The State Verses Derek Morgan Ch 12
Reid, JJ and Emily were checking files while Kevin and Shane were busy doing their thing on the computer, to save time and so that they could communicate between then Kevin moved into the round table room and set up beside Shane. Reid leaned in to JJ and said, "is he growling?", JJ said, "if you mean Shane, then I think he is, he's growling at Kevin", Emily grinned and said, "I don't think he likes him very much".
JJ said, "me either but for now they have to work together to get things done", Kevin had been saying, "plum sauce would have done this" or plum sauce said that" and after over 4 hours Shane hit the table and got his attention. Kevin jumped as Shane said, "listen Kalvin, if I hear you call Penelope cranberry sauce one more time, dude I'm gonna lose it", he looked at Kevin and said, "do ya hear me?", Kevin nodded his head yes.
JJ, Emily and Reid were trying not to laugh but failing miserably, Kevin cleared his throat and said, "I have never called Penelope cranberry sauce, I called her plum sauce, plum sauce", Shane had took all he could take so he looked at Reid and said, "please move him away from me, I don't care where you put him but please on all that is holy, please move him away from me".
Emily said, "Kevin, maybe we should move you to the bullpen or one of the offices downstairs?", Kevin said, "but?", JJ said, "please Kevin, please do it for Garcia", he looked at Shane and then at JJ, Emily and Reid before nodding his head yes, grabbing his laptop and heading out of the round table room.
When he was out of ear shot the four of them laughed and laughed until they had tears streaming down their faces, until they remembered that their all seeing all knowing oracle was gone and gone forever, JJ looked down at the floor and whispered, "I can't believe she's gone, I can't believe that we'll never see her walk through the door again, those carefree days are gone".
Shane shakes his head and closed his eyes remembering his black queen, he then took a deep breath before he said, "I'm sorry about that but he was working my last nerve, I'm not saying that he didn't care about Penelope but calling her cranberry relish or whatever he was calling her was really starting to freak me out".
Emily said, "yeah, tell us about it, try hearing that everyday for over 5 years and see how close you are to tripping out",Shane said, "I have a whole new respect for you guys now, especially after seeing what you have to put up with". JJ smiled and said, "I hate to say this but I'm glad he moved, did anybody else smell that?", Shane said, "oh thank God, I thought I was the only one smelling that", Reid shook his head and said, "ohhhh but no, we all smelled it, after 5 years you get use to it".
Shane said, "now that he's gone, maybe I can concentrate", JJ said, "have you had any luck yet?", he said, "I've went through several people but so far the unsubs were either in prison or dead and the same goes for the last known relatives". Emily said, "don't worry, we'll find something, we will and we'll prove that Derek is innocent and make whoever did kill PG pay for it", Shane looked at the trio of friends and said, "count on that Emily, count on that", his attention then turned back to the computer and looking up more information on people in the files
A little while later Shane looked at JJ and said, "can I ask you something?", JJ said, "sure, ask away", Shane said, "what are you going to do about her funeral, are you going to call her brothers and tell them?", Emily said, "I already tried, they didn't seem interested at all that their sister had been killed so violently", Shane shook his head and said, "yeah her brothers are a special kind of stupid, if you know what I mean"
Reid said, "ohhhh we do, we do", JJ looked at Emily, Reid and Shane a few minutes later and said, "how about I order us some food, it's going to be a long night?", Shane said, "sounds good to me", the others nodded their heads in agreement. After discussing the choices for a few minutes they decided on getting pizzas so that way they could eat and the be able to focus again because the four of them wanted two things and that was to prove Derek's innocence and get revenge for Penelope and that was what they were gonna do, no matter what they had to do to make it happen.
