Chapter Six
"Huh…" said Danielle, taking in her surroundings since falling asleep. "Where am I?"
Since falling asleep after such a day at Hexside, Danielle noticed her out of body experience was different this time. She was not at the Crossroads where Collector was at. No, she was in a place so white, it almost hurt her eyes. The floor, the ceiling, the walls and pillars were all of white marble. And so was the podium in the center of the room. Wondering what could be on the podium, Danielle starts walking towards it. The moment she was close enough, gold flames lit atop the small pillars next to the podium. Startled, Danielle exhales a calming breath before walking up the steps. Glancing at the podium reveals a white and black flame. Staring at the flame, a light touch from Danielle was enough for it to form words on the wall in front of her. Unfortunately, a lot of the words were blurred out.
"What's going on?" said Danielle, reading some of the words. "Is this… some prophecy or something?"
Light and Dark
A Battle
Eyes of Scarlet
"Eyes of scarlet? Wait… I think I heard that the day I landed on the Boiling Isles," said Danielle, thinking back to that day.
"Scarlet Eyes… must not… Dark!"
"Scarlet Eyes… mmm…" said Danielle, trying to figure the words out before spotting another set of words.
Neither Witch nor Demon
A Child of the Stars
"Could this Scarlet Eyes be someone?" thought Danielle, reading other parts that were readable. "This is all so confusing."
A Mentor
A Lady of Owls
"Eda?" said Danielle, the one person she could think of when that part was read. "Is this pertaining to me or Luz? We're both a studying under her."
Light
Come Down
Take Mortal Form
Many Worlds
How many
Till the Day
Claim Eyes of Scarlet
"Uuuuh…" said Danielle, thinking of one thing. "There's going to be a battle at the end of all this. Who's this Light?"
Rubbing her forehead, Danielle continues to try and decipher some of the words before her. Unfortunately, a lot of it was hard to understand. Walking away from the podium, Danielle heads towards the doors and opens them. Only to reveal what looked to be some armory. Swords, spears, bows and the like were lined on the walls. Hearing shouting nearby, Danielle peeks around the corner to see a young man being yelled at by what looked to be an older relative of his.
The young man looked to be in his early twenties. Short blonde hair, silver eyes and a light complexion. Was wearing what looked to be silver knight's armor with matching silver boots and blue pants and had not only a sword strapped to the left side of his waist but a spear strapped to his back.
"I wonder what they're talking about?" thought Danielle, leaning a little closer.
"I can't believe you allied yourself with the Shield Devil," said the Knight's relative, angry at the Young Knight before brandishing a whip. "I take that back. Of course, you would. Filthy demi!"
"Uncle, I assure," said the Young Knight, bowing his head. "I'm only doing this to get in his good graces. When the time strikes, I'll end him."
"You better Caius," said the Knight's relative, cracking the whip and cutting Caius's left cheek. "Don't come back to the Rabier Estate until you do."
"Yes uncle," said Caius, bowing even further while his uncle walked away, eyes narrowing in anger when he was out of eyesight. "Unfortunately, it'll be you instead alongside Aultcray."
"Oh my… I should not have seen this," thought Danielle, backing up into some swords which crashed to the ground. "Eh…"
"Who's there? I assure you, I'll end your life for entering…" said Caius, his arms going beastly with blonde fur and a set of canine ears popping on top of his head and a bushy blonde tail swishing back and forth in anger before seeing a startled Danielle. "Did you hear my name?"
"Scusa scusa!" said Danielle, backing away. "I didn't mean to…"
"I asked you…" said Caius, walking towards Danielle. "Did you hear my name?"
"Uuuh… yes…" said Danielle, before feeling the pull of her silver chord and disappearing in front of Caius.
"Looks like Hikaru was right. The girl's awakening. Might as well let the other lives know this," said Caius, a white colored portal appearing behind him. "Might as well get the training area set up as well. The Waves of Calamity should work just fine. Can't have her being so weak like a newborn kitten."
