Chapter One

BACK TO WRITING STRONGER THAN EVER!

Summary: Jaylynn Nicole Mitchell embraced what it was like dealing with rangers at the age of 13. She loved her family for keeping her safe but how will things change as she finds out her Father kept the secret that her big brother is alive. This is her story as she navigates her life as she goes through the motions in Mariner Bay, Blue Bay Harbour and Reefside.

"Jaylynn Mitchell your late young lady!". A voice boomed as a energetic, short girl with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes entered the Aquabase. "Where have you been?"

"Sorry Dad but basketball practice ran late then me and Riley went for ice cream i'm sorry".

Captain Bill Mitchll crossed his arms with a smile. "its okay honey next time make sure you call alright. Dana should be back soon from bringing in the new rangers okay so go ahead and start your homework"

"Okay". She kissed his cheek and ran to her room. She was excited to meet the new rangers. She already knew Chad Lee since she grew up with his sister Riley as kids. Jay looked up as her door opened revealing her Dad, her older sister Dana along with four others.

"Rangers this is my youngest Jaylynn, Jay this is Carter, Joel, and Kelsey you already know Chad." Bill introduced as they all shook hands. "Let me warn you, she think she rules the base and she spends more time up at the lagoon with two whales then she does here".

Jay giggled at her father as he led them out. "Dad i have my homework done can i go swimming?

"Sure". The rangers jumped as a huge tap on the window in her room was heard. "Oops i guess she doesn't like strangers. Guys this is Crescent, she is one of the two orcas Chad, Riley and I set free last month. They stuck around". She informed them.

"This is so cool". Kelsey said with excitement. "Can we see them up close?"

"Maybe later rangers we have business to discuss" Captain Mitchell interupted. They groaned and followed him out.

"Oh Jay?"

"Yeah Dana?"

"Don't forget what today is, are you going to the site?"

"Yeah, i know i don't remember him Dana but i miss him". Jay told her sister. "I do wish Ryan was here"

"Okay be careful alright".

Jay nodded at her big sister and left the base. Jay walk to the outskirts and to the site of the accident that occured that fateful night. She was only a baby and wasn't even in the car but when she got old enough to understand her Father told her she had lost an older brother.

Jay had visited her Grandmother but stayed the weekend with her.

"I may not remember you Ryan but a part of me wishes you were here. Dana told me you loved me when i was born i wish i could return the favor". She whispered as the wind hit her face. She turned as the rescue rover pulled up and Carter got out.

"Hey your Dad said you were here so i thought i would pick you up".

Jay smiled warmly. "Thanks i guess he told you why i came here?"

Carter stood next to her. "Yeah i'm sorry it happened"

"Its okay i was a baby, i come here everytime his birthday comes around, he will be 20 tomorrow".

Carter led her to the rover. "Want to get ice cream?"

"Sure, so firefighter huh?"

He glanced over as he drove. "Yeah, so basketball player huh?"

"Yeah i love it. Me and Chad's sister are best friends so we are on the same team together".

Carter pulled up and parked in the parking lot. Jay jumped out to go get a chocolate sundae. Once they finished they went back to the base.

Once they got back she went to her room. She sneezed. "Man i hope i'm not getting sick".

Dana entered her room. "Jay you let your bag in the rover make sure you get it".

"Thanks Dana". She said with a felt her cheeks.

"Sis you have a slight temperature go talk to Miss Fairweather".

"Dana i'm fine". Jay waved it off. "I will get my bag then i will go to bed".

"Okay i just came from Dad's office like we always do, i left some cake for you if you want some". Dana told her sister with a smile. Jay smiled. She walked out of her room noticing how quiet it was since it was so late.

A guy in scuba gear quietly snuck around the hallway. He cursed when he saw the girl near the rover and the pool he had to use to escape.

Jay pulled her bag out of the rover. Jay turned to leave but was quickly grabbed from behind as a hand covered her mouth tightly. "Hmph!"

"Quiet brat, can't have you ruining my plan". He growled as she struggled against him. He took out a small dart and stuck it into her neck. "Shhh just relax".

Jay felt her eyes begin to close as her knees began to buckle. The guys adjusted his grip as she went limp. He picked her up and dove into the water back to skill cavern. Jay's bag left on the floor.

Skull Cavern...

Ryan Mitchell arrived back at Skull Cavern with the girl in his arms. "Who have we here?". Vypra asked him.

"She was in the base as i was taking the morpher, she would have blown my cover so i had no other choice to bring her here, who should i do with her?"

"Tie her up and lay her over there". Vypra told him. "The rangers will look for her".

Ryan laid her down leaning her against a metal column. He took the rope and tied her hands behind her back and tied her ankles. He secrued her to the column. He rubbed his eyes as he saw a flash of a baby in his arms. As Ryan stood up he noticed a huge scar on her elbow.

Vypra walked over stroking her cheek. She tied a thick cloth around her mouth tying it tight. "She seems familiar". Ryan whispered.

"Jaylynn". Ryan whispered with a growl. But confusion washed over him. Diabolico told her she had died to that night.

"Ryan you are not to reveal who you are too her, this is also your way of getting revenge on your family, now go destroy them".

Diabolico left the two of them alone. After some time Ryan just stood there watching her. He watched as she began to move.

Jaylynn opened her eyes and cried out as she noticed she was in the cold and shivering. She looked up to see a man in all black leaning against a wall. She made a noise under the cloth over her mouth.

Ryan walked over and pulled it down. "Please where am i? who are you?"

"Don't worry about who i am. You almost ruined my plans so i brought you here. Your in Skull Cavern". He told her. "What's your name?"

"Jaylynn Mitchell". She answered struggling weakly against her ropes. "Please let me go, why are you working for such a monster?"

"Because he is helping me get revenge on my family for what they did to me".

Jay looked up at him. "What did they do? do you have any brothers or sisters?"

"Doesn't matter anymore, and yes i have two younger sisters".

"Then they must still love you, i have an older sister. i had a brother but he died in a car accident". Ryan turned around to face her. "Please don't hurt my family. Don't listen to a demon". Ryan noticed she was turning red.

"Whats wrong with you?"

"I'm sick, please i just want to go home, my family will find me".

"We'll see if i don't destroy them first. Sit tight". He spoke as he adjusted the cloth over her mouth. He took one more glance and went through a portal. Jay began to feel tears in her eyes as she prayed Dana would find her.

Mariner Bay

The next morning the rangers arrived battered and bruised after they had just fought the titanium ranger.

"Guys he is no joke". Joel said frustrated wondering why Captain Mitchell told them to retreat.

"Sir we had him!" Carter yelled.

"This was our chance! our only chance!" Kelsey shouted.

"Sir why did you stop us?"

"I couldn't let you destroy my son". Captain Mitchell whispered turning around.

"But Father Ryan died in the car accident". Dana spoke.

"No Dana he didn't. We were coming from visiting your Grandmother. Jay stayed there for the weekend. There was a terrible storm. I only looked back for a second but we went over the cliff. I made a deal with Diabolico to save Ryan's life and was told he would return when he turned 20".

"And Today is his 20th birthday". Dana finished.

"Excuse me but Captain i am looking for Jay she told me she was sick and she never came for her medicine this morning". Miss Fairweather told them. "Her bag was found on the floor"

"Did she leave the base and go with Riley, it is a saturday". Chad asked.

"No i checked her keycard is in her bag".

"Miss Fairweather bring up the video feed from last night". Carter suggested. They watched in horror as Jay was attacked and taken out of the base.

"No he wouldn't". Dana whispered as Carter touched her shoulder. "If Ryan stole the morpher then why would he take her!?"

"She could blow his cover". Carter whispered. "Listen would Ryan know who she is?"

"I don't know, Diabolico has his brain twisted. Jay wasn't even in the car that night". Bill told them.

"Look we'll go and try and find him, Sir we will find Jay. Miss Fairweather how sick is she?" Carter asked with worry.

"Jay had a fever of 100.1 last night before bed, but Carter when she gets sick she gets sick really bad. She tends to get fluid on her lungs we need to find her". Dana answered.

Bill watched as they ran out of the base. He silently left himself hoping to find his son and youngest daughter.
