"I will not do this!"

"Yes you will!"

"Guys!" Carter Grayson yelled in annoyance at the two Mitchell siblings in front of him. "Ryan listen to her, i promise you will be fine".

"Have you seen them? they are huge". Ryan defended. Ryan and Jaylynn have been arguing about him going into the lagoon. It was his idea to spend the day with her just the two of them. Jaylynn wanted him to jump in with the two whales.

"Ryan we are still here aren't we" Joel spoke with a grin.

"Ryan please you wanted to get to know me and this is a part of my life". Jay spoke quietly.

"I didn't want to-" He stopped reaiizing what he was sayng.

"Didn't what? you didn't want to get to know me?"

"Jay-"

"No that's what you were going to say wasn't it. Last night i thought i was so tired i didn't hear it, you were talking to Dana and she said to Dad that at first you didn't want me to know you and now roles are reversed". Jay spoke silently. "Its okay i will go"

"Jay wait". Dana pleaded grabbing her arm. Jay yanked her arm away and hopped on her bike. Dana turned to Ryan. "You know today would have meant the world to her, Ryan she is trying to let you in and its time you let her or you will lose her".

Ryan looked at the rangers. "Ryan we all had our time with her pushing her away is not the answer". Carter spoke as they walked away.

"Look man we know you still have guilt for what you did but if you don't put it behind you she will never see you as the brother you want to be i should know. Me and Riley have had hard times. I have known Jay a long time and if she wanted to hate you she would have told you by now she wouldn't be wanting to share this with you". Chad told him joining the others leaving Ryan alone.

Ryan sighed as Crescent popped her head up. "Dana?" He spoke into his morpher. "Where did Jay go?"

"Knowing the time of day since its early she is probably at the park". Ryan grabbed the spare keys and headed to the rover. He drove to the park and walked around. He stopped when he saw her shooting hoops at the court.

Jay looked up when she saw Ryan walking towards her. "Go away i don't need a babysitter".

Ryan sighed as he sat at the picnic table. "Jay come on i'm trying here, you took what you heard out of context".

She dropped the ball. "Really well what i heard was you didn't want me to know you when you came back, now you don't want to get to know me so explain Ryan what did i hear wrong?!."

He patted the seat next to him for her to sit down. She sighed and sat next to him. "Jay i didn't want you to know me at first because who i used to be. I didn't want to you to hate me for wanting to destroy our family. I'm supposed to protect you not hurt you or Dana."

"Then why are you shutting me out?" She asked him. "Why are you keeping me at arms length?"

"Because i let Diabolico get his hands on you through me, i was afraid you hated me for it and that you were scared of me".

"Ryan if i was scared of you i wouldn't be trying to include you in my life, If i hated you i wouldn't have had the fun i had with you last night. For years i have always wanted you here even thought i was a baby Dana would tell me stories about you.". She linked her around around his waist. "I forgive you, its time you forgive yourself".

"You are one tough girl". He told her with a smile.

"I'm a Mitchell, its in our blood". She laughed out. She hopped off the table. She hopped on her bike. "Now its time for you to pull up your big boy pants and get in the water".

"Jay their killer whales".

"So..."

"So i would prefer to live past my twenties".

"Ryan if they wanted to eat everyone don't you think everyone would be gone or eaten by now?" She said raising an eyebrow.

He put her bike in the rover as she got in the passenger seat. He got in behind the wheel. "Don't you think i would be eaten by now?"

He shared a glance with her. "Okay fine".

She cheered as he drove to the base. As they entered the base and Jay ran to her room.

"Wow you're still alive". Carter smiled.

"Not for long if one of those whales eat me". Ryan sighed.

Carter guided him to the lift to join the others at the lagoon. Carter led him to the end of the dock to find Dana and Kelsey. They were throwing the ball back and forth. "Where are Chad and Joel?"

"Chad had to run to check on Riley since she has a horrible cold and Joel is somewhere". Kelsey answered Carter.

"CANONBALL!" Jay yelled running passed them jumping in the water. Once she surfaced she was on Crescents back. Carter laughed as he dove in. "Come on goofy she won't eat you, Crescent is the nice one"

"Yeah Arrow in the grumpy one". Dana told him swimming up leaning her arms on the dock.

"Comforting Dana thanks". Ryan yelled out as he was pushed from behind. Once he surfaced he saw the grin on his father's face. "Thanks Dad"

"Rangers don't stay out to long". He yelled at them with a smile laying towels down.

Ryan yelped as he felt a nudge behind him. "Ryan its okay". Jay shared a glance with Dana.

"Jay is it me or is Arrow getting along with him?"

"Its weird usually Arrow doesn't go around anyone not even me all the time". Jay finished. Jay grabbed Crescent's dorsal and dove under.

"Ryan grab his fin and let him show you what you need to see". Kelsey yelled. Ryan hesitated bit let the whale pull him under the water. Ryan watched in amazement as his baby sister twirled around with the hige animal. Once she finished Crescent guided her to the suface. Ryan swam up.

He swam over to where she was floating her her back. He got an idea, he swam under her lifting her up on his shoulders.

"Dork". She laughed out. "Told you that you wouldn't be eaten". She squealed as she fell off.

"Okay rangers time to get out!" They all groaned at Captain Mitchell. "Now".

Once they got out they headed inside. Jay changed and sat on her bed brushing her hair. "Jay bedtime".

"Yes Dad". Bill kissed her goodnight as Ryan walked in since he shared the room with her. Ryan watched as the whales looked in through the window.

"Watching you today Jay with them makes me wish even more that i didn't miss thirteen years of our life". Ryan spoke sadly. "What did you mean when you said Arrow never goes around anyone?"

Jay put her brush down. "When Arrow came to the aquarium he was a injured and no one never paid much attention to him so he never got to on the other hand got seperated from her pod as a calf and got all the attention since people thought Arrow was going to die. They were put in the same tank and now they are mates"

"So why me?" Ryan asked as Arrow swam up to the window.

"I don't know, the only other person he goes around is me." Jay answered walking up to her brother. "Maybe he senses that you want to look out for me like he looks our for Crescent".

Jay walked over and climbed under the bed covers and laid her pillow under her head. "When we set them free they stuck around the lagoon so when Dad told me about the demons and the rangers being formed i knew i would be safe and that i could have the normal childhood i wanted. Those whales are also my family. Ryan i now have the family i always wanted".

Ryan sat on his bed across from her. "Jay have you ever thought about what will happen when this is all over?"

"All the time". She rolled onto her stomach. "I want things to go back to normal". Ryan nodded as he watched sleep take over her.

Ryan took one more glance at the two whales then his sister. He vowed to end all this with the help of the other rangers. Jay would get the normal he deserved.
