Dear Diary,
So first of all, there was chocolate everywhere. Mom and Giles were arguing with Buffy about scheduling and independence. I didn't hesitate to remind her how bad at driving she was, and then mom got mad and told me to go to. It was a little weird how much time Giles' had been spending at our house lately. It was also weird that mom had started spending time at Giles' house too.
Mom's first mistake was to let Buffy drive the car. She's still terrible and it's been years. I mostly drive her around now. She came and picked me up because she was supposed to be watching me. And then we picked Willow up, she kept looking back and awkwardly smiling at me, checking I was still okay, I think she was as scared of the terrible driving as I was. Buffy pulled up outside the Bronze and left me in a corner. Everything was so weird, there were far too many grownups, not that I'd spent much time at the Bronze back then.
I was walking around, bumping into my teachers which totally freaked me out so I ran back to Buffy and Willow who were looking around perplexed. Buffy ran back outside, "we need to find Giles." She yelled as we all piled into the car. We didn't really fit, so my shoulders were completely squashed between Oz and Principal Snyder. It was awful. We were headed down the road too fast, caught in the middle of two joy racers. I screamed as a car came in from the left and hit us, the trunk spinning. But we were okay, Buffy stopped the car and we all piled out of the car again.
"Buffy," I whined, because I didn't like this. We were going to get in trouble for this, Buffy was supposed to be looking after me. I just wanted to go home. Willow and Oz left for the library, Buffy made me go with them because it would be safer than on the streets.
We met up with Xander and Cordelia at the library, him and Willow kept looking at each other awkwardly. Then she got this phone call, she was rifling through books trying to find something when she just stopped. "Lurconis, Lurconis. Ah here," she said, "Lurconis eats babies. Babies?!" She told Buffy that the demons would probably hit the hospital first. Then they just left me there and ran to the hospital to try and explain what'd happened.
I must've sat in the library for hours, it was a while before Buffy remembered to pick me up. She tried to explain what'd happened, but I got most of it from the the trip to the Bronze. She failed to tell me what mom had been up to with Giles, but I found out most of that story from Willow later.
