Chapter 44: The Brimstone Flu
One early morning in Moxxie and Millie's home, the couple is fast asleep in their bed. Moxie lets out a snore and grunt as he turns his and continues sleeping.
All of a sudden, a "Meow!" Is heard.
However, Moxxie continues to sleep in his bed.
He then hears another, "Meow! Meow!"
Moxxie grumbles and says, "Randall, would you stop meowing? I'm trying to sleep."
Suddenly, he feels something climbing on his face with a, "Meow! Meow! Meow!"
Moxxie slowly opens his eyes and says, with irritated sleep, "Randall, how many times do I have to tell you about sneaking into our…."
However, he stops to not see the Chameleon demon looking at him, but the little Calico Kitten.
"Mimmy? What are you doing in our bed and on my face?" Moxxie asks, and lets out a yawn
Mimmy continues to, "Meow! Meow! Meow! Meow!" and continues meowing.
Soon, Millie wakes up as she lets out a yawn, "What's going on?"
"Mimmy woke me up and won't stop meowing," Moxxie says.
Mimmy continues, "Meow! Meow! Meow! Meow!"
Millie then picks up Mimmy, "Hey there darlin, why are you meowing so much? You want some attention?"
"Meow Meow Meow Meow Meow!" Mimmy meows, sounding distressed.
"I don't speak cat, but perhaps something's wrong," Moxxie says.
Mimmy then leaves Millie's arms, jumps off the bed, and runs to the door.
Moxxie climbs out of bed, "I'm going to see what it is."
"I'll come too," Millie says, and climbs out of bed as well.
The couple soon follows Mimmy down the hall and to the door. Mimmy begins to scratch her paws against the door.
"Ain't that the bathroom?" Millie questions.
Suddenly, they hear the sound of barfing and gagging, and the voice sounds familiar which has them worried.
Millie knocks on the door, "Blitz, are you in there? Blitz, are you okay?"
Moxxie opens the door as well, "Blitz, can you hear us?!" Moxxie knocks harder, "Blitz, are you okay? Answer us! Open the door!"
Just then, they hear a click form the door and it opens to reveal Blitz. Not wearing anything but his red boxers, and he doesn't look like he's in the best of shape. His cheeks are a little green, his body looks weak and aching, exhausted, and looks very out of breath Moxxie and Millie are shocked to see the state Blitz is in.
"Blitz, what happened?! You're not looking so hot!" Millie asks, shocked.
"I… I'm oh…" But then, Blitz begins coughing and hacking.
Before long, Blitz collapses on the floor.
"Blitz!" The couple cries out in shock.
Moxxie kneels down and touches Blitz's forehead, "Shit! You're having a terrible fever!"
"Wha-what's wrong with…" And Blitz begins coughing and throws up a bit.
Millie and Moxxie look at each other in concern and can tell that Blitz is very ill.
Moxxie turns to Millie, "Millie, you help Blitz and get him dressed. I'm going to call Dr. Koko to make an emergency appointment and uh, clean up the mess."
"Sure Moxxie," Millie says.
Then picks up Blitz, "Come on Blitz, let's get you dressed and into bed."
But when she begins to touch Blitz, she notices how much sweat Blitz has on his body.
"But first, y'all gonna need a bath," Millie says.
Millie then takes Blitz to the bathroom so she can get him cleaned up. Moxxie picks up Mimmy so she doesn't get too close to the stuff Blitz vomits on the floor as he holds the phone.
On the phone, Koko's voice appears, "Hello this is Dr. Koko, how may I help you?"
"Hello doctor, I'm really relieved you called. This is Moxxie, and we have an emergency call. Can you come over right away, or perhaps we can try going to your office?" Moxxie says.
"Oh hello Moxxie, it's nice to hear you. Are you feeling alright?" Koko happily says on the phone.
"I'm doing fine today. Sadly, I can't say the same about Blitz. He's terribly sick, he was vomiting, his body looks weak, and looks very tired and dizzy, and his body is sweating. He is also experiencing a high fever. I'm not sure if we can take him there without him vomiting or on the verge of passing out," Moxxie says.
"Do not worry about your pretty little head. I'll be in just a few. Just make sure you give Blitz a nice warm bath, and get the poor dear to bed, and I'll be right there," Koko says.
"Thank you. We'll see you soon," Moxxie says.
Minutes later, after cleaning Blitz and cleaning the mess from Blitz's sickness, Koko has already arrived and examined Blitz to figure out why he's so sick. She checks his temperature, checks his heart, and other examinations. Moxxie and Mille watch anxiously as Mimmy is sleeping near Blitz hoping to make him comfortable.
"How is he?" Millie asks.
"Well, fortunately, Blitz's life isn't in danger of deathly illness. However, he is having a severe case of the Brimstone Flu," Koko says.
"The Brimstone Flu? Ain't that just coughs and sneezes, and tiredness and all that. It's no different than a normal flu. Except your body ends up with an increase in temperature, but don't usually those just go away in a few days," Millie says.
"That's true. However, it's usually for children. But for adults, its symptoms are more severe as you can see and can last longer depending on the condition," Koko says.
"What about Blitz's condition?" Moxxie asks.
"Well, from the looks of it, I would have to say that Blitz's illness is more severe than others who have this illness. I would have to estimate that it will take around two to three weeks for him to recover" Koko says.
"Three Weeks?!" The couple exclaim in shock.
"Yes," Koko says.
"But why does Blitz have it? Usually the Brimstone Flu usually happens when they're young, and can only have it once in your life," Moxxie asks.
"Perhaps, however, it appears that Blitz never experienced it as a child. Probably because of his previous living conditions. However he's currently living in Hell, he could get the illnesses like you do, but it would be more extreme. Of course, it's only a theory. However, what matters is that since Blitz has the flu now, he's going to need looking after for the next two to three weeks," Koko says.
Then says, "I'll be coming by every three days to check on him, and to give him his shot for the flu." and brings out the needle.
"Thank you Dr. Koko," Moxxie says.
"It's no problem. It's my job after all," Koko says.
She then gives Blitz a shot to inject some of the medicine to get better. Of course Blitz is asleep so he doesn't feel the pain from the shot at all.
Then Koko gives Moxxie a small stack of paper stapled together, "Now, here is what you need to do to help Blitz get better with some information on the flu. There is a list of medicine, food, drinks, and any kind of remedies to help Blitz feel better. Along the list of the website with recipes to the food and drinks he can have. And make sure he gets plenty of rest."
"You got it," Millie says.
"Alright. I'll be heading off. Take care," Koko says, and leaves the house.
Millie and Moxxie soon look at Blitz, looking deeply concerned to see Blitz coughs in his sleep. He looks very unwell.
"What are we going to do, Moxxie?" Millie asks.
"I'm not entirely sure. We need to stay with Blitz, but we also need to get to work, and I don't think it's good to leave Blitz alone," Moxxie says.
"Me neither," Millie says.
Moxxie then brings out his phone, "I'll call the others and explain what happened."
Moments later, after calling the others, they arrive at Moxxie and Millie's house to see for themselves. It's a shock to see the condition Blitz is in.
"Oh no! He got the Brimstone Flu!" Berry says in shock.
Everyone is in Blitz's room as he coughs and hacks, and sneezes a bit.
"Shit. That has to be the worst case of the Brimstone Flu I've ever seen," Drew says.
"Wow Blitz, you look really bad," Loona says.
"I understand why you called," Razor says.
"Yes. We want to let you know that we might need to take some time off of work to take care of him. Blitz is obviously in no condition to take care of himself," Moxxie says.
Sarge thinks a bit, "Hmm." Then says, "Perhaps we could give you a hand."
"Are you sure?" Millie asks.
"Yeah. We're not going to have any business going to the human world this week," Randall says.
"Oh right. Stolas is going to need his grimoire for the week for some important business in another Ring," Moxxie says.
"Exactly. Besides, it looks like you guys could use some help," Berry says.
"As long as you all are sure," Millie says with a smile, "Besides, I'm sure Blitz will be very happy to see you guys. Even if he is sick."
"And if I remember, we all had the Brimstone Flu, so we can't catch it again. It will be safe for us to take care of Blitz and go into his room," Sarge says.
"That's right. We can take turns taking care of him and make sure Blitz has something to eat, and keep a close eye on him," Millie says.
"At least we already got the flu before so we may know what to do about the situation," Berry says.
"Has Blitz eaten anything yet?" Drew asks.
"Sadly no. He's been throwing up since earlier this morning, and he doesn't look like he can stomach having some food," Moxxie says.
"Maybe we could give him some broth or some soup for him," Razor says.
Moxxie holds the paper, "Dr. Koko gave me some papers on what we can do to help Blitz get better since his illness is a severe case."
"Why would we need some silly manual anyway?" Randall questions.
Sarge turns to Randall, "Because it's very important, especially since this is the first time Blitz is experiencing an illness. Never expected him to get the Brimstone Flu, and a critical condition at that."
"Alright, you stated your point," Randall says, shrugging his shoulders.
Then turns to Moxxie, "So what does that manual say?"
"Well, I've already read everything and there are different remedies and medicine for Blitz to take. Along with food he's able to have, mainly liquids because Blitz is able to eat much. We must also make sure to give him warm baths and change his clothes and sheets daily because his body is feeling very warm and is sweating quite a bit… actually enough to fill a quarter bucket," Moxxie explains.
"Millie, Berry, and I can go to the store and get some ingredients and other stuff Blitz can have," Drew says.
"I know a pharmacy to go to for the medicine and remedies," Sarge says.
Then Loona says, "I'll go with you dad."
"I'll stay here and keep an eye on Blitz. I can tell you and Millie did some of the work, but it wouldn't hurt for at least someone to stay here to watch over him," Razor says.
"I'll stay as well. I might have some broth and tea bags in the cabinet for the time being," Moxxie says.
Randall then asks, "Anything I can do to help."
"Well, you can either stay with us to help watch over Blitz, or help the other find groceries and medicine," Moxxie says. He then looks at the medical papers and says, "It would be helpful if we have those herbs."
"What herbs?" Loona questions.
"Well, I remember when I was little and when I had the Brimstone Flu, my mother used these special herbs to make this herbal tea and it's a good ingredient for the soup she made. My father got it from an acquaintance of his. He does gardening especially with herbal remedies as a hobby," Moxxie says.
"I remember the herb you're talking about. They're called Gardenia Leaves," Sarge says.
"That's right. They are very rare herbs, but work wonders with remedies and medicines, especially for the Brimstone Flu. It would be very helpful if we have some of them on us. But they do require specific instructions. I remember from when I got sick so I might be able to whip up something for him," Moxxie says.
Randall thinks for a minute then has an idea, "I think I have an idea where to find them." Then asks, "Do you have a picture of them?"
"Yes. I'll send a copy to your phone," Moxxie says, and brings out the phone to take a picture and sends it to Randall.
Randall looks at his phone to see the picture of the plant. The plant has dark green leaves with what appears to be red highlights on the edges. They also look prickly on the side and a bit fuzzy. They are in a bush that has crimson red flowers on it with yellow highlights on the inner area of the flowers.
"Huh, they actually look pretty," Berry says.
"And very rare," Moxxie says.
Then Millie turns to Randall, "Are you sure you can find them?"
"I might know a place or two, but I think I can find it," Randall says.
"Okay then, let's start heading out and get all the stuff for Blitz's illness," Millie says.
Soon enough, everyone but Moxxie and Razor head out to find all the items they need for Blitz' illness.
At the grocery store, Drew, Berry, and Millie are gathering the broths, tea bags, along with liquids and some soft food that Blitz could eat.
Millie brings out some of the carton and cans, "Here you go. I'm sure these will help." and place them in the car."
"I think we got a good amount of stuff we need. Still, I can't believe Blitz ended up with the Brimstone Flu of all illnesses," Drew says.
"I know, but we should have suspected it. Blitz lived a different, living environment than we did so the Illnesses we get aren't known to him. I guess we should have realized that Blitz would be getting one of Hell's illnesses sooner or later," Berry says.
"What matters is taking care of the illness Blitz is having now, and being more cautious in case he gets any more illnesses," Drew says.
The three then begin to head to the registrar to purchase the many items they have found for Blitz's Brimstone Flu.
In a pharmacy outside of the city, Sarge and Loona are gathering some medicines and other remedies that are needed for the Brimstone Flu. Luckily, Sarge knows the flu well because he had it himself and Loona had it when she's a child.
Loona walks over to Sarge with the basket of medical boxes and jars, "Hey dad, think we got everything."
Sarge looks at the basket and says, "I think that's enough for the time being."
"Good. I remember how much of a pain in the ass it was when I had the flu, and it's more concerning to see someone else has it," Loona says.
"I agree, but Blitz is a special case. The best we can do is watch over him and see what we can do if Blitz has any more illnesses that might become critical," Sarge says.
Loona sighs, "I get that we need to watch over Blitz, train him, and teach him stuff, but it feels like we're watching over a child in the body of an adult."
"I'm not sure about that analogy, but we all agreed to help him. It's just so Blitz will know how to take care of himself and defend himself, Sarge says.
"Yeah. You're right. We all agreed to help Blitz in learning to survive this Hellhole," Loona says.
Then wonders, "There is one thing I'm wondering right now. Where do you think Randall is going to get those herbs?"
"That's something I don't know. However, I can't help but worry about it," Sarge says.
"Yeah. Knowing Randall, he's probably going to get it from somewhere that will end up getting him into trouble," Loona says.
Meanwhile, Randall arrives in what looks like a large and fancy looking greenhouse. He then brings out his knife and uses it to pick the lock, and opens the door. He soon walks inside to see so many different plants and herbs, including carnivorous plants.
"Yep. This looks like the place. If anyone is going to have rare plants and herbs, it's him. Besides, this is all for a good cause so I'm sure he won't mind," Randall says.
He soon begins to explore around the green house, "Now then, where are these Gardenia Plants?"
Randall begins to walk around to find the herbs. He looks past some of the plants and trees. However, because of his tail, he ends up knocking down a few potted plants and such, and ends up crushing a few plants when some of the carnivorous plants try to eat him. He ends up grabbing some vines and tying the mouths of two of the larger ones.
Randall still looks around, "How can it be hard to find a few herbs?" and continues to search around for the herbs.
Soon enough, Randall spots the herbs he's looking for. What's more, it's a rather large bush of Gardenia leaves with the leaves and flowers from the picture.
"Perfect," Randall says.
Randall then picks up the plant by the pot and is able to sneak out without anyone noticing. However, there is still the mess that Randall left behind, and it will soon lead into trouble.
Sometime later, at the house, Moxxie is in Blitz's room, checking on how the sick Imp is doing.
"How are you feeling, Blitz?" Moxxie asks.
"Not very good to be honest," Blitz says, and his voice sounds hoarse.
"You think you're able to have something to eat?" Moxxie asks.
"No chance," Blitz answers.
"Then I'll make you some broth to drink. It will settle you over for now," Moxxie says.
Mimmy plays with her toy as she stays in one spot on the bed, and soon lets out a yawn. Moxxie soon leaves the room. But as soon as Moxxie leaves, Blitz's body begins to emit some strange crimson red glow around his body, and disappears soon after.
Outside of the room, Moxxie walks down the stairs and heads into the kitchen to heat Blitz up some broth so he'll have something in his stomach.
Razor turns to Moxxie and asks, "How's Blitz?"
"Still very sick. I'm going to make him some broth so he can at least have something," Moxxie says.
Soon, the door opens and Millie enters the house with Drew and Berry with the groceries.
"We're back," Millie happily says.
"I think we got everything we needed for the first week, maybe longer," Drew says.
"Great. Can you guys put them away, I'm heating something for Blitz," Moxxie says.
"Sure sweetie," Millie happily says.
As Millie, Drew, and Berry head to the kitchen to put the stuff away, Sarge, Loona, and Randall return with the stuff they need.
"Hey guys, we got all the medicine and junk," Loona says.
Then Randall presents the plant, "And I got the Gardenia Leaves."
"Wow. You really found it," Moxxie says, impressed.
Razor walks to Randall giving him a suspicious look, "Yeah. Where did you get that plant anyway?"
"Oh I have my ways. What's important is that we got the leaves to help with Blitz's flu, so no need to worry," Randall says.
"For some reason, there is something to worry with you around," Berry says, annoyed.
"There's always something to worry about when Randall's involved," Loona says.
"Oh ye have little faith," Randall says, rolling his eyes. "Just trust me on it, and maybe we can make Blitz some tea with those leaves."
"Fine," Moxxie replies.
And with that, Moxxie makes some broth and uses the Gardenia Leaves to make some tea for Blitz. According to Moxxie, the tea that uses Gardenia leaves has a sweet and bitter taste. Throughout the week, the I.M.P crew takes turns taking care of Blitz, making him eat or drink, get some sleep, help him bathe and change his sweaty clothes, anything they need to do to help Blitz feel better. Of course, Koko comes by every other day or so to give Blitz the injection medicine for his illness.
A Week Later:
Everyone is at Moxxie and Millie's house to check how Blitz is doing.
"So how's Blitz doing?" Randall asks.
"He's starting to feel a little better, but he still needs a lot of time before he's fully healed. The good news is he stopped vomiting and sweating so much, but he's still coughing, sneezing, and very weak and tired," Moxxie explains.
"And the Gardenia Leaves Randall brought really help. Sadly, Blitz is still also having trouble talking because of his sore throat," Millie says.
"At least it's progress, and it sounds like Blitz is slowly getting better," Berry says.
"We just have to wait a little longer, maybe another week or so before Blitz is all better," Drew says.
"Well then, since Blitz is happily sleeping in his room, what do you wanna do?" Millie asks.
"I know. Let's head to the new bar down the street. I heard the food's taste…" But before Randall can finish, screeching sounds appear as the door bursts through.
They turn to see a frightening black and red demonic bird standing at the busted door in pure fury.
Followed by a familiar demonic voice, "RANDALL!"
Everyone flinches in shock and fright to see the demonic bird standing before them. Before Randall can react, a claw grabs Randall by the neck and soon changes back to the Great Goetia Prince Stolas, and he has pure anger in his eyes.
Still in a demonic tone, Stolas says, "Randall, I have the right of mind to turn you into a statue and use you as a decoration for the damages you caused."
Randall nervously chuckles, "Oh hey Stolas. A pleasure seeing you again. How was business?"
"Don't you dare change the subject, you slithering reptile!" Stolas angrily says, clutching his neck, "You are going to pay dearly for the damages you caused!"
"Your highness, please calm down!" Moxxie calls out.
"Stop it, Stolas! Let go of him!" Berry says.
"Yeah. He's just an idiot!" Drew says.
Randall glares at Drew, "Hey, I'm not that much of an idiot!"
"Oh you are a complete fuckin idiot for what you did to my greenhouse!" Stolas says, still upset.
"Greenhouse?" Loona questions, arching an eyebrow.
Sarge then asks, "Stolas, what happened?"
"I came back home from the meeting late last night, and when I got up this morning to check on my plants, I found that someone broke the lock to my greenhouse, some of my potted plants were knocked down and some of my flowerbeds were crushed, and a few of my other plants have vines tied around their mouths! And one of my rare herbs was missing! When I looked at the security camera, I saw Randall breaking into my greenhouse and walking out with my rare Gardenia Plant!" Stolas explains and his hands and eyes glow red.
"Did you say Gardenia plant?" Millie asks, in shock.
"The one Randall brought over last week?" Moxxie asks, just as shocked.
Randall nervously chuckles and says, "Yeah. That's the one."
In Blitz's room, the sick Imp and his pet kitten are fast asleep. Suddenly, loud noises begins to take place out of the room, follow by a lot of shouting with words like 'Are you fuckin kidding?!' 'I can't believe you?!' 'Is this a shitty joke?!' A lot of shouting and screaming coming from outside. Blitz soon begins to slowly wake up with a groan and grunt and slowly sits up, using little strength he has. Blitz lets out a yawn and begins coughing. Still weak and tired, Blitz gets out of bed, puts on his slippers, and wraps himself with his blanket. He then slowly walks out of the room and walks down the stairs. When he reaches close to the lower floors, he sees multiple blurs and muffling shouting and such. However, because of his illness, he can't tell that in reality, Stolas and the others are viciously scolding Randall for wrecking Stolas' greenhouse and stealing one of his plants.
Still feeling hoarse, Blitz says, "Guys… guys… Excuse me… Guys, what's going on…" However, Blitz's voice is so sore that it hurts for him to talk and his voice is very soft. Blitz soon begins to cough and hack and begins to feel fizzy again.
During the argument, Stolas glares at Randall, "Randall, you have ten seconds to explain to me why you wrecked my greenhouse to take my plant and what you did with them, or I'll be feeding you to my plants! I'm sure they'll be in the mood for some chameleon meat!"
Randall gulps nervously and says, "Okay okay, but I have a very good reason to take it. Besides, some of them ended up in Blitz's stomach."
"What does Blitz's stomach have to do with you stealing my plants and destroying my greenhouse?!" Stolas demands in anger.
They soon hear a loud thud, causing everyone to turn to see Blitz is lying on the floor next to the stairs.
Stolas gasps in shock as he drops Randall, "Blitz?!" and rushes over to him.
Stolas kneels down and picks Blitz up, "Blitz, are you okay? Are you hurt?" Then Stolas touches Blitz's forehead and becomes shocked, "You're burning up!"
Then turns to the others as he stands up, "Can someone tell me what is going on here?"
Berry sighs and explains, "Blitz has the Brimstone Flu, and it's a severe case because Blitz is getting it as an adult and has never experienced Hell's illness before."
"Moxxie also explains that Gardenia Leaves from a Gardenia plant can help with the flu if you brew them into tea or cook them in soup," Sarge says.
Then Razor glares at Randall who is rubbing his neck, "And this idiot decided to go get the plant from your greenhouse and not in a store like a normal person."
Millie walks to Blitz, "Blitz are you okay? What are you doing out of bed?"
Blitz slowly opens his, still sick, weakened, and kind of dazed. Still having a sore throat, Blitz answers, "All… all the shouting woke me up. I was wondering what's going on?" Then coughs a bit.
"Well Blitz, as you can see, we're giving Randall a severe scolding that he stole Stolas' Gardenia plants," Moxxie says. He then sighs and says, "What's more, we've been using them for your teas and soup."
"Oh… I… I didn't know…" Blitz says, still tried.
"Don't apologize, it's Randall who took Stolas plants and wrecked his greenhouse," Drew says, annoyed.
"But still, you all were using the plants to help me. I kind of feel responsible and…" But Stolas places his finger over Blitz's lips, stopping him from talking.
"Don't try to talk. I can see that you're very ill, and need to get some rest. Now then, time for you to get back to bed," Stolas says.
He then walks up the stairs and takes Blitz to his room, leaving the others behind.
Randall then asks, "So then, does that mean I'm off the hook."
Soon, Berry smacks Randall's head with a frying pan, knocking him out, "You are far from off the hook Randall. More like you're deeply on the hook."
"And we can start by using Randall's paycheck to pay for the damages. I have to say around half a year worth of salary depending on the damages he has done, and will be fixing the damages to Stolas' greenhouse," Sarge points out.
Moments later in Blitz's room, Stolas has lay Blitz in his bed and tucks him in. He then lies on the bed next to him. Blitz is still very weak and tired that he feels like falling asleep. Blitz slowly opens his eyes again to see Stolas.
"Stolas…" Blitz softly says.
"Hmm," Stolas replies, and places his hand on Blitz's cheek.
"I'm sorry… about your plants…" Blitz softly says.
"Don't worry about it. It's not your fault. Personally, I blame Randall for it. He should have just called or asked me for my Gardenia Plants. I wouldn't mind lending them to him if I knew you were sick," Stolas says, and is still slightly upset.
"Oh, maybe I could…" Blitz says.
"No Blitz. This is Randall's responsibility that he has to take care of. You should focus on getting some rest," Stolas says.
"Yeah, but…" Blitz soon coughs and hacks, "It's not easy sleeping with his bad cough. I was able to stop vomiting and sweating a lot two days ago."
"That's good to hear," Stolas says.
He then shows concern and asks, "How long have you been like this?"
"It's already been a week. The doctor said that mine will take two to three weeks," Blitz says.
"Oh dear," Stolas says, concerned.
Then gently rubs his cheek and rubs his forehead, "I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. And I'm sure the others are as well."
"I know. I really want to get better, but this Brimstone Flu is not making it easy for me," Blitz says.
"Do not worry. If you want, I could help take care of you," Stolas says.
"Ar-are you sure? I mean, you're probably already busy with your work and the others are already doing a lot already, so I don't want to trouble you or anyone else, especially after what happened to your greenhouse," Blitz says.
But Stolas says, "Blitz, I'm doing it because I want to. The others do as well. So do not worry about anything else. Focus on getting better."
"Okay," Blitz softly says, and soon begins to close his eyes.
Stolas gently lies down and slowly wraps his arm around Blitz, pulling him closer and has the Imp's head laying on his chest. Stolas smiles to see how comfortable Blitz is and will do what he can to help Blitz feel better from the Brimstone Flu. Stolas soon begins rubbing Blitz's back as he begins humming a little tune.
Blitz slowly opens his eyes to ask, "What's that melody you're humming, it seems… nice."
"Oh, it's a lullaby I used to sing to Octavia when she was little. It always helps put her to sleep," Stolas says.
"That's nice," Blitz says, and begins to cough and hack in pain.
Blitz yawns and says, "It's been hard for me to get some sleep with this flu."
Stolas then has an idea in mind. He actually brings out his grimoire and floats it toward him with his telekinesis. Then uses his magic to open the pages to the book.
"I understand Blitz, Octavia was the same when she was sick," Stolas says, and picks up Blitz and holds him in his arms, "And I'm sure this lullaby will help comfort you, my dear Blitzy."
Stolas:
It always seems more quiet in the dark
Stolas then opens the portal above them. Blitz looks up in awe of the beauty of space through the portal.
Stolas:
It always feels so stark…
Then Stolas picks up Blitz and floats through the portal and into the cosmos.
Stolas:
How silence grows under the moon
Constellations gone so soon
And soon, Stolas lands on the barren moon.
Stolas:
I used to think that I was bold
Walking on the moon, Stolas leaves footprints in the dust.
Stolas:
I used to think love would be fun
Now all my stories have been told except for one
Then Stolas looks down at Blitz, and he looks back with his curious eyes. Soon his gaze shifts to a bright pink glow to his side.
Stolas:
As the stars start to align
I hope you take it as a sign
Stolas and Blitz watch as a meteor begins its descent towards a giant, pink colored star.
Stolas:
That you'll be okay
Everything will be okay
Then Stolas sits on a small rock and holds Blitz close in his arms.
Stolas:
And if the Seven Rings collapse
Although the day could be my last
Multiple planetary bodies begin gravitating toward the pink star, including the moon that Stolas and Blitz currently reside on, which eventually shatters into pieces as the star's gravity pulls on it
Stolas:
You will be okay
When I'm gone you'll be okay
Feeling tired, Blitz lets out a yawn and falls asleep against Stolas' chest.
Stolas:
And when Creation goes to die
Distant planetary bodies fly through the cosmos, pulled in by the pink star's incredible gravitational pull.
Stolas:
You can find me in the sky
They disintegrate upon impact and cause the star to explode in a powerful supernova just as the portal closes behind Stolas.
Stolas:
Upon the last day
Then Stolas tucks the sleeping Blitz under the covers and gently rubs the Imp's left cheek. The sleeping Imp let out a sigh in reply
Stolas:
And you will be okay
Stolas then leans to the sleeping Blitz and gently gives him a kiss on his forehead.
Stolas softly says with a smile, "Sweet dreams, Blitzy."
And with that, Stolas leaves the room and gently closes the door. Blitz continues to sleep in the bed peacefully. However, like before, Blitz's body begins to glow a crimson red aura, but seems more dimmed. Blitz is sleeping so peacefully, that he isn't aware of the strange aura around his body.
Two Weeks Later:
Blitz is all better from the Brimstone Flu, and is glad to finally be out of bed. Everyone is at the Goetia Estate to let Stolas know how well Blitz is. After being in bed, Blitz still feels a bit weak and tired, but it's good to see he's not sick anymore. However, Randall is still fulfilling his punishment. Besides having his salary reduced to pay for damages, and having to fix the damages he has done to the greenhouse, Randall is forced by Stolas to take care of his plants for three months and will have his plants punish him if he slacks off. Meanwhile, the others are at the backyard of Stolas' estate having some lunch and a chat.
Loona chuckles, "You surely picked a cruel punishment, Stolas."
"I happen to think it's a fitting punishment. To be honest, I remember one of Randall's antics caused a ruckus, Stella wanted me to punish him by feeding him to my plants," Stolas says.
"True, but I think it's a more fitting punishment to have him take care of your plants instead," Moxxie says. "Besides Sarge lowering his salary to pay for the damages."
"That sounds like a harsh punishment," Blitz says.
"I happen to find it fitting. This should teach Randall a lesson with messing with my plants again," Stolas says, taking a sip of his tea.
"I guess, but some of your plants look dangerous, so I wonder if it's too harsh," Blitz says.
Stolas taps Blitz on the snout, "Don't worry your pretty little head. This will teach that lizard a good lesson on taking responsibility for his actions."
"Um okay," Blitz replies.
"Besides, since some of my plants are living, I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to give Randall their own little lesson."
And in the Greenhouse, Randall is working on Stolas' plants as he grumbles to himself with frustration. Just then, one of the carnivorous plants bites down on his tail, causing him to scream in pain and agony.
