Chapter 7

Back in the present, Peter manages to catch up to Eren, Katrina, and Odom, Eren asks, "Peter? Aren't you in Squad 26? What are you doing here?"

"Squad 26 is no more, everyone was killed by the Titans." Peter grits his teeth. "I managed to kill a fair share amount and come to you guys."

"Our group is also no more, except for Armin and us..." Katrina says. "Armin probably thought of us dead because we were too far away from him."

"Damn it...we've already come this far, but we still can't make a difference?" Odom asks in anger.

"We aren't giving up right now." Eren says as he notices the Rock. "But now that nobody is around us, how about we do this together?"

The other 3 nods as all four of them take out their blades and start to cut their hands, as steam are starting to cover the area.

Mikasa is jumping from roof to roof with Aya by her side, Aya says, "That was the bell sound of the temporary retreat, right?"

Mikasa says, "Why does no one try to climb the walls?"

Then they notice some people are committing suicide because of the Titans attack, Connie asks Jean, "The Supply team, what happened to them? Were they wiped out?"

"They're too terrified to move. I can see why." Jean mutters. "But abandoning their mission to resupply us, to hide inside HQ? Unbelievable. And sure enough, the Titans have swarmed them, so we can't go get more gas…"

"Then we must take a chance and try to destroy the Titans around HQ!" Connie retorts. "We won't be any worse off than sitting here…The Titans will be here before long! And if we keep running, we'll just waste the gas we have. Without the use of our Maneuver Gear, we really are done for!"

"I am surprised to see you using your head for once, Connie." Jean says. "But do you think we can do that, given our numbers here? Most of the veterans in the vanguard were killed. Which of us trainees could lead a suicide mission like that? Well, even if someone could, we can't fight the Titans. I bet the gas supply room is chock full of three-to-four-meter class Titans. Obviously, we can't refuel with them around."

Connie mutters, "So we're doomed?"

"What a stupid life…If I'd known this would happen, I would've told them." Jean mutters.

"Let's do it, guys! Come on, stand up…If we all work together, we'll be fine!" Sasha is trying to cheer up the other cadets. "I'll take the lead!"

But the others are in despair and she decides to ask Armin, "Armin, let's all…"

Seeing his gloomed face, Sasha can only widen their eyes in shock.

"Reiner, what should we do?" Annie asks.

"Nothing yet." Reiner says, "If we do it, we do it all together. It's hopeless."

Macro says, "There's no way any of us can make it out of this town alive. I knew I could die… But what am I dying for?"

Just then, Mikasa and Aya arrive, and a trainee asks, "Mikasa, Aya? I thought you were with the rearguard."

"We have a basic idea of what's happening." Mikasa says.

Aya says, "Annie, have you seen Eren's team?"

"I didn't see them." Annie replies. "But no one's made it up the walls."

"Actually, Armin is over there." Reiner says as he points at Armin.

"Armin!" Aya and Mikasa rush towards him, who panics as he remembers how Eren is killed.

"Armin, are you hurt?" Mikasa asks. "Are you okay?"

Armin lowers his head, and Aya asks, "Where are Eren, Peter, Katrina, and Odom?"

Armin has tears in his eyes and he says, "The members of Trainee Corps 34 Thomas Wanger, Nic Tias, Milius Zermusky, Mina Karolina, Odom Wolff, Katrina Jeager, and Eren Jeager… these seven died valiantly in the line of duty!"

Everyone can only widen their eyes, Jean says, "Team 26 is completely wiped out, and even 34 was almost wiped out as well?"

"If we try to face the Titans, the same will happen to us." Another person says.

"I'm sorry, Mikasa, Aya…" Armin mutters, "Eren…He sacrificed himself for me. I…I couldn't do anything! I'm sorry!"

Aya says, "Armin, calm down. This isn't the time to get emotional."

Mikasa nods, "Now, stand up." She turns to Marco, "Marco, if we eliminate the Titans swarming HQ, then we can refuel and climb the walls. Isn't that right?"

"That's right, but…" Marco says. "But even with you two here, there are too many…'

Aya says, "Eren, Katrina, Odom, and Peter are not dead."

This causes them to widen their eyes in shock. Aya says, "They are strong. Titans won't be able to do such a thing to them!"

"And not just them, we're strong as well! Stronger than you guys!" Mikasa says. "Therefore, the six of us can defeat those Titans! Even if they've died, their wills are with us!"

Aya says, "You're not only weak, but you are spineless cowards. We are disappointed in you. Just stay here, stay here and watch."

"Mikasa, Aya! What are you saying?" "You're going to fight all those Titans by yourselves?" "There's no way you can do that!"

"If we lose, we die, if we win, we live." Mikasa replies.

"And if we don't fight, we won't win, and we're not alone." Aya says as they use their ODM gears to leave.

"What's disappointing here is your vocabulary…" Jean mutters. "Was that supposed to be an inspirational speech? This is your fault, Eren! Listen up, guys! Were we trained to let our fellow soldiers fight alone?! Do you really want to become cowards?!"

Then Jean and Connie start to run, Reiner says, "I wouldn't want that."

Then the others are following them as they rush to help Mikasa and Aya. They are continuing their killing spree as they are storming back to the HQ. But Armin notices that both Mikasa and Aya are running out of gas, and the two of them eventually fall to the roof.

"Jean, you take over!" Connie yells. "I'll go after Armin!"

Jean tries to help, but Connie tells him to lead the other trainees. Aya rushes toward Mikasa and asks, "Are you okay?"

"It's like this again...I lost my family once more..." Mikasa mutters.

"No...it's not over yet." Aya says, "We can't give up!"

Just then, a titan is coming toward them, as they widen their eyes in shock.

More and more people are killed as they can't even go to the HQ, Jean and the others have to witness a lot of their people being killed and eaten, he starts to wonder why he didn't stop them, the screams have been plaguing them.

Mikasa and Aya are watching the titan approaching, Mikasa mutters, "The world is cruel, and also very beautiful...It was a good life."

Aya looks at her gas and her dull blade, the titan approaching and a depressed Mikasa, she holds her tears and yells, "EREN!"

Just then, much to their surprise, when the titan is about to attack, another Titan appears and it is Eren's titan, and just by its roar the Titan stops moving and kneels in front of him.

"Eren!" Both Aya and Mikasa are delighted to see him in front of them. Eren yells, "Nobody is going to hurt Aya and Mikasa, as long as I'm here!"

Then much to everyone's surprise, the Titans are now rushing towards Eren's Titan, after that, they stop just in front of him and kneel.

"Mikasa! Aya! Be safe!" Armin is trying to get to them, but his gas is also empty as he is about to fall, just then, a titan with the bird's beak and wings arrive and grabs ahold of Armin.

"A titan that can fly?" Armin gasps in shock, he thought he is about to get doomed, but the bird-like titan just puts Armin down to where Mikasa and Aya are, before nodding at Eren's titan and flying away.

"What the..." Armin asks.

"Armin, are you okay?" Connie also arrives and asks.

"I'm fine...but that Titan...it can fly!" Armin says. "It is not eating me as well..."

Aya says, "And the Titan over there is controlling the other Titans as well."

Connie and Armin look at Eren's Titan in shock, and while Eren is controlling the Titans, Odom's Sky Titan manages to kill off the other Titans using his wings and beaks. Just then, rain starts to fall as they turn around, a female titan is controlling the lightning as she shoots at another Titan, while in the rain, a titan with scales on its body is using the rain and its sharp teeth to bite at the other titans.

"Two more Titans are also fighting the other Titans?" Connie gasps.

"They are on our side, that's all you need to know." Mikasa says. "We need to get away as far as possible."

"You're right." Aya says. "We leave the other Titans to those four."

While they leave, Katrina says, "Odom! I'll handle the Titans here, go seal the wall with that boulder!"

Odom gives a nod as he flies to grab the boulder, and he throws it at the broken wall, sealing it. Peter says, "What's next?"

"Now we return without being noticed by everyone else." Eren says as they all leave.

When Mikasa and the others meet up with Jean and the others, who already arrived at the Supply Unit. Aya asks, "What's going on here?"

"You guys are safe!" Jean gasps in surprise. "For some reason, the Titans are acting weird and running away from the Supply Unit."

"Really? It must be that Titan!" Connie says. "You won't believe it, but we saw four Titans fighting the other Titans near the broken gate, and one of them is actually controlling them!"

Aya, Mikasa, and Historia tense up since Reiner and the others are nearby, and they also hear what they're saying. "You say four Titans are fighting the other Titans? What do you know about them?"

Before he can answer, they hear another glass break. Eren, Peter, Katrina, and Odom jump in and Eren says, "So this is where you guys are."

"Eren! Katrina! Peter! Odom!" Aya, Mikasa, Historia, and Armin rush toward them with shock and joy. Armin says, "You guys are still alive?"

"Yeah, we manage to avenge our fallen teammates. But just before we can finish some more, the Titans suddenly ignore us and head towards the gate..." Katrina says.

"And then we notice four strange Titans, they are fighting the other Titans. One of them makes the Titans bow down to him so the other two Titans can finish it out, and one of them seals the gate that was breached."

"So that means the Titans are no more?" This causes all of the recruits to cheer, and then they all head back to the base for retreat.

On the back, Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie are discussing. Reiner says, "It seems like the Founder has shown himself... only he can control the Titans of his free will..."

"And the other three must be the missing Sky Titan, the Ocean Titan, and the Weather Titan..." Bertolt gasps. "They're in Paradis this whole time?"

"If only we can find out who they actually are..." Annie mutters before joining the others.

Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, the broken wall is sealed and I hope you like this chapter. The next chapter will be joining the Scouts and also talking with Commander Erwin.
