Most people think that my Quirk is invincible, and maybe they're right to a degree, however if I were unstoppable then all of my efforts would be for nothing. The sad reality is that I have my limits that I constantly need to increase if I want to make my dreams a reality.
For example I can only store so many Quirks if I want to tap into the full effects of what Quirks I do have, for most people who have too many Quirks in their body they simply shut down but for me it's a bit different, my Quirks get weaker if I have too many abilities at once, it's the reason that I make sure to keep only powerful and useful Quirks for myself, because I'd be spread too thin if I had thousands of Quirks inside of me, I like to think of it as my body being a power supply and my Quirks being light bulbs, my powers get more energy and glow brighter if I have fewer light bulbs that I need to supply.
The reason I wanted 'Cell Activation' is because by increasing my Quirkless strength I can improve the power of my Quirks by helping to lessen the strain that holding multiple of them at once presents.
I sat down on a log with sweat dripping down my bare torso as I used my ability to activate my own cells and increase my overall physical ability, I'd long opted to go in a regular black tank top and green cargo pants instead of my trademark black suit, not very classy of me but I don't want it to constantly smell like sweat all the time, I do have my style.
I stood up after just a minute of rest with zero pain on my muscles, I honestly didn't think that 'Cell Activation' would be as massively effective and useful as it really is but the Quirk is fantastic, it doesn't even have any drawbacks or backlash, just free healing and stamina.
Using nothing but my own physical ability I punched a tree in front of me with the wood cracking under my blow as my fist was indented inside the forestry.
I withdrew my fist and was surprised to find no damage whatsoever on my fist despite the fact I just punched solid wood.
After using my Quirkless strength I moved on to test out something that I was curious about.
I activated a Quirk called 'Power', a powerful physical enhancement that I can apply to my other Quirks for a more... explosive result.
My muscles seemed to bulge slightly as an effect of 'Power' and my fist disappeared in a blur as the tree's bark caved in under my strike as though it were mere air with wooden splinters flying everywhere and the tree collapsing, with it's structure becoming unstable given the gaping hole that was present in it's side.
I stared at what I just did and then back at my fists. That... was more powerful than before, I've punches trees apart but when I used just one enhancer I always felt a little bit of resistance, that was nothing just a lunch and it felt like paper.
But then again 'Power' is a multiplier, it doesn't add onto your existing strength it amplifies it, perhaps my physique and natural strength improving was enough to push this Quirk to new heights.
I'm out here in a remote location that is free from others to test and train my powers without disruption, I don't have to hold back my abilities.
I threw my arm up and attempted to push my limits with how many Quirks I could combine.
Stacking Quirks is a process that puts a large burden on my body depending on what Quirks that I'm stacking, some Quirks put a lesser strain on my body than others but if I use too many powerful abilities in one attack then it's just too much for me.
But maybe-
Power + Muscle Augmentation + Kinetic Booster + Strength Enhancement + Limb Elongation
I used five different Quirks at once, a feat which I could never do before, and was surprised by how little strain that I was feeling from stretching my powers as my Muscles turned a red colour and my arm grew to downright comical sizes as and seemed to bulge out.
The limb felt strange however I am adaptable and I threw my fist forward just to see what would happen. The results didn't disappoint.
Trees were uprooted and splinters flew everywhere as a massive wave of wind was picked up from the attack that seemes to ravage the area with various objects flying around in the air that landed god knows where.
I stopped the combination and just took a second to admire the scene in front of me, where a large amount of trees was once present is a giant... well what do you call a massive patch of just dirt and toppled over trees?
Still though I couldn't stop myself from grinning. That was five Quirks at once and I felt nearly no strain.
I turned my attention over to another cluster of trees and raised my hand to try another combination.
Jetstream + Power + Multiplier + Muscle Augmentation + Kinetic Booster + Strength Enhancement
I felt quite a lot of strain from using so many Quirks at once but my limit wasn't quite reached yet, my right appendage formed into a cluster of arms that all built up a ball of air and let loose a moment later. The result was simply beautiful.
A massive push of air shot out of my arm that was so powerful that even with my large amount of strength boosters I struggled to keep my arm straight and power through, the attack ravaged the forestry in front of it as a massive tornado which dwarfed even my Ultimate Move I made up which was likely the result of my arm almost turning into a cluster of five arms that were all bunched together and 'Jetstream' seemed to work in each of them, add in a massive amount of enhancers and well... you get that.
Trees were uprooted and blown away and so was land, a giant hole seemed to have formed in place of where land once was as a result of such a destructive attack but the attack was clearly just that, raw power.
So that's what happens when you shove half a dozen enhancers on top of just a regular Quirk. How utterly absurd.
It was then that at the corner of my eye I spotted something, a red spot of liquid on the grass my feet rested on.
Another drop seemed to leak from under my nose and I brought my finger up to my nose to wipe the blood from my nose bleed up. So six is my new limit, good to know.
But just inside my head the idea of all the combination I could pull off left me feeling like a small child who wanted to test out a bunch of his new toys but ultimately I'd spent too much time training to begin with, my doubles can't do everything afterall.
I left my training area and began to fly back to the base with a feeling of satisfaction like no other at this very welcome development.
Overhaul had to withhold a yell of frustration as he once again failed at using Eri's blood to create the weapon he desired.
It sounded so simple in his head, if Eri's Quirk can be used to rewind the body of a person then what about their Quirk factor's? Could she be able to rewind his species back into it's pure untainted state before the dawn of Quirks? Could she be the cure he's been looking for?
Ever since he became the head of the Shie Hassaikai he's been doing his best to make them as infamous as they used to be and eventually when he discovered Eri's power and what it could do, it's possibilities, he thought of it's effects on the Quirk factor as well as the body.
The Yakuza would sell Quirk destroying bullets to the villains and criminals of the world whilst a cure will be sold to the heroes and since Eri is the source of the drug nobody else would have the ability to produce them, thus the entire market would be theirs to dominate and profit off of.
However the old man refuse. He refused the thing that would put them back on top. As much as he loves his dad the man doesn't adapt at all and if things went the way he wanted they the Yakuza would simply die out completely in maybe a decade or so tops if Overhaul didn't step in and... let him rest for a while. Yeah that's it, he just needs to sit back, relax and let his son take care of the rest and do what needs to be done.
However making the actual bullet itself is a pain in the ass, Eri's Quirk rewinds a whole lot more than just the Quirk factor of their target and he needs to precisely isolate her power's effect so that it only removes the Quirk of the target and nothing else. And he's been doing this for nearly a year and progress, whilst steady, is nowhere near as fast as he'd like. He's never been a patient man and doesn't plan on starting now.
He shook his head and pinched his eyes which stung from staring into the light of a microscope and tweaking and altering the effects of his weapon so that he can try yet another prototype until he gets it right before looking around his dark lab and decided that he's spent too much time in his lab at once, he can't work effectively with so little energy, he'll come back later with a new look on things.
Overhaul walked out of his lab and spoke to the two bullets of the Hassaikai Hojo and Setsuno." Guard the lab and make sure that everything is well kept."
The two merely nodded evenly at his words and then walked off to take a breather and come back a little later.
Once he was out of sight the blonde man named Setsuno spoke in a hushed tone to the man with crystals all over his body." Hey Hojo knock knock."
Hojo just looked at him weirdly." What are you doing? I don't have time for dumb jo- aaaghh!" He suddenly cried out and he found a strange black blade which seemed to protrude out of Setsuno's index fingertip and stab him in the back. He groaned from the pain as a fist met his face and he fell unconcious.
Setsuno laughed a little at how easy it was to take that crystal guy down and how lovely the Quirk she'd got from Ryoto really was.
The Rivet retracted into her finger once again as she forced her way into Setsuno's lab with her original Quirk causing her disguise to melt off and revert to her real appearance.
Her name was Himiko Toga, known by the world as 'the girl gone mad' and a freak to most that had a fascination with blood that most would find unnerving, however he didn't find her scary, he said that there was nothing wrong with simply being herself, that she didn't have to hide who she was in a civilised society, he said all of this after she's attempted to stab him in the nech only for her precious knives to shatter.
Still, though she might be enjoying her job a bit too much she knows when she needs to be smart and get her job done, Ryoto needs her and she won't let him down.
Her eyes couldn't see in this darkness so she turned on the lights and instantly zeroed in on what she was asked to retrieve.
I'm looking for a dart bullet it will be red and non lethal, it is vital that you get me onw of his prototype's because I have a theory about what he's cooking up so I need you to get the bullet for me. Yes I'll give you blood if you do a good job.
Himiko grabbed the bullet which looked ready for testing and got ready to leave with the bullet-
Suddenly she heard the creak of the door opening behind her and she turned back.
Overhaul rubbed his eyes as he walked into his laboratory once again, he was going to take a break but then he realised something that could speed up the process with the bullet and had to test it on the prototype.
Himiko did her best to remain silent and keep off of Overhaul's radar. If Ryoto's words about him were true then she really doesn't want to find him as an enemy. There isn't another way to get out of this room besides that one door, oh well she's always preferred the bloody option anyway.
Overhaul was confused to find that his prototype bullet was gone and come to think of it he definitely kept the lights-
"Aaaaghhh!" He screamss in pain as a volley of strange black blades pierced his organs with his breathing becoming painful as his stomach and lungs were run through.
He collapsed to the ground as blood leaked out of his mask and Himiko used him being distracted in the moment as a way to run out the front door as fast as she can.
Overhaul did his best to patch up his wounds with his Quirk but the pain was making using his ability difficult, given that his power requires immense focus.
Himiko dashed down the hall as she pocketed the bullet and made her way out of Yakuza facility with great haste. Shd loves when things go her way.
"A Quirk destroying bullet?" Garaki asked with intrigue at such an idea with the scientist side of him being unable to not find some fascination with the project.
The young master nodded as he held a little red bullet between his fingers in front of the doctor." An incomplete one but yes, I want you to find out just what exactly this is and just how it works. I trust that you can do that for me."
Garaki takes the bullet between his fingers and analyses it with his scientists eye." I can find out exactly what it is but I might not be able to do much with it other than that."
Ryoto smiled nonetheless just like his old master did." That doesn't matter doctor, just find out exactly how it works, you could say that I want to know who's power is responsible for making this bullet."
Garaki raised and eyebrow in intrigue." And what makes you think that this power came from someone's Quirk?" Not that the doctor was arguing, it did make some deal of sense afterall, but it's a bit of a leap to assume that simply based on what the bullet actually does.
Ryoto merely kept a smile on his face and responded very vaguely." Just a hunch doctor, just a hunch." However a mere moment later his expression became serious once again." Is it ready? For my plans to move forward it'd be a big help."
Garaki raised an eyebrow and again repeated the cost of what he's suggesting." Are you really sure that you want to do this? It will weaken you a bit in the long run and we can always-"
Ryoto held up his hand and stopped Garaki before he could continue." I understand the consequences but the rewards are simply too good to pass over, if this works then even 'One For All' won't be enough to stop me."
Garaki looked into those red orbs and sighed at the knowledge that there was no swaying his mind." Very well, prepare for the operation."
Ryoto let a smirk show on his face, if your insanity fails you your brilliantly insane but if it succeeds then your insanely brilliant. Now all he needs to do is recruit Izuku.
Aoi did her best to improve her Quirk as she practiced her control over the winds which she generates.
Aoi has a massive problem with her Quirk, namely it's versatility, her control over the winds she generates are poor since 'Air Cannon' is a relatively straightforward Quirk, however the simplicity of the Quirk is also her weakness.
She is grateful every day for the power she was gifted by Ryoto and it's her duty to make sure that this power doesn't go to waste on her. She's trying to control the winds which her Quirk can generate to do more than simply fire out of her arm like a cannon.
She fired some wind from her arm but instead of firing as much as possible she tried to just hold onto it and control it's shape.
She breathed deeply as the winds of her Quirk came to a stop for an instant before it destabilised and her Quirk couldn't maintain itself.
She groaned in frustration at the complete lack of progress. Apparently their leader needs to be away for a couple of weeks in order to get something done, it annoys her a little that he simply left with a very vague explanation but she trusts him, plus they have Twice around to keep a double of him as a substitute.
Ryoto is a mysterious man, even after knowing him for these few years she has absolutely zero clue as to what goes on in that head of his, it's not that she doesn't trust him but it's a bit suspicious that he isn't sharing his plans with anyone other than himself. She doesn't have the full story though and she trusts him with her life.
So despite her concerns she merely continues with her training to help him out, to achieve the more just society that he promised her and the others.
