"It looks a mess out there." Sam commented as she watched the news the next morning.
"I should be in National City doing something." Lena complained.
"You are an obvious target." Sam pointed out.
"Especially as Stagg believes you actually created a weapon that worked on Lobo."
"Doesn't make sitting around doing nothing any easier." Lena said. "And if Stagg thought I could be useful, why destroy my office?" Lena asked.
"Maybe Stagg didn't release those metas. Or maybe Tycho or other has someone on the inside of Stagg's camp?" Sam said. "Right now we don't have enough information to figure anything out." She added as the kitchen door opened and the teenage Kara walked in.
"Any news on Aunt Kara?" The teenager asked as Sam turned the TV off.
"Not yet." Eliza said turning to face her.
"Do you know where Alex is?" The teen asked, knowing her cousin hadn't gone to bed.
"She's sleeping on the couch." Eliza explained. "Your mom is in there as well."
"She's still here?" The teen asked surprised. "We kinda thought she would have tried getting back to National City and the DEO."
"She knows better." Eliza said, although she didn't sound entirely convinced. She then asked. "Did you sleep okay?"
"I guess."
"Do you want some breakfast?"
"No, I'm not hungry." She said as Diz walked in.
"Any news?" He asked.
"Not yet." Eliza said.
"Does Supergirl not like your aunt or something?" Diz asked Kara.
"What do you mean?" Kara asked.
"Supergirl brought all of you here, and me, to keep us safe. But left your aunt."
"She's working on finding the missing Metas." Lena jumped in.
"She could have done that here." Diz said.
"She needed access to DEO resources." Lena added. "Unfortunately she had to be in National City."
"That sucks for Alex." Diz said.
"Yes it does." Lena agreed.
"Seeing you two are awake, can you do something with Chewie?" Eliza asked.
"We're allowed out of the house?" The teenage Kara asked.
"The backyard is safe." Sam said. "There's probably an old tennis ball in the basement."
"Okay." Kara said.

"Ma'am?" Supergirl heard as she felt something shake her.
Forcing her eyes open she saw an unfamiliar face in front of her as another, familiar voice said.
"I've got it from here."
"Yes ma'am." The first face said leaving.
"Welcome back." Vasquez said as Kara tried to focus on her.
"Vasquez? Kara asked confused trying to sit up.
"Easy."
"I'm okay. Is this the DEO? How? I need to get out there."
"No you don't." Vasquez said. "You have been out cold for ninety two minutes. Which have been the longest ninety two minutes of my life as I pictured every way your sister could and would kill me."
"I'm fine. The hospital?"
"It's okay. You absorbed the blast." Vasquez said.
"Good. But I have to go. It's still a mess out there and I'm fine."
"Lying aside. There is nothing to go out to. Barry has dealt with the spiders and metas. Stagg is continuing to provide a very comprehensive statement."
"Lobo?"
"Disappeared. We got to the lab moments after the grenade went off. We rounded up everyone there and they gave us the location they gave Lobo. But by the time we got to that location no one was there."
"Kal and J'onn?"
"Both fine. When J'onn arrived at a facility he subdued the captors pretty quickly. But we don't know where Tycho is. So for now the danger is gone and you can stay. In fact will stay under the lamps."
"No. I need to get to Alex." Supergirl said standing.
"Should you be standing?" Barry asked entering the infirmary.
"Hey. What are you doing here?" Supergirl asked.
"Checking on you." He said.
"How did you deal with the spiders?"
"You would have loved it. Think T-47 tow cables and AT-AT Walkers."
"You pulled a Hoth?" Supergirl asked eyes wide.
"Yes." He grinned as alarms started to ring.
"What the-" Vasquez said as Rose radioed her.
"It's Lobo. He's here." Rose said moments before Lobo burst into the infirmary.
"What are you doing here?" Supergirl asked as Lobo approached.
"Why so cold?" Lobo asked, earning a glare from Supergirl.
"You blew me up." Supergirl pointed out.
"You like it rough." Lobo grinned.
"What's going on?" Barry asked standing in front of Supergirl.
"Is he competition?" Lobo asked.
"What? No." Supergirl said.
"Looks like competition. Kinda weak and pathetic, but competition." Lobo said before punching Barry through a wall.
"Stop." Supergirl said. "If you want help-"
"I don't." Lobo cut in.
"Where is he? Did you kill him?" Kara asked guessing he was there to gloat.
"He's gone. Took off as soon as he figured he was the target." Lobo said taking out a cigar that Supergirl immediately took off him as she asked.
"Gone where?"
"Another planet." Lobo said.
"So now what?
"You help."
"You said all debts were paid." Supergirl reminded him. "And you keep your word."
"So you don't want to come?" He asked.
"No."
"Fine, now I'll go find him. Then maim, then kill. Then drink. Or maybe, maim, drink, kill, drink. Sure you don't want to join me?" Lobio asked.
"Yes."
"What about baby supes?"
"Neither of us want to see you ever again." Supergirl said.
"You don't mean that." He said taking out another cigar, which Supergirl again took before crushing it.
"Yes I do." She said. For a moment Lobo stared at her before taking the red lantern ring from his pocket, immediately smirking when Supergirl stepped back in fear.
"I'll be back. And you will beg to wear the ring. We will have so much fun." He said before walking out, deliberately lighting another cigar under a sensor causing the smoke alarms to trigger and the sprinklers to kick in.
Ignoring his retreating figure Kara looked over to Barry who was picking himself off the floor.
"You okay?" She asked over the alarm as she Barry and Vasquez were drenched by the sprinklers.
"Yeah." He said moving his jaw around. He then looked at Kara and asked. "You sure you are okay?"
"Yes. I just need to get to Alex." she shouted as the sprinklers finally deactivated.
"I'll take you. It'll be faster and you probably shouldn't fly." Barry said.
"It wouldn't be faster." Kara protested as they both disappeared in a blur leaving a soggy Vasquez standing alone.

As Kara entered the house she saw Sam who pointed to the lounge. Nodding Kara entered the room and saw her daughter sleeping against her sister. Hearing the door the older Alex looked up and relief crossed her face before looking down at the teenager and shaking her awake.
"Did I start projecting?" The teen asked as she woke and saw her aunt looking down at her.
"No." Alex smiled. "You have a visitor."
Looking round the teen saw her mother.
"Mom?" The teenage Alex asked leaping off the couch and rushing over to her.
"Hey." Kara said hugging her tightly.
"Are you okay?" The teen asked.
"I'm fine." She smiled into the hug.
"You sure?" Her sister asked as she stood.
"Yes." Kara assured her.
"Is it over?" Her daughter as pulling away.
"It seems to be." Kara confirmed.
"We have a lot to talk about. And the second we can we will." The older Alex warned her sister. "But I let you two catch up." She added limping from the room.
"I missed you." The teenage Alex said hugging her mother again.
"Me too." Kara said.
"Did you get hurt?"
"Do I look hurt?"
"No. But that doesn't mean you didn't get hurt."
"Why do I get a horrible feeling you are going to be a lawyer?" Kara asked holding her tightly as the door opened and the other three teens entered the room.
"Aunt Kara, you're here!" The teenage Kara said.
"Hi guys." The adult Kara smiled at them. She then looked down at her daughter and said. "Why don't you go have a shower. Then we'll walk Chewie and catch up?"
"Okay." The teen agreed.
-00-
"Everything okay?" Eliza asked as Kara entered the kitchen.
"It's fine. Alex is just getting ready then we'll walk Chewie." Kara said as Eliza drew her youngest into a hug.
"So you have five minutes to fill us in." The older Alex said.
"Hasn't Vasquez done that?" Kara asked looking round at her sister.
"No. What happened? How did you even know I was in danger?" Alex asked.
"Instinct. It just felt like a trap." Kara said. "So I brought you here, hoping they wouldn't think about looking here. Then I got the kids and you two." She said looking at Lena and Eliza. She then looked specifically at Lena and said. "I couldn't save your office though."
"We saw." Sam said. "Was anyone hurt?"
"A few. But we got everyone out alive."
"Are you okay?" Eliza asked her youngest.
"I'm fine. Just a little tired it was a long night."
"Well you are welcome to stay here and get some sleep." Sam said.
"I appreciate that. But I need to get back to National City."
"Why?" The older Alex asked.
"There's a lot to do with the clean up."
"That can wait." Eliza said. "You need to rest."
"But-"
"No buts. Rest." Eliza said firmly.
"Fine. But I want to talk to Alex again first."
"You should probably eat something as well." Her sister said.
"Why don't you walk Chewie with Alex and I'll go and get some take out?" Sam suggested. "When I get back you can eat it then get some rest. Assuming it is safe I'll take the other kids with me so you can all have some downtime."
"Thank you." Eliza smiled.
-00-
"You okay?" Kara asked as she walked with her daughter and Chewie.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?"
"I'm fine." Kara promised her. "I'm sorry I didn't have time to talk to you before leaving you here."
"You had bigger concerns."
"You are always my biggest concern." Kara said. "How are your powers?"
"Did Alex talk to you?" The teen asked.
"No. Why? What happened?"
"Nothing. But we talked about them last night."
"Did it help?"
"Maybe. A bit." The teen said before asking. "What's going to happen now?"
"With what?"
"Everything."
"Are you thinking Lobo?" Kara guessed. "Because he's gone."
"Where?"
"Another planet."
"But he could be back." The teen said.
"Or he may stay away. It's a big Galaxy." Kara pointed out before yawning.
"Should you be out?" The teen asked. "Shouldn't you be under the lamps."
"It's sunny." Kara pointed out as she pointed to the sun.
"But you are moving round."
"I'm okay." Kara promised her. "Besides I have already promised Eliza I will sleep after I have eaten. But right now all I care about is making sure you are okay."
"I'm fine."
"You seem a little quiet. I'm sorry I scared you." Kara said hugging her daughter.
"It's your job."
"The job that really matters is looking after you."
"I'm sorry I let you down." The teen said into the hug.
"You haven't let me down." Kara said pulling away to look at her. "Why would you think that?"
"Because of what I shared."
"Alex, I'm really lost right now." Kara confessed leading her to a bench.
"I shared my memory of the lab and my feelings. You saw that I was glad that they died. What if I felt glad because I am like my father's family? What if I am bad?"
"Firstly, you aren't bad. Secondly, we have no idea what they are like." Kara reminded her. "Besides, and I know it is horrible, but I was glad too because it meant you were safe. I'm sorry I didn't notice that you were carrying around that guilt. But I need you to remember that no matter what happens and no matter what you feel I will always love you." Kara said pulling her in for a hug.
