"Alex, we have a problem." Vasquez said walking into the Director's office the next day.

"What's wrong?"

"A vegan restaurant was attacked last night. When one of the staff went to open up this morning they found all of last night's staff and a few patrons dead. All had been shot."

"How does that effect us?"

"There was a dog there. They accessed the chip and it's Chewie."

"Chewie?"

"He's alive, but he has a broken leg."

"What was he doing in a vegan restaurant?" Alex asked confused taking out her phone to call her sister.

"There's more. Kara's bag was at the scene. Neither Kara or Alex were among the dead, but it looks like Kara at least was there." Vasquez said. "I have sent a team down and they will bring back the security footage."

"We need a timeline and we need it now." Alex said standing. "Call me when you have something."

"Where are you going?" Vasquez asked.

"To find them." Alex said leaving just as her phone rang. Seeing it was her son she quickly answered. But before she could speak MJ said.

"Mom, something's wrong. Alex is missing, she didn't turn up-"

"I know. I'm on it." Alex said. "Be very careful to day and come straight home after school." She added before hurrying off to find J'onn.

"Alex?" Kara asked sitting bolt upright. Looking round she saw her daughter lying on the ground. Rushing over to her she feared the worst and for a moment found herself reliving the fake memories Duggin had planted in her head. But as soon as she saw the teen's back move with her breathing, she relaxed slightly and carefully pulled the teen into her arms.

"Mom?" Alex asked forcing her eyes open.

"I'm right her." Kara said hugging her. "Are you hurt?"

"No." The teen said. "Where are we?"

"I don't know." Kara said looking round.

"They took my necklace." The teenager said. "And my phone."

"We'll be okay." Kara said.

"Chewie isn't here." The teen said.

"I'm sure he'll be okay." Kara said as a screen on the wall flashed to life and Kara saw Tycho's face.

"Welcome." Tycho said.

"Who are you?" Kara asked holding her daughter tighter.

"You don't need to pretend we haven't met. I know exactly who you are, Supergirl." He smiled. "And today I have your daughter as well."

"Leave her alone." Kara said.

"Half Kryptonians don't hold the same interest, but I am sure I can be accommodating. Or you can cooperate and I won't touch her. At least until you are dead. But it is up to you."

"Leave her alone." Kara growled.

"So you'll cooperate?" Tycho asked.

"Yes." Kara said as her daughter said.

"No."

"I thought you'd say that." He smiled. "But then again, Duggin was interesting. Especially his powers. Memory projection is a very intriguing power and combine that with your daughter's super strength. It is an interesting proposition." He said as the door opened and several men approached the pair. Kara immediately tried to shield her daughter only to be shot with several Kryptonite darts. As Kara fell to the ground, the teenage Alex tried to use her telekinesis powers on the men. But again the Kryptonite caused her to lose focus and gave the men a chance to place two collars round her neck. One weakening her and causing her to feel sick and the second one it took a while to figure out. But as the men grabbed Kara and started to drag her off she tried to use her mental powers once more and found she couldn't.

"I need you to find Alex." The older Alex said as she marched through Frax's ship with J'onn.

"What's happened?" Frax asked.

"She and Kara are missing. I think it might have something to do with Duggin."

"Duggin is dead." Frax said confused.

"But he may have told people who Kara really is. Just please find them."

"Alex is only half Dakran." Frax reminded her.

"But you found her before?"

"No. I locked onto her attacker. Currently our sensors are unlikely to find her. We can modify them, but it will take time and it will work better if you can give me a sample of Kryptonian DNA. Or at least the structure."

"I'll get you what you need." Alex said.

"Thank you. And Alex. This may make things easier." He said passing her a box. "It is a communicator. I'll call you when I have something."

As Kara started to come round she was immediately aware of her nausea and her inability to move.

"Alex?" She called trying and failing to look round.

"She isn't here." A voice said. "Just as well, she shouldn't see this." He added as he injected something into Kara's arm.

"What-"

"Relax, there is nothing you can do. This is just to make sure you don't cause problems while we move you."

"Where's Alex?" Kara asked feeling weaker by the second.

"Back in the cell. You'll see her soon. But you probably don't want to get to close." He said.

"Why are you doing this?" Kara asked.

"Why not?" He smiled as he injected something else into Kara, this time the cocktail made her scream in pain as she felt like her veins were burning.

"Don't worry. This is just the beginning." He said as she fell unconscious.

As the teenage Kara and MJ entered the house they found themselves being pulled in for a hug my Eliza.

"Grandma!" The teenage Kara greeted before fearing the worst and pulling away asking. "What's happened to Alex?"

"We don't know. Both Alex and your aunt are missing. Your mother is looking." Eliza said sadly. "For now all we can do is wait." She then looked at the teens and asked. "Are you two okay?"

"We're fine." MJ said.

"Good." Eliza smiled. "Let's go next door." She said leading them into the lounge. When they entered they saw Chewie lying in a basket with a leg in plaster.

"What happened?" MJ asked dropping down by Chewie.

"We don't know. We think he was with them when they were taken." Eliza said. "He has a broken leg and isn't himself right now. So be gentle with him." She then looked at the two teens and said. "Until we find them I need you two stay here."

"Mom?" Alex asked as Kara started to open her eyes.

"You need to stay away from me." Kara said rolling away from her daughter before explaining. "I have Kryptonite in me."

"You're hurt." Alex said trying to move closer.

"I'm okay." Kara said maintaining the distance. "Did they hurt you?"

"No." The teen said as Kara noticed the collars.

"What are they?"

"They stop me using my powers." The teen explained.

"Are you sure you are not hurt?" Kara said causing her daughter to nod.

"You have to get out of here." Kara said in an alien language, guessing they were being monitored

"I'm not leaving you." Alex replied also in the alien language.

"You have to. You need to find Alex and get help." Kara said.

"How?"

"They are moving us to a new location. When they do I will distract them. You run."

"You don't have powers."

"Doesn't mean I am powerless." Kara said.

"Anything?" Alex asked entering the DEO control room.

"No. Well not exactly." Vasquez said. "Chewie is with your mom, but we did find traces of Kryptonite on him."

"So it is Tycho?" Alex guessed.

"Maybe. Look I know you are worried about Kara and Alex, but there is something you need to think about."

"What?"

"The timing. We are figuring out how and where drugs are being distributed. We are the closest we have been and now Kara and Alex gets taken?"

"Even if they are a distraction I'm prioritising their rescue." Alex said.

"I know." Vasquez said. "And all the DEO are looking. But maybe the FBI could handle the other case."

"Talk to Bell." Alex said. "And the latest recruits are due to join up with us next week right?"

"Yes, they are in their final week of training."

"Have them join Bell with the main investigation. The experience might do them good."

"Okay." Vasquez said as a small device in Alex's hand beeped.

"Problem?" Vasquez asked.

"Hopefully progress." Alex said looking at the device.

"What is it?" She asked into it.

"I know where she is." Frax said.

As they were led to a large room, with a portal in the middle, Kara saw a vent to one side. Quickly she explained to Alex in a different language what her plan was. Not giving the teen time to answer or argue she launched herself at the guards.

Catching them off guard one of them dropped the small box he was carrying causing it to crack open and silver Kryptonite to fall out. The effect on Kara was instantaneous and she suddenly found herself facing Lobo who was threatening to kill Alex. Immediately she launched herself at the guards like a crazed banshee, providing the opportunity for Alex to escape.

Torn between helping her mother and finding help, after a split second Alex ran to the vent and crawled deep into the structure as she heard bodies crash into the wall and angry shouts. Moments later she heard an alarm sound and every instinct told her to go back. But instead she kept going, hoping to find help.

As she slid through the shafts, banging and scraping her knees in the process she realised she had no idea where she was going. But having no other option she kept going further into the cold darkness convinced she could hear someone following her. But aware she too had been exposed to Silver Kryptonite she wasn't sure if her pursuers were real or not. Deciding it made little difference she kept crawling.

After what felt like an eternity she heard creaking. Convinced it was an hallucination she ignored it only to find the vent collapse and she landed hard on the ground in an empty lab.

Shaking off the jarring effects of the fall she got to her feet and left the lab wondering where everyone was. She didn't have to wonder for long though as she turned into a corridor and found herself facing an armed guard. Seeing her the guard immediately fired and Alex watched the beam head straight for her. But when she felt no pain she guessed it was an hallucination and ran straight through the guard who disappeared.

As she continued to run through the empty corridors her fear grew, but still she searched for an exit. Finally entering an office with a window she saw the outside world. Rushing to the window she found it didn't open, so picked up a chair and smashed it against the glass until it shattered. She was just about to climb through when she heard her mother.

"Alex. Don't go."

"Mom?" She asked turning.

"Come here." Kara said.

"You told me to go." The teen said.

"It's safe now." Kara said before her face revealed pain and she looked down. Following her gaze Alex saw a blade sticking out of her mother's chest moment's before her mother's eyes turned lifeless and she dropped to the floor.

Praying what she saw wasn't real Alex ran to the window and climbed out, slicing her arm in the process.

As she escaped the building she found herself in sweltering heat and humid air. Having no idea where she was or how she could find help, or even what was real, Alex felt more alone than she ever had. But knowing she had no choice, despite her lack of powers, Alex ran into the unknown, hoping to find help.
