Chapter 54: Circus Day and the Mysterious Blitzo
Many Years Ago:
A Circus has come to the Pride Ring, and demons of different shape and size have come in to see. Inside the ten, the Big Top is dark, but then, the spot light instantly lights on, revealing various circus Imps as they perform in the big top Two Imps in clown attire juggle, two more in the background perform spinning front flips into the foreground, and a female Imp does a handstand on a demonic horse as it gallops by the bleachers. There are also stilt-supported legs of an Imp to two clown Imps juggling while on stilts. A female Imp is seen walking and twirling on a tightrope in the background, holding a yellow umbrella as she does.
The audience on the bleachers clap and cheer to see the performance while they have food and drinks at the stands.
The circus continues to carry on with their performance. One Imp breathing fire, fire-breathing Imp atop an inverted Imp pyramid supported by a wooden stand. Two more Imps in the background leap through hoops held by two Imps in the inverted pyramid, land on their hands, then jump to their feet as the crowd cheers. A throwing knife flies across the ring, and sticks itself into a wooden board, right next to the hip of a female Imp shown to be tied to said board. The camera pans out to show the knife throwing Imp as the crowd cheers.
Then the Ringmaster, Cash Buckzo makes an appearance. He actually looks a lot like Blitz, with the same red skin, yellow eyes, and body shape. However, his horn pattern is more triangular than Blitz's with black that stretches down the sides of his head to resemble sideburns. His fingers are thicker and black, his eyes have bags under them, his tail is mostly black, and he has a small white goatee resting under his chin. His stage outfit consists of a neon green and navy blue striped shirt with a ruffled white collar, baggy purple pants, black boots, a purple and neon green bowtie, and a faded lavender tophat with a neon green band around it.
Cash announces, "Now, everyone's favorite thing about circus shit: the motherfuckin' clowns!"
Then multiple terrifying clowns with glowing eyes leap out at the audience from behind the curtains. Cash laughs as they fly outward, terrifying the audience as they scream and pull away in terror.
Just then, up above, a small foot stepping on a pedestal board along with the sound of a bell jingling.
A child's voice calls out, "You ready, Barbie?"
"Ready Fizz!" A young girl Imp calls out.
With that, both young Imps leap off of their boards and begin their flying trapeze act as the crowd cheers. Turns out, those little Imps are actually Blitz's twin sister, Barbie. More specifically Barbie Wire as a child. Along with Fizzarolli when he's a child as well.
Fizzaroli has a heart-skull marking on his forehead that resembles the one that is on Blitz, Cash, and their associated circus performers. He also used to have red irises, yellow sclera, normal, non-digitigrade, biological arms and legs, and a pair of large asymmetrically striped black-and-white horns with bells attached. He is also wearing an orange clown nose. He is wearing a green body suit, with a red and black collar, a red stripe on both sleeves of the arms and legs, and red cotton balls at the front, and black boots with purple puffballs on it.
Barbie Wire has a strong resemblance to Blitz. Like Blitz, she too has a heart shaped symbol on her forehead. Along with the same red skin, yellow sclera with red eyes, sharp teeth, and the same kind of tail. The only difference is that she has the appearance of a small girl. Her horns are curled, black with white stripes. She is wearing a pink striped knee length dress with purple tights and black boots.
The two little Imps fly across the circus, and soon swing past the bleachers, catching everyone's attention as they cheer with excitement. Soon enough, Fizzarolli allows Barbie to land on the ball. Then jumps off to land on the ground.
And soon enough, Barbie begins to dance across the center ring. Fizzarolli then brings out a hula hoop and rolls it to Barbie. Barbie then grabs the hoop as she tosses it around a bit before dancing as she twirls it on her hand. Then allows it to loop around her towards her waist. The audience claps with smiles to see the elegant young Barbie dancing. She then rolls the hoop away as she hops on a large ball and begins to dance as she rolls around on it. She then brings out an umbrella and dances on the ball as she dances with the umbrella.
Just then, Young Fizzarolli comes in with a red balloon, "Okay then Barbie. You certainly pull on the ball, and I'm going to horse around." Then makes a balloon horse perfectly, "Hey, everybody! Look at this" Then present it to the crowd. "It's Banana Pudding the clown horsey!"
He makes a neighboring noise and the crowd laughs. Barbie then giggles in response with a smile on her face.
With that, the two continue to perform their show, earning everyone's attention as they clap, cheer, and laugh.
Sometime later, after the show, Barbie and Fizzarolli are both playing in one of the tents.
Fizzarlli starts, "I'm Banana Pudding, and I like to dance!"
Then Barbie brings out a doll that looks like a dancer, "I'm Princess Ruby. And I… I am sad!"
"Why are you sad, Princess?" Fizzarolli asks.
"Because, I don't have anyone to play with. Not even siblings," Barbie says.
"Oh, well that's okay!" Fizzarolli says.
"Maybe, but it gets lonely because you don't have anyone else to play with," Barbie says.
Fizzarolli happily says, "Don't worry, we can be friends, and we play together. With his magical feet he dances around with. He will dance all over and make you feel better. You'll be able to smile and laugh," Fizzarolli happily says and has his balloon horse dance around Princess Ruby.
"I would love that. I love to dance too," Barbie happily says.
Barbie and Fizzaolli begin laughing with glee.
"And now," Fizzarolli says, and brings out some polka dot balls.
"For some fun with confetti, streamers, and other surprises," Fizzarolli says and tosses one in the air.
It soon lets out a small explosion, allowing confetti and streamers to fall out. He then tosses another into the air, it explodes, and lets out some sparkles. Barbie giggles as she and Fizz begin to dance around as they play. Fzz gives Barbie a ball, allowing her to toss it into the air. It explodes and it lets out confetti hearts, stars, and sparkles. Fizz grabs another, but he trips on one of the other balls that's already on the ground. He slips and accidentally throws the ball out of the tent.
Just then, they hear, "YOW!" follow by a splatter
Soon, walking into the tent is Cash, who is soaked and wet with his arms crossed.
"Uh oh," Barbie and Fizz reply.
"Hi daddy," Barbie says.
"Hello Barbie, what are you and Fizz up to this time?" Cash questions, still wet with a frown on his face.
"We're playing with the surprise balloons," Fizz says.
"Guess that one was a miss," Barbie replies.
"A big miss," Cash replies.
"Sorry dad," Barbie says.
Cash sighs, "That's okay, but no more surprise balls."
"Okay, can we play outside at the fields?" Barbie asks.
"Alright, but don't go too far. And remember to be back home before dark. We're leaving tomorrow morning before the Extermination," Cash says.
"Okay," Barbie says. Then turns to Fizz, "Come on Fizz, let's go play."
"Okay," Fizzarolli says.
Then the two hurry out to play outside.
"And remember, not to be out too late, you rascals," Cash says.
And soon, the kids are gone.
Cash rolls his eyes, "Aw those kids."
Later on, Barbie and Fizzarolli have been playing together and find themselves at a large tree. Fizzarolli climbs up, and then uses his tail to lower himself down to Barbie who is sitting on a stump.
"Hey Barbie, why does your dad not want us too far or home late, especially when we're closing in to the Extermination?" Fizzarolli asks.
"Well, my dad just wanted to make sure all of us are out of the Pride Ring before Exterminator comes and in case it comes early," Barbie answers.
"Early?" Fizzarolli questions, "Why? The Extermination seems to happen around the same time it always does."
Barbie sighs, "You think that, but apparently the Extermination seems to appear early from time to time."
"How do you know that?" Fizzarolli asks.
"Well…" Barbie says, "This is actually difficult to talk about. I was still shocked to learn about it a few months ago."
"What happened?" Fizzarolli asks.
"Well, I was helping dad clean up the tent and I found a photograph," Barbie says.
She reaches into her bag and then pulls out a small photograph. She then shows it to Fizzarolli. Fizz looks at the photograph to see the photo of Cash with Barbie as a baby in his arms, along with the female Imp and another baby Imp in her arms. This one is a boy and looks a lot like Barbie.
"Who are they?" Fizzarolli asks.
"The woman is actually my mother and the little baby boy is really my twin brother, Blitzo," Barbie explains.
"Really?" Fizzarolli asks, surprised, "I didn't know you had a mother and a twin brother. And where are they? Did your parents get divorced?"
"No," Barbie answers, shaking his head.
She sighs, "My mother was killed during an Extermination that happened early."
"Oh no…" Fizzarolli says, shocked.
"I'm afraid so. At first, dad didn't want to tell me what happened and wanted to avoid it. I ended up complaining about it long enough to answer," Barbie explains.
Fizarolli giggles, "Bet you probably pestered him long enough to do so."
"Sure did," Barbie says with a grin.
Then Fizzarolli asks, "But still, what happened to them?"
"Well, my dad was very reluctant to talk about it. He explained to me that when we were babies, my parents ended up getting separated during the Extermination. My mother and my twin brother were missing. A few days later, my mother was found dead, while my twin brother, Blitzo, was never found. My dad has searched for days, which turned to weeks, which turned to months. He searched and had no lock. He and those who tried to help search had to assume that he died during the Extermination as well. And at that moment, I was kind of the only thing dad had left, besides the circus, and the money he had," Barbie explains.
Fizzarolli rolls his eyes, "Oh brother. He may love you, Barbs, but he still has love of money and alcohol."
Barbie giggles, "That's mean Fizz."
"So um, what happened when you learned about what happened?" Fizz asks.
"I cried of course," Barbie answers, I mean sure, I was pretty mad about why he hadn't told me. But when I asked why, he said that he was well, he had to admit, he was upset about what happened. The reason why he didn't say it was because well, it's very difficult to talk about. He actually wanted to wait until I was older to talk about it, and he was a little more willing to talk about it. He pretends everything is fine and not to care, but he was very sensitive about it."
She then lets out a sigh and says, "Still, I wish to know what happened to my brother. I asked my dad what he thought happened to him, but he mostly believed he died during the Extermination, and yet, part of him still wonders if he's still alive, and is living somewhere in Hell."
"Hmm, why don't we try to find him?" Fizzarolli asks.
"Really?" Barbie asks.
"Yeah. Maybe the reason why they couldn't find him is because they don't know where to look. If your brother is still alive, then he could be living in another Ring, so somewhere in Hell," Fizzarolli says.
"You think so?" Barbie asks.
"Maybe," Fizzarolli says.
Then says, "Maybe someday, when we grow up, and able to travel, we can search for your brother. Even if we have to search throughout all of Hell to find him."
"You really think we might be able to find him?" Barbie asks.
"Maybe. Whether your brother is alive or not, you want to know what happened to him, right?" Fizzarolli replies.
"I actually do want to know, but I really do want to find him alive. And I do want to find him," Barbie says.
"Then it settles, one day, if I get super famous, we can explore all of Hell and we can find your brother. Of course, this will be our secret," Fizzarolli says.
"Yes. The less people know the better," Barbie says.
She then hugs Fizzarolli, "Thanks Fizz, you're my bestest friend in all of Hell."
"Thanks, and you too," Fizzarolli says.
Then the two begin laughing with smiles on their faces. And later, they head back to the circus and back home before it gets too dark.
Years Later: In the Lust Ring
In Fizzarolli's bedroom, The performing jester like Imp, Fizzarolli is fast asleep in his bedroom. He soon slowly opens his eyes and soon wakes up with sleep in his eyes. As he sits up in his head, Fizzarolli feels a sharp pain in his head.
"Ow! God fuckin damnit!" Fizzarolli says and rubs his head. "I felt like I'd been hit by a fuckin wrecking ball." and let out a yawn.
After getting out of bed, Fizzarolli leaves his room. Moments later, Fizzarolli walks into the living room and flops on the couch within a matter of seconds.
"Aww, is my little Fizzy a little sleepy this morning," A familiar voice replies in a lustful tone.
Fizzarolli slowly looks up to see Asmodeus looking down at him with a smile on his face.
"Morning Ozzie. I'm still tired and still have that fuckin headache from last night. Damnit, that Imp really hit me hard," Fizzarolli says. And let out another yawn, "And again, I'm tired from that eventful night."
"Well, I have to admit that little Imp may have overreacted a bit, but I have to give him prompts for standing up for his little birdie and his friends," Asmodeus says.
"No kidding. It's rare that someone cas the gals to tell you off," Fizz says.
He then sighs.
"Still can't take your mind off of him?" Ozzie asks.
"Yeah," Fizz says, and lets out a sigh, "I can't help it. That Imp resembles Barbie. I want to believe that she's Barbie's brother, but I don't have proof. I'm also surprised to see him hanging out with Randall of all demons. The guys a fuckin train wreck. And it seems to be hanging out with Razor as well. Along with those other demons who are there.
"Indeed," Asmodeus says. "However, what also surprises me is to learn that he was with Stolas. Never thought I would see Stolas of all demons having a little affair with an Imp of all demons, especially since he's already married.
However, he begins to go into his thoughts, "Hmmm…"
"What's up, Ozzie?" Fizzarolli asks.
"It's about the Imp that was with Stolas, the one you believed to be Barbie's brother. I'm not sure how to put it, but there is something, off about him," Asmodeus answers
"Off like how?" Fizzarolli asks.
"It was for a split second when we were messing with them. When I saw him, especially the look in his eyes… I've noticed the lack of Lust in them."
"Lack of Lust?" Fizz says, confused.
"Indeed. I can't seem to sense any Lust within his eyes. No Pride, Wrath, or other kinds of Sins," Ozzie says, "What's more, some of my employees have also sensed something off about that Imp. Something almost… pure…"
"Pure?" Fizz says.
"Indeed," Ozzie says, "I actually like to see this Imp for myself. To see what makes him tick."
"Well good luck with that. After the stunt we did, I doubt Stolas would want you anywhere near him. Never would Razor and his other friends," Fizzarollis says
He then sighs and says, "For now, I like to put that behind me for the time being. Didn't you have a meeting with Veorsika and her group today?"
"Sure am, and they should be here right about now," Asmdoeus says.
Soon, Verosika and her colleagues walk into the living room.
"Morning," Verosika says.
"Morning Verosika," Fizzarolli says and is tired.
Verosika walks over and asks, "What's wrong with you?"
"He still has that little headache from last night," Asmodeus says.
Verosika snickers, "You mean from what happened at Ozzie's?"
"That's the one," Fizzarolli says, glaring at Verosika.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh, but it was kind of funny. With his personality, I didn't think Blitzo would have the balls to smack someone upside the head in public and on stage," Veorsika says.
Soon, she and her crew begin laughing, making Fizzarolli frown in annoyance.
But suddenly something catches his attention, "Wait, did you say the Imp who was with Prince Stolas is named Blitzo?"
"Yes. I did," Verosika says, shrugging her shoulders, "And funny, after sometimes I've come to realize that he looked a lot like Barbie Wire, the Imp I've met during Rehab. Of course, I didn't mention it to him the last time we talked, and…"
But is interrupted when Fizzarolli pulls her close to his face and demands, "Tell me everything you know about that Blitzo, anything at all!"
"What the fuck got you all riled up?" Veorsika asks, confused.
Fizzarolli calms himself and lets her go, "Sorry about that, but is there anything you can tell me about the Imp, Blitzo."
"Why?" Verosika asks, confused.
"Because, I think that guy might be Barbie's long lost brother," Fizzarolli says, "I'm sure she mentioned it to you a few times."
Hearing Fizz's statement has Verosika thinking, and says, "Now that you've mentioned it. Back in Rehab, she did mention how she discovered she had a brother and a mother, and what happened to them when she was a baby. It was difficult for her to swallow at the time. Of course, she told me that her mother was dead and her brother was missing and never found. Of course, he was assumed dead."
"And I think that Imp is him. He strongly resembles Barbie," Fizzarolli says. "I was able to tell just as he left, and I can see Barbie's face."
He then sighs and says, "So I want to know everything about him. Where he's currently living, Where he works, his relationship with the others, and how managed to fuck that owl prince…"
But suddenly Verosika and the crew start laughing. Asmdoeus and Fizzarolli turn to each other with confused looks.
Fizz turns to Verosika and asks, "What? What's so funny?"
Veorsika and the others soon stop laughing.
"Sorry sorry, but you actually think that he fuck that Prince. Even now, I can tell that Blitz is still on the Sexual Market. He never had sex with anyone," Verosika says.
Suddenly Asmodeus snaps his fingers in realization, "That explains why he seemed so pure when I sensed him."
"Wait, really?" Fizzarolli asks, shocked.
"Well as the Sin of Lust, I can sense these things. And for some reason, now that I've thought of it, I can't sense any signs he had sex at all, and how he doesn't have the lustful look in his eyes. It makes sense now. He's a virgin."
Fizzarolli looks dumbfounded, "You've gotta be kidding me. That Imp really never had sex."
"That's correct. Of course, that doesn't mean I haven't tried to have a good time with him, but he keeps refusing as his cheeks turn red. I find his bashfulness to be adorable," Verosika says.
"Kind of shocking because you're not the type to be refused so easily," Asmdoeus replies.
"I know, but you can't blame someone for trying," Verosika says.
Then Fizzarolli says, "But still, you gotta tell me everything you know about that Blitzo guy, and I mean everything."
Verosika sighs and asks, "You really wanna know, don't you?"
"Yeah. Even if it's years ago, I kind of promised Barbie I would find any clues of her brother's disappearance, if he was still alive. And now, this Imp who has his name is in Hell. And it sounds like you've interacted with him a couple of times. So if you know anything about him, I really need to know," Fizzarolli says.
Verosika can tell Fizzarolli is serious about it, and really wants to know everything about Blitz.
"Alright, I'll tell you," Verosika says. "I may have promised to keep this a secret, but since you really want to know, it's possible that he is who you think it is. Of course, if you want to know more, you'll have to talk to Blitz about it. And everything I'm going to tell you about him remains between us. I know it will be found out eventually, but he still doesn't want it to get out."
"Okay, but why?" Fizzarolli replies, arching an eyebrow.
Verosika then questioned, "You've ever heard the rumors among the sinners that's been spread to Hellborns about former mortals having seen an actual demon living on Earth with Humans."
"Actually, I've heard a bit myself. Of course, it's very hard to believe that a demon has been raised on Earth without a disguise," Asmdoeus says.
"I thought so too, until I met Blitzo," Veorsika says.
"Mind rephrasing that?" Fizzarolli asks, arching his eyebrow.
"Alright. Blitz, to be more clear Blitzo is a demon that's been raised by Human beings. That's why Barbie's brother, Blitzo, has never been found. He's been raised on Earth this entire time," Verosika says.
Ozzie and Fizz stare at Verosika for a second.
"Are you… are you serious?" Fizzarolli asks, shocked.
Veorsika nods his head, "That's correct. It's amazing. Blitzo has been raised on Earth all this time, and no demon has fully noticed a thing, and ends up becoming quite a gossip topic."
"That's true, but how?" Fizzarolli asks.
"That's one of the things you'll have to ask him directly," Voeriska says.
"This is quite a very unique development," Asmodeus says. "Demons aren't supposed to live on Earth without a form of disguise, and no notification about it. It would also explain the look in his eyes that has no ounce of Sin in him."
"That's correct," Verosika nods in reply.
"Still, is there anything you can tell me about him? And I like to know everything you know," Fizzarolli says.
"Alright then, I'll do my best," Veorsika says with a nod.
She then explains, "Well, for starters, his full name is Blitzo Abercrombie."
"Abercrombie?" Fizzarolli says, confused.
"Abercrombie is the family name of his adopted family," Verosika says, "I met him during my job at Spring Break. He appears to be working for I.M.P."
"You mean that hit man company that also specializes with killing humans on Earth?" Fizzarolli asks.
"That's right. He seems associated with Randall and my ex, Drew. Of course, he doesn't seem to be involved in the actual killing, and works in the office with the CEO Sarge and his adopted daughter, Loona, a Hellhound Vortex is acquainted with. Being raised by humans, I guess he knows that he shouldn't kill unless it's needed. And a few times, I've seen him being trained by the group while I'm in Imp City," Verosika explains.
Then continues, "At first, I thought that he looked familiar and I've come to realize that it's Barbie Wire from Rehab. And I've also seen him on a few old posters in the living world. After discovering that, I've done a little research. Turns out, Blitzo was the adopted and youngest son of Charles Abercrombie, one of the Owners and Ringmaster of the Abercrombie Cirque De Eccentrical Circus. However, there was an incident that led to his father and two siblings' death, and he and his adopted mother were badly injured. She then passed away a few years later, and was still working at the circus with his uncle and his family, as the new wonder and Ringmaster. Despite everything he went through, Blitzo was able to live a happy life at the circus full of humans with different appearances and unique talents."
"I must admit, that's a real shock, but that does explain why Barbie has never been able to find him," Fizzarolli says, shocked.
"It also explains why no one has reported a demon on Earth. With all his travels from town to town and with unique humans there, other humans will just see him as another performer," Asmdoeus says.
"Yes. It seems so," Verosika says. Then continues, "And I've mentioned a little bit about you knowing Barbie, but never mention her name of course. I figure it will be a good idea for you to tell him yourself, and for Blitzo to tell you about himself."
Fizzarolli facepalms his forehead, "So that's why he was there that night! I'm such a fuckin idiot."
"Well, part of the reason. Looks like he's also on his little date with that prince as well. I caught the two making out after the two Imps' serenade," Verosika points out.
Fizzarolli rolls his eyes, "So it was a date after all."
Verosika nods his head in reply.
Fizzarolli sighs, "Well, that might explain a few things, but hell that would do me any good. After what happened at Ozzie's, he might not want to get anywhere near us. Not to mention Stolas and those guys from last night wouldn't want us near him. There's no way to get close to him."
"Hmmm…" Asmdoeus replies.
He then has a grin and says, "Then perhaps, instead of us going to see Blitzo, why not get Blitzo to come to us."
"How do we do that? Like I said, Blitz might not want to get near us, and Stolas and his crew will not let us near him either. And I doubt Blitz will trust a stranger," Fizzarolli questions.
"I think he will. We just need the right demon to contact him," Asmodeus says as he turns to Verosika.
Then asks, "What do you think, Verosika?"
"Hmm, probably not me. He gets too flustered when I'm around him, plus I doubt Drew will let me near him after what happened." Verosika says.
She brings out her Hellphone and looks at her phone, "Hmmm… interesting, "Shows them the screen, "Take a look at what Randall just posted on his Sinstigram."
Asmdoeus and Fizzarolli look to see Randall's post.
It shows a retweet of a building in a different Ring, most likely in the Gluttony Ring.
Randall's post also reads: "Friends from work and I are going to Gluttony for a Party."
"Well, that's convenient," Asmodeus replies.
Fizzarolli and Verosika agree.
"Well, it looks like you know where you're heading to set up the bait," Fizzarolli says.
Verosika smirks, "Actually, I know just the demon to ask to send a little message to him."
Verosika then calls on her phone, and says, "Hello Vortex, would you mind doing me a huge favor, and I'll be sure to pay you extra…. Great, now then, here's what I need you to do…" and with that Verosika begins to set the bait into motion.
