"Morning." Kara greeted as she entered the kitchen at Alex's house where Lena was sitting looking ill.
"Not so loud." Lena said.
"Welcome to my world, everything is loud." Kara said unsympathetically. "You only had one bottle of wine, why are you so hungover?"
"I only had one bottle while you were here." Lena corrected. "After you left I had another."
"Why?"
"I felt like I needed something as I watched the battle unfold."
"What battle?"
"Alex Vs MJ. Plus I was worried that if I left anything undrunk Alex may fall off the wagon."
"How bad was it?" Kara asked frowning.
"Well, by Luthor standards, it barely snuck onto the list of bad arguments. But remembering that they aren't Luthors I was a little surprise with how antagonistic MJ was being. With every passing word I was reminded why I didn't want children."
"Where is she?"
"Lounge." Lena said.
"And MJ?"
"He left an hour ago."
"MJ?"
"I assume he was trying to avoid Alex." Lena said as the doorbell rang. "That will be my car. I need to go." She said walking to the door. Shaking her head Kara went to the lounge where Alex was asleep on the couch.
Leaving some food and a note on the coffee table Kara left for the DEO.

"Hello Professor" Kara smiled as she approached him after a lecture.
"Hello." He said surprised to see her.
"How are you?"
"I am fine. But something tells me this is not a social ring."
"Social call." Kara corrected. "And no. I need your help."
"Mine? Okay, well I'm all hairs."
"Ears." Kara corrected before asking. "Do you know Grattlok?"
"Grattlok? That takes me back." He said. "To make a long story shirt I know it, but it is extremely complex. And you need the original text or 3D scans."
"We have those." Kara said. "By my Grattlok is basic and rusty. We were hoping you could teach some of us."
"I teach stars not tongue." The Professor said.
"I know, but I have a fast learner and we really need the help."
"Okay." He agreed.
"Really?"
"Of course young lady."

"You're up!" Kara said when she returned to her sister's house that evening.
"I've been up for hours." Alex said. "Thanks for leaving the food in here."
"No problem."
"How's Alex?"
"Okay I guess. She's out with Frax. But we had a productive session in the desert last night."
"That's good." Alex said. "Yet you look worried."
"Alex talked, briefly about what happened on the pier. And she said one of the attackers said it was retribution for her causing their friends problems." Kara said. "When she told me I thought it was a message for me, but what if it was for her?"
"Has she been causing anyone problems?" Alex asked.
"I don't think so. But could it be retribution for Holtz?"
"He wasn't involved. We already check." Alex said. "But I can keep digging."
"Thanks." Kara said before changing subjects and saying. "So I hear things were a little explosive with MJ last night."
"That would be an understatement."
"Where is he now?"
"Basketball practice."
"So just us for dinner." Kara said.
"You don't have to stay, I'm not going to be good company tonight."
"Neither am I so we can be bad company together." Kara said.
"Thank you." Alex said. "I really don't want to be alone right now."
"What are sisters for?" Kara smiled. "Is it just MJ?"
"No, I spoke to Pete earlier." Alex said. "He agreed to help."
"That's great, so did Professor Luzano. But why has that left you not wanting to be alone?"
"He wanted to talk about Kel. A lot." Alex said.
"It may not feel like it now, but maybe that is what you need." Kara suggested.

As Alex practiced with Frax in the desert she accidentally sent Frax's practice ball flying far away from the pair.
"Sorry."
"It's okay." Frax smiled.
"I'll get it." The teen said.
"No, you work on changing the size of this one." He set tossing a smaller ball into the air. "I'll retrieve the other one."
"Okay." The teenager said watching guilty as her uncle disappeared before she started to practice with the new ball. A practice that was disturbed by an unwanted sound.
"Hey!" Lobo said as he walked towards the teenage Alex.
"What do you want?" The teen asked turning.
"Is that anyway to treat your future dad?"
"Didn't you murder your parents?" The teenager asked.
"Along with everyone else." He smiled.
"So you want me to do that to you?"
"You couldn't. But I'd like to see you try." He grinned before offering her his flask which she refused.
"You need to have more fun." Lobo said taking a swig from the flask. "Where's your mom?"
"Don't know."
"I think you do." He said stepping up to her.
"Alex are you-" Frax said approaching. But when he saw Lobo he stopped and said. "You."
"The boring brother." Lobo said. "I prefer the other one. More potential."
"Get away from her." Frax said.
"Or what?" Lobo asked.
"I'll … I'll … you'll be … sorry." Frax said.
"Time to get croaked loser." Lobo said stepping towards Frax.
"I don't want to get violent. I think you should leave." Frax said, although he was clearly trembling.
"Your problem is you're boring. But the cure to that is right here." Lobo said drawing a gun.
"Leave him alone." The teenage Alex said walking over to her uncle.
"Can't do that. We have business." He said taking another step to Frax.
"Stop." Alex cried as she put a forcefield round her uncle.
"Today that's annoying." Lobo said striking the teen to the ground. As she passed out, the forcefield released and Lobo grabbed hold of Frax and dragged him to his bike before they flew off.
Moments later Supergirl landed next to her daughter and immediately cried out her name when she saw her lying on the ground.
"Alex?" She repeated crouching next to her.
"Mom?" The teen asked groggily as she started to stir.
"I'm right here." Kara said. "Are you okay?"
"Sure. No, you have to help him." The teenager said suddenly looking round.
"Who?"
"Frax. Lobo was after Frax."
"What? Why?" Kara asked confused as the teen kept looking for her uncle.
"I don't know. He knocked me out. You need to find him."
"I will. But not until I know you are okay." Kara said scooping her daughter up in her arms and flying her to Lena's lab.

"Have you found Frax?" Alex asked when Ruby entered the house.
"Frax?" Ruby asked confused.
"Lobo took him. Isn't that why you are here?"
"No." Ruby said.
"Then why are you here?"
"Short straw."
"What?" Alex asked lost.
"MJ's protection detail just reported in." Ruby said.
"Is he okay?"
"Yes. But you aren't going to like what I'm about to say."
"What?"
"He attempted to give his protection detail the slip and thought he managed it. After he thought he had got away from them he went to a party." Ruby started to explain, seeing Alex's anger rise she warned. "I haven't got to the bad part yet."
"What happened?" Alex asked.
"The party was raided by the police. He, and everyone else there, were drinking and smoking."
"What?" Alex asked eyes wide.
"The police allowed Greene and Dottin to take possession of him. They are bringing him back now."
"I will kill him." Alex said.
"That's why I have been sent. Vasquez said you are more useful in the office than in a jail cell." Ruby said. "But I can see that comment doesn't help."
"No it doesn't. I have it from here."
"You sure?" Ruby asked.
"I'm sure." Alex said still seething.
"Because I can stay an-"
"Ruby, thank you for telling me, but I have this."
"Right. Okay, I'll see you later." She said moving to the front door only to see MJ on the other side. "Good luck." She said walking past him.
"You were drinking and smoking. What were you thinking?" Alex asked the second MJ walked into the room.
"Like you'd care." He said, his voice slurred.
"Now isn't the time for your attitude." Alex said.
"It's never time for I want."
"Just go to bed. We will deal with this tomorrow when you are sober."
"Deal with what?" MJ asked. "Your failure as a parent?"
"Wha-"
"You know nothing about me. You aren't even my real mom. There is nothing that connects us. I wish it had been you that died in the accident." He said storming off to his room. Leaving Alex to feel like she had been slapped.
