At CTU George Mason briefs Jack on what they know about Nina's location. Nina currently lives in the jungle's of Cuba. This particular area is controlled by local drug cartels, and it acts as an unofficial barrier between the Castro government and the right wing rebels. It's a very dangerous area, but Nina seems to be relatively safe here. She is a survivor, and she knows how to barter information. Jack knows this is unofficial, if he is killed or captured the government will disavow him, and he will die in Cuba. But Jack assumed that president Allen wants Nina silenced, one way or another, and Jack wants her to suffer for Teri's murder. Jack then goes to the airport, he owns a small private plane that should be enough to fly two people back from Cuba.

Jones has gotten away and calls his superior Dmitry.

Dmitry: Is everything set?
Jones: Yes. We're on schedule. Is everything set on your end?
Dmitry: Yes. This is the last time we will speak, destroy your phone.
Jones: Understood.

Jones hung up and destroyed his burner phone. Dmitry knew that Jones would be dead soon, but no need to take foolish chances. He had to get back to work, the sun is just beginning to rise where he was, almost time to strike.

At the White House president Allen comes to speak with her son Horace and husband Rod.

Allen: What is it?
Horace: Three months ago I was with this girl, Karen. And, when I say I was with her...
Allen: I get the picture.
Horace: Anyway Karen got pregnant, and she had an abortion. We tried to keep it a secret, but someone found out.
Allen: Who?
Horace: I don't know, maybe someone who worked at the clinic, the point is someone found out. They're blackmailing her. More specifically, they want to blackmail you.
Allen: I take it Karen doesn't want it publicly known what she chose to do. And someone wants to humiliate the president's son. Let me ask, were you at the clinic holding her hand?
Horace: No, we both agreed that the president's son, could draw unwanted attention.
Allen: What did Karen want to do?
Horace: She was scared, confused. We both talked about it, and eventually agreed it might be best not to have a child at our age.
Allen: Did you pressure her?
Horace: I didn't threaten her or anything.
Allen: But you did try to lean her towards abortion?
Horace: Maybe. What now?
Allen: I want everything you know about the people trying to blackmail Karen. I will not give in to blackmail, ever. We'll do what we can to bring them down.
Horace: But they could still expose me and Karen.
Allen: I suggest you talk to Karen, help her to prepare for what might be coming. Be a man Horace.

Jack Bauer calls his beloved wife Audrey on the way to the airport. Most of the guests have already left and Audrey is cleaning up.

Audrey: Jack, are you coming back?
Jack: Not yet. I need to follow a lead, it might take awhile.
Audrey: Kim and Jamal are keeping Teri home from school tomorrow. Does this lead have anything to do with the attack?
Jack: I'm not sure. But it is time sensitive and I might be the only one who can get to it.
Audrey: I understand. I hope you can come back to us.
Jack: Me too Audrey, me too.
