"What? You don't make the effort?" Lobo asked when Supergirl landed at his cave the next day.

"What?" Supergirl questioned.

"You look like a Krawertz after a night on Koot."

"I don't know what any of that means." Supergirl sad. "Are you ready for the fight?"

"You know this would be far more efficient if you took the red ring." He said.

"No."

"Don't you think they deserve the hell you'd unleash?"

"No."

"After what they did to baby Supes? You could kill all of them for what they did."

"I don't kill."

"But you would with the ring. It would be so much more fun." Lobo countered.

"No ring. And in today's fight no grenades." Supergirl argued. "And no killing."

"Yer a real drag." Lobo said. In response Supergirl just stared at him.

"Fine. But I chose when and where."

"Okay. But no innocents are to get hurt." Supergirl went on.

"Then stop me." Lobo shrugged. "I'll send you a signal when I am ready. But first I'm gonna drink. Then maybe I'll look as bad as yer."

"When is the fight?" Vasquez asked as Supergirl arrived at the DEO.

"I don't know exactly. Lobo said he'd send a signal."

"What kind of signal?"

"No idea, but I doubt it will be subtle."

"The medical team are on standby."

"Medical team?" Kara asked.

"Alex's orders."

"Any luck with actually figuring any of this out?" Kara asked.

"Not yet. But we are working as fast as we can, as we are guessing that if we don't have anything to offer Lobo he'll do things his way." Vasquez said.

"Ma'am. Lobo has just blown up the old shopping mall on the East side." Rose said approaching.

"Like I said, it won't be subtle." Supergirl said flying off.

"Make sure the tv crews go there." Vasquez ordered Rose.

When Supergirl landed at the scene she was immediately struck on her back by a giant pole that Lobo had ripped from the ground. The blow causing her to drop to her knees.

"Welcome to the party." Lobo grinned as Supergirl got up and turned to face him.

"If you are going to take away my fun with killing you are going to have to replace it somewhere else." He said as he started to unleash punch after punch. Each punch Supergirl managed to parry, but each one pushing her further back.

"Just remember why we are doing this." Supergirl said.

"Fun." He said as he managed to land a blow so hard that Supergirl crashed straight through the building behind her.

Shaking off the blow and the dust Supergirl started to get angry. Stepping out of the building aware that TV cameras were everywhere she saw Lobo waiting for her.

"That all you got?" Lobo asked sounding disappointed.

"I don't want to hurt you." Supergirl said wobbling to her feet.

"You can't." He said launching himself at her again.

This time Supergirl fought back and unleashed a battery of punches on Lobo who was momentarily taken aback by the ferocity of the attack and found himself being pushed backwards before stumbling over brick and falling to the floor.

Instead of looking angry he smiled and got to his feet before saying.

"That's more like it." He then ripped another lamppost out of the ground and tried to spear Supergirl who dodged at the last minute. Instead the lamppost went straight through one of the supporting walls of the building behind her, which started to crumble. Torn between saving the building and protecting herself Supergirl hesitated enough for Lobo to unleash another blow on Supergirl who went flying back into the crumbling building. Sensing the danger Supergirl recovered quickly enough to fly upwards and managed to fly through the roof before the whole building came down. Shaking off the dust she landed in front of lobo.

"That was fun. Better with grenades though." Lobo said. "Although cigars can be almost as much fun." He said as Supergirl started to smell gas. Before she could anything he threw his cigar towards the smell of gas.

"Catch you later." He said disappearing at speed moments before a huge explosion rocked the area sending Supergirl flying into yet another building.

"Supergirl." The adult Alex shouted over the radio. "Supergirl!"

"Huhh?" Supergirl asked shaking off the effects.

"Are you okay?" Her sister asked over the radio.

"Yes." Supergirl said sitting up. "So prefer training with you though."

"I'm back." Kara called entered the apartment that evening. "And I have food." She added before seeing all the teens, including Diz and Martin. "Hi Diz, hi Martin." Kara smiled.

"Hi." The various teens mumbled in response.

"Not that I am not happy to see all of you, but why are you hanging here rather than the much bigger house across the road?" Kara asked looking round the room.

"Grandma and mom were arguing." MJ said.

"About what?" Kara asked putting the pizza box on the table.

"We didn't want to hang around long enough to find out." The teenage Kara said.

"In that case I'll go play peacemaker." Kara said.

"I'll walk you over." The teenage Alex said.

"Okay." Kara said leading her daughter outside the apartment. The second they were outside Alex hugged her mother.

"Everything okay?" Kara asked.

"You tell me." The teen said.

"What do you mean?"

"I saw the news. You said you weren't going to fight for real. It looked real."

"I'm fine. We needed it to look real." Kara reminded her. "But I promise you I'm okay."

"So you are still working with him?"

"For now yes. It is the best option." Kara said. "But I am okay." She added hugging her. Pulling back she asked. "So are you coming over with me or retreating back home."

"Retreating." The teen said. "You sure you are okay?"

"I'm fine. Go have fun."

"What's going on?" Kara asked entering her sister's house, immediately feeling the tension.

"Nothing." Both Alex and Eliza answered.

"The kids are hiding at my place telling different story." Kara pointed out.

"Difference of opinion." Alex said as Eliza approached Kara.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Kara said before guessing. "Are you arguing about Lobo?"

"It's too risky." Eliza said. "You can't trust him."

"Seeing you both think that why are you arguing?" Kara asked.

"Apparently I should have stopped you." Alex said.

"You tried." Kara reminded her. "Look I know you don't trust Lobo. Neither do I, but this truce is the best option. Besides Lobo does keep his word."

"No offence but you trust everyone." Alex reminded her.

"Technically I don't trust Lobo. I just don't think he is going to betray me, yet." Kara said. "I really appreciate the concern, but right what would help me more is you not arguing about what I am doing and instead focusing more on Alex, so I can focus on Lobo."

"What's wrong with Alex?" Eliza asked.

"She is still terrified after what happened and keeps having nightmares. Last night she didn't want to sleep and she won't talk about her nightmares as it makes them seem too real."

"We'll look after her." Eliza said. "You just focus on what you need to focus on. But what exactly are you going to do with Lobo?"

"That's where I come in." Alex said.

"You?" Kara asked.

"I have another meeting with Kendell tomorrow. We are going to lay the trap. Seeing how quickly he spread the story of you working with Lobo, it shouldn't take long for him to act this time."

"Should you be in work?" Kara asked.

"I am sitting at a desk, no different from staying at home."

"It sounds pretty different." Kara said.

"If I am at the DEO I can keep an eye on you." Alex said.

When Kara finally returned home, she only saw Alex and Chewie sitting on the couch.

"Hi." She called. "Did you have fun tonight?"

"I guess." The teen said. "And Steve said hi." She said putting down her phone and asking. "You sure you are okay?"

"I promise you, I am fine. Do you really think your aunt or grandmother would let me be here if I wasn't?"

"Alex can't even stand." The teen pointed out.

"True, but that wouldn't stop her." Kara promised her as she sat down next to her. "You need to stop worrying so much."

"Kara said I learned it from you." The teen said.

"Yeah, probably. But you can be better than me." Kare pointed out. "But for that to happen you need to sleep."

"I know."

"Do you think you can sleep tonight?"

"I'll try. But can you stay with me until I fall to sleep?"

"Of course." Kara said. "Go get ready for bed. I'll be in in a moment."

"Okay." The teen said as she walked off with Chewie.

Once the teen had disappeared Kara took out her phone and scrolled through all her missed messages. Having dealt with the important ones she put her phone down and walked over to her daughter's bedroom. As she looked into the room and saw her daughter was already asleep she smiled and quietly shut the door.
