"Your son won't be developing a Quirk."
Those words caused my parents faces to sour and contort in anger and offense at such words, as though they were offended at the very idea of their child lacking a Quirk.
I was five years old at the time, my Quirk hadn't showed up on time but that was okay, I was put into this world for a reason, what that reason was exactly was uncertain, however why else would I be sent here if not to make a difference in this world, to save as many lives as possible. To be a hero.
Oh how painfully naive I was.
"What do you mean he won't be getting a Quirk?" My father, Kogami Saito, asked stuck between anger and offense, asked with a dangerous tone. With the white haired man looking quite unhinged.
The doctor failed to hide a wince as he hastily responded." It's as I've said, his test results came back and I'm sorry to tell you that your son is, unfortunately, a part of the minority in the population known as the Quirkless." The doctor was afraid of Kogami given that the man could ruin his life with a phone call.
My father was a politician who, to put it bluntly, was a fascist against both the Quirkless and heteromorphic population. He even met my mother, a supporter of his, at one of his political rallies.
He is a believer that the Quirked are superior to other races, whilst he doesn't like heteromorphs, he hates the Quirkless with a passion, he believes them to be a waste of oxygen and food, that this world would be more proficient without deadweight, who can't offer society anything special.
Whilst the Quirkless do make up about twenty percent of the human population most of that twenty percent are old people, with each generation goes by the Quirkless become less and less in numbers, eventually there will be only one of us alive, then none. Less than Five percent of the people born today are unlucky enough not to inherit a Quirk and that number is dropping every year.
A few years before I was born a campaign was put together to abolish several laws that blatantly discriminate against the Quirkless, and there were a scary number. When Quirks first came about the world was in chaos and little was known about these unknown abilities, mutants were often massacred, being more physically obvious than other kinds of Quirks, however those with less obvious Quirks weren't exempt either. It's a little ironic that the situation is reversed now.
It was decided that should a Quirkless and a Quirked person be married and a child resulted from the relationship should that child have a Quirk then custody would go automatically to the Quirked individual, back when this law was put into place the Quirked population was only around thirty percent, and logically it made sense, these were unknown abilities and who better to help with controlling such powers than someone who shares them?
However such laws are unacceptable in modern day and blatantly discriminate against the Quirkless population, so in realisation to this a motion was put forward to abolish any laws that favour the Quirked.
However Kogami had to step in and put a stop to these abolishments. It should be noted that his Quirk is called 'Silver Tongue', with his Quirk he can put a thought in someone's head, he can directly alter their opinions and ideologies and whilst it cannot be proven I know that he used his Quirk to have his way politically.
But he didn't just stop at cancelling the abolishment, no, he actually convinced several high ranking members of Japan's political board to instate several new laws that favour the Quirked. Now anyone Quirkless needs to have so labeled on their drivers licence and several places don't allow the Quirkless to hang around in anymore. What is this Nazi Germany?!
And so you can only imagine what would happen when such an extremely Quirkist man find out when his own son is Quirkless.
The drive in the car afterwards was painfully silent with Kogami and his wife looking back at me several times in disgust, like I was a criminal, like I wasn't their own flesh and blood. Like I wasn't even human.
Meanwhile I was having an identity crisis at the idea of me being Quirkless, again, when this is meant to be my second life. How is this fair? What is the point of me being here if I'm powerless to change anything?
Does my life even have meaning?
Those were just a few of the Questions going through my head when any future I had of becoming a symbol of change were shattered and grounded into dust.
The car suddenly stopped in an unfamiliar environment in a rather sorry neighbourhood.
"Get out." The words were blunt, callous and cruel. It actually shocked and disgusted me that any father could talk to their child in such a manner.
Blood red eyes looked at me with actually, honest to god, hatred. How could any father hate their own child?
"I said get out of this car. I don't need to throw you out do I?" The words had a threatening edge to them that I didn't think any adult, let alone their own son, could talk to a child with.
Knowing that he wasn't joking I unhooked my seat belt and opened the car door before hopping out.
The concrete below my feet was cracked and run out and in front of me stood a building that was a sight for sore eyes. However my blood ran cold when I read the sign in my face.
'Bridgeton orphanage'
Looking back at the car after a moment of horrified realisation I saw that it was already in the wind, speeding down the road.
They left me here. They threw me away like a piece of-
Getting dressed into my signature suit the bitter memory of how my parents threw me out like yesterday's trash stubbornly chose to linger in my mind, causing a scowl to appear on my face.
I was five years old. Its been over twelve years since that day, why do I have to remember it with such clarity? Ah yes, the reason that I'm fighting.
True justice. That is the reason I'm going through the trouble of organising and cultivating an army to overthrow this twisted society by force, to serve true justice to the bastards at the front of it all.
Every single member of my organisation understands what it's like to be rejected by this hero society, be it the heteromorphs who were scarred and isolated for looking inhuman, the former Quirkless who were on the verge of suicide and are seeking revenge for what happened to them, in the end we fight together, we are like ants, individually we will fail however together we will succeed.
However I am no self-righteous fool that will justify everything that he does, I'm starting a war, and an ugly part of war is that innocents suffer, I cannot justify that, however the ends will justify the means and I will try to minimise civilian casualties. I'm no monster, I'm just a man who wants to change something.
I cannot say that everything I do is to serve justice, it is also for vengeance, to get payback for throwing me out and deeming me worthless. However what actually separates justice and revenge? What makes the heroes fighters of justice and us the ones in the wrong?
I broke the legs and stole the Quirks of my bullies because they deserved it, they had it coming, because they had the nerve to act like they have a right to violate me, to beat me down, to make my life hell. This world has also decided that, because they thought they could get away with it I will bring this world to its knees and shape it to actual justice.
It's the same reason that instead of going quietly out of hero society, instead of hiding from those who wronged me I deliberately chose to quit my school and get my revenge in a dramatic and careless fashion. It's the reason that I rushed into the fray of things recklessly and started to build my criminal organisation, it's the reason that I didn't kill that damn rabbit for coming at me to take me in, even though it would benefit me and help keep the heroes in the dark, because I'm not afraid of this world. Be it All Might, All For One or even Izuku Midoriya.
Because I'm done hiding away, from shying away, from opposing what's actually wrong with this world, with these people. Someone has to serve actual justice in this society of hypocrites. If I wasn't fighting for others as well as myself then I might never have been in a situation to unlock my powers.
I'm fighting for justice but my justice comes from vengeance. That is what real justice means.
A white haired man who practically radiated a familiar eerie calmness and confidence that made the Aoyama family sweat in nervousness as they curse their own bad decisions.
The Aoyamas have been living happily for the past three years after All For Ones death. The death of all their family's problems and anxieties as the debt and threat of his wrath silently hung over their heads.
Not a day goes by that they don't regret their decision, it may have worked out in the end however that's a weak excuse at best.
Their son Yuga had the misfortune of being born Quirkless, whilst they have no problems or issues with those born without powers the rest of the population doesn't agree with their sentiments. They've heard and seen what becomes of the Quirkless, those driven to suicide by those with issues, those who hate or resent society, they didn't want that for Yuga.
Their family business has its roots run very deep in Japan's history, and when their company was first born there was also a myth of someone else who existed at the time. Japan's boogeyman, All For One. A man who could take Quirks and give then to others.
They didn't know what they were doing, at the time they were desperate to give Yuga what the world cruelly denied him, a Quirk and power of his own to wield, and they were honestly unsure if he even existed.
They remembered the soothing smile and relaxed facial expression he held yet this eerie and evil aura seemed to follow him everywhere, no matter how evil he was being, yet they chose to put themselves under him and ask for him to give their son a Quirk.
Their wish was granted however it didn't come without price, they willingly put themselves in debt with one of the most evil men to ever exist.
Looking back their own stupidity surprised even them.
The Aoyama company has a lot of influence and power in the business world, they committed many crimes that would have people put away for decades in order to avoid his wrath, life was a hellish struggle to avoid the hand of death.
When they were finally freed with All For Ones death they felt such immense relief and joy that the chains of evil were broken off their souls, they no longer had to endure his cruelty, they were free.
That was nearly three years ago, three years of freedom, three years since they learned that their son could become an actual hero, three years of happiness and smiles... but all good things must come to an end.
The young man in front of them gave off the very same aura as the Quirk stealing super villain who ruled over their lives.
They were frozen in fear when he spoke." You are the Aoyamas, correct? I'm sorry for dropping in unannounced but I was in the neighborhood, it's been so long since the old man dropped by your lovely home. Figured that I'd go in his place since he can't anymore."
Each word that he spoke carried weight that would crush a normal man, though having met All For One in person on multiple occasions made the Aoyamas adapt to the atmosphere that man seemed to be shrouded in, as the Aoyamas were given a bitter message.
That they aren't free from his grasp even in death.
The carefree expression never left his face as he ushered them to sit down." Why are you so tense? I've only come for a little chat, so why don't you sit down and we get to know each other a little better?" No matter how welcoming or friendly the young man in front of them appeared his words never failed to straighten and shock their spines.
They did as ordered without struggle and they could tell that them squirming like worms was amusing the man in front of them.
"Now, now don't be so tense, I'm not asking a lot of you, given the debt that you owe my family this should be a fairly simple task." His words held a dark amusement that held over their heads and they suddenly felt a massive sense of exhaustion that they haven't felt for a while.
They learned that day that their nightmare wasn't over.
After finishing up with my business in the Aoyamas I had Shouko open a Warp Gate for me, this Quirk is far superior to Warping and Shouko has been training so hard with it that it that it moves me. Oh what a gem of a young woman she is.
The look on their face when a portal opened up right next to me also sent a little reminder. That I can show up here whenever I please, that nowhere they go can escape me. Being connected to All For One has its Quirks indeed. Pun not intended.
There's no doubt in my mind that Doctor Garaki would never work for me, given that I killed the man he worshipped like a god, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have his uses, with the use of many manipulation Quirks I managed to extract the names of several important figures in Japan's biggest companies. All For One really did have this country under his thumb.
I've only taken the time to visit a few of these big names with each and every one making me laugh inside with how much these big name, fancy pants, corporate leader are positively pissing themselves just from me being in the same room as them.
I might be a bit drunk or addicted to power at this point, but with how great this feels who wouldn't?
Using 'Storage' to open my own personal pocket dimension I withdrew a notepad and didn't even bother holding back the face tearing grin that stretched across my lips and strained my cheeks.
Time to visit the Intelli family.
Saiko has no idea who this strange man is but she's decided that she hates him.
Her family is her pride and joy, the Intelli are know throughout Japan for being geniuses, because of their powerful IQ increasing Quirks, ever since she was a young age her parents have been teaching her the values of pride and not cowering down to others, because what can they do? How could somebody of a lower IQ possibly do to you? It doesn't matter if you can't out muscle them, you outsmart them.
So why are her parents that she prides herself on so much quivering and cowering like leaves against a mighty wind in the presence of a man.
Well she says man however he looks eighteen at most, hardly even five years older than her, she will admit that he is quite handsome in a 'what you'd expect' sort of way, like if he sat completely still and didn't make a sound he'd just blend into the air, and he held himself with such overwhelming confidence that it was almost staggering just watching him effortlessly hold a conversation with her father, as though her dad wasn't the owner of a multi billion yen business, and it was actually him that seemed to immediately cave into everything that this guy said. It was like his word was law.
Listening into their conversation Saiko was disgusted with the way her parents were acting, they taught her to be prideful, to flaunt her power, to never give ground to people. Yet here they were doing exactly what they taught her not to do.
"Ah it appears that your daughter is eavesdropping on our conversation."
Her body seems to lock up as a wave of emotions that she cannot identify wash over and envelop her at the words their uninvited guest sends her way. Saiko can't help but feel a ball of dread appear in her guts in that moment.
"Well why don't you join us mrs Saiko, you are supposedly a fan of tea, and what we're talking about effects the entire family, there's no reason for you not to be involved as well." His words are soothing like chamomile tea but for some reason she can't help but feel both attracted and repelled by him.
What is he doing to her?
Her body moves despite her minds protests and she opens the door to her living room to find her mother and father sitting in one end of their living room table, looking very tense and rigid in their posture as a showing of their fright, with the white haired man simply sipping a cup of tea.
"Why don't you sit down with us? We have so much to about?"
He patted a chair that was scarily close to his own, though being in the same room as him seemed to be enough to frighten her for some reason, and she could do nothing but obey him.
However the moment she sat down her thoughts felt fleeting and her clothes restraining as her entire body flared and pulsed with an unknown sensation that she wasn't sure she disliked.
He continued talking however her ears just couldn't seem to focus on what Ryoto, that was his name, was talking about when it came to business, she just couldn't help but be mesmerised by all his physical features.
His short but thick white hair seemed so alluring to her, his eyes so gorgeous, he looked so mature and certain of himself in a way that she found extremely attra-
She cut off her own thoughts as her face suddenly burned red and she hid her face between the barrier that was her hands. Her parents were too scared out of their wits to notice but she could have sworn that Ryoto noticed immediately but kept to himse- why is he all she can think about?!
She's no dense fool, it's obvious that she is suddenly, and strangely, extremely attracted to the man in front of her. For some reason she starts to wonder what he'd look like shirtless, would he be muscular or- she needs to STOP thinking about him so much. She's an intelligent, dignified young woman, not some horny desperate fangirl that can't control her own urges!
"-ll I'm glad that we could get that all settled out. I just wanted to drop by and make sure your updated on the new situation, with me being in charge and all, and I bid you, the Intellis, a good afternoon."
Her parents looked away with sweat dripping down their faces strangely enough, what exactly were they talking about that could-
Her body suddenly felt extremely sensitive to touch before-
"Is something wrong Saiko?" Her mother asked despite the instense amount of fear she felt herself.
Turning her head she felt a massive sense of embarrassment and shame all of a sudden in a way that somehow aroused her as she felt warmth and wetness down in her privates.
The full gravity of the situation only hit her when Ryoto left the living room and she had to withhold a whine at the realisation that he was leaving.
Why did she feel such a large attachment to a man she's known for five minutes?!
Saiko is a logical girl, she knows that logically she shouldn't be attracted to a man that's already an adult, logically she should feel violated or disgusted that a man that's as old as him touched her in such a way.
But right now her body felt a deep sense of frustration, she just can't help but feel so unsatisfied with what she was served, she needs more, she needs-
Her body started running out of the door, ignoring her parents words of discouragement at the act of following Ryoto however she swerved and darted down the hall until she found him holding the door handle.
"Hold on." She breathes out causing him to hesitate in turning the handle and turn his bloody gaze on the light blue haired girl in front of him.
She notes that his presence seems far less intimidating right now, he seems far more approachable and he smelled extremely-
"What might you need from me? I'm a busy guy so could you please not leave me waiting?" His words are urgent but she doesn't feel any rudeness from him.
Being reminded of what she wanted to ask made her face redden and her heartbeat quickly, she shouldn't say it she shouldn't say it she shou-
"What was that back there?" Her face is practically scarlet from the embarrassment of the question, she expected a snide comment, or him to say something that would disturb her but-
He looked at her with genuine confusion, which caught her off guard." What might you be talking about? I didn't do anything."
Huh?
His words surprise her, if he's lying then he's doing a good job of it since she cannot detect anything other than confusion on his features, genuine confusion at that! Bit that's impossible, she felt his hand right on her left leg unless...
Did- did she hallucinate what happened? She was extremely out of her mind the entire time, perhaps she was merely imagining what happened? No! She is-
Her face was still red but she gained an indignantly look." Don't lie to me! Back there you made me, well feel something and it... well." It was only after the words left her mouth that she realised how she really sounded.
He gained a flat look and patted her head." Of course sweetheart." He said in a tone that conveyed the message that he was clearly just saying that to satisfy her, like she was just a child in this situation! That's blasphemy!
Though she hated how good it felt when he placed his hand on her head, like she was just a kitten, his pet, his playthin- what is happening to her?! He has to be doing this on purpose.
Ryoto merely raised an eyebrow at her, clearly unimpressed." I understand that girls your age develop feeling for people quite easily, whilst I'm flattered that a pretty young girl like you would feel that way about me, it'd do us both good for you to develop feelings on somebody that is your age, if you still have feeling for me in a few years time and I'm not with anybody then I'll have no problem giving you a chance. However as for right now it would simply be inappropriate for me to have a romantic relationship with a child. Have a nice day Saiko."
She was left so jaw droppingly shocked at his words that her mouth hung open as though she were a nut cracker and he closed the door behind him before she had a chance to say a word more.
A child?! Oh the sheer nerve of this man!
His words were simply offensive on so many levels to her, they were completely logical however she didn't really care for logic at the moment. A few years?! Inappropriate?!-
Wait he thinks she's prett- oh why are feelings so confusing?
