As the teenage Kara walked to the diner to meet Diz following debate club she started to feel uneasy. Looking round she saw the street looking as crowded as ever and started to relax. But she still increased her pace. As she cut through the empty parking lot she heard foot steps and was about to break into a run when someone stepped out in front of her. Looking up at the figure she saw someone dressed in jeans and polo shirt, wearing a mask.

Instinctively she took a step back only to hit something warm and muscular who grabbed hold of her arms, pinning them to her side.

"We just want to talk." Another mask wearing male said approaching.

Not liking the idea Kara stamped on the foot of the man holding her. As the pain shot through his foot he released Kara who used her free arm and punched the masked individual in front of her. As her fist made contact with his nose he stumbled backwards swearing. Before she could celebrate victory though the arms of the male standing behind her grabbed hold of her again as some one else said.

"Get her."

Immediately Kara struggled, kicking out with her legs, only to be forced to the ground.

"Get off." She screamed before screaming. "Fire!"

Before she could break free more hands grabbed her and rolled her over.

"Not so loud." A male said placing a hand over her mouth as several hands pinned her to the ground.

"Don't worry, we won't hurt you. We need you." The male said. "Hold her still."

As Kara continued to struggle he snapped. "Hold her still or knock her out." Kara then saw him open a small box.

"Leave her." Diz said approaching the melee.

"This doesn't concern you." One of the attackers said.

"You're wrong." Diz said. "Get away from her."

"I said go." One of the masked men said taking out a knife.

"Leave her." Diz said stepping towards the person with the knife.

"Deal with him and hold her still." The male hovering above Kara said. As Kara continued to struggle she heard several grunts coming from the side. "Hold her eye open." He said as Kara felt hands on her face.

Suddenly someone swore for the side as someone else, close to Kara, said.

"What the hell man? You said no one would be hurt. I'm out." He said releasing the arm he was holding before running off. With it free Kara quickly swung the arm up and activated the necklace before lashing out at the man with the box trying to get free. Knocking the box from his hand. As she managed to move her head she saw Diz lying on the ground.

"Diz!" She tried scream, although a hand muffled it.

"Let's get on with this." The male by Kara said. "Some one grab that arm."

"Is he dead?" Someone, with a familiar voice asked. "I'm out." Slowly Kara felt the hands leave her body.

"Next time." The masked figure by her head said standing before kicking her in the stomach and running off.

"Diz" Kara called before crawling over to him.

"I'm okay." Diz groaned.

"What happened?" Supergirl asked landing by Kara.

"Help him. He got stabbed." Kara said.

"It's okay." Diz said.

"He wasn't the target. I was." The teenager said as her mother approached her at the DEO.

"What?" Alex asked confused before hugging her daughter.

"You were about to blame Diz, but he wasn't at fault. He saved me."

"Slow down." Alex instructed pulling away. "Are you hurt?"

"No. Not really."

"So that's a yes." Alex said. "Come with me." She said leading her into one of the infirmary rooms.

"Diz wasn't even meant to be meeting me there. He got stabbed because I wasn't strong enough." Her daughter said.

"None of what happened was your fault." Alex said as she directed her daughter to the bed. "What happened?"

"There was a group of them. They grabbed me and pushed me to the ground. They tried to put in contact lenses. Then Diz came and tried to scare them off, but he was stabbed and they freaked out and ran off and I couldn't help-" The teenager stated, her pace increasing exponentially as she spoke.

"Kara." Alex said pulling her in for a hug. "It's okay, it's over. You're safe now."

"Diz?"

"He's going to be okay."

"Can I see him?"

"After I've checked you out." Alex said.

Seeing the finger print bruises coming out on her daughter's arms. Alex stopped and said. "You know what, I'm going to get Dr Foster in here. I shouldn't be your doctor."

"You're going?"

"No. Of course not. But I'm going to be here as your mom."

"Okay." The teen said. Before calling. "Mom?"

"Yes?" Alex asked.

"I grabbed these." With that teenage Kara held out her trembling hand, which held the box containing the contact lenses.

"How's Kar?" Diz asked up trying to sit up straighter.

"Shaken, but okay. Can you tell me what happened?" Supergirl asked.

"I heard a scream from the parking lot. I went to look and there were those frat boys."

"Frat boys?" Supergirl asked.

"Who else wears polos?"

"You don't think they were Kai?" Supergirl asked.

"Not unless they brought in a dress code." Diz said. "There was a fight. I got stabbed, they got spooked and ran."

"Thank you." Supergirl said. "For looking out for her." Having seen Diz nod she asked. "Why didn't you use your power?"

"It would have hurt Kar." He said. "If I had to I would've done."

"Get some rest. I'll be back later."

"How's Kara?" Supergirl asked when she saw her sister.

"She seems okay, physically anyway."

"Any ideas who did this?"

"My first thought was it was linked to Diz and his gang connections. But Kara is adamant she was the target. So I thought someone had found the list. But we have searched everywhere and can't find it. Plus Kara is the only one who was attacked. But they had those contact lenses so they have to be linked to Kai" Alex said, rambling slightly.

"Except Diz thinks they weren't. He called them frat boys." Supergirl said.

"Frat boys?"

"They didn't meet the dress code of Kai. He said they were dressed like frat boys." Kara said.

"None of this makes sense." Alex said frustrated before looking at her sister and saying. "Thank you for saving her."

"Technically that was Diz." Kara reminded her.

"Kara has mentioned that a few times." Alex said. "I need to check something out, can you keep an eye in her?"

"Of course."

As Supergirl walked into the room she saw her niece and Diz kissing. As she cleared her throat her niece jumped away from Diz.

"That doesn't look like just friends." Supergirl commented.

"Where's mom?" The teenage Kara asked burning red.

"Don't worry, she's on the other side of the building. But remember this placed is laced with security cameras."

"Did she send you down to chaperone?" The teenage Kara asked.

"Kind of." Supergirl said.

"Man, your mom is insane." Diz commented. Seeing the looks he was getting he added. "What? She sent Supergirl to chaperone."

"I think she prefers the term homicidally protective to insane." Supergirl said.

"Ma'am." Rose said entering the room.

"Yes." Supergirl said.

"There's been a huge accident, you are needed."

"Okay." Supergirl said before turning back to her niece and saying. "Don't forget the cameras."

"How are you doing?" Alex asked her daughter when she stopped the car on the drive a few hours later.

"Okay I guess."

"We will find who did this." Alex said.

"I think I knew them." Her daughter said.

"I thought they were wearing masks?" Alex asked looking at her.

"They were so I couldn't see them, but one of the voices was familiar. But I don't know from where."

"We'll figure it out." Alex promised her.

"I don't know what is worse. Knowing them or not knowing them." The teen said.
