Ampata the Mummy
A/N I am not gunning for Dawn/Xander believe me, eww, but she did have a little kid crush on him so.

Dear Diary,
There was a girl in Buffy's bedroom. Her name was Ampata, she was an exchange student from South America. Or at least, she was supposed to be. Me and Willow camped out on the couch when she first arrived because she was all over Xander, she was really pretty so we were the jealous club. That's what Buffy called us after he went home. She was weird, I thought she was creepy. But she had great style, I have to give her that.
She was supposed to live with us for two weeks. But I guess that didn't happen because she turned out to be an Incan mummy. I think she even tried to kill Xander. Buffy told me that she went totally crazy and tried to kill Willow first and that Xander wouldn't let her. I kinda wish I was there, it sounded totally exciting.
Mom said that she quite liked Ampata and she was sad she had to go back to South America. Buffy didn't tell her she was a mummy, she only told me. She did show me the dead body in her chest though, creepy. But cool. I wrote some notes about it down in my journal for further research.
Just before they went to the dance, Xander showed up at our house. He was dressed like a Native American I think, I'm not entirely sure he knew what he was dressed as but he was wearing a poncho. I laughed at him and he told me off in his nice, kind of playful way. But then Ampata came down the stairs and totally took his whole attention away from me. He stared at her, she was wearing this dress, and lipstick! I was definitely not allowed to wear lipstick. I folded my arms and stood by the stairs whilst Xander practically drooled and Buffy told him she wasn't going to the dance. He was a little sad but he was still going on a date so not that sad. He told Buffy to be careful. Which is nice, I can tell that he really cares about her.
The next time I saw him he told me how awesome Ampata was, it was a little tainted with his annoyance because of her being the mummy and everything, but it still sounded like he was into her. It's sad that he doesn't see how much I love him.
Overall, I think having an exchange student stay in our house was kinda pointless because I don't think Buffy actually learnt anything about her culture. I did learn that mummies exist and not to cross them. Which I guess is a good thing. I also learnt just by Willow's face that she was just as bummed out by Ampata as I was.
