"You know your debt is only paid if you help me?" Lobo asked when Supergirl appeared later the next day.
"We are helping you. We are going through everyone working for Stagg to figure out who it is we are looking for. If you had been honest at the start things would be moving faster."
"Working alone would be faster." Lobo said.
"And against your word." Kara said.
"Well if we aren't maiming you need to entertain me. Or I go fragging."
"That's not how this works." Supergirl said.
"Kinda is."
"If you want you could fight some DEO toys."
"Why?"
"Hone your skills."
"They're fine."
"Or you could stay here and get drunk?" Supergirl suggested.
"Only if you join me."

"Lobo is getting restless. We need to end this."
"We have narrowed the suspect list to five." Vasquez said.
"Make that four." Rose called back. "Robinson checks out."
"Any idea where those four are?" Kara asked.
"No. Not yet. We'll let you know if we get anything."
"How about the metas?" Kara asked. "Can they tell us anything."
"The ones who are almost back to normal have talked about various scientists who were pretty sick. Our guess it is one of them, but we can't work out which. But like I said Lobo's target isn't the only sick member of staff. We need to make sure we get all of them." Vasquez explained as Harris walked over.
"We have sketches of those in charge of the Meta experiments, or at least the ones they saw." He said passing her a tablet.
"This one Vasquez said recognising the picture. He's one from the list."

"We have a name for you." Supergirl said approaching Lobo.
"About time." He said.
"It is Niles Mills."
"Where is he?"
"That is what we are figuring out."
"I've got it from here. I'll ask Stagg." He said walking towards the entrance of the cave.
"No. I'll come with you."
"No." Stagg said punching her. The punch taking her by surprise and she staggered out of his way before he walked past her and disappeared.
"Bad news." Kara radioed her sister.
"What?"
"Lobo has gone after Stagg." The statement causing Alex to fire off warnings to Kendell. As she did so Alex said.
"Do not go after him. Come back here. We need to approach this together."
"On my way." Supergirl said.

"What's happening?" Supergirl said when she flew into the DEO and saw all the monitors showing scenes of destruction.
"All hell is breaking loose." Alex said.
"Lobo?"
"Not exactly. I warned Kendell that Lobo was on his way and Stagg reacted by releasing all, or at least many, of his remaining metas."
"What do you mean released?"
"Just that there are at least fifty of them attacking locations in National City."
"Why? I mean wouldn't he want to use them as bodyguards." Supergirl said.
"Don't know. Technically it may not have been Stagg."
"What does that mean?"
"Maybe Tycho is behind it. At this stage we don't know. All we know is a whole bunch of modified metas are rampaging through the city. And that's just the start."
"What?"
"I need you not to fly off."
"The kids?" Supergirl asked paling.
"Are fine. But it looks like Tycho may have made a move on Superman. He is under attack in Metropolis and the people attacking him are armed with Kryptonite."
"Is Kal okay?"
"For now." Alex said.
"Where do you want me?"
"If you go out there you will be a target."
"I can't live in fear." Kara said.
"Fine." Alex said. "The choice is yours. You can either help your cousin or help with the metas but stay on the radio."
"I will." Kara said looking at the video screens to decide where to go. Eventually she said. "I'll help with the metas."
"Be careful." Alex said. Nodding Kara flew out of the DEO before feeling something wasn't right and flew back to the DEO.
"What's wrong?" Alex asked confused.
"It's a trap." Supergirl said.
"What is-" Alex started to ask only for the building to shake as something exploded. Immediately Supergirl was as Alex's side shielding her from the explosion.
"How did you know?"
"Seemed too easy." Supergirl said before seeing several armed men storm the control room.
"You have a weird definition of easy." Alex said looking round at the damage and danger.
"I need to get you somewhere safe." Supergirl said carrying her sister to safety.
Putting Alex down in what she considered to be a safe place Supergirl flew off again.
"Kara wait." Alex called but she Supergirl was only gone.
Pulling out her phone Alex was about to call her sister back when she heard a familiar voice call.
"Alex?"
"Sam? What are you doing here?" Alex asked.
"I live here." Sam pointed out as Supergirl dropped the younger Alex, Chewie and MJ off in a blur.
"What's going on?" MJ asked looking at his mother while looking pale.
"I don't know." Alex said as Supergirl returned with the younger Kara and Diz.
"What the hell?" Diz asked.
"Like he said." Sam agreed.
"I have no idea." Alex said moments before Eliza was dropped off.
"Alex?" Eliza asked looking and feeling disorientated.
"You guys want to sit?" Sam offered still none the wiser about what was happening.
"Is mom in trouble?" The teenage Alex asked her aunt.
"I'm sure she'll be fine." The older Alex said.
"Why am I here?" Diz asked.
"I think Supergirl was trying to keep you safe." The older Alex said before looking at Sam and asking. "Can you watch the kids for a minute?"
"Sure." Sam said as Alex limped out of the room, quickly followed by Eliza
"What's going on?" Eliza asked.
"All hell is breaking lose. Kara was about to join the fight but then came back to the DEO, just as there was an explosion. She then brought me here." Alex explained. "I need to talk to my team and figure out what is happening."
"I'll look after the kids." Eliza said heading back to the lounge where she saw a new arrival.
"Lena? What are you doing here?"
"Supergirl just kidnapped me. Which I gather is what happened to all of you."

"They're all safe." Supergirl said as she returned to the DEO. "What's happening here?"
"As soon as you took Alex the intruders retreated."
"So she was the target?"
"Looks that way." Vasquez said. "Good catch."
"Where do you need me?"
"If we assume, like you did, that everything going on is a distraction to get Alex it probably means you are the ultimate target."
"So you want me as bait?"
"We already are. We sent J'onn out as you. He's helping your cousin."
"What's happening with Lobo?" Supergirl asked.
"Rampaging through Stagg's office building. But we have bigger concerns." She said pointing to the monitor bank showing all the damage being done by the Metas.
"I can't just stay here those Metas are tearing up the city." Supergirl said.
"I know. But hopefully J'onn has gained enough attention as you that if you are the target the focus will be Metropolis. But if we are wrong, you are going to be in danger if you go out there."
"I'll be careful." Supergirl said. "Besides we can't leave those Metas, too many people will get hurt."

As Supergirl fought to subdue and then place inhibitors on as many metas as she could she heard a large cracking sound from behind her. Turning she saw the L-Corp tower and at the base of it a large crack forming. Looking round she saw a man staring intently at the base of the building. Guessing they were doing something to it, she ran to them and placed an inhibitor on them before turning back and seeing the crack spread up the building.
"Not good. Really not good." She said seeing the building start to lean. Flying to it she pushed against it trying to hold it steady.
"Need some help?" A familiar voice said from her side.
"What are you doing here?" Supergirl asked.
"It looked like you could use the help." Barry said. "Just one thing, is this you or the other you?"
"It's me." Kara smiled. "J'onn is still helping Kal."
"So what's the plan?"
"Can you get everyone out? I'll hold it as long as I can."
"On it." Barry said.
As he handled the evacuation Supergirl looked round for something to secure the building with. Seeing nothing she focused on holding it, but despite her efforts she heard several worrying cracks causing her to mutter. "Come on Barry."
Turning again she saw several people standing nearby taking photos. Shaking her head she finally saw some police officers running towards her.
"What can we do?" One of them asked.
"Evacuate the whole area. This building isn't going to hold." Supergirl said causing them to start talking on their radios.
"What about this building? Who is controlling the evac?"
"The Flash. You guys need to not go in. I really don't know how long I can hold it for." Supergirl said.
"Understood." He said backing away and coordinating the clearing of the zone.
"Everyone is out." Barry said as he skidded next to Supergirl. "What now?"
"Crack has gone all the way up. I don't think it will hold." Supergirl said, grunting with exertion.
"What if we dismantle it?"
"How?"
"One brick at a time?" Barry asked. "If I get the top corner down it might help?"
"Do what you need to do." Kara said.
Nodding Barry zipped up and down the building hundreds of times bringing big chunks down with him until finally the dangerous part of the building was removed. No longer feeling resistance Supergirl let go and waited for it to fall. When it didn't she sighed and stretched her arms out.
"You okay?" Barry asked.
"Yes. Thanks for the help."
"Anytime. So what now?"
"There are metas everywhere. We have inhibitors but there are so many of them." Supergirl said.
"Well now there are two of us and in case you have forgotten I'm fast." Barry grinned.
"Some of them have powers that you won't do so well against." Supergirl warned.
"Let's work as a team then." Barry said.
