"Alex!" Eliza said before running over and hugging her granddaughter. "What were you thinking?"
"Is mom alive?" The teen asked bypassing Eliza's question.
"Of course she is. Why would you think differently?" Eliza asked confused.
"What's going on?" Lena asked the other two teens.
"She's hearing voices and thinks that Aunt Kara is dead." MJ said bluntly.
"She's not is she?" Kara asked worried they had been lying to her cousin.
"No. She's okay." Lena said before approaching Eliza and the teenage Alex.
"I think we need to run some tests." Lena said.
"Let's get you into a lab." Eliza said.
"Mom-" Alex started.
"Your mother is okay. Let me run some tests and then I will take you to her." Eliza said as she led Alex to a lab.
"Good job finding her. But it is probably best to wait at home. Your mom is asleep and needs the rest." Lena said looking at the other two teens. "Besides Eliza is kind of angry at you right now."
"Okay." The teens agreed.

"Look at these readings." Lena said showing Eliza some results.
"But that means she's been exposed. But when? Kara is in a shielded room. And we didn't find any Silver Kryptonite in those readings."
"It probably wasn't from Kara." Lena said.
"You think she was specifically targeted?"
"It could still be accidental. Kara wasn't the only one who was in that research facility. It could be like with the Red K where Alex was exposed to residual amounts."
"Maybe." Eliza said.
"Are you happy giving her the antidote?" Lena asked.
"Yes." Eliza said. "But we need to figure out how she was exposed. I mean J'onn and Barry aren't here. What about Ruby? Has she shown any signs?"
"No. When I spoke to her she was fine."
"That points to here being the exposure point." Eliza said.
"What about Alex, as in your Alex is. She could have been exposed. I'll set up a shield round her room until we know."
"We need to get Alex somewhere safe until we know for sure." Eliza said. "But first she needs to see Kara."
"We need to make sure Kara is safe too." Lena said. "Let me triple check the shield round her room."
-00-
"How are you feeling." Eliza asked approaching her granddaughter.
"Okay. Can I see mom?"
"Soon. First we need to talk about what happened?"
"Am I crazy?" The teen asked. "MJ said I was hearing things."
"You were exposed to silver Kryptonite." Eliza said. "In Kryptonians it makes them see their worst fears. I don't know the full extent of what it did to you, but it definitely made you hear and see things that weren't real. The medicine will get it out of your system and you will go back to normal." She explained. "But the medicine may make you feel sick. But I'll be right here with you." Eliza added as she passed Alex some pills. Once she had swallowed them Eliza asked.
"What happened?"
"I heard you and Lena talking. You said mom was dead. You said it wasn't fair on MJ and Kara for me to live with them an-"
"Alex listen to me." Eliza said cutting her off. "Your mother is okay. Even if she wasn't we will always look after you." She said hugging her.
Suddenly Alex pulled away.
"What's wrong?" Eliza asked frowning.
"Going to be sick." Alex said sprinting to the bathroom.
Once Alex had thrown up, Eliza pulled her in for a hug.
"It's the medicine. You'll be okay."
-00-
"Everything okay?" Lena asked as Eliza appeared.
"The antidote has made Alex pretty sick. I'm just getting her some water." She then looked at Lena and asked "Are we sure that Kara's room is safe?"
"Yes, and it definitely wasn't Kara that exposed her." Lena said.
"Can you keep an eye on Alex, I need to talk to Kara."
-00-
"What's going on?" Kara asked when Eliza approached her bed.
"It's Alex. She was exposed to silver Kryptonite."
"Is she okay?" Kara asked sitting up, the action almost causing her to throw up.
"She thought you were dead. She really needs to see you."
"Is this room safe?" Kara asked.
"We think so. As long as you remain on either sides of the barrier." Eliza said. "I know you didn't want her to see you like this, but she needs to see you."
"Okay." Kara said sitting up, with help from Eliza. "When was she exposed?"
"We are still figuring that out."
"Could she be a target?"
"Maybe." Eliza said. "It's too early to tell."
"I need you to do something for me."

"Mom!" Alex said running towards the transparent prison her mother was locked in.
"Alex." Kara smiled, trying to look strong.
"I thought you wer-" Alex started only for her mother to put her hand against the invisible forcefield. When her daughter did the same she said.
"I'm okay." She paused and looked at her daughter before going on. "I love you so much. And I promise you I am going to get better. But it is going to take some time. While it happens I can't see you. Not because I don't want to, but because it is too dangerous."
"I know."
"And until I am better I can't protect you. Neither can your aunt. So I want you to stay on Argo for a while."
"You are sending me away?"
"No. The choice is yours." Kara said. "But if you are on Argo I know you will be safe and I can focus on getting better."
"I don't want to leave you." The teen cried.
"I don't want you to leave me." Kara said. "It won't be for long. As soon as I am better I'll come for you."
"Are you really going to be okay?" Alex asked, seeing through her mother's brave front, and seeing the tiredness and pain in her eyes.
"I'm going to be okay. Especially if I know you are safe."
"Okay. I'll go." The teen agreed. "I love you."
"I love you too. So much." Kara said pressing harder on the forcefield. "I'll come for you as soon as I can." She added, barely managing to keep the tears at bay.
"Ok." Alex said as tears ran down her face.
"You should go." Kara said.
"I Love you." Alex said looking at their hands more time before leaving.
Kara watched her daughter leave before collapsing to the floor and crying.
Seeing her friend sitting on the floor crying, Lena entered the cell and hugged her.

"Okay, one more set of readings and if they look good we'll take you home." Eliza said to her granddaughter who was sitting in one of the small labs with Chewie.
"So I can pack?"
"Your mother just wants you to be safe. Right now Argo is the safest place there is." Eliza said. "But your mother is going to miss you."
"Chewie can't come can he?"
"No. We don't know if he is carrying anything that might hurt the people of Argo and vice versa. But don't worry I'll look after him for you."
"Can he stay with mom?"
"Of course." Eliza said.
-00-
"What's going on?" The adult Alex asked as Lena entered her room.
"What do mean?"
"You and mom have been acting really odd. Is Kara okay?"
"Yes."
"Then what's going on and why are you running another scan?"
"Alex was exposed to Silver Kryptonite. She ended up thinking Kara was dead and she was unwanted and she ran away-" Lena started only for Alex to jump in.
"Is she-"
"Kara and MJ found her and she is okay. But we are trying to figure out where she was exposed."
"You think it is me?" Alex guessed.
"It's a possibility." Lena said as the scanner started bleeping.
"That's a bad sign I take it?" Alex said.
"Yes, it confirms the presence of Silver Kryptonite."
"Where is it?" Alex asked.
"I don't know. I'm going to have to do better scans. It could take awhile."

When Eliza and J'onn entered Alex's house, J'onn carrying the sleeping teenage Alex in his arms, MJ and Kara raced to door. Seeing their cousin was asleep they held back their questions and waited for the adults to direct them.
"Where do you want me to put her?" J'onn asked.
"Put her in my room." Kara said. "She won't want to be alone."
"Okay." J'onn said as Eliza directed the two older teens to the lounge.
"Is she okay?" Kara asked once J'onn had disappeared upstairs with the sleeping Alex.
"She is now." Eliza said.
"What happened?" MJ asked.
"Alex was exposed to a type of Kryptonite. In Kryptonians it makes them see hallucinations of their worst fears. But in Alex it seemed to do that as well as possibly triggered some of her other powers. We've got the Kryptonite out of her system and she should be okay. We also found out where she was exposed. I need you to listen to me." Eliza said looking at the kids. "Both of your mothers have Kryptonite in them."
"What do you mean in them?" MJ asked.
"Just that. When they were taken someone operated and put Kryptonite in them."
"Can't you just take it out?" MJ asked.
"Getting it out is going to be hard." Eliza said. "It will take a while. In the mean time it isn't safe for you to see them. Especially for Alex. And it isn't safe for Alex to be near them. So we are sending Alex to Agro."
"Does she know?" MJ asked.
"Yes, we discussed it earlier." Eliza said. "She wasn't happy about it. But Kara persuaded her it is the right thing to do."
"And us?" MJ asked.
"There is less danger to you if you stay than there would be for Alex. But-"
"She said she had no where to go." The teenage Kara said to her grandmother.
"What?" Eliza asked lost.
"When we found her at the spaceship MJ asked why she hadn't taken it anywhere and she said she had no where to go. She has lived on so many planets but she felt she had no where to go. That includes Argo. We aren't going to let her go alone."
