"If they want to find the strong and get rid of the weak, they are going to move against you first." Alex said.
"What do you mean?" Her sister asked.
"If they come here and fight you, that won't prove anything. They already know you are strong. They will want to slaughter humans without you there to protect them." Alex argued. "So I think their first move will be against you and your cousin. Once you are busy or no longer a threat to them, they will come after the humans."
"Okay, well we can use that can't we?"
"I don't know." Alex said. "We still don't know what we are up against."
"You might also be thinking about this too one dimensionally." J'onn said.
"How do you mean?"
"The reason why Worldkiller-1 was drawn to Kara wasn't just because of her powers, it was because she survived the destruction of Krypton. I don't think they will come down here and march through the streets slaughtering people. Not at first anyway. I think they will do something more global."
"So what do we do?" Kara asked.
"I don't know. We need to figure out their plans. Which means we need to find them."
"I'm meeting with Frax soon, I'll ask if he has made any progress. But first I have something I need to do. I'll see you later." Kara said.
"Okay." Alex said watching her sister leave only to find Harris waiting at her office door.
"Ma'am, do you have a minute?"
"Sure, what do you have?"
"I was thinking about the drugs and how they are hitting the streets."
"Go on."
"We are watching all the trucks that come through the tunnel and we are pretty sure they aren't delivering drugs to the stores we are watching. But many trucks are still taking a really long time to go through the tunnels so I started to look into those ones in more detail." He said before pulling up a map. "Marked on this map are the final destinations of those swapped trucks."
"That's a very linear distribution." Alex commented seeing the dots form very straight lines.
"Yes it is. And to start with you could assume they were aligned with the main streets. However, when you overlay a street map it is clear they are not delivering along the main streets. In fact they are no where near them. Then I looked at all the other trucks we were following and they are the blue dots." He said pressing a button causing the display to change.
"That looks a pretty random distribution." Alex said.
"Right. So I went back to the red dots and superimposed the underground canal plans I found and they match."
"So you think they use the trucks to bring drugs to the canals and then use the canals to distribute?"
"I don't know and it may be nothing, but it could be something."
"Assuming you are right and the canals run along those lines what buildings exist along the line that we could rent?"
"I have already identified a few."
"Good work." Alex said. "Team up with J'onn and see if we can get an idea of what is happening, if anything. But no drilling or any other activity that might allow them to figure out we are onto them."
"Yes Ma'am." He said leaving with J'onn.

"Hello Kara." Frax smiled as he approached her.
"Hi Frax." Kara replied before noticing his mother standing in the distance.
"You have a tail again." Kara said causing Frax to look at his backside in confusion. "I meant you are being followed." Kara clarified.
"Oh, yes. My mother would like to speak to you. But will not come any closer if you refuse."
"Just your mother?"
"Yes."
"Okay, sure. But before that I was wondering if you had any luck reconfiguring your sensors."
"Our best estimate is another Earth week. But we are doing everything we can."
"Thank you." Kara said.
"Of course. I will let you know the moment it is ready."
"Thanks." Kara replied.
"So will you meet her?"
"Your mother?"
"Yes."
"Okay."
"Good, it will save me from another lecture." Frax said nodding over to his mother.
"Thank you for meeting me again." Frax's mother said as she approached Kara.
"Of course." Kara said. "Your husband isn't here?"
"No. I wanted to speak to you mother to mother. Frax, please leave us."
"Bu-"
"Now Frax." She demanded.
"Yes mother." He said walking off.
"Your mother is a formidable woman." The woman said to Kara.
"Yes she is." Kara agreed.
"She gave us, especially me, lot's to think about." She said before going on. "I don't know how much Frax has explained about us, but we are an important family on Dakran. We have lots of money and as a result people do as we say. We are not used to defiance. It takes awhile to get used to. I should not have reacted like I did. This is your world and Alex is your daughter and your rules or lack of are your choice. But my reaction was more than that. I have very high standards and I did not meet them. I failed Salkor and as a result I failed Alex."
"How have you failed Alex?" Kara asked confused.
"Her childhood was one of hardship. It needn't have been. If we had known of her we would have help. Provided a home to both of you."
"Thank you." Kara said. "And I want you to know, I never hid anything from Alex, but I let her decide of she wanted to search for more answers than I could provide." Kara said. "When I knew Fel- I mean Salkor he never talked of his home world or his family. If he had I would have told Alex."
"If he had then maybe Alex would have chosen to stay away." The woman said sadly. "After all he did run away."
"There could have been more to it." Kara said.
"If there was, we haven't found the answers." She said. "I am proud, but not too proud to admit my mistakes and with Salkor I made many. I do not want to repeat that with Alex. But I understand it is on Alex's terms and yours." She said.
"Good." Kara said.
"I also wanted to talk about Haldor."
"What about him?" Kara asked getting worried.
"He is being watched closely. He knows that if he does anything to Alex, or her family, he will lose everything. He will not cause you any more problems. He values his inheritance too much. That said we will be keeping a tighter eye on him."
"Thank you." Kara said.
"We must return to Dakran. But we would like to see Alex again before we go."
"Alex is free to choose her own path and as long as she has thought it through I will support her, whatever she chooses. But I will encourage her to see you before you go."
"Thank you."
"Will Frax be returning with you?" Kara asked.
"Would you object of he stayed?"
"Of course not. Alex has grown fond of him."
"As he has of her." The woman smiled. "If you have no objections Frax will stay."

"Hi guys." Kara said walking into the den with a freely moving Chewie, where MJ and the teenage Alex were playing computer games.
"Hi." Alex said not looking away from the game.
"Your grandparents are returning to Dakran." Kara said.
"Good." Her daughter responded, without looking away from the game she was playing with MJ.
"We are going to say goodbye." Kara went on.
"Do I have to?"
"Yes." Kara replied.
"Wait, is Frax going to?" Alex asked pausing the game and looking at her mother.
"No. He is going to stay around for a while." Kara said as the teen suddenly noticed Chewie was walking round.
"Where's his cast?" She asked.
"It came off today. He still needs to take it easy, but he can go on walks again. But no long runs yet. He needs to build up some strength. Although I think he has gotten a little to used to being pampered." Kara said as Chewie sat by the couch begging to be lifted up.
"He deserves it." Alex said lifting him up.
"Remember he needs exercise." Kara said. "And we go say goodbye to your grandparents in an hour."
-00-
"Thank you for meeting us." Alex's grandmother said.
"Of course." Kara smiled.
The woman then looked at Alex and said. "Your ways may be alien from ours, but your stubbornness and your loyalty would have made your father proud. I hope next time we meet things will go smoother. But for now I want you to know that you and your mother-" She started only for Frax to cough causing her to correct. "Your whole family will always be welcome on Dakran." She then stepped away and the grandfather took over.
"On Dakran we have a tradition that when a firstborn arrived they receive the family grohyl." He said. Seeing the confused look on Alex's face he said. "I do not believe there is an earth equivalent. But it is like a crest. They keep it until their first born and then pass it on. Its importance can not be overstated. The value of the grohyl is immeasurable. Salkor as out first born had this. But when he ran off he left it on Dakran." He said, his eyes revealing the pain of the incident. "But now, it is yours." He said holding out a box to Alex.
"Shouldn't Frax have it?" Alex asked. "Or Haldor?"
"No it is yours." He said. "You could return it as your father did." He went on, his eyes once again showing his pain. "But we want you to have it."
In response Alex looked at her mother who nodded.
"Thank you." She said taking the box.
"I hope, if you will allow, Frax can teach you the full importance of it."
"I'd like that." The teen said.
"Good. Well goodbye." He said nodding to Kara and walking off with his wife.
-00-
"What do you want to do now?" Kara asked her daughter once they go home.
"Don't know." The teen said looking at the box she had been given.
"Well we can could pick up Chewie and then talk about that or we could go do some training?"
"Really?" The teen asked excitedly.
"If you want." Kara said.
"Yes!" The teen said happily.
"Okay then, let's go to the desert." Kara said before flying them to the middle of nowhere.
"You okay?" Kara asked when they landed.
"Yes."
"Okay, then why don't we go back to finding your anger again?" Kara suggested before pointing to a rock in the distance.
After a few failed attempts Kara said. "The first time I did this, well obviously not this, but the whole releasing anger thing, I started to say what was bothering me out loud. Why don't you try that?"
"What if I say something I don't want to say?"
"Then you are clearly repressing things and need to say it." Kara argued.
"I mean what if I say something that I don't really mean? Something that hurts you?"
"I know more than most people what it is like to release dark thoughts. And I also know that no matter how much truth there is in there, they come out worse than they should. Whatever you say here is fine. But if you want I can go stand over there."
"You have super hearing." The teen pointed out.
"You don't need to protect me." Kara said before asking. "Despite everything that has happened do you still love me?"
"Of course I do."
"Well that's all that matters." Kara said.
"Okay." The teen agreed.
"Good. Okay, this time as you try to blow up the rock with your anger say what it is that is bothering you and don't stop, just keep going."
"Okay." The teen replied, still not sure that it was a good idea. But following her mother's instructions she tried to channel her anger while saying what was bothering her.
"I'm mad I can't control my powers. I'm mad you are always getting hurt. I'm mad Lobo wants to hurt you. I'm mad Frax's parents give you a hard time. I'm mad that you are always willing to put others first. I'm mad that you never put yourself first. I'm mad that I don't want you to sacrifice yourself and that will make you disappointed in me."
Suddenly all the nearby rocks exploded in a mass outpouring of energy.
