From Cuba Jack Bauer tries to use Estaban's phone to call Aron Pierce and warn him about the upcoming attack against the White House. But so far nothing, the jungles of Cuba don't provide Jack with much cellphone service.

.

Nina: Jack we need to go, before Estaban's people realize he's dead and we're free.

Jack: Where can we go for better reception?

Nina: Follow me.

.

Jack knows Nina is more interested in surviving than in warning president Allen, but he can only hope that he can make this call from this area she's leading him to.

President Allen continues to work late from the Oval Office. Vice president Keaton tries to stifle a yawn.

.

Allen: Tired Warren?

Keaton: I was a general, this isn't my first time working late.

Allen: Still, maybe we should both get a little sleep.

Keaton: I'm not one to disobey orders from my president. I will have my letter of resignation tomorrow morning.

Allen: I'm sorry it's come to this. For what it's worth, it's been an honor to serve alongside of you.

Keaton: The honor has been mine madam president.

Horace tries to leave the White House. It's late at night, fewer Secret Service agents on duty. He is scared about what this person will demand from him, but more fearful what might happen if he doesn't show up. Horace is able to sneak past agent Tyler Gray. Tyler pretends not to notice, Horace is young and stupid enough to think he actually fooled him. Tyler had long believed war between America and Russia was inevitable, and arrogant enough to assume America would destroy his great enemy. He had become angry and frustrated over the diplomats who prevented what he assumed was God's will. Tyler was also angry about all these years of protecting the first family, spoiled brats who provided him with so much frustration, he would finally get his revenge, and the great war would begin.

Jack Bauer and Nina Myers continue to put as much distance between themselves and the cartel as possible.

.

Jack: Where exactly are we going?

Nina: A repair shop of sorts. The cartel uses an area near here to repair their planes in private. I can only hope that they'll be looking for us elsewhere, and that at least one plane will be servicable.

Jack: I let you go so that you could help me warn the president.

Nina; If the reception isn't good there, we can fly away to better reception.

Jack: I guess that will have to do.
