Chapter 793 Covention
I don't own Bleach or any of the powers and gear used in this story.
Kazuo was near Eda shop and she was trying to sell stuff while he was sitting on a rooftop.
"Hey Kazuo." Luz looks foward.
(Insert Kuchibue no Kimochi here.)
She heard whistling and looks to see Kazuo doing it.
"Wow." She was amazed.
Eda got surprised and a guy said: "Hey is this your show?"
"Oh yeah, pay to see the kid whistle." Eda said some started to pay her as he does it.
He then dances around and a few creatures fly around and he whistles as they danced.
Luz moves with the song too and was enjoying it.
Kazuo was having fun before someone throws something at him being a rock and he dodges it.
"Turn that ear scrapping sound down!"
"Hey!" The others that were listening got mad and chased after the guy.
"Well not a bad day." Eda said. "We got enough to eat."
Kazuo then Luz's friends Willow and Gus.
"Luz! Something amazing is happening today!" Gus said.
"Gus, Willow." Luz smiles happy to see their friends.
"Huh?" Kazuo comes down upside down surprising the two.
"Oh guys, meet Kazuo. Kazuo these are Willow Gus." Luz introduced them.
"Oh hi." They said to Kazuo and he waves back.
"What are you doing?" Kazuo asked.
"It's the annual covention! Student witches get to see all the types of covens before they're placed in one. There's even a mystery guest this year." Willow said.
"A job fair for witches! Eda, can we go?" Luz asks excited.
"Absolutely not." Eda said causing Luz to whimper. "I never joined a coven for a reason. Sure, it's like a fun club for witches, but you're also giving up your magical independence to be part of a crooked system."
Kazuo raises a eyebrow at her.
Eda looks at Gus and Willow. ""But you know, no judgment. In any case, I haven't been to one since we were girls."
"Who's we?" Kazuo said.
"You have a mysterious past! Now we gotta go!" Luz said.
"No way." Eda said.
Then Luz gave her Azura book to King.
"You shall not shan't doeth no more harm, Azura callethed out…" King read aloud.
"So flowery, so awful." Eda said opening her portal to the human world.
"Hecate could only screech, screech as did she, for the screeching did worseneth." King read as Luz grabs King and tosses him through the portal before it closes.
Kazuo counted to three and Eda walks out with King on her head.
"Stop it! Stop it! I will literally do anything, just stop this!" Eda said.
Soon they were all standing in front of the Covention and King was struggling to get Eda's cowl over her head.
"Gotta keep a low profile." Eda grunts.
"Is that cowl really necessary?" Luz asks helping her.
"Do you think all my wanted posters are for petty theft?" Eda asks as tons of snacks and items fell out of her cowl.
"Well partly. But the big whammy is I disobeyed the law and refused to join a coven. If I'm seen, I could go to jail. Again." Eda said stuffing the items back in.
"Maybe this informative event will inspire you to join a coven." Willow said but Eda just yanks her hood over Willow's head.
"Let's just get this over with." Eda said.
Walking inside they saw banners for the main 10 Covens right out of the gate.
Kazuo looks at them all.
"Was I even alive before now?" Luz asks.
"Those are the main 10 but there are hundreds of other ones you can join." Gus said as they walked past them.
"There's Flower Coven, Artist Coven, Big Dog Coven, Small Cat Coven, Tiniest Cat Coven." Willow lists causing Eda to groan. "And the Grumpy Coven." She whispers.
"What was that?" Eda glares causing them to yelp.
"Excuse me ma'am but you look familiar." A man said looking at her and then a wanted poster of her on the wall.
"Uh no I don't. Distraction Spell!" Eda said throwing a bag of chips to the ground before running off.
Kazuo helps the others bolt it too.
Kazuo walks around by his own and sees many of the stuff there and it was interesting for what it is.
"Hello Bonesbourough! Students ask me all the time, Principal Bump, what's the height of magical achievement?" Bump said.
"Is it this?" One student asks making a spell circle causing his head to grow big and ended up falling on top of the audience member next to him crushing it.
"Wow. I failed you as a principal. It's being selected to join the best of the best. And there are none better than the jewel of the coven system and the enforcers of His will, the Emperor's Coven." Bump said as three Emperor's coven members in masks appeared on stage.
Kazuo got curious and watches.
"Feast your eyes on this elite force, each member handpicked to help usher in a new age of controlled magic." Bump said as one member created fire, one created water and the last created lighting.
The three spells are launched in the air before creating fireworks.
"Members of the Emperor's Coven have access to all yes, all forms of magic. Ooh. Aah." Bump said.
"Ooh. Aah." The audience said mimicking him.
"But only the best can ascend these ranks. Some day that could be one of you!" Bump said pointing at Amity in the stands causing her to squeal.
As the three members left the stage, Bump stepped up.
"And now, I'm pleased to introduce the esteemed leader of this coven and this year's mystery guest. You know her, you love her! Lilith!" Bump declared.
From above a blue raven flew in and landed on stage before it revealed an adult woman with ivory skin, pointy ears and indigo hair. This was Lilith Clawthorne.
Kazuo stares at her and she kinda resembles Eda.
"Thank you, all. It wasn't easy for me to rise to the top. I also started from humble beginnings." Lilith said.
"Like me?" The big-headed student said with stars in his eyes.
"Now I have the highest honor of enforcing the Emperor's will. So be more! The Emperor's Coven awaits you!" Lilith declares waving her hand creating balls of blue light.
Kazuo goes away and Luz came to his side. "Come on, theres so much stuff to see."
She grabs his hand and they went foward but the bumped into Amity.
"Hey watch where you're go—oh it's you. Willow's abomination thing." Amity glares.
Kazuo looks at her and Amity got surprised. "Too close." She pushes him back.
"Sorry." He said.
"Hey, Amity. So, funny story. Not an abomination. Sorry for the confusion last week. I-I'm Luz. The human." Luz corrects holding out her hand.
"Ugh put that away. You got me in trouble with Principal Bump and I never get in trouble." Amity said.
"Sorry." Luz got nervous.
"You shouldn't even be here. This covention is for witches only." Amity said.
"I'm learning how to be a witch too. I'm receiving magic lessons from a powerful witch and a ferocious demon." Luz said when Amity looks past them.
"Is that your ferocious demon there?" Amity asks.
Looking over they saw King covered in Covention Hats, scarves and t-shirts while holding a cupcake.
"Cupcakes in my tummy-tum makes the King say yummy-yum!" King smiles.
"So you'll join the Baker's Coven?" A baker asks as King eats the cupcake.
"Hmm nope." King said taking another one and running off. "Hey guys check out all these offerings." King said before tripping over and dropping his cupcake.
"You okay." Kazuo helps him up.
"Yeah i'm fine." King said.
"Oops. That was an accident." Amity smirks.
"What's your problem?" Kazuo said.
"My problem is she and her pet give witches a bad name." Amity Said.
"I am not a pet!" King said scratching his face with his foot like a dog.
"He's a very good boy and the King of Demons!" Luz said hugging him. "It's one thing to say I can't be a witch."
"Because you can't." Amity said.
"But it's another thing to bully my friends." Luz said.
"Well what are you gonna do about it? You don't know any magic." Amity smirks.
Kazuo goes up to her face. "But I do. How about a little bet. I win and you have to say your sorry and let Luz do what she wants."
"Fine but if I win she must stop learning magic." Amity said.
Kazuo looks at Luz who nodded. "Okay." He shakes Amity hand making a glow happened.
Amity walks away and Luz said: "You can do it Kazuo."
"Yeah, what else can you do?" King asked.
"You'll see, just need to make sure Eda doesn't cheat." Kazuo said.
Down another hall, Eda was trying to find the way out when Lilith who was signing autographs spotted her.
"Sister?" Lilith said causing Eda to turn around. "It's been so long since I've seen you last. What are you wearing? You look like some sort of trash collector. Oh, right. You are." Lilith said walking over.
"Oh, Lily. I just had to see the leader of the Emperor's Coven in action." Eda said before looking to Lilith's fans. "You know, when we were kids, Lilith was so excited to see the Emperor's Coven, she peed a little."
Hearing this the kids started to laugh while Lilith turned red embarrassed.
"Tha-That's all for today." Lilith said shooing the kids away before turning to Eda. "You shouldn't even be here. You're a wanted criminal. Unless...I don't believe it. You're here to join the Emperor's Coven!" Lilith gasps causing Eda to burst into laughter.
"In your dreams." Eda said.
"You think being covenless makes you so much smarter than everyone else. But while you run from the law like a degenerate, I'm mentoring the next generation of powerful witch students into the world." Lilith boasts.
"Well I have my own students too. And I bet they can wipe the floor with any of your prissy little blue bloods." Eda said.
"Is that a challenge?" Lilith asks.
"You bet it is." Eda said.
"And who in their right mind would let you teach their child?" Lilith asks when Luz and Kazuo ran in.
"Eda, Kazuo challenged Amity to a witches' duel!" Luz said when Lilith noticed Kazuo.
She stares at him and felt something familiar.
"It appears your student has met my strongest protégé. I mean what is this? Two humans? Where did you even find them?" Lilith asks shaking it off.
"Well then it appears our best students will be duking it out. Time to see if you're as good as you say you are." Eda said.
"Okay, Edalyn. For one day, you won't have to hide from the law, because I want to see how good a teacher you really are." Lilith walks away.
"Just don't cheat okay Eda." Kazuo said.
"Pft, knowing who your dad is this will be easy." Eda shrugs.
Later
In the theater, Eda and Kazuo stood on one side with Luz behind them and Lilith and Amity stood across from them.
"Beloved citizens, the Emperor's Coven proudly presents an impromptu demonstration of the sort of witch we seek every year. Introducing Amity Blight." Lilith said as the crowd cheered.
"Versus Kazuo Machida." Lilith said.
Kazuo goes foward as the bell rang as Amity goes foward.
"Hope your ready human." Amity said.
Kazuo just chuckles making her mad.
"Abomination Rise!" Amity said as abomination appeared but it was at least 3 times bigger than normal.
"Whoa!" She got surprised before looking back at Kazuo. "Show me what you can do."
Kazuo smirks as he teleported behind her.
"What?!" Amity said and she ducks to avoid a punch while her abomination tries to hit him but he teleports away.
"Teleportation?!" Lilith got shocked.
"Yes, she can't hit him." Eda said.
"Go Kazuo!" Luz said.
Kazuo teleports around the arena. "Over here! Over here! Over here!"
Amity got confused looking around before he stopped. "You can't hit me." He sticks his tongue out.
She got mad and her abomination tries to attack but Kazuo shot a dark blast breaking it to pieces.
"Ha! How do you like me now Lily?" Eda calls out but Lilith keeps her cool.
"Not impressed." Lilith said as the Abomination reformed into smaller ones.
They charged at Kazuo who yawns, then his eyes changed as the Susanoo skeleton came out knocked them away.
"What?!" Amity got shocked seeing it while the crowd was amazed.
Kazuo's eyes was now the Sharingan as he smiles.
"That's impossible, that construct is protecting him by having the boy inside of it." Lilith said.
"That's so awesome!" Luz said.
"Inside of that thing, he's golden." Eda said.
The Susanoo punches many of the abominations away breaking them one by one as it goes foward.
Many then grabbed on to it and Amity said: "I'll just have to restrain it."
But then a reaction happened as the abominations got blown off as she got shocked, she then saw skin start to appear.
"It's... Changing!" Willow said from her seats.
It grows legs as it stands even taller making Amity look up. "Uh oh."
It was now the humanoid Susanoo that looks like Shisui's version holding it's drill weapon and it was looking down at her with Kazuo in the chest.
The abominations made the bigger one but the Susanoo pierces through it destroying it again as it has a hard time to recover.
Kazuo laughs. "You never stood a chance, no matter what." Kazuo then noticed something on her neck. "Hey what's that on your neck?"
"Wait." Eda appears behind Amity.
"Hey what are you—" Eda pulls something off the back of her neck and it caused both Abominations to shrink to normal size before getting crushed by their own heads.
"A power glyph from the Construction Coven." Eda declares holding it up for everyone to see.
"She cheated." Willow gasps looking to Gus.
"Ah-ha! Yes, yes, yes-yes-yes! You cheated. Perfect, prissy Lilith cheated. Hot dang, I love coventions!" Eda cheers.
"I only did that because I knew you would cheat!" Lilith said.
"Still cheated! Welcome down to my level!" Eda laughs. "Also I didn't even need to cheat." That made Lilith jaw drop. "I knew Kazuo would have won no matter what."
"What... I cheated... And I would have still... L-lose." Amity was in shock as Kazuo puts the Susanoo back.
Amity then runs off and Kazuo said: "Amity!" He goes after her.
"Kazuo!" Luz said.
Nearby Eda was doing a victory dance.
"Knock it off you're making a scene." Lilith said.
"You cheated. Hey, where's the Rhyming Coven? What rhymes with cheated?" Eda asks.
"Stop acting like a child!" Lilith said.
"You were defeated, don't get heated, get your stank face treated." Eda rhymes.
"Rhyme one more thing I dare you!" Lilith growls.
"Oh, it's okay, I'm done. Because my rhymes are depleted!" Eda said.
"That's it!" Lilith snaps summoning her staff and blasts Eda.
"There she is." Eda grins summoning her staff before attacking back.
"Witch's Duel!" A student calls out.
Kazuo goes outside and he saw Amity crying in a corner.
"Amity." He goes up to her.
"Just leave me alone." She said.
"I didn't mean to make you look bad." He said
"That's all you and your dumb human friend ever do!" Amity snaps standing up to look him in the eye. "First at school and now this! You made me look like a fool in front of the Emperor's Coven. My future! You have all this power, the Monado for crying out loud and you don't even want the amazing gifts skills like this can give you! I have worked my entire life to get to the top and then you come here and just humiliated me. You knew I would lose badly."
"I have problems too." He said surprising her. "I had to work hard too, since I want to be helpful to my friends. So I always get stronger no matter what. Since it's just who I am. I also work hard but i'm not mean to others."
She got up. "Okay. Since you won. Your friend gets to continue, even if humans can't do Magic, that won't stop her and your different aren't you?"
He nodded. "I can't tell since that would cause some real trouble."
"Fine... Also." She kisses his cheek making him blush while Amity smirks. "I got one on you. Also i'm... Sorry" She walks away.
Luz saw that and glares at Amity for doing that to Kazuo.
She then grabs him. "Let's go."
Kauzo got dragged away and Luz was still frowning.
Note: Kazuo went to the Covention and he won against Amity without cheating as Eda was sure he can do it since he's the son of the Soul King, Amity might be a good witch and got a boost from Lilith, but I don't see her winning at all, Kazuo is in a whole other league, all she did was force the Susanoo to evolve to the humanoid form, but now Amity is interested in Kazuo.
