"How are you feeling?" Eliza asked approaching Kara's bed.
"Sick." She confessed as Chewie jumped up on the bed. "How's Alex?"
"Free from silver Kryptonite and safely on Argo."
"Does she hate me for sending her away?"
"No. She's worried about you. She just wants you to get better."
"Am I getting better?" Kara asked.
"You had a lot of Kryptonite in you, it will take time for it all to leave your system." Eliza said. "But we are doing everything we can."
"Why's Chewie here?"
"Alex insisted." Eliza smiled before Kara frowned. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Kara said shaking her head. "For a moment everything got really loud. But it is back to normal now."
"You sure?" Eliza asked.
"Yeah, it's fine."
"I'm going to check on your sister. Get some rest." Eliza siad.

"How's Alex?" The older Alex asked as Eliza entered her room.
"She's on Argo with Kara and MJ."
"How did you persuade them?"
"I didn't. They didn't want Alex to be alone on Argo." Eliza explained.
"How's Kara doing?"
"Holding it together, barely." Eliza said.
"What's happened to Diz?"
"He's still on Earth. With a DEO guard." Eliza said. "He helped find Alex." She added as Lena walked into the room.
"Have you found it?" Alex asked.
"They somehow embedded silver Kryptonite into your femur." Lena said looking at the scan.
"How?" Eliza asked looking at the scan before looking at her daughter and asked. "Do you remember it?"
"No. But I was unconscious for most of my time there." Alex said. Sensing the barrage of questions coming from her mother she turned to Lena and said.
"Take it out." Alex said.
"You know it isn't that simple." Lena said as Alex took the tablet off her and looked at the scans.
"The way it has spread we may need to remove a part of the bone."
"Okay." Alex said. "The nanite technology can help repair it."
"Maybe." Lena said. "But look at that scan. The amount we will need to take out may be too much for the nainites. There is no guarantee you will have full strength in the leg again."
"Better than walking round as a threat to Kara and Alex."
"It will hurt like hell. And recovery will be long and may not be one hundred percent." Lena went on.
"Lena, I understand the risks. Just get it out of me." Alex asked.

"Alex?" MJ shouted as he and his sister searched the old ruins for their cousin.
"Down here." His cousin called back from down an incline, where she was sat on the ground.
"You want to come up?" MJ shouted back down.
"Pretty sure that's not happening." The teenage Alex called back.
Confused the two siblings stared at each other before scrambling and sliding down the hill.
"What happened?" Kara asked skidding to a stop in front of Alex.
"I fell. I think I sprained my ankle." The teen said miserably.
"You do remember you can't fly on Earth? You have no chance here." MJ said as he looked at the ankle. "That's looks nasty. Can you put any weight on it?"
"A little."
"That probably means it's not broken. But we have nothing to strap it up with here so you'll have to use us as a crutch. Unless you want to stay here all night. But Alura is already stressing."
"Pretty sure you aren't helping." Kara pointed out as she stood on the other side of her cousin and worked with MJ to get Alex standing on her good leg.
"You okay?" Kara asked Alex.
"Yeah."
"Come on."

"How are you feeling?" Eliza asked approaching Kara who was lying in bed stroking Chewie.
"Okay I guess." She said sounding anything other than okay.
"We've figured out where Alex was exposed to silver Kryptonite." Eliza said sitting in a chair next to Kara's bed.
"They embedded Silver Kryptonite into Alex's, the older crabbier one, femur."
"Is she okay?" Kara asked.
"Okay enough to demand it was removed immediately."
"Can you do that? Is it even safe?"
"Using Lena's nanite technology to help replace the removed bone she should be okay."
"Should?" Kara asked.
"Their are not guarantees. They'll have to remove some of the bone and replace it with an artificial bone. How it will fuse to her current bone, even with nanites is an unknown right now." Eliza said. "If it works like the simulations imply it will, then within three months she should be back to normal. But some of that is based on how well Alex follows instructions."
"You need to stop her." Kara said.
"You know as well as I do there is no stopping her." Eliza said. "Besides it is too late. She is already being operated on." Eliza said. "But while there is nothing I can do for Alex right now, I'm here to help you however you want."
"I'm okay." Kara lied before looking at her foster mother and saying. "I never thanked you."
"For what Sweetie?" Eliza asked.
"Being there, in my head, talking to me. Trying to keep me sane."
"You are talking about when you were wearing the contacts?" Eliza asked.
"Yes. I don't remember all of it. After the second dose of Kryptonite I couldn't really concentrate on anything. And when you and Lena took control of me with the contacts, I was kind of aware of what was happening, but not really. It was like a weird out of body experience. But I do remember hearing you. Hearing you trying to encourage me and calm me and being there for me."
"Of course I was there for you, I'm just sorry you had to go through all of that." Eliza said as Kara suddenly shut her eyes. "You okay?"
"Yeah headache." Kara said opening her eyes. As she did so they started to glow read and Eliza ducked moments before Kara's heat vision activated.
"Eliza? I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" Kara asked once her heat vision finally stopped.
"I'm fine." Eliza said standing. "What happened?"
"I don't know. My head started hurting then I opened my eyes and well you saw."
"It's probably a result of the Kryptonite." Eliza said. "Try getting some rest."

"What happened?" Alura asked as the three teens entered the house, Alex being supported by her cousins.
"I sprained my ankle." The teen said.
"I will get Col-Or over." Alura said.
"It's fine. It's just a sprain." Alex said but Alura had already disappeared.
As the cousin's helped her to the couch MJ said. "I'll get some ice."
"I'm okay." Alex said.
"Pretty sure you aren't." The teenage Kara said. "What were you doing out there anyway?"
"Just looking round."
"Why didn't you take us?" The teenage Kara pressed.
"I thought you had better things to do."
"You know what you think you heard when you were on silver Kryptonite wasn't real right?" Kara asked as MJ returned and put the ice on the injured joint.
"Yeah." Alex said, her answer not convincing her cousin. However at that point Alura returned with another Kryptonian.

"No holes in the walls, that's good." Lena said as she entered Kara's room.
"Eliza told you?"
"Yes. I've come to run some more scans to see if we can figure out why. But Eliza was probably right and it is a side effect of the Kryptonite that is still inside you." Lena said as she started to run some tests.
"How's Alex?" Kara asked. "Is the operation over?"
"It is and it was successful." Lena said. "The hard part will be getting Alex to follow instructions during recovery." She added as she looked at the readings. "Hmmm."
"Hmm what?" Kara asked.
"The regulator we put in you is starting to struggle."
"Could that be why I can't control my powers?"
"Maybe." Lena said, although she didn't sound convinced.
"Can you put in a new one?"
"To do that we would have to put you under red lamps, and based on your current state that might be deadly." Lena said. "So I think you are just going to ride it out."
"What if I hurt someone?"
"We can keep the forcefield up." Lena said. "Whatever happens we'll figure it out."

As Col-Or fired off questions to Alex in Kryptonese, Kara and MJ stood to one side wondering what was going on. Eventually Col-Or wrapped Alex's ankle in bandages and looked at Alura, before once again speaking in Kryptonese before leaving.
"Well?" MJ asked.
"It's sprained." Alex summarised.
"Either the Kryptonian for sprained is the longest word in the galaxy or a lot more was said." MJ countered.
"Alex needs to keep the weight off it for a few days." Alura added. "But she will be fine."
"You guys may as well go home." Alex said to her cousins.
"Why?" Kara asked as MJ said.
"I'm just going to be in bed for the next few days." The teen reminded them.
"So?" MJ asked.
"We're not going." Kara added.
