"You okay?" Alex asked when her sister entered her office.

"Just tired. Alex didn't get much sleep last night."

"Nightmares?" Her sister asked.

"Yes."

"Is she still wearing the psychic dampeners at night?" J'onn asked.

"Yes, which helps her relax a little." Kara said before noticing J'onn's expression. "What?"

"It's probably nothing."

"Which is not the same as nothing." Kara countered. "What is it?"

"It's possible that she had become too reliant on them and is actually repressing everything, that leads to the nightmares. Why don't I spend some time with her tomorrow?"

"You have time?"

"Of course." J'onn smiled.

"Ma'am we have the autopsy results." Harris said. "And you are going to want to see them."

"Who has died?" Kara asked.

"Right, sorry, I've not had time to tell you." Alex said. "My team found several bodies near to where you stuck your arm in Kryptonite."

"And you are only telling me this now?"

"We've been busy." Alex reminded her. "And we weren't sure if it was connected." Alex said holding out her hand as Harris passed her the tablet. "Are you sure about this?" Alex asked Harris.

"Yes ma'am. They reran the samples several time."

"What is it?" Supergirl asked.

"The bodies had unidentified alien DNA on them." Alex said rereading the report.

"But Tycho didn't work with aliens did he?" Kara asked.

"Not that we know of. But then again his people freed Duggin, so maybe there is a connection."

"But the DNA found wasn't from a Dakran?" J'onn asked.

"No. It was from a complete unknown." Alex sighed.

"More proof the shield doesn't work?" J'onn asked.

"What shield?" Kara asked feeling like she had missed something else.

"The one that is meant to protect the planet." Alex said. "Too many aliens are getting through with out us knowing. But that is my problem not yours."

"I'm pretty sure your Principal is not happy with me being here." Diz said as Kara led him to seat in in the gymnasium.

"Probably." Kara said as she sat next to her her cousin. "But that is his problem, not yours."

"Won't this make trouble for you?"

"It's fine." Kara shrugged.

"Not sure your friends like me either." Diz said noticing the looks he was getting.

"They aren't my friends." Kara pointed out. "If it makes you feel uncomfortable you don't have to stay."

"I'm fine with it, just don't want to cause you guys more issues." Diz said as the players took the court.

"We do that by ourselves." The teenage Alex said from Kara's other side.

"Guess that is true, you guys have really bad luck." Diz commented as the whistle blew for the start of the match.

As the match progressed with the normal highs and lows, MJ was starting to find his grove and getting more of the ball. But just as the team were pulling away MJ started to make uncharacteristic mistakes, missing catches and shots, earning a rebuke from the coach who benched him for a couple of minutes.

When he was rotated back on, he found himself back in the game immediately and was about to catch the ball when he felt a shove in his back that sent him to the ground. Looking round he saw no one nearby but he did hear the coach yell.

"Get it together."

Shaking it off he got to his feet and jogged back into position, tripping as he did so, although he stayed on his feet.

For his next few plays his pass and shot accuracy started to drop as the coach's shouting increased.

As he chased after an opponent he felt another shove and tripped just as he got there falling into the opponent and ended up with an elbow in his nose.

As the whistle blew and players surrounded MJ, who was lying on the ground Diz asked.

"What's wrong with your brother?"

"Don't know." The teenage Kara said frowning.

"Over there." Alex said pointing at three members of the football team who were sitting laughing. "Why are they here?"

"Don't know." Kara said as her brother was led of the court a towel over his face to stem the bleeding. As he disappeared from the gym Kara said. "I'm going to check on MJ." She then looked at her cousin who was glaring at the football players and warned. "Don't do anything stupid."

As Kara walked down the corridor she suddenly felt herself being slammed into the lockers. Turning she saw no one there and shook off the pain in her arm before hurrying down the corridor. But she only made it a few steps when she was once again slammed into lockers.

"No one to protect you now." A familiar voice said. "And this time I have the advantage."

"What are you doing?" Kara asked looking at the football player.

"Time for payback." He said as Kara once again found herself being shoved into the lockers.

"For what?"

"What you did to my friends." He said stepping right up to Kara as she felt herself being pushed into the lockers once more. This time when the force stopped she immediately punched the football player who fell to the ground.

"You okay?" Supergirl asked rushing towards her.

"I think so."

"Nice punch." Supergirl commented as Diz and Alex ran towards them.

"You okay?" Diz asked as he reached his girlfriend.

"I think so."

"He's not the only one." Alex said to her mother. "There are two more back there. I'll show you."

"I'll be back in a minute. Go find your brother." Supergirl said before following the teenage Alex to a classroom where the other two boys were tied up.

"What happened?"

"They tried to attack us and Diz knocked them out." The teenage Alex explained.

"I'm going to take them back to the DEO." Supergirl said as they heard screaming. "Go wait with MJ and the others." She instructed her daughter.

"You okay?" Kara asked her brother who was holding an ice pack to his face.

"Your punch was worse." He said. "But something really weird was happening."

"We know. They went after us too." Diz said as the teenage Alex entered the nurse's office.

"Something is happening in the gym." The teen said.

"Define something." MJ said.

"There were loads of screams. I was told to wait with you." She said as they heard footsteps in the hallway. Moments later the door opened and two DEO Agents entered the office.

"Time to go." One of them said just as the fire alarm went off.

"We need to move." The other one said causing all four teens to hurry through the corridors with the agents.

"Are you four okay?" Eliza asked as the group entered the house.

"Yes. But what happened?" The teenage Kara asked.

"I don't know. What I do know is your mother wants to speak to you two." She said looking from MJ to Kara.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Diz said to his girlfriend.

"I'll walk you out." Kara said. Once the pair had gone Eliza looked at her youngest grandchild. "Why don't we go back to your apartment with Chewie?"

"Sure." The teenager said picking up her dog, who was still sporting a cast, but now happy to milk all the attention.

"I'll see you later." Eliza said to her grandson before leaving with Alex and Chewie.

As his sister returned to the room he asked. "Why does it feel like we are in trouble?"

Before she could answer the door opened again and their mother walked in and headed straight to MJ and asked.

"How's your nose?"

"Fine. Much better than my reputation." He said as his mother examined his face.

"Ow." He complained as she pressed down on his cheek.

"I think it will be okay." She said.

"What happened? Why did they have powers?" Her daughter asked.

"We are still figuring that out. But we think they took the drugs." Alex said. "For now the situation is contained."

"What does that mean?" MJ asked.

"Everyone displaying symptoms are in a medical facility."

"Symptoms."

"Those drugs have some very nasty side effects." She said before looking back at her son. "How's the pain?"

"Okay. I'm going to shower." He said walking off.

"His ego took a bigger hit than his nose. They were targeting him and made him look like an idiot." Kara said. Alex was about to respond when she noticed the way her daughter was holding her arm and asked. "What happened to you arm?"

"I was pushed into a locker, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"Alex asked.

"Yes. I can move it fine, it's just sore." The teen said as Alex rolled up her sleeve and started looking at it. After minutes of poking and prodding she said.

"It looks bruised, but if the pain gets worse let me know." Alex said before releasing the arm and asking.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"It's just a bruise. Don't stress." The teen said.

"I didn't just mean the arm." Alex pointed out. "Why didn't any of you tell me MJ had a game?"

"We thought you had more important things to do." Her daughter said.

"Nothing is more important than you and MJ." Alex said. "I get that there are plenty of things you will never tell me, but things like this, please tell me."

"Okay. Sorry." The teen said. "We just didn't want to stress you out, especially as you are meant to be taking it easy and letting your shoulder recover."

"It's not your job to worry about me." Alex said.

"Someone has to." The teen said.

"Your grandmother and aunt do that."

"I know. But it's not enough. After you'd been stabbed, when you were in the infirmary, we thought you weren't going to make it ... We were saying goodbye when aunt Kara crash landed with the cure ... We thought you were going to die and it was because I wasn't paying attention."

"What?" Alex asked confused.

"When you came home I knew something was wrong and I ignored it. As a result you nearly died."

"That night I was seen by an actual doctor, your grandmother, Lena and your aunt. No one saw how bad it was. There was no way for you to know." Alex said using her good arm to pull her daughter in for a hug.

-00-

"MJ?" Alex said knocking on his door.

"Nose still fine." He said as she entered.

"Good, but that's not what I wanted to talk about."

"This about not telling you about the game?"

"It was." Alex said. "But then something else important came up."

"What?"

"What happened when I was stabbed, that wasn't your sister's fault."

"I know."

"Well, your sister doesn't, so go easy on her."
