Jennifer Baratta - There will be more heart to hearts to come.

"Lena? What are you doing here?" Alex asked when she let her friend into the house.

"Checking up on you."

"Did Kara send you?"

"No. Well she asked me to check in, but that's not why I am here. Well I guess it is in a way, but not the Kara way."

"Everything okay?" Alex asked as she sat back down on the couch.

"I was going to ask you that. How's the itch?"

"What itch?"

"The itch to drink. I know drinking this time wasn't your choice but your system still took a hit. A hit it is craving again." Lena said.

"I'm okay." Alex said. "I won't lie and say I don't want a drink, but I'm on top of it."

"And the withdrawal symptoms?"

"Really, I'm fine. Well no, I am angry."

"Then why are you sitting here rather than at the DEO doing something about it?" Lena asked. "Sitting here stewing isn't going to help."

"You're right." Alex said. "But I'm not sitting here stewing. I'm going through all the files we have on Malaise and the others."

"I stand corrected." Lena said. "Have you found something?"

"No. But I keep thinking back to what he said about me getting in the way. But all I was doing was watching. So it must be a location thing. But there is nothing special about the location."

"Are you sure?" Lena asked.

"I was. But maybe I missed something. Seeing I don't have a car right now can you give me a ride to the DEO?"

"You know Kara will be ticked if you go to the DEO."

"Right now she isn't even on Earth." Alex said. "It will be fine."

As J'onn docked his ship with Frax's he and Kara got out and started walking down the corridor.

"Should we have called first?" Kara asked. "Or at least have rung the bell?"

"I'm sure it will be fine." J'onn said as they saw Frax approach.

"Kara, J'onn. Welcome. I was starting to think I wouldn't hear from you." Frax said.

"I'm sorry, things have been busy here." Kara said.

"You have nothing to apologise for. I came here with no expectations. Besides, I am happy to wait for as long as it takes for you and Alex to feel comfortable round me."

"I'm glad as Alex would like to see you. In particular she would like you to help her control her powers." Kara said.

"Of course."

"And I'd like you to tell her more about her father. Good and bad. She will know if you are hiding things."

"Okay."

"And for now the visits will be supervised."

"I understand."

"Well, come down to the park where Alex first saw you tomorrow, we'll take it from there."

"Of course. And thank you." He said as Kara walked back to J'onn's ship.

"I'll see you tomorrow." J'onn said to Frax. "But you should know that while Kara is very trusting. I'm not. If you hurt either of them you will regret it."

"Should you be here?" Supergirl asked her sister when she saw her at the DEO.

"I'm fine. And I will be much more fine when we have caught these guys."

"So how do you want to play it? Because I was thinking that maybe CatCo should be investigating that new gang."

"I have proven it is too dangerous." Alex said.

"You have proven it is too dangerous to do alone. Fortunately I'm more clever than you and won't be as stupid as you."

"Wow, that's some pep talk." Alex said dryly.

"You brought it on yourself by going all lone wolf." Kara countered. "So where are your files?"

"What files?"

"The ones containing all your findings."

"Here." Alex said opening her desk and pulling out a notebook.

"Old school." Kara said as she read the contents of the book in a few seconds. "There's not much here." She added looking up only to see Alex holding a thumb drive.

"Photos are on this."

"I'll start looking." Kara said before asking. "So how are you doing?"

"Okay I think."

"Good. Well I am going to plug this in somewhere and see what you have. I will be back to pick you up at five. No arguments."

"Hey Diz." Kara greeted, surprised to see him at the door that evening.

"Hi."

"You know Kara has debate club tonight?"

"Yeah, actually I wanted to talk to you."

"Sure come in." Kara said. "Everything okay?"

"Sure." He said walking into the lounge where the adult Alex was sitting.

"Hi Diz." Alex said confused to see him. "Kara's not back yet."

"I know." He said.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Kara asked.

"Has something happened to Kara?" Alex asked.

"No." He said feeling like he was being interrogated.

"So what's wrong?" Kara asked.

"You were investigating people I knew. I thought I might be able to help."

"I appreciate the offer, but it's too dangerous." Alex said.

"They already know me, so what difference does it make?"

"He has a point." Kara said.

"Okay. Like before you can look and identify, but you don't do anything else." Alex warned.

"Okay." Diz agreed.

"I mean it." Alex said passing him a tablet with photos on.

"Okay." He repeated as he looked through the photos.

"I know him. He was around when I first joined, but he didn't stay for long." He said handing the tablet back to Alex.

"Why did he leave?"

"He thought he was too good. So he moved patches and started a drugs trade. It was really smart."

"How do you mean?"

"A truck carrying high end shoes gets diverted to a warehouse. The shoes get swapped for cheap knock offs that contain drugs. Then the truck goes on to deliver them to certain stores and the high end shoes get sold on the street. No one reports the shoes stolen so it is safe."

"Why not just sell the drugs on the streets?"

"It's catering to a different market. The shoes go to fancy shops and rich guys buy. Plus it doubles profits. On the streets the drugs would sell for $250. But the shoes containing the drugs sell for $500. Then the actual shoes sell for $100." Diz explained. Seeing Alex looking at him he added. "I never sold drugs and I never used."

"What else can you tell us about this guy?" Kara asked.

"He used to hang with a guy who lived on my street. I can give you his details."

"That'd be great." Alex said.

"There was another guy who used to be there by his side. I don't know his name, but he was different."

"Different how?"

"Creepy. It was like enjoyed inflicting pain. Or rather getting other to inflict pain. I don't remember him doing anything directly, but he persuaded some guys to stab people, and he'd just stand and laugh. But he disappeared a long time ago, way before Kai."

"Persuaded how?"

"Money. He was rich. He wasn't one of us and I don't know where he came from but he was always hanging round Caesar."

"Who?"

"That guy." Diz said pointing back at the picture.

"Caesar as in Emperor?"

"No, like in Pizza. His first crime was to steal pizza and cash from a delivery driver when he was nine."

"Nine?" Kara asked.

"Yeah, Caesar wasn't a guy you wanted to cross." He said.

"How many other metas were in the Los Zetas?" Kara asked.

"Don't know. I mean we didn't exactly share."

"How about hangouts that were used by Los Zeta but not Kai?" Alex asked. The question causing Diz to stop talking.

"I know that Los Zeta were like family to you." Kara said. "But from what you said Caesar wasn't. And it is him we are trying to find."

"But you will have to arrest everyone." Diz said not wanting to betray anyone.

"I won't. I'm just a reporter." Kara said. "I just want to talk to them and figure out what's going on."

"They won't talk. Not to you anyway." Diz pointed out.

"Would they to you?" Kara asked.

"I don't know. Probably not. Not any more."

"Is there anyone they would talk to?"

"Sure, but those people wouldn't talk to you either."

"Well we have a shapeshifter." Kara pointed out.

"They'd know." Diz said. "But I'll tell you the hideouts."
