"Kara thank god." Lois said as the caped hero flew through the window. "I have tried to stop him but, he uncontrollable right now. It's probably best if you see for yourself." She said directing Kara to the lounge where Clark was dancing topless.
"Is he drunk?" Kara asked.
"You know he doesn't drink and even if he did he can't get drunk. I mean look at him he still has powers." Lois said as Clark used his heat vision on popcorn.
"Did anyone give him some Alderbaran rum?" Kara asked running through the possibilities.
"Some what?" Lois asked.
"I'll take that a no." Kara said. "Has he ever done this before?"
"Nope."
"I'll talk to him." Kara said walking into the lounge.
"Hey cuz!" Clark greeted as Kara approached.
"Hey. You doing okay there?" Kara asked.
"Great. I don't know what it is, but I feel so free. Hey, did they wear clothes on Krypton?"
"Yes." Kara said, confused by the question.
"You sure?"
"Yes."
"Maybe because they couldn't fly." He said losing himself in thought. "Can you imagine flying naked?"
"Really trying not to." Kara said. "But you know what would be fun?"
"What?"
"Family trip to the DEO."
"That doesn't sound like fun. Wait can we fly naked?"
"No." Kara said before grabbing hold of her cousin and Lois and flying them both to the DEO.

As Clark danced half naked round the containment room as Alex tried to run some scans on him, Supergirl started giggling.
"You okay?" Alex asked concerned looking at her sister.
"Just thinking how funny the name infirmary was as you are always 'in' it." Supergirl giggled.
"What?" Alex asked.
"Why are you looking so serious?" Supergirl questioned. "Live a little. Hey cuz, let's have a party." She called over to Superman.
"Finally." He said.
"I love a floaty world." Supergirl said looking at the lights.
"Okay, why don't we get you to your own room so you can prepare for the party?" Alex asked nudging her sister out of the room before locking her in the adjacent Kryptonian proof room. She then approached Lois and said.
"It's spread."
"I can see that." The reporter said frowning. "Is it dangerous?"
"I don't know yet. But seeing you have not been effected, I am assume it effects only Kryptonians. Have they been drinking Alderbaran rum?"
"Not that I know of. I mean I had not heard of it until Kara mentioned it and Kara hasn't drunk anything since she met up with him." Lois said.
"In which case we need to collect some samples. Can you get his clothes? And see if you can get some swabs off his chest." Alex said handing Lois some equipment.
"Okay." Lois said.

"What's going on?" Lena asked approaching Alex. As she did so she saw a mostly naked Superman man dance round a containment cell as Supergirl sat giggling in an adjacent cell. "What's happened?"
"Well they have been exposed to a form of Kryptonite." Alex said.
"It appears to have striped them of their inhibitions." Lois added.
"It made them drunk?" Lena asked. "Did they do this to themselves?" She asked confused.
"We don't think so." Alex replied.
"Then why would someone want them drunk and aren't there easier ways?" Lena pressed.
"It may not have been intentional." Alex said. "It could be someone was experimenting with Kryptonite and didn't know what it would do."
"Have you come across this before?" Lena asked.
"No. You?" Alex countered.
"No. How do you know it is Kryptonite?"
"We collected a few flecks off Superman. Enough to see a familiar radioactive signal, but not enough to do a full analysis." Alex said.
"Can you cure them?" Lois asked.
"We working on it." Alex said. "Best case scenario the effect will wear off with time. Until then we'll keep them in containment."
"It would help if we knew how they had gotten exposed and had more of the Kryptonite to work with." Lena said.
"I can take you to all the places Clark has been today." Lois offered.
"That would help." Alex said.
"I'll take you." J'onn said before looking back at Alex and saying. "I'll let you know if I find anything."
"Thanks. I'll try to stop those two doing anything really stupid." Alex said.

"Alex?" Kara asked confused as she woke up a few hours later.
"Kara." Alex said watching her carefully.
"I had such a crazy dream." Kara said sitting up.
"You did?" Her sister asked.
"Yeah. Kal was dancing half naked and obsessed with naked flying. Then you turned all floaty and you were really ticked. And why are you looking at me like that? Was that not a dream?"
"It all happened." Alex said. "Your cousin was exposed to some form of Kryptonite that removed inhibitions, but unlike Red-K it basically turned him drunk. You went to him and must have been exposed as well, although seeing you have snapped out of it I am assume it wasn't so bad."
"So Kal is still .. "
"Last I saw pole dancing." Alex said.
"Did I do anything really bad?" Kara asked.
"You were no worse than when you were on Alderbaran rum."
"That's not exactly comforting." Kara said.
"Well unlike when you lost your powers and you got drunk with Sam and Lena, this time you weren't sad drunk. So I guess that is progress." Alex said. "Anyway you should get some rest."
"What about Alex?"
"She's staying at mine tonight. I said you were helping your cousin."
-00-
"Good to see you in clothes." Lena said as Superman entered the briefing room the next day.
"How bad was I?" Superman asked.
"If there hero business every dries up you could be a warm up act for the Chippendales." Lena said, clearly enjoying teasing him, before Kara cut in.
"I got you to the DEO before you could do anything embarrassing."
"Thanks." Superman said.
"The good news is your brain chemistry seems back to normal." Alex said. "We don't have enough of the Kryptonite to do a full analysis. But it was man made. So we do know someone is experimenting with Kryptonite and targeting you." Alex said.
"But why? And why in Metropolis?" Kara asked. "I mean is this connected to Sloane Syndicate, in which case why move, or is it something new?"
"Guys, can I talk to my cousin alone?" Superman asked.
"Sure, we'll be outside." Alex said.
"What's up?" Kara asked looking at her cousin once Lena and Alex had gone.
"Do you remember when you first came out as Supergirl and fought with Reactron? And I flew in to help and you were kind of mad because you wanted to find your own way? And after that I backed right off."
"Yes."
"Now I need you to back off."
"You're mad at me?" Kara guessed.
"No. But I used to be the hero. I worked alone and people looked up to me. Then there was the fight with Mongul and I went into hiding. You inspired me to come back, but I need to find my feet again and do it my way. I'm not saying we can't work together again, but right now I need to find my own path and I can't do that with you always having my back."
"Okay." Kara said trying not to look hurt. "I will leave you to it."
"Thanks." He smiled before leaving the room before flying back to Metropolis.
-00-
"How did it go?" Alex asked coming back into the room.
"Don't ask."
"You know I am going to have to ask." Alex said.
"Kal says he's got it and to not get involved. And I don't want to butt in. But at the same time he's my baby cousin and I am meant to be looking after him."
"What about Lois? Couldn't she make him see reason?"
"She's more of a lone wolf than he is." Kara reminded her.
"I know you are worried about Clark, but I think this is a good thing. You have plenty of your own problems right now. It's not as if you have turned your back on him. He is the one who turned down help." Alex reminded her as he phone rang. As she saw who was calling she felt her head starting to pound.

As Alex entered the Principal's office she found herself looking at both her children. Her youngest looking like he was about to explode and her eldest looking upset.
"What's going on?" Alex asked rushing to her daughter.
"They have been fighting, again." The Principal said, a weariness in his tone. The comment causing Alex to look at both her children. But before she could ask anything the Principal went on. "Maybe if you monitored your daughter's friends more this would happen."
"Excuse me?" Alex asked.
"She's been hanging out with a gang member and now she is attacking members of the football team, you do the math." The Principal said.
"He was one of them." Kara said. "I recognised the voice. It was him." The comment leaving the Principal lost, but her mother immediately tensed.
"Where is he?" Alex asked.
"Next door." MJ said, clearly unhappy about that.
Storming out of the office Alex approached the teenage boy as the Principal scrambled after her.
Seeing Alex storm towards him the teenage scrambled out of his chair and backed away from her.
"Well, good news is we can clear this up in no time. A telepath is working the case. Within minutes he'll know exactly what you did and didn't do. You my not survive, but we'll know the truth." Alex said to the teen, not bothering to give any context.
"You can't use a telepath on me." The teen said who looked at the Principal, hoping to be saved.
"You were going to use technology linked to terrorism. You have no rights." Alex pointed out.
"Please stop threatening my students." The Principal said approaching Alex, although his instinct was telling him to stay away.
"I'm not making threats, I'm explaining what is going to happen after his arrest." Alex said, sounding eerily calm.
"Arrest?" The Principal asked confused. "It was your daughter that punched him."
"It was him and his gang that assaulted my daughter in a parking lot before stabbing an innocent samaritan."
"No one was meant to get hurt." The boy said, caving under Alex's glare. "We were told no one else would be there."
"Who is we?" Alex asked.
"I can't - "
"Who do you think you should be more scared of right now?" Alex asked, pausing before demanding. "Who else was involved?"
"I can't." He said looking terrified.
"Kevin, if you know something, your best option is to come clean now." The Principal said. "The courts are likely to be more lenient on the first person to speak."
"Courts?" He asked paling.
"You and your little gang stabbed someone, what do you think was going to happen?" Alex asked.
"It wasn't meant to go-"
"Tell that to the police. Right now tell me who else was involved." Alex demanded.
"Okay okay." He said before he reeled off names.
-00-
Once Kevin had been taken away by the police Alex went back to the Principal's office. As she sat down the Principal said. "I can't condone violence. No matter the justification." He then looked at the teenage Kara. "But that of course goes both ways. I have given thought to the mitigating circumstances but that doesn't mean you can be absolved from all blame. So you have detention for two weeks. However, next time it will be suspension on worse." He said nervously looking at Alex, whose expression was neutral.
"And Kevin?" Kara aksed.
"The attack happened outside of school time and property. That said all students sign up to the code and he did break it. We do of course operate in innocent until proven guilty world. The police will be contacting me later. If he did confess, without believing his life to be in danger," the last comment directed at Alex, "he and the others will be suspended."
"So is Kara going to be safe at this school?" Alex asked, her tone turning threatening.
"The safety of the students are my top priority." He said.
-00-
"What exactly happened?" Alex asked when they got home.
"I heard Kevin speak and I realised his voice was the one I had heard when I was being attacked. So I punched him." Kara said. "Then I may have punched him again and then Alex pulled me off him."
"And you?" Alex asked looking at her son.
"Kara told me why she punched him, then I heard him say something and I punched him. And then Alex pulled me off him. And then Sumners turned up and we were sent to the Principal's office."
"You can't keep punching people." Alex said, despite feeling Kevin had been fully deserving of what he had got.
"They would have done worse to Kara." MJ argued. Knowing now wasn't the time to argue his sister kicked him.
Perching on the coffee table, looking at her two kids, Alex reached out and took her daughter's hand. "Are you okay?"
"I guess." She shrugged.
"I need to go and oversee the investigation. I will be back later. Neither of you are to leave the house."
-00-
"Mom." Alex said as her mother entered the apartment.
"Hey." Kara said hugging her. "I'm sorry I didn't make it home."
"It's okay." Her daughter said hugging her.
"I hear you did your best to keep your cousins out of trouble." Kara said to her daughter.
"Well it didn't work." The teen said. "Kara and MJ said Alex is about to snap."
"It could have been much worse." Kara said hugging her daughter again. "I missed you so much."
"Are you okay?" The teenager asked.
"I'm fine. I'm sorry I didn't make it home." Kara said repeating her earlier apology.
"What happened?"
"Kal was exposed to a new type of Kryptonite and it affected me too."
"Were you hurt?" The teen asked frowning.
"Not. It made both of us act kind of drunk."
"Why would someone want that?"
"I don't know." Kara confessed.
"Are you going to be sending more time in Metropolis?"
"No. Kal wants to deal with it by himself so I won't be helping."
"Are you okay with that?"
"It means I have more time to spend with you." Kara pointed out. "So any more murder plans I should no about."
"No. Besides, it wouldn't be a good plan if I told people about it." The teen said.
"You have given this way too much thought." Kara said. "Seeing I have not had time to buy any food how about we go out for dinner?"
"You seem tired." Her daughter said. "So why don't we get takeout and watch one of your ancient movies?"
"Really?" Kara asked happily.
"As long as you are happy with another illusion being broken."
"What do you mean?" Kara asked.
"I used to think you had an amazing imagination. Then I came here and discovered Netflix."
"I never claimed to be the creative genius behind those stories." Kara pointed out.
"You never claimed not to be either." The teenager responded.
