Chapter 686 Rifana's ambition

At the Soul Society Komomaru was walking foward and he saw Rifana running to his side.
"Captain what will we be doing today?"She asked with a smile on her face.
"The others wanted to see your skills to see what you can do later on."Komamura said.
"Okay."She smiles.
Rifana looks at Komamura and kept smiling, since he's the one that she respects the most.
Flashback
Rifana died a long time ago by that slave trader and her soul instead of going to the afterlife if Raphtalia's world went to the Soul Society.
She was walking down alone wearing a white kimono with a frown in her face as some kids mocked her ears.
"Hey it's the animal."
She was sad, it was bad enough that monster made her die but now... She's all alone.
She was crying feeling their insults and one goes to pick on her but then a big shadow goes over him.
"What's the meaning of this."
The kids got scared and ran away.
Rifana looks up and saw Komamura and was amazed since the clothes he's wearing is that of a Captain as she heard of them.
They're the most powerful and respected members of all of Soul Society and he looks like a Beastmen.
"Your alright little one?"He asked.
"Yes."She nodded.
"That's good, I don't like them treating others for how they look like, stay safe."He walks away.
She stares at him and smiles, she then runs foward since she found her purpose.
She joined the academy to become a Shinigami, since if Komamura was able to become a high respected member than she can do it too.
She managed to pass and was even put in his Squad as she smiles all the time.
Flashback ends
They arrived at a sparring ground with the others watching as Ikkaku and Yumichika were in the middle.
"Two opponents, isn't that much for Rifana."Komamura said.
"What you scared she would get hurt."Ikkaku smirks.
"It's okay I can do it."Rifana goes foward.
Whitebeard and the other new members we're wearing shihakusho with some changes like he wears the top as like his old coat.
"Well let's see what the brat can do."He said.
Ikkaku and Yumichika went foward but she uses flash step to go foward surprising the two as she appears behind then and kicks the two guys out of the arena.
Some fell seeing that and Toshiro facepalms."That was the shortest fight ever."
"Hmmm, she improved her flash step."Komamura said.
"She's a quick learner."Kyoraku said.
"Yes."Ukitake was amazed.
Renji goes next and he has his zanpakuto in Shikai."Well my turn since those idiots didn't do anything."
"Hey!"They got offended.
Renji swings his zanpakuto making the blade extend as it goes towards her.
Rifana dodges it and was having a hard time.
"What too much for you, I bet you can't even use your zanpakuto."Renji said.
She jumps away and said:"Actually, I do know the name."
"Huh?"He got surprised.
"Now I'm curious what she can do."Isane said.
Rifana takes out her zanpakuto."Go foward, Yūrei!"Her zanpakuto changed.
Renji was stunned."Your kidding me."
They saw her blade was now changed to be like a extending ghost sword with physical metal blades attached to the sides.
"Oh so it's like a ghost version of Renji's sword."Rangiku said.
"Even though we are all basically ghosts seeing something like that is surprising."Toshiro said.
She swings her sword in the same way as Renji as he tries to block it but his went towards the empty spot without any blades making it phase through shocking him.
He then got slashed in the chest making him grunt.
"She got me!"Renji goes to attack her as she swings her sword too.
He could only hit the blades sticking out of the sides but the moment he attacked the real one it just goes through hitting him.
"That's enough."Yamamoto said stopping them."It seems young Rifana has the potential, very good."
"Thank you."She smiles at him.
"I wonder what she would be able to do if she got Bankai."Toshiro got curious.
Rifana goes up to him."Hey your Captain Hitsugaya."
"Yes."He said.
"Wow, it's amazing you can be a captain when you look like my age."She smiles.
His eyes twitches as Rangiku chuckles while covering her mouth.
"I hope I can get along with you."She grabs his hands surprising the guy again.
"How cute."Rangiku said with some chuckling at the sight.
Toshiro was annoyed at Rangiku and embarrassed with Rifana smiling and holding his hand.
Komamura chuckles and smiles at Rifana, she can be a great Shinigami in the future as her zanpakuto is a good one to give her a chance.
Note: Here's a chapter about Rifana in the Soul Society as saw her backstory how she's been doing before and she looks up to Komamura as a role model, plus her zanpakuto is like Renji's sword only better, yeah we didn't see her Bankai yet but just comparing the shikais hers is better since it's like hitting a ghost, I know Shinigami are spirits too but her sword was meant to be like if a human hits a ghost so because of that is hard to block as only the physical blades are able to be blocked and it can twist like Zabimaru.
