuu.
Kion and the team split up to deal with the crocodiles around the Pride lands.
(Southern Border)
Unknown to them a lion walked into the pride lands and says "I'm home."
(With Ono)
Ono landed on Promontory Point and says "Simba and Makuu, the crocodiles have taken over the other pride lander's watering hole."
Simba looks at Makuu angrily.
Makuu panics "I told my float to do nothing until I was done talking with you."
He leaves with Ono to go gather his float.
(With Kion)
Kion gets in a scuffle Kiburi.
Makuu arrives at the scene and push Kiburi off Kion and says "leave Kion alone and you all defy my orders."
Kiburi comments "you are weak to lead our float and I challenge you to Mashindano for leadership."
Makuu answers "I accept."
Shupavu and Njano hear this challenge and report back to Scar Ushari in the outlands volcano.
(Inside outlands volcano)
Scar hears what Shupavu says and tells Ushari "tell Kiburi that he can use some crocodiles to kill king Simba and rule the pride lands and the crocodiles."
Ushari slithers out to the pride lands.
Next day,Ushari told Kiburi the idea and he, Tamka and two other crocodiles plan to kill king Simba.
Makuu and Kiburi walk to a pit and battle each other.
While everyone was watching the match, three crocodiles leave the match scene.
Ono uncomfortable with violence, flies in the air and and spots three crocodiles leave the scene and tells Kion.
Kion and the team leave to follow the crocodiles.
Ono gasped "their planning to ambush your father, Simba."
Kion and the team attack the three crocodiles.
A lion little taller than Kiara and Kion jump in and help Kion defend Simba.
After the crocodiles were defeated, Simba ask "Makuu's float?"
Kion answers "they were planning to kill you."
(In the match)
Kiburi taps out to Makuu and surrenders to him and says "while we were fighting, I order crocodiles to kill king Simba and become ruler of the pride lands."
King Simba ask "is that so?"
Kiburi turns around to see Simba alive with the lion guard team and a new lion.
Simba turns to Makuu and ask "what do you want to do to them?"
Makuu answers "you can do what you desire."
Simba turns to Kiburi and says "your exiled from the pride lands!"
Kiburi, Tamka, and two crocodiles leave the pride lands.
They find Ushari and attack him.
Ushari says "I have someone who wants to meet you" and leads them to the outlands volcano to meet Scar's spirit.
(At Pride Rock den)
Simba ask "who are you stranger?"
The lion answers "I was the first born before Zira tried to kill me."
Simba gasped along with the others.
Kopa comments "I came because I heard the news of grandma Sarabi dying."
